Java_app_platform_sdk-5_07-windows.exe does not install
Recently I updated jre to build 1.6.0_13-b03, and wanted to update platform sdk from 5.06 to 5.07. However, I can not continue on the installing progress page "Select Installation Directory". I pressed "next" but nothing happened. I tried uninstalled jre and cleaned up it, then installed jre, but I still get stucked at the "Select Installation Directory" page of platform sdk installing progress.
Anybody knows how to fix that problem? Thank you.
I have found this page (http://osdir.com/ml/java.netbeans.j2ee/2007/msg01651.html), where they are talking about
a possible solution to my problem, but I am not sure at all. I can change my Windows Vista administrator name,
Jos, by localhost. I guess GlassFish does not work with this tag
<jms-service addresslist-behavior="random" addresslist-iterations="3" default-jms-host="default_JMS_host" init-timeout-in-seconds="60"
reconnect-attempts="3" reconnect-enabled="true" reconnect-interval-in-seconds="5" type="EMBEDDED">
<jms-host admin-password="admin" admin-user-name="admin" host="*Jos1*" name="default_JMS_host" port="7676"/>
</jms-service>I have tried to put localhost as the conversation recommend but GlashFish does not work as well. I think I am getting closer to the solution.
Any idea?
Thx

My iTunes installation via Windows 7 does not install the Apple Mobile Device Support file
I have followed several suggestions to resolve the problem caused because of my update of iTunes does not install the Apple Mobile Device Support folder, thus making it impossible for me to sync my iPhone 4S to my desktop version of iTunes. I have tried to install the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi file and it almost completes the installation before "rolling back" the entire process and giving me a message that there was a problem with the installation. Has anyone been able to solve this problem. I use Windows 7. I have seem some :"solutions" that seem to work for some people, but not for me, and evidently not for many others? Finally, would it matter if I installed Safari on my desktop and tried to install iTunes using Safari?
Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?
If instead you get an error message during the install (or uninstall), let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.) -
on installation process, the install popbox says checking existing programs after which another popbox says close all firefox programs before installation....
I have closed all applications and programs prior to installation of the downloaded ver 5.0.1.exe but only this took up my time and nothing happened
mary elizabethWell, the behavior I described is now intermittent. Sometimes I can open a new window and sometimes I can't. If I can't, command-Tab does nothing. So far I've found no consistent circumstances under which I can or can't open a new window.
Originally I was running computationally intensive program that required 3.35 days to complete its run. When the run was over the Firefox problem disappeared - for awhile. Then the problem recurred in the intermittent fashion I've described. -

My Windows 7 Ultimate {32bit} does not install driver for my LG HDD HXD5 320GB
My windows 7 does not install driver for my LG EXTERNAL HDD HXD5 320GB & its attached using a USB.
It works perfectly on Other computers having Windows 7 & Windows XP & Windows Vista, just doesn't work on mines.
I have had internet connected when it was installing hence it got the opportunity to search Windows Update for it but it fails :(
It works even on my computer ( I have DUAL OS) on windows XP SP3 but i need it to work in Windows 7.
Please help Thanks :)
& i have already tried tried the solution which was proposed for another topic in this forum on which it was to Uninstall the driver using Device Manager and unplug the HDD and attach again and let the computer detect and install it again, my computer
does detect it but fails to install the drivers.
My Computer has a 2GB of RAM & 2.40GHZ (32bit) with an Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and had come with Windows Vista Home Premium 32bit installed, & i upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit which is completely updated to all the Updates that Microsoft
had offered (using the built in Windows Update in Control Panel)
I have got screen shots of it too.
http://shumayal.fileave.com/HDD.zip
PS: Same is the case with some of my USB Flash drives, but in their case they don't get detected at all but get in Windows XP SP3 (which is another OS on my pc) as well as on windows 7 and other OS on OTHER COMPUTERS but not mines in Windows 7.
Thanks :)Hi,
I recommend you try to update the BIOS and the motherboard chipset drivers for Windows 7 firstly.
After that, please refresh the USB Stack:
Control Panel – Device Manager – USB Serial Controllers – Right Click on EVERYTHING and UNINSTALL all except the category itself – Reboot
. This refreshes the drive and the USB stack
Then, right click on the LG EXTERNAL HDD HXD 5 320GB in Device Manager and select Update Driver Software.
You may also try the Windows 7 built-in
Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.
Hope it can help you!

Hi,
I'm developed a blog reader for windows 8 store app. It was perfectly worked before. But suddenly it started to miss behave and I got an
error. No other errors were there other than that.
Error
Program c:\Users\.........\Desktop\Blog_Reader\Blog_Reader\obj\Release\intermediatexaml\Blog_Reader.exe' does not contain a static 'Main'
method suitable for an entry point.
C:\Users\..........\Desktop\Blog_Reader\Blog_Reader\CSC Blog_Reader
But I found the solution while I fixing it.
Solution for that is like below.
Go to your App.Xaml and Right-Click thenGo to Properties
Check whether the Build Action is
ApplicationDefinition
If not change it to ApplicationDefinition.
Clean the code (solution) and Deploy
Now the error is fiexed.Hi Robana,
Good sharing on the Technet.

