Java 7 not working with Power Teacher grade book

I have the same issue as Tweeks21 and don't have the luxury, I suppose, of a spare pc on hand.  I can do my attendance on Power Teacher but cannot get into my grade book.  At this point, I've resorted back to my paper grade book and wait to use the school's pc. I am a bit frustrated and annoyed at the prospects.  When will this be fixed.  How long will it take to be fixed. Wish Java, Mac, or Power School/Power Teacher had anticipated problem so it wouldn't be a challenge now.  I am a bit anxious for a now solution. help!!

Basic problem when jumping the shark and not retaining a bootable backup/clone of your previously good installation. Sorry, but don't have a solution for you. All I can suggest is to File a bug report with Apple. Complaining here is fruitless.

  • Upgraded to Firefox 4 and now the program I many alarm dealers use with Rapid Response Monitoring no longer works. RR Tech support said it had something to do with a change in Java not working with Firef 4

Rapid Response Monitoring Center developed a program for their dealers to log on to the main frame and look at customer info. The program now has a disclaimer on the log-on page Does not work with FireFox 4. RR tech support said it had to do with Java functions that were not continued in FF4. I can log on but the program will no longer display customer history or anything that seems to have a data base behind the function tab.
See www.rapidweb2000.com or call 1-800-932-3822 and ask for tech support for additional info about what they have found is the problem.

  • Java not working with 10.6.8 iMac

Java is no longer working on my intel iMac with Snow Leapord 10.6.8 with Firefox.  This issue has come up when trying to use two different programs that I previously was able to use; Java automatically ran.  I have tried to read previous discussions on this topic, but am not understanding the solutions or some aspects don't apply.  I did try to restore defaults in Java Preferences but nothing seems to happen when I do this.  Any advice? thank you in advance for any assistance with this issue.

Good news about the flashback trojan.
    I am running Firefox 14.01.
I also have a Java applet 13.8.0 (disabled) in the tools file.
You said earlier (post 12) that you don't have a Java applet listed in your list of Firefox plug-ins.
Which seems to suggest one of us is running a different version of Firefox.
Whether this is the problem, I can't work out.  But I'm trying.

  • HH3 Broadband blue light not working with Power Sa...

Had a BT engineer here today to do a line check and DLM reset when he noticed the blue lights were out, so I told him they were disabled in the powersave mode via the HH Manager at that time.It wasn't till he'd gone I realised he meant the Broadband light was out, which I simply hadn't noticed. This got me wondering if my fairly recent speed problems could be related with drop offs and such, but the engineer didn't persue the blue light issue earlier.
I rang BT to enquire about a replacement HH3, and was quoted £10 with £6 postage, because the warranty had run out on the hub, as well as me being out of contract.
It sounds about right but can anyone here confirm please?

Also - I need to add that the printer is sitting about an inch away from the Mac.

  • I book doesnt work with power cord only

Hello. I was just using my ibook g4 and shut it down. When i tried to turn it back on it worked for about 5 minutes then it shut off. I tried taking out the battery and holding down the power button for 5 seconds among other things. I gave up and borrowed a friends battery, he has the same model as me and that battery doesnt work either. I tried just using the power cord only and that doesnt work either. Do i need to take it in to a professional? I've tried just about everything.

Hey Caesar and Welcome to Apple Discussions,
    So your header reads:
"i book doesnt work with power cord only "
Is that right? Will it run only on the battery?
If so this is from the manual:
"The computer runs with battery, but not with the power adapter plugged into
    wall outlet
    1. Try known-good power outlet.
    2. Try known-good power adapter and power cord.
    Note:
Verify that power adapter connector glows amber or green. If the power
adapter light is green, turn over the computer and press the battery button. The
battery lights should glow green and stay on if the power adapter is operating
    correctly.
    3. Reset the power manager by pressing the key combination Control-Option-Shiftpower.
Warning: Make sure you do not hold down the "fn" key when resetting the
    power manager.
Warning: Resetting the power manager means you will also need to reset the
date and time (using the Date & Time control panel).
    4. Replace DC board.
    5. Replace logic board."
and it would help to know exactly which iBook you have but this is pretty generic.

  • Macbook Pro 2011 DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected

My Macbook Pro (Early 2011) DVI HDMI out does not work with TV when the power cable is connected. If get the blue screen and then can use the macbook but nothing is displayed on the TV. If i go into display I can see that there are two screens but nothing displayed on the TV. If i take the power cable out at this point the TV shows the second desktop as expected. If i then reconnect the cable, the screen flickers, as though it is being affected by the power cable, and the screen goes blank on the TV. Only if i remove the DVI cable do i get the blue screen again. If i remove the power cable and reconnect it will do it every single time, so i cannot see it being a TV issue or a minor glitch.
I have had this working previously but at the minute it seems to not be playing ball....any thoughts
    Thanks

  • Applets not working with Java 1.7.0_51 in MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5

