Java Concurrent Program - Output of BI publisher report

Hi,
I have a requirement of a Java Concurrent Program in Oracle apps to print the output of a BI Publisher Report. I need help in the following aspects
1. Setting up my Jdeveloper for writing the Java code
- I have downloaded xdo*,cabo*,jbo*,framework*,util* from $JAVA_TOP to my_classes (C:\JDeveloper\jdevhome\jdev\myclasses)
- However my import statements are not working yet.
2. I had a reference of similar program where I used it for generating PDF file (output of a XML publisher report) from OA Framework page
This is a controller class which was generating the PDF output. Link is given below
https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0BxunA4-pnNcqNGY5NDNjNDItYjhlMi00ZDNlLTk1ZTctMWY4MjhjNTYwZDdh&hl=en_US
Any help !!!!!!!!!!

Hi Hussein,

    I am not getting report output for java Concurrent Program(Concurrent Program Executable Method), for the reports which are of type PL/SQL Stored Procedure getting the output. for some of the reports the executable method is 'java Concurrent Program', so is there any thing i need to modify in my code.
    Thanks

  • BI Publisher Charts not getting displayed in concurrent program output

    Hi,
    I am using BI Publisher version 11.1.1.3.0 on Windows 7 with word 2007. After creating the Bar chart in RTF template of BI publisher when I load sample XML data and check it in "Preview" is displays the output correctly.
    My requirement is to print the charts in concurrent program's output on EBS version 12.1.1. (preferably HTML but PDF will also do) However when I run the concurrent program which processes the data definition and the RTF template registered for this report, the output is just an image of the chart. The XML output generated by the program is not reflected in the chart display at all. (I have verified that XML is generated properly)
    Can someone please let me know if there is some setup required to make the charts display properly in concurrent program output?
    I have also tried BI publisher version 10.1.3.2.1 for this. With this the concurrent program output is just blank. Not even an image is displayed.
    p.s. The program uses standard executable XDODTEXE (which is normally used to run BI publisher reports)
    Thanks,
    Archana

    Hi,
    I have finally found solution to this issue....
    Two setups are required to display the charts in the concurrent program's PDF output:
    1. We need to edit the variables CLASSPATH and AF_CLASSPATH. These variables should have the complete path added for the xdoparser.zip file on the server.
    2. The DISPLAY variable should be correctly setup to direct the server output.
    Also as per my findings so far, the BI (XML) publisher version 11.1.1.3.0 (or any 11g) does not work with EBS (at least for charts). We need to use BI publisher version which is XML 5.6.3 compatible for EBS. This version is 10.1.3.2.1. (patch 12395372) Now this 10g version does not work on Windows 7 so you need to use Windows XP!
    With this... finally... your charts should be getting displayed in EBS output...
    Cheers!! :-)

  • How to customize the Java Concurrent Program(PO Output for Communication)

    Hi,
    How to customize the Java Concurrent Program(PO Output for Communication)
    I need to add the Line level Ship To Address ,Line Notes and Extended Price fields on Java Concurrent Program.
    Please any body help/guide me in this regard.

    Hi,
    Changing Java Conc. program for "PO Output for Communication" is difficult.
    Actually, if you observe closely, "PO Output for Communication" program uses PO<HEADER/LINES..>_XML views.
    So if you could change these views and add your requireed columns to it, you can automatically see your changes in XML data file.
    See if the following link will you to get there.. http://chandramatta.blogspot.com/

  • Java concurrent program doesn't use template

    Hi all,
    I have a report which executable is of type: Java Concurrent Program. I copied the original one and i created the same data definition and template with different names, set the Onsite Settings to my template but when submitting the report it gives me as output only XML. When i submit the request the template layout is not in "Upon Completion" option.
    Version:
    Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
    PL/SQL Release 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
    "CORE     11.1.0.7.0     Production"
    TNS for Linux: Version 11.1.0.7.0 - Production
    NLSRTL Version 11.1.0.7.0 - ProductionWhat kind of option do i have to solve the issue? Please kindly help.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alexander.

