Java card virtual machine

java card virtual machine
Is java card virtual machine support java code written in a java standard edition....
and what are the features and specification of java card virtual machine
how to get the java card virtual machine sdk and work with that in netbeans

1.Whether JCVM is Portable to different platform? Are you a java card user or a java card manufacturer?
As user this is not your concern. the JCVM is an inseparable part of your java card.
3.What is the use of Cref in JCVM.Whether that helps in portability?CREF is the "Java Card Reference Implementation". It allows you to run java card applets by simulating a java card environment on a common PC. It's intention is to be executed in an environment with an 32bit processor and lots of ram (compared to current smart cards). IMHO cref can not be ported to any current smart card platform.

  • SAP BW JAVA MCOD vs Standalone BW JAVA on Virtual Machine

    Hello,
We are implementing fresh BW system on HANA and we are trying to decide whether to go with MCOD approach for BW JAVA or build the BW JAVA (portal) on a standalone virtual machine, please provide some best practices in this area if anybody has seen any performance issues when BW reports are accessed through portal when JAVA is built on standalone virtual machine with SQL database. please provide some pro's and cons based on your experiences.
Thank you and appreciate your feedback.
    Regards
    Vijay

    Hi Florian,
as already proposed by your consultant, we performed the upgrade of BI JAVA with SUM followed by the migration to HANA as MCOD with SWPM (as new installation of BI Java by choosing the system copy path) as follows:
Simply upgrade your BI JAVA on Oracle as usual with SUM.
Perform a JAVA Schema Export with SWPM (SAP NetWeaver 7.4. SR2 - Oracle - System Copy - Source System - Based on AS JAVA - Database Instance Export)
Before you uninstall/delete your J2EE Instance, however it's a good idea to back up the J2EE environment - you never know:)
The uninstall option in SWPM of BI JAVA doesn't work, since it does not recognize any instance numbers, so I have deleted SCS/J environment based on file system. Don't forget to delete also J2ee's profiles in home directory.
Perform a New-Installation of SCS/J with SWPM (SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SR2 - SAP HANA Database - System Copy - Target System - Distributed System - Based on AS Java -
         - SYS Instance
         - Database instance (Attention MCOD: be ensured that you do NOT perform an "Initial Database or Database Tenant"). Migration Export (JMIG): <your export directory>
         - Primary Application Server Instance (also be ensured here: do not choose "initial database")
    - Postprocessing (hdbuserstore, setenv, rsecssfx, etc.)
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!
    good luck!

  • Java Card OS operating system

    Hi all.
I'm researching "How to build an Java Card OS". Any one can suggest me how to do it, which document i should read and follow. I read 3 specifications of JavaCard JCRE, JCVM and JCAPI but i still in fog.
    Thanks all

    hoaibaotre wrote:
Hi all, i have a BIG question. How can i implement JCVM by C with only JCVM Specification from SUN. I think that's not enough information to do. I read it but i didn't imagine the whole picture to do a JCVM.The JVM is just an interpreter that is able to execute byte code. It does not contain any libraries or other functionality. This is where the RE and API come in. These provide additional functionality so you do not need to implement it all in your applet.
One thing more, when we build a JCVM, that will go along with JCRE because it is really difficult to separate two issues. The JCRE contains the Java Card VM. From the introduction of the JCRE spec:
The Java Card™ platform, version 2.2.1 Runtime Environment contains the Java Card virtual machine (VM), the Java Card Application Programming Interface (API) classes (and industry-specific extensions), and support services. To have a complete JCRE, you need a JCVM and JC API. You can also add additional extensions to you JC RE/API by providing additional Java Card packages, which may use native code (similar to JNI) for interfacing with the card hardware directly.