    Hi,
I'm currently evaluating the migration of our MII 12.0 developments to MII 14.
But I'm running in several issues just trying to use simple things like a SQL query template with an iGrid Display template in test mode.
Used versions are: MII 14.0 SP4 Patch 5 and on client side the latest Mozilla Firefox with Java 1.7.0_51
At first I always get a java security warning when the applet is being loaded about unsigned applications.
At second the applet itself is not running. It always shows "No data available" and the java console shows the following errors (iResult is the id of the applet):
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set query template: No Query Defined
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
iResult [ERROR] - Couldn't set display template: null
Is this perhaps a general problem, that the MII applets are not working with Java 1.7.x versions?
If I call the same MII page from a client with Java 1.6.x it is working without errors.
Do you have some suggestions for me?
    Regards Timo

please clear your JAVA Cache. that should solve the JRE issue. thanks

  • Java 1.4.2_04-b05 not working with netscape 7.1

I am unable to get java to work with netscape 7.1 on Windows XP. I just get the puzzle icon when running the installation test.
    1. I have de-installed and reinstalled java 1.4.2_04-b05 multiple times
    2. Netscape/Plugins directory has npjpi142_04.dll, and npjava(11,12,13,14).dlls
    3. Netscape cache has been cleared. Enable Java is checked under Preferences/Advanced
    4. Java Plug-in Control Panel shows browser Netscape 6 or later checked, use browser settings for proxy
    5. Java does work with my IE 6.0 browser.

NPOJI610.dll is a very important file for Java Plugin to work with Netscape/Mozilla. So first check whether that file exisits in your system or not. If no, you probably need to reinstall JRE.
If yes, you can try the following.
    1. Would you be able to open "Java Console" from Netscape's Tools->Web Development?
    2. Also you can try to rename C:\Document And Settings\Username\Application Date\Mozilla directory and then re-launch the browser to see whether it works or not.

  • Java 7 Update 11 Not Working with Firefox

For me, the problems described in the thread "Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox? " Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox?
are continuing with Java 7 Update 11.
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Firefox 18
The problem is that "Java(TM) Platform" is missing from the plug-in list.
I've uninstalled Java 7 Update 11 and reinstalled Java Update 9 which correctly installs the plugin and restores Java functionality which was broken immediately upon installing both Java 10 & 11.

    981243 wrote:
So why not using Ju11 ? You can workaround the issue. It would sucks but still be safer than using Ju9.
Also ask Mozilla forums if Firefox has options where to search for plugins.
Or try 64-bit Firefox. As I explained in both threads ...
Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox?
Java 7 Update 11 Not Working with Firefox
... neither jre7u10 nor jre7u11 are working ... and they are BOTH broken with the same problem ... "Java(TM) Platform" pliugin is missing from the plug-in list. It cannot be enabled, because it simply is NOT there. A suggestion was made the jre7u12 will be the "fix" for this issue ... so I installed the Update 12 Preview and it sis ALSO broken, no "Java(TM) Platform" in the plug-in list.
The ONLY Java version that actually works for me is jre7u9.
As far as installing Firefox 64bit ... I see no future in installing a browser that has been discontinued.

Even though Mozilla relented due to backlash, I continued development will be a somewhat low priority.

  • Power button not working with 7.1 update

Power button not working with 7.1 update

I take it your phone was still under warranty then?!
Unfortunately I was not so lucky, and my experience was rather poor service-wise. They're called Apple Geniuses but I beg to differ...
I'm not sure where in the world you are located, but my "experience" involved visiting the Leeds store and confusing everyone with this issue. I can tell you, just by the looks on their faces, they had never been faced with this problem before!
I suggested my phone was rolled back to the version it was previously to establish whether this was the underlying issue. I was asked whether my phone had been backed up and as it had the "genius" proceeded to restore the phone "as it came out of the factory" to quote him.
When this was completed the phone was still doing the same thing and I was advised "the software update must have highlighted a hardware issue." I was told it would have to be physically repaired and was told to have this done by a third party as Apple would charge approximately £160. Incidentally, I work in IT and repair PC's, laptops and mobile devices for a living and made a point of raising that a sleep/wake button ribbon cable for an iPhone 4S can be bought on eBay for as little as £3.00...if indeed it does need replacing, which I suspect it does not.
Anyway, so now I was left with a phone for the rest of the day which was blank and still the problem remained. On the train, on the way home, you can then imagine my disbelief when I actually took the time to look at my phone's configuration and realised that iOS version 7.1 was still installed, so obviously the issue would still remain. So the visit to the "genius bar" was a complete waste of time as I'm still in the very same position, and I still blame the 7.1 update for this...let's home 7.2 is released very shortly and this solves the issue...
I have downloaded the package to roll the version back to 7.0 but I'm a little reluctant to carry this out yet as I would expect Apple to so the issue they have caused. This is NOT hardware related but software.
I seriously think Android is calling me...

I could not find a MF-4430 at the Canon site. Are you sure the model is correct? They have a MF4450. The Mac drivers are here:

If you are sure you have a MF4430, look around the canon site for the drivers.
