Java_es_05q1-windows-x86 install fails 1628: Failed to complete installation on windows xp pro sp2

Hi All,
I'm trying to install Java ES 2005Q1 on my windows xp pro sp2 notebook, but it always breaks with this error message: 1628: Failed to complete installation
I realized that the SUNJavaES.log always ends at line 151 which is 131077 characters long.
These are the last few characters of this line: ..." AD_MANUAL_ES_CONSOLE_HELP=D:\Sun\JES2005Q1\Server-Root\manua l\es\console\help\ AD_MANUAL_FR_ADMIN=D:\Sun\JES2005Q1\Server-Root\manual\fr\ad min\ AD_MANUAL_FR_ADMIN_HELP=D:\Sun\JES2005Q1\Serve "
I attached the last log file.
This line always breaks at the 131077th char independently of the content of it. I tried to skip some components of JES to see what will occur. The current content of this line obviously was different, but it has broken at the same point.
Thanks in advence for any help.

This could be due to a known issue with length of installation path
Can you try and install in a location with less than 8 characters ?
eg: C:\JES05q1 or C:\Sun

  • Flash Player: Connection failed. Unable to complete installation. Mac OSX

I'm working on a mac running 10.10.1 Yosemite in Safari. My current Flash version is 15.0.0.
On most videos and pictures it now says 'Your Flash Player is out of date".
I've clicked on this icon, which opens saying do you want to download the newest version, and clicked yes.
I've downloaded Adobe Flash Player Update several times.
The downloading always works, the problem is with the installation:
It failed the first time, and all following times it 'picks up' at about 30% then goes up all the way to 97% (sometimes 99%) and then says: Connection failed. Unable to complete installation.
I've tried all the links in the forums saying download directly from here: http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player_osx.dmg - but safari can't find the link.
I wanted to deinstall Flash Player and found this link on the adobe website(Uninstall Flash Player | Mac OS): http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/support/uninstall_flash_player_os x.dmg -> but it says "Safari can't find the server fpdownload.macromedia.com" so I can't even uninstall it!
I have no idea what else to try???
I also tried to open all those links in Firefox and Chrome and they weren't found there either.
Has anyone ideas what I can do? All the links that I found in the forum which solved the problem for others are 'not found' when I click on them.
    Thanks for any tipps!!!

  • Failed to Install The New Preview Build. Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.

    Hello,
I'm having issues upgrading my Windows 10 Technical Preview installation build 9879 to a newer build that's become available late January 23rd.
I am installing the new upgrade in a Hyper-V virtual machine and get the following error:
Failed to install the new preview build, please try again later. 0x80246007
    What could be the problem?
Previously I've had messages that Windows cannot be upgraded on a computer with less than 2 Gbyte of RAM. That's a Hyper-V VM with dynamic memory and I was highly surprised to see this error; never had this before. Had to set 2048 Mbytes as a minimum memory
for this VM. Now that I have this 80246007 error code.
When looking up System log, the following error messages are listed multiple times:
Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x80246007: FBL_AWESOME1501 9926 Professional.
The errors are returned for the Event ID 20 by WindowsUpdateClient
in task category Windows Update Agent..
    I reviewed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
registry key as suggested in Windows
Insider stuck on build 9841 - "No new preview build was found", and here is what it shows:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability]
    "BranchName"="fbl_awesome1501"
    "ThresholdRiskLevel"="low"
    "ThresholdOptedin"=dword:00000001
Note, when attempting to install the downloaded update from a native boot, installation starts with no errors.
However, since setup is not supported for a natively booted VHD files, it does not proceed further showing a message that installation on virtual drives is not supported.
Looks like Setup is having problems installing in a Hyper-V virtual machine.
Possibly, some ESD files got corrupted during downloading? Is it possible to remove them and re-download missing files? (I, however, noticed that Windows seems to re-download upgrade files after you restart 9879 and attempt to check for a new build.
Any clue why installing under VM causes 9926 to fail?
    Thank you in advance.
Well this is the world we live in And these are the hands we're given...

    Hi,
According to the error message, this problem seems like update package installation failed during system upgrade.
You can try to remove ESD file which locate at boot of C drive and upgrade the system again for test.
On the other hand, make sure the system 9879 installed all Windows pushed updates before system upgrade.

  • Installing windows 7 Home premium 64-bit, cannot complete installation

    Hello,
I am currently trying to install a genuine windows 7 home premium copy on my iMac 27" using boot camp assistant 3.0.1 on a new partition. Partition is correctly made, installation proccess was smooth but when windows restarted to complete installation everything goes black. When I use safe mode it tells me that windows cannot complete installation on safe mode, and prompt me to reboot and start windows normally. The windows logo appears again but then everything goes black. I removed the partition and repartititoned the disk with boot camp, and tried installing again. Now it's been about half an hour and after the installation reboot, and the screen is black.
    Any ideas?
    thanks in advance.

    Sorry,
Is this an edu download ISO that you burned to DVD yourself, or retail copy?
No reason to redo partition, when / if you do boot 7 HP, you can always just do clean install, there is nothing wrong with the partitions.
There definitely are problems with 27" iMac and Windows 7 support, and BC 3.0 came out last... July actually, so almost a year, and before RTM (even though "frozen" W7 went through some major changes later).
The worst scenario is when BCA freezes or is killed, that can leave the entire drive and Mac OS inoperable (backups are imperative).
So if you burned the DVD yourself and used Disk Utility, reburn at reduced (2x) speed is all I can think of.
More problems await you AFTER 7 is installed and Apple Boot Camp drivers mess things up again!

  • Installing 10.9, stuck on "COMPLETING INSTALLATION" .

