Java download error

I get this problem when opening a secure sit
it starts to download but never installs it or finish the download only stops and hangs.

I'm all of a sudden getting a ( Java Script Application "download error" message) when trying to use Ant Video Downloader. What could cause this?

When an FLV is playing and I want to download it. I click on the Ant download button. A little window appears reading ( Java Script Application "download error" message)

This works for me on YouTube.
Cancel the download and then immediately right click and choose retry.

Bad MIME type returned from server..A server should return a content type of..
application/x-java-jnlp-file for JNLP
files.
Tomcat probably does that by default, but
other servers might need to be told about it.
See your server help, for how to set a
content-type.

Java Script Error in downloading CS3 Master Collection

I just bought a new MacBook Pro and I went to download my CS3 Master Collection. In the middle of downloading Disc 1 I got a kernel telling my to push the power button until the computer shuts off and turn it on again. Then when I tried to redownload Disc 1 it gives me an error message. "Java Script Error and says to download using the original media, but I AM using the ORIGINAL MEDIA. Anyone ever have this problem? I already tried pulling out the partial download from applications but it did not help. I cannot use my CS3 Master Collection now unless I figure out how to fix this problem.

Getting tha java script error while calling OAF forms in ADF

I am trying to get/access the Oracle forms in ADF page.
I am following http://static.commit-consulting.com/oraformsfaces developers guide for guidlines.
while runnign my page getting the error in popup look like java script error.

Crystal XI R2, Salesforce 3.0 downloaded from the Crystal page. Using Windows 7 64-bit. Have applied SP 5 per another thread.
Continue to get JAVA error. Java being used is 1.4 as installed by Crystal in the Crystal program directory.

Still no go. I get the same error.
I uninstalled SP6, SP5, Salesforce Connector, and Crystal XI R2 SP2 and then re-installed everything.
1) Crystal XI R2 SP2
2) Salesforce connector 3.0
3) SP5
4) SP6
Still get the same Java Connection error. I've also disabled Windows Firewall. I'm not behind a proxy. I've tried with and without the security token.

Download Error Exception in 1.6. Works in all older versions.

I have cleared the Java cache, but the Java client still sends a " If-Modified-Since" so the server responds with a 304 Not Modified.

BTW, it would be great if SUN could make things backward compatible. This JNLP file is integrated inside a product and requires that all customers upgrade the product.

Java Install error 1603 on Java 8u45

I am having issues getting Java to Install on a Windows 7 Pro PC in a stand alone environment.
Error Code 1603. Java is needed on this PC to be able to print shipping labels from FEDEX.com. I am trying to install using the administrator account. I have removed previous versions of Java. I have removed the MS updated KB2918614.
The java uninstall tool doesn't run because Java is required to run the java uninstall tool. I have run multiple Microsoft Fixit Tools. This is the second PC I have had this error with in this office. Does anyone have any thing more to offer that
might assist me. I have "Google'd" this error for 2 weeks now. Help would be greatly appreciated, Thank You!

According to official site of Oracle, This is a known issue with Microsoft KB2918614The root causes of these errors are under investigation. If this error still persists after uninstalled this update.
You could try following zooeyhall’s suggestion to download and install a previous version of Java or try creating a new administrative user account and install Java with the new account.

Java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients.

We have some web services that run under OC4J 10.1.3.4. We have various JEE 'client' apps (JSF, servlets etc.) that use these web services. These JEE apps also run under OC4J.
We started a migration project from oc4j to weblogic 10.3.2. In phase 1 we want to move these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic. In phase 2 we want to move the web services themselves to weblogic with adjustments to the JEE 'client' apps as needed.
However we ran into an issue during this phase 1. Deploying these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic results in an error like this:
java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients. If you are attempting to run an OC4J 10.1.3 JAX-RPC client in WLS, please see the Web Service Migration Guide for instructions.
We are including Oracle web services client libraries (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/wsclient_extended.zip) in these JEE 'client' apps's war files because weblogic does not have them.
What part of Web Service Migration Guide is the above error message talking about? Do we have to re-generate the client side proxies for all these web services using weblogic's clientgen task in 'JAXRPC' mode? Many of these web services are doc/literal jax-rpc web services. Or does the migration guide recommend we migrate the web services first to weblogic? Any other specific information on working around this error message would be greatly appreciated.

