Java 1.5.0_04 and ISA server

i dont have any programming knowledge , but can you tell me if ISA server supports the use of the drag and drop facility in the version stated abovePlease no techy stuff it will go in one ear and out the other.

"Agreed. This doesn't sound like it has anything to do with Java. Try to find a Microsoft (ISA) forum and ask there. Good luck."
do you know of a link that i could see relating to ISA forums, so i can ask my question there.
I too will suggest to them to try other servers. I asked a friend what reverting back to an old version of java would do. And they said it wouldnt solve the problem, but you would just need to copy and paste instead of having a drag n drop facility.
My ex boyfriend use to about java all the time so i kind of know what you guys are on about.
I guess my choices are:
test it on another server;
see to what extent ISA support java applets.
try another port??? how do i do that?
the obvious one ask in an ISA forum

  • Successor for TMG and ISA Server

    Hi all,
    I am planning to buy Forefront TMG 2010. But from the online websites, it is saying that Microsoft has stopped selling Forefront TMG and also by April 2015 will stop support.
    Is there any other solution which I can buy/procure for my organization and implement. It would be really helpfull if someone could guide me in this.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Jdk 1.5.0_04 and Eclipse with SuSE Linux - startup problems with Eclipse

    Hi,
    I have SuSE Linux 9.3 and just downloaded Jdk 1.5.0_04 and Eclipse IDE 3.1 for Linux.
    I have sucessfully installed Java in the following directory under Linux:
    '/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_04'
    And I also have downloaded Eclipse IDE 3.1 for Linux. I have unzipped it into the following directory:
    '/home/juergenkemeter/bin/eclipse/eclipse
    I have chosen the upper Java JRE in the Eclipse preferences.
    Now to my problem:
    Sometimes it happens that when I startup Eclipse or try to runa java program, Eclipse is shut down with a) no comment at all, or b) with an error message "JVM terminated. Exit code = 1 (...)". I can send the picture of the whole screenshot of the error message if it helps.
    Now I think that this is due to wrong installation paths of the Jdk and Eclipse?! Perhaps there are some conflicts regarding user rights (admin and the normal user 'juergenkemeter'.
    If anyone has suggestions, that would be helpful. Its nasty when Eclipse shuts down while programming...
    cheers,
    Jrgen

    I only used the getSystemResource because it is slightly more convenient. The
    getResource version requires a "/" in front of the filename, as in:
    java.net.URL imageURL = getClass().getResource("/" + imageName);
    System.out.println("Loading icon: " + imageName);
    for (int i = 0; i < 32000; i++)
    System.out.println(i);
    icon = new ImageIcon(imageURL);
    Unfortunately, this still deadlocks after a few thousand hits.
    Of course, I don't need thousands of icons in my application, but the real-world issue is that the program locks up every few times it is started, which is a real drag for the customers!
    I suppose the InputStream way would work, though it is not very elegant compared to loading the resource in the usual manner. I'll try it if there are no other suggestions.
    Thanks,
    Dan

  • Error in the Socket Communication between Java Client and VC++ Server

    In my application, using Java Client to do socket bi-communication with VC++ Server, which is done by somebody else.
    The error is after the application properly running one or two days, the VC++ Server cannot receive the messages passed by java Client, but at Java client, everything is the same, although using CheckError() after every print(), there is no exception thrown.
    The JVM is jdk1.3.1, platform is Win2k Server.
    The outputstream is PrintWriter().
    Please help me to settle down this problem. Thanks in advance.

    I read some thread in the forum, and found somebody had the similar problem with me. Just want to know how to settle this problem.
    In the client/server program. Client is a JAVA program and Server a
    VC++ program. The connection works, and the problem appears after some time. The Client sends a lots of requests to Serverm, the server seems receive nothing. But at the same time, the server is able to send messages to Client. The Client also can get the messages and handle them. Don't understand why there this problem and why it appears when it wants.
    The client is a Win2k platorm with JDK1.3.1 and the server is also a Win2K platform with VC++ 6.0.
    In the Client, using:
    inputFromServer = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(socket.getInputStream()));
    outputToServer = new PrintWriter(new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(socket.getOutputStream())),true);
    Hope can get your help.