Just got iPhone 5, get home and find iCloud Outlook Add-in does not install under Windows XP. I am loathe to upgrade to Windows Vista/7/8 just yet. Can I obtain and use an earlier version of iCloud Outlook Add-in? My iPad II synchronizes!
There is no 'earlier' version that supports XP. iCloud launched with Vista/7 support only.

The current iTunes 10.5 upgrade does not install on Windows 7 and indicates a faulty install package (error 2324). Advice or details on the release date for a proper fix? I'm not able to roll back to the prior version, so I'm stuck in limbo.
There have been a number of problems with installing the latest iTunes on Windows 7 64-bit machines during the last couple of weeks. You might want to do a search on that topic and see if anyone has a solution. There have been various versions of the problem but a lot related to errors in the download package or failure to download.

Acrobat Pro 7.0 does not install on Windows 7, how can I get a version that does?
I recently downloaded and tried installing the non-activation version of Adobe Acrobat Pro 7.0 on my Windows 7 PC. After researching the installation error I read some posts that Acrobat 7.0 does not install on Windows 7. What are my options?
AA 7 will install, but it will not run very cleanly. A lot of things require workarounds. However, it is strongly recommended that you upgrade to AA XI for use on Win7 or Win8. AA 7 is not fully compatible and playing with workarounds is not a great use model. Looks like the price just came down also. You will have to purchase the full version. The upgrade version requires at least AA 9.

When my downloading until 80%, appear Installation error, "Window installer does not permit updatating of managed advertised product. At least one feature of the product must be installed before applying the update."
What product and version number are you talking about. Is it a trial version, or is it the full or subscription version. If the latter, activate the product with your S/N or Adobe ID and then do the updates.

Tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit
tasklist.exe does not list all Modules in Windows 7 64-bit.
If I want to look at the DLLs loaded by Excel, I would type:
tasklist /M /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
When I run this in XP or 32-bit Win7, it works fine, showing all the dlls loaded by excel. However, in 64-bit windows, it does NOT show all dlls - only a limited subset. If I use Process Explorer, I can still see all the DLLs loaded by excel,
but that is useless for writing automated scripts.
To check this out, try looking for kernel32.dll - it is always loaded by Excel, but tasklist does not display it in 64-bit Win7:
tasklist /M kernel32.dll /fi "imagename eq excel.exe"
So, since tasklist is broken, is there a good (command-line) way of looking at what dlls are loaded by a process?

I installed windows 7 successfull, but when I start the mac in windows I does not see the wifi, and others things. How do I get the drivers?
I remember that with Snow Leopard you could download them from the Apple website.
Cheers!Read the Boot Camp Documentation while you run Boot Camp Assistant to download the Windows Support Software which was the first step in the Boot Camp Setup procedure.

Windows 10 downloads but does not install...
windows 10 downloads but does not install on my Stream 13-c010nr (OS 8.1). Says I need 5 GB more before it can install. Should I factory reset? Any suggestions?
If you can run the recovery, it should free up enough space although in this thread, it did not. It might also help to download the Windows 10 ISO file and run it from a USB. You do not have to run any updates to Windows 8.1 if you do that, you can upgrade right after restoring to the factory configuration.

Bootcamp startup disk selection in Windows 7 does not reboot in Mac OS X
Hi!
The bootcamp control panel lets me select which operating system too boot into but it doesn't seem to write the actual instruction to do so to the EFI, because everytime it boots me right back into Windows even when I choose to restart in Mac OS X. The PRAM has been reset.
Within Snow leopard I can choose between Mac OS X and Windows 7, and equally the ALT key works to select it manually. I have tried reinstalling bootcamp in Windows 7, but I will try it again if needs be. I just need your ideas please.
I have Mac OSX in one drive and Windows 7 on a separate Drive within a MACPRO. I have Winclone'd the Windows 7 partition, so I don't mind repartition/restoring etc. I should mention this setup used to work before I manually erased the MAC OS X partition and reinstalled everything. I wonder if the windows bootcamp has the old EFI configuration and does not know where is what anymore. How do you get it to refresh? I have also tried removing bootcamp from windows 7, and then reinstalling it and then updating it to 3.2.I should also mention, I have a 3rd hard disk with Windows XP installed (all of these are internal in the MACPRO). The same thing is now happening there as I have just checked. The Bootcamp control panel does not instigate to boot into Mac OS X either. So how can I get this control panel to write to the EFI (if this is what it is called?) to boot into the correct selected partitions? I should also mention I can see the Windows 7 and the The Windows XP respectively displayed in there. But I cannot get to boot into either of those either by selecting them from this control panel. It is stuck booting into it's own OS disregarding my selection. I don't think it is 'talking' to the EFI anymore and writing what it should to it (or to bootmgr or something)? What can I do in this case?
What does bootcamp.exe actually do? If I could delete the current list it has stored and get it to rescan even though everything is exactly the same, just reinstalled Mac OS X by erasing the partition on the main drive, which I'm guessing this is why Bootcamp.exe does not write the appropriate command to boot into my OSes?