I had the same issue but I just managed to fix it. You must upgrade and/or regenerate you proxy. This creates new classes (possibily in a new package) that you must use in your code. I had this error because the classes directory was not clean after the rebuild and the old classes (in the old package) were still present, so the compilation was successful with the old classes. So clean your classes directories, regenerate your proxy and use the new classes in your code.

Keep getting java script errors in DW CS3

I have been using Dreamweaver CS3 and had not had problems up to last month or so. Now I keep getting Java errors and java script errors whenever i try to put a file to my site or even on some task boxes that have undefined in the command box instead of the normal command. I am wondering if downloading product again could help but i worry about licensing problem. It seems like there is no support for CS3 Dreamweaver.
I resent the fact i may have to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5. IF I do can I just upgrade Dreamweaver and not the other programs as part of the web design suite? My last upgrade was the CS3 web design suite.

Thanks for the suggestion, I followed the links and instructions and still have same problem. Very frustrating as I cannot get any phone support, actually i was told Dreamweaver CS3 is not being supported anymore, and I was directed to this forum.
Kind of makes me not like Adobe and I am going to search for another web building program. Once I calm down I may consider just upgrading to CS 5 Dreamweaver. Do I have to upgrade the entire Web Design suite or can I just upgrade Dreamweaver?
Another option is to try and reinstall but I worry I can run into licensing problems (I think I ran into this before as destop and laptop crashed and had to reinstall).

Dialup jar download error

Hi,
We are seeing an odd occurence. Our dialup users using Java Web Start are unable to download certain jar files if they are a certain size. For example when we deploy our code we need to verify that it will work over a dialup connection. If it does not work we add an additional file to the jar until we get to a size that works???? We can consistently recreate this. We have expirienced it at two different jar sizes so far (255-265 Kb + 320-330 Kb). We have a work around by adding files until it works but this is a hit or miss type of fix. We use signed jar files. The error is a download error. Any help would be appreciated.

The ISP that we recreated the error on was ATT World Net. The error message that we are seeing is:
Category Download Error: Corrupted JAR fiel at <our URL>
ZipException: Error in opening zip file.
We are using version 1.4.2_03 of the JRE. We download 4 separate jar files during the launch of the jnlp. If any of these jars are at the odd sizes previously mentioned it will appear to hang, then after a while we will see the error messages above.

I'm using Weblogic 6.0 sp3 to deploy a test application on my system with JavaWebStart 1.0.1(JWS1.0.1).
After I have clicked the link pointing to the jnlp file the JWS1.0.1 is getting started but its showing the following error

Download error in windows 95

Hi,
We are using windows 2000, and NT. WebStart works well under these OS. We do have a machine running windows 95 and webstart is giving the following error:

Any Suggestions...
We have tried making it work by manually changing the proxy settings for the Application Manager, but we still get the same error.

There is an issue with some older versions of winsock on Windows 95. I am not sure of the version number, but try updating winsock.

The technique to solving Uncaught exception: java.lang.Error (and probably many like it too)

It was a blessing in disguise that the above error came about or else I wouldn't have taken the effort to find a solution. At first, I tried to delete several apps, do a hard reboot several variations but it still wouldn't go. Then I thought of downgrading the OS back to the default version so that made me give the Blackberry Desktop Manager a try. Linking handphone to notebook, it was only then I found out an updated version was available so immediately I decided to update since the jump from version 5 to 6 was worth it. After the corrupted version was wiped out being replaced by a newer one, my problem was solved!

1. Try to remove the batteries first reboot that will clear the application error
2. Also try uninstalling the last application you installed before the error appears and reboot / unplug the battery. You can reinstall these applications later.
3. If it still errors, you can wipe your handheld to clear / delete all the applications and reinstall the application required. How to delete all data and applications from the BlackBerry smartphone using the Security Wipe optio...
4. The final solution is to reinstall OS or all OS upgrade to the latest version. How to update or reinstall BlackBerry Device Software using BlackBerry Desktop Software
