Hi. My device won't update iOS in settings. It won't download any new apps for me. (It is connected to the internet). The latest app I tried to download appears stuck! Has not completed its  download, won't open and I cannot delete it. What can I do? I purchased the product online a year ago. I'm not sure of the exact date... I think it was late November 2012.
    Any help appreciated.

If this has happened more than once the problem is likely on your PC.

9.2.3 is not compatible with Mavericks.  You'll need to go to the App Store and download the iPhyoto 9.5 version.  It will be free. Move your current iPhoto version to the Trash bin and try the App Store again.

  • Mac app store won't open in mavericks OSX

I had a power outage and it seems that since then, my OSX Mavericks on my iMAC won't open so I can't update my OS to Yosemite.  Can anybody help??  I have tried running permissions check and repair and still no luck.  I even did the safe mode bit and tried to run the upgrade or do the disk permissions and still no luck.  I don't have time machine so I can't restore.

If you haven't done so already, make a backup. Then, boot into your recovery volume and repair your startup disk. Don't attempt to update until your Mac exhibits zero problems.

  • IBooks, Mail, After Affects, Quick Time Player, Maps, App Store, won't open after Mavericks install/update

Just about everything on computer is slow as mollases after Mavericks Update. I am very angry because I can't use After Effects at all. It says it's not compatible with this new system. My mail application crashes as soon as I open it. Notification centre is non-existent now and Messages app won't open at all. Other apps such as iBooks, Mail, After Affects, Quick Time Player, Maps, App Store, and a few others won't open at all on this new system. I'm soo angry with Apple as I've never had so many problems with a new OS X. .. I would love to downgrade back to Mountain Lion OS. Anyone with helpful info, please respond. Thanks.

  • App Store Won't Open After Mavericks Install :(

Since installing Mavericks my App Store won't open.  I click and it bounces one time then....nothing.  Any ideas on how to fix this?
I discovered this when I noticed that Image Preview won't open. I thought that there was an update for it so I went to the app store to see and discovered it won't open either!

Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.

Parallels' customer support "believes" differently.  Parallels' legal department knows better!  You will not be able to find and link to me any official Apple statement that such uses are a Snow Leopard EULA violation.
It is convenient for Parallels to continue to promote that Urban Myth for reasons that I am not allowed to describe on this forum.
That being said, I have openly promoted the ability to install and run Snow Leopard client in Parallels for over two years now, including posts on the Parallels Support Forum, this forum and elsewhere.  If it really were a Snow Leopard EULA violation, these posts would have been taken down long ago...

That all being said: now that Apple has made Snow Leopard Server available for a 95% discount to most users, for them, the issue is moot.  To those unable to acquire SLS or unwilling to do so, the ability to install and operate Snow Leopard client within Parallels continues to exist...

  • Download won't open

so i tried to download the latest verison of mozilla. i did. but once i clicked launch it wouldn't appear. so i tried to open it, and when it wouldn't i even uninstalled and reinstalled. it still won't open. if i go to processes it says it's running and i have ended that and started the whole process over to no avail.

You need to provide system info. That aside, I suggest you search the LR/ PS/ ACR/ whatever forums. There are sticky threads in all of them pertaining to the respective issues with the latest updates and ways to resolve these...

  • IMessages won't open after Mavericks upgrade

iMessages won't open after I upgraded to Mavericks. I keep getting prompted to "enter the keychain password," but I never created a keychain. I never used it before the upgrade, and I skipped the step during the upgrade because I did not want to use keychain and it was an option to skip it during set up.

    HI,
The OS X Mac have been using Keychains for a long time.
In the Applications/Utilities folder open Keychain Access.
This should show you at least two keychains.
The Login one for your Mac User account and the System one.
Generally speaking the Keychain keeps the passwords used by various apps and it needs to be Open.
In most cases the Login password for the Mac Account user is also the password that opens the Keychian when the computer is started up.
As each Mac User Account owns it's own Keychain there can be issues when you drag an account from one computer to another rather than using Migration Assistant.
i.e. you might Own it on one computer but not on another.
In the Finder > Go Menu hold down the ALT key and select the Library that appears.
In the library navigate to Keychains.
Click to highlight the Login one.
Now use the CMD and i keys together (Get Info)
At the Bottom unlock the padlock
Highlight the name that has (me) next to it (it should be your Shortname).
Once you have highlighted this use the cogwheel item at the bottom.
This should be greyed out but saying "Make you (Me) the Owner."
You should also have Read and Write permissions like in the Pic.

  • My Apps that I downloaded won't open when I click on them.

I Click on them and they just shake and won't open. I've tried turning on and off my iPod. and I Just bought a week ago and was working fine!

Hi. It sounds like you may be holding your finfer on the icon for too long. Tap the icon quickly. The other method where the icons shake is for rearranging and deleting icons. If the icons are shaking you will need to press the home button to return screen to normal.