  • Testing java card applet

    Hi all,
Am new to java card applet development. I have developed a sample applet. But i don't know how to test it. So can anyone help me understand this.
    please help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
To test your application you need to install it on a Java Card virtual machine. This can either be on a real smartcard or in an emulator (such as the ones in the JCDK). When you have it installed you can then send APDU commands to exercise the applet. From memory, there is an example of how to use the CREF simulator in the JCDK Developer Guide that is a part of the package.
If you have a real card, you can use something like GPShell to load and install your applet and to send commands to it. I have also found it is useful to have a host application written in Java (using jUnit) to test specific commands.

  • Virtual Machine has aborted error during Java EE SDK install

    Hi all,
I'm trying to install java_ee_sdk-6u3-jdk7-windows-x64.exe on our new Windows Server 2012 machine but the installer starts and I then get a Setup box appear that says Error: The Java(TM) Virtual Machine has aborted.  I've looked in the Event Viewer and there are no messages and I've tried to get the installer to create a log file (by passing the parameter -l <loglocation>) but it doesn't seem to get that far as no log is created.
The very first time I tried to run the JavaEE install on this machine, it installed everything ok but didn't create the windows service as .NET Framework 3.5 was missing.  So I uninstalled JavaEE and added in the .NET Framework 3.5 and then my problems began.  I have already installed these versions of Java and JavaEE successfully on a previous Windows Server 2012 machine which had the .NET Framework 3.5 on it.
The JRE installed already on the computer is jre-6u45-windows-x64.exe and I am logged in as an administrator.  I've tried uninstalling the JRE and reinstalling and also doing a registry clean using CCleaner incase there are any old references to the JRE/JavaEE but it didn't help.
If anyone can give me any clues as to why this error is appearing I'd be most grateful!
    Thanks,
    Caroline

Have finally got this to work after a lot more headscratching.  Turned out just passing the path to the JRE to the install wasn't good enough, I had to include the drive letter too even though it was on the same drive!

  • Java card with javacardx.framework.math.BigNumber

Could somebody point me to a vendor for java cards that support javacardx.framework.math.BigNumber?
I searched this forum for 2.2.2 vendors, but could only find Athena IDProtect (http://www.athena-scs.com/product.asp?pid=32). The friendly support at Athena told me that this card does support the above package.
Are there any other vendors of 2.2.2 cards that I could contact?

  • I have updated my iTunes to the newest version, 10-25 on a windows XP system. Now my java virtual machine is not working and I need it to run applet window. My Java is also newest version. What can I do to fix/repair my issue?

I need help with java on windowsXP after updating iTunes to the latest version. My java will not work and I get error message need java virtual machine to run applet window. Did not have this problem prior to the iTunes update.
    Please help, Thanks

If your library was working on your computer and then popped up empty all of a sudden then this might be what you need...
    Empty/corrupt library after upgrade/crash
Hopefully it's not been too long since you last upgraded iTunes, in fact if you get an empty/incomplete library immediately after upgrading then with the following steps you shouldn't lose a thing or need to do any further housekeeping. In the Previous iTunes Libraries folder should be a number of dated iTunes Library files. Take the most recent of these and copy it into the iTunes folder. Rename iTunes Library.itl as iTunes Library (Corrupt).itl and then rename the restored file as iTunes Library.itl. Start iTunes. Should all be good, bar any recent additions to or deletions from your library.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to catch up with any changes since the backup file was created.
When you get it all working make a backup!

  • Having trouble with creation of a cloud service with multiple virtual machines using java sdk.