  • Java for PI 7.1 EHP1 in Windows and SQL Server 2008

    Hi Gurus
    I try to install PI 7.1 EHP1 in Windows and SQL Server 2008. The questions is :
    What version of java is the correct for this installation???
    And where i can download it??
    Thanks and advance!!!

    Hi Aaron,
    The version for PI 7.1 is 1.5, instead of the 1.4.2 of 7.0/3.0.
    Anyway, for VM settings, you should refer to SAP JVM, which
    is used for the PI 7.11.
    Hope it helps!

  • Socket Communication between java client and c++ server

    HI,
    In my project,I want to do the following:
    1.Sending datas from client to server.
    2.Getting the response from server to client.
    I written the client in java.but the server is in c++.
    Is it possible to communicate with the server using java codings itself?
    Im able to send the data from my java client to the server.
    but unable to get back the datas from server to client.
    Can anyone tell me how to do this?
    thanks a lot

    hi
    thanks for ur reply.
    I didnt get any error msg while getting the back the datas.
    Actually i divided my application into two parts.
    My application will act as both server and client.
    server ll get the browser request and send to the client and the client will send that data to the c++ server.
    Im able to do that.and unable to get the data from server.
    Didnt get any error.
    can u tell me how to make an application to act as both client and server.
    I think im wrong in that part.
    thanks a lot

  • Perimeter authentication with ISA server and AD

    Hi,
    We have a Microsoft ISA server that does all authentication at the perimeter. I'm trying to set up a WLS 10 that can inspect and pass on the authenticated Subject to the (SQLServer) database when performing searches.
    I have configured the environment according to the steps in [url  http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs100/secmanage/sso.html], and I have set up my security realm with an Active Directory Authentication provider and a Negotiate Identity Assertion provider. But soemthing is obviously not working, since I see no signs of the authenitcated subject in the server log, and Security.getCurrentSubject() returns an empty Subject. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks

  • Enqueue server and Message server in ABAP/Java dual stack

    Hi you guys,
    I have some questions when studying SAP, could you please explain for me:
    - In ABAP and Java system, do each stack have it own enqueue server and message server?
    - What is the difference between Enqueue server and enqueue work process in ABAP stack?
    - If there is one message server for each stack, which messager server (ABAP or Java) will the Web dispatcher connect directly to?
    - How do ABAP message server and Java message server communicate with each other?
    Thank you very much.

    1. in Dual Stack, normally you have ABAP Stack and SCS Central service Instance. ABAP Instance has Message server, SCS has it own Message server and enqueue server. ABAP instance doesn't have enqueue server, because the SCS already has enqueue service
    2. Communication between ABAP and J2EE Engine uses RFC (JCo) or HTTP Interface.
    Web Dispatcher will connect to the ICM of that instance, and the ICM is talking to Abap dispatcher and J2EE Dispatcher.
    3. The term: enqueue server and enqueue work process , already shows its different quite obviously.
    What so confuse about it ? do some search on SAP Online Documentation.

    Vincent

  • Where to increase Java Heap settings for Admin and Managed Server.

    Hello Experts
    I am having issue with increasing the JVM memory arguments for the Admin and Managed Servers. I have tried in a couple of places to increase the memory arguments (Xms and Xmx to 1024m)but its not taking effect. When I start the Admin Server and Managed server , I do not see the increased Heap settings. Here is what I see -
    "Starting WLS with line : /oracle/app/bi/Oracle_BI1/jdk/java -server - Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m"
    I have the following memory arguments in the setDomainEnv.sh located in <DOMAIN_HOME>/bin
    XMS_SUN_64BIT ="2048"
    export XMS_SUN_64BIT
    XMX_SUN_64BIT="2048"
    export XMX_SUN_64BIT
    Looks like this did not work , so I added an entry in the setOBIDomainEnv.sh file hoping to increase the Java memory , but that does not work either. Below is from setOBIDomainEnv.sh file -
    Really, trying to understand where/how the JVM settings are controlled from. Please guide me.
    Appreciate your time.
    Rakesh