    Solved, JCP not allowed(i think so) to have in your data definition - data template and preview data(both). You have to upload only Data template.

  • Customising/Personalising the XDODTEXE Java Concurrent Program

    Hi,
    Does Oracle provide any API/Personalisation for the generic XDODTEXE Java Concurrent Program. I am not talking about customising any particular report by modifying the Data Template XML in the Data Definition of that report. Rather my requirement is something like the following...
    I want all reports using XDODTEXE Java Concurrent Program as the executable to insert the XML data generated by the report to a generic custom Table. Something like an extra Generic After Report Trigger/program which XDODTEXE will execute apart from the codes in the Data template XML. I dont want to modify the individual XML Data Template.. but the XDODTEXE runs it for every report run.
    Does Oracle provide an API or Hook to accomplish the same?
    Thanks
    Biju Radhakrishnan

    Pl post details of OS, database and EBS versions, along with what business/technical problem you are trying to solve. AFAIK, I am not aware of anything that will let you write the output from XDODTEXE to a custom table.

  • Can't access parameter of java concurrent program

    I'm trying to access a parameter value in my rtf template from the PO Output for Communication program, which is a java concurrent program. In my template I put a field with:
    <?param@begin:P_report_type?>
    but when I reference the parameter using $P_report_type it is not populated with the value passed to the program. Does param@begin work with a java concurrent program, or only with an RDF?

  • Possible to extend java Concurrent Program and replace standard??

    Hi All!
    i have following developing need. There is a java concurrent program POXPOPDF (PO Output for Communication). The customer needs this program to do actually something complete different than printing the PO in PDF. The executable for this CP is java class PoGenerateDocumentCP in oracle.apps.po.communicate package.
    We thought that we may be able to extend that class and then in some way made OA to use the extended java class instead of the standard. This is possbile and simple for OA Framework pages unsing classes as controllers, but I don't know how it could be done for CP (if there's a way to do it without violent intervention in standard system).. Is it possbile, can anyone help me with this.
    The thing is that instead of reformatting the XML returned from PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT.POXMLGEN (function POXMLGEN in database package PO_COMMUNICATION_PVT) into PDF we want to reformat into another XML and then send it in other way to a webservice. Once I have the XML from POXMLGEN I have no problem to reformat it into another XML (I think, I have done it iwith other issues/processes). The webservice and the call to it is no problem and is already use with other purposes in other processes, but here (replaceing this stadard java class for an extension/new one) I am a little lost.
    Appreciate very much your help.
    Regards,
    Patricia

    Never mind, I see now that FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST() really does work, I tried with a different standard java concurrent program and it worked fine, and then I figured out that my parameters into fnd_request.submit_request for concurrent program APXVVCF4 were not correct (application short name was invalid for concurrent program).
    Thanks for the Info!

  • Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when running java concurrent program

    Hi,
    i had written a java concurrent program to create the content items into Oracle Content Manager (OCM). Process the records from interface table and create the content items into OCM by calling the API IBC_CITEM_ADMIN_GRP.upsert_item().
    I run the concurrent program with 2000 records in interface table, it's an one to one process, 563 records are processed and 563 content items are created successfully in OCM. After 563 records continuously throws the Exception
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line('EX - bundle validation others--');
    x_return_status := FND_API.G_RET_STS_ERROR;
    FND_MESSAGE.Set_Name('IBC', 'A_BUNDLE_ERROR');
    FND_MESSAGE.set_token('SITUATION', 'VALIDATION');

    'x_return_status', '*** EXCEPTION *** [' || SQLERRM || ']'
    END IF;
    in IBC_CITEM_ADMIN_GRP.validate_attribute_bundle() API.
    Again running the concurrent program it process another 563 records. Can any one help me to fix this issue?
    i figured out the exception. When debug the error, i got the actual error message like this

    ORA-29532: Java call terminated by uncaught Java exception: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: -2048 < 0
    for this issue i increased the heap memory size up to 1024MB. Still i have the same issue. Can any one help to fix the issue?