I am creating a cloud service on azure with 2 virtual machines using java sdk API. Service created successfully.
My input endpoint details are as follows.
    INPUT ENDPOINTS
    Head : 191.238.144.47:2400
    Head : 191.238.144.47:22
    Node0 : 191.238.144.47:43211
For Head instance port 2400 is for HTTPS and port 22 is for SSH and for Node0 instance port 43211 is for SSH.
But I am having problem with doing a ssh on Head instance. Sometimes it works sometimes doesn't. Same problem with HTTPS also.
I have some application running over there but when i try to access it thru browser sometimes it works but most of the time doesn't. When I restart the instances from azure portal, its works after
that(not always but most of the time).
Now I am confused what is going on there. I am creating cloud service and virtual machines using java sdk and setting input endpoints also. After creation of all instances i restart every instance programmatically .
I am not sure whether restart is required or not. It must be something to do with input endpoints only but not able to get the right thing i guess. When i do the same thing thru azure portal(creation of cloud service with virtual machines and setting up input
end points) everything works fine but not achieving the result when implementing it by java sdk API. Please help me.

    HI Nithin,
Thanks for your reply. I am setting the endpoints after creating my instances using update call. Here's the code snippet.

  • The crash happened outside the java virtual machine in native code

    Hi,
I have a biometric device with which I am given some C++ dlls. I am trying to call methods inside these using java (jna). I am loading the dll "zkemsdk.dll+" as follows:
zkemkeeper INSTANCE1 = (zkemkeeper)Native.loadLibrary("zkemsdk", zkemkeeper.class);//zkemsdk is the dll, I am loading the dll here.
Then, I am calling the function:
    zkemkeeper.INSTANCE1.Z_Connect_NETEX("ip address",4370);//Z_Connect_NETEX is a function inside zkemsdk.dll
This returns me true or false based on whether am connected to the biometric device or not. Thus I am able to invoke this method without issues. But for other methods inside the dll, run time exception is thrown in console:
Can someone help me resolve this issue. ??? Following is the content of the log file generated.

It is impossible to say how, where and why. Go back to your code and start debugging I'd say, see where invalid data can be passed to the native code.

  • Could not initialize the Java Virtual Machine

While trying to configure the turnkey product I encounter an error in starting the JBoss for Adobe LiveCycle ES v8.0 service. The JBossService.exe ends up showing in the task list - but the service shows its status as "starting" and an enty stating: "Could not initialize the Java Virtual Machine" is placed in the event log. I've seen a posting on this form that traced at least some of these symptoms to the account under which the service is configured to run - but I don't believe that solution applies in this case - I'm starting the service under the System Account which has all the permissions it needs to start the service.

Thanks very much for the suggestion. Indeed, the problem turned out to be memory related - I was able to correct the issue by updating the registry keys "JVM Option Number 4" and "JVM Option Number 5" so specify lower values. For some reason the system didn't like the 1024 meg size that was set by default (our server has 2 gig of memory).

  • JAVA Importer: ORA-105100 can't start the java virtual machine

    Hi,
i am having trouble to make a work interaction between forms and java.
My PL/SQL code is calling a java code situated in an imported class.
the error i get says : can't start the java virtual machine
I modified the CLASSPATH to add some jar files.
What else should i do ?
    should i modify LIBPATH ?
    any idea ?
    Thanks
    Dan

i just found this documentation Oracle Forms Developer and Forms Server 6i (Patch 4) at this adress
    http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/forms/forms/p4_relnotef.pdf
which says that i need jdk 1.2.2 to make it work but the documentation was published in 2001...
Is there an earlier doc ? or an earlier doc of the java importer ?
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/javaimporter.pdf
    any help would be appreciated

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? I have java ee 5 sdk installed on my machine.

    Hello Guys!
I have a problem here and i cant find the solution!
    somebody can help me?
In the installation, after run the runInstaller show

So I went to MetaLink and did a search on the "libXp.so.6: cannot open shared object" found in your error message. The very first hit returned was note 308755.1, titled "OUI Reports The Error: Exception java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /tmp/OraInstall*/jre/1.4.2/lib/i386/libawt.so: libXp.So.6: Cannot Open Shared Object File"
The terms of MetaLink usage prevent me from quoting from the note, but you would be advised to go read it for yourself. Suffice it to say you are missing some rpms. The specific ones missing are not listed in the above referenced not, but it will point you in the right direction.