    Under setobidomainenv.sh you will also find the admin server tag's so you need to increase the jvm parameters in there too. Depending upon your java vendor and bit version(Sun/Oracle/IBM/HP and 32-bit vs 64-bit ) So change accordingly
    eg:
    if server group is not obi then we can assume that it is Admin Server
      if [ "${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Sun" ] ; then
      # -UseSSE42Intrinsics required for server running EM
      if [ "${JAVA_USE_64BIT}" = "true" ] ; then
      # Admin Server memory args for 64-bit Sun JVM
      SERVER_MEM_ARGS="-Xms256m -Xmx1024m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -XX:-UseSSE42Intrinsics"
      export SERVER_MEM_ARGS
    similarly in setdomain.sh you will find the args as below:
    XMX_SUN_64BIT="512"
    export XMX_SUN_64BIT
    XMS_SUN_64BIT="256"
    export XMS_SUN_64BIT
    if [ "${JAVA_VENDOR}" = "Sun" ] ; then
      WLS_MEM_ARGS_64BIT="-Xms256m -Xmx512m"
      export WLS_MEM_ARGS_64BIT
      WLS_MEM_ARGS_32BIT="-Xms256m -Xmx512m"
      export WLS_MEM_ARGS_32BIT
    after setting them just execute them ./setdomain.sh and ./setobidomainenv.sh and then try to start the admin and managed servers and see the process running with the updated values.

  • M4E and MS ISA server 2006 works well

    Just to let you know, M4E and MS ISA server 2006 works well together. A new feature is that you can actually publish all Exchange services on only 1 IP address: OWA, OMA, Outlook everywhere (RPC over https) and active sync. There is a little glitch with the OMA that is unresolved. Look at this thread:

  • ISA Server Reverse Proxy and SSL

    We are running ISA 2000 and EP6SP2 and have successfully configured SSL between the internet and our ISA server which is located it our DMZ. Result when you access the portal URL you have the padlock in the browser, when you have logged onto the portal the padlock disappears. Does anyone have any advice / documents on how to configure the next step which I believe is SSL between ISA server and EP6SP2 ?
    Any advice would be apreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello Alex,
    Have you read the documentation "Configuring the IIS as the Intermediary Server" at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/07/914e4f02a69f448aeee7263b2a9dc6/frameset.htm

  • Elicensing and ISA proxy server

    Hello
    Our organization uses Micrsoft ISA server to secure port 80 traffic. If we choose to have Adobe host our licensing service will this work with ISA. Does it pick up the IE proxy settings or can you specify this somewhere in the client configuration file.
    thanks Daron

    The license manager component embedded into Acrobat 8 picks up the IE proxy settings, so it should work fine without any settings in the Client Setup file (also know as configuration file or just Adobeconfig.xml)
    Make sure to follow the instructions in the "Configuring Acrobat 8 with ALM" document to prepare your installation image. The document is available at: http://www.adobe.com/elicensing/licensemanagement/alm/pdfs/ConfiguringAdobeAcrobat8withAL M_EN.pdf

  • Download Manager with Microsoft ISA Server

    Hello forum, I need help with the connection of program SAP DOWNLOAD MANAGER with ISA Server 2004
    I've installed JAVA 1_4_2_13 and Download Manager, I configured the setting with the proxy connection (server ISA, user and pass)
    but an error appears:
    The basket content could not be read. The following exception occurred:
    Unable to read data from the Service Marketplace: Check your settings and try again
    In my ISA server I declared the form my IP to Internet permit all traffic out.
    Somebody help me ??? what do I have to configure in my ISA Server to permit the connection?
    Thanks.
    Costa Gustavo

    Hi Ram, I solved the problem with download manager.
    First my PC don't use as default gateway the ISA Server, I've another default gateway for my LAN.
    Is it the problem because my PC never contact directly to SAP, I could solved this problem if my PC can contact directly the IP of SAP.
    You will can set in your PC the gateway of ISA server and public DNS to contact SAP directly
    For example:
    I've default gateway 192.168.0.1 for my LAN
    My ISA server to internet is 192.168.0.9
    Public DNS : (My ISP) 200.0.1.1
    In your ISA server you can set a policy from your PC to External for all user with all traffic permit.
    You try set in your PC the following:
    Default gateway: 192.168.0.9
    DNS: 200.0.1.1
    I hope this can resolve your problem