Installing 10.9, it's been at "COMPLETING INSTALLATION" "less than a minute remaining..." for over 30 minutes.  What do I do?

I am there though not stuck.  Went from 7 to 5 to 4 minutes.  We will see.  Seems odd it isn't complete after the 1 minute remaining goes to zero, and it boots through the Apple logo only to go to completing installation.  And I don't have anything odd installed.  Now at 3 minutes and counting.   I feel like Arthur Dent's girlfriend in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 2:23 million and counting!  Now 2 minutes.

  • WRT54GC v.2 won't complete installation on Windows XP

Hi everyone, I've tried most troubleshooting suggestions I can find and still can't get my new router to operate. I am a cable modem user on Windows XP and have been using an old Netgear router with no problems for years. I try to install my new router with the setup CD and it never completes. It always confrims my hardware is setup correctly but says my setup utility cant complete setup ... seems like it isnt reading the router connected to my PC. I;ve tried clearing all settings and reconnecting in the correct order but can never get past the setup stage mentioned ... any thoughts?? thnx

    1)connect the computer to the router's port#1
2)connect the modem to the router's internet port
3)access the router using http://192.168.1.1 .. the default password is admin
4)on the web ui , click on the "mac add clone" subtab , enable it and click clone
5)save the settings and do a power cycle
6)check whether the internet works or not ..

  • Boot Camp Won't Complete Installation Of Windows 7

i was trying to install windows 7 ultimate 64bit in my macbook pro (early 2011), but in the process of the installation, its stopped and stay still for a longtime. i was hoping it will get through but didnt. i tried several times but still got the problem. is there any solutions for this?

    I've a few questions here:
Is your Windows 7 CD one that you bought at retail (a boxed copy) or one burned from Microsoft's online sources (MS Store, TechNet, etc.-an image known in the trade as Electronic Software Distribution (ESD))?  Images from non-official sources, and discs not purchased through reputable sellers, may be incomplete or have other problems.
If an ESD copy, did you follow the instructions given to you for a proper burn?
For both retail and ESD copies, did the DVD include Service Pack 1 (SP1)?
Did you print out, and did you follow, the instructions given in the Boot Camp Installation and Setup Guide?
In particular, there is a step that requires you to format the partition labeled BOOTCAMP as NTFS.  If you somehow missed this step, you will be unable to install Windows properly.
Get past these, and we can resume troubleshooting.

  • How much space does a Windows 7 install take on a Mac?

How much space does a Windows 7 install take on a Mac?

Installation of Windows 7 is required at least around 20GB of disk space 64bit version, 32bit version is around 16GB, 100GB is a sensible amount of disk space for a Windows installation, I suppose.

  • Computer OS wont startup after windows 10 install

Hello im having problem booting my system after installing windows 10 . I made the installation and it worked fine from upgrading from 8.1. But then I wanted to format the drive and at the format menu it got stuck at 2 % and then I restarted the computer. Now it will hang at hp logo and go back to the same logo again. Do I have to replace my hard drive?

From what I understand, if you completed the Windows 10 install and all went to completion, then you are supposed to be able to do a clean install with the Windows 10 DVD or USB download.  With a working computer, GO TO THIS PAGE and scroll down to the "Download Tool button"  Pick the 64 Bit version.  Once clicked it will ask if you want a DVD or USB for the iso.Once it is done and you have either the DVD or the USB version, see if you can then install Windows 10.  If that fails, you might need to replace the hard drive.

  • No sound when running Windows, after installing Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit-Macbook Pro

As the title states I can't get any sound, no matter what configuration I try, when I run Windows. I used the latest version of Lion and the latest version of Bootcamp when installing Windows 7 via bootcamp. I have completed all available Windows updates as well, and still no luck. Mac side, the sound works perfectly. I've been online for hours searching for a solution and I'm running short on possible solutions and patience. So any help or suggestions are would be helpful and greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

  • AutoCAD 2000 Architectural Desktop 3 installation in Windows 7 64 bit Professional

How to get AutoCAD 2000 to install on a Windows 7 64 bit operating system.  The problem we were having was with the forced installation of Netmeeting from the AutoCAD installation disc.  Our solution at the time was to install AutoCAD on the Windows Virtual XP.  The XP mode created more problems than we were able to ignore because the XP mode is very watered down and does support proper graphics for the drafting software.  We decided to try another approach.  Take the AutoCAD 2000 installation disc (Architectural Desktop release 3 in our case, which is based on AutoCAD 2000) and create an ISO image of the disc.  I used MagicISO because it allowed me to make the image, and delete the folder for Netmeeting from the ISO image.  I believe it is under Support\NM in the ISO image.  Once the NM folder is deleted from your ISO image, burn the image onto a new disc.  It will fit onto a 700mb disc.  Then proceed with the installation of AutoCAD onto your Windows 7 machine.  It worked great for me, but my colleague is still having problems.  We suspect it is because he is still using the Beta version of Windows 7 64.  I am using the full Windows 7 64 Professional version.  We will be getting the full version for my colleague and trying the installation again.  Also, my colleague tells me there is a work around to get the express tools installed.  Keep checking back, we will be updating as we get new info.
    Cheers,
    James

I know this is an old thread, but I would really like to install acad2000 on my new laptop.
What does creating the ISO image do for you?  I did this and the iso doesn't automatically load or anything. I can try to run the setup copied to the ISO disc, but it does the same thing as the autocad installation disk. I get the error stating it is
not compatible with my version of windows.  I'm trying to install acad2000 on a windows7 pro 64bit machine.
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
    Jason
Jason ..... obviously you're not the only one reading this after it became an OLD thread!
Go back in this thread (up above, that is) and find the response by -James on Tuesday, January 05, 2010 at 4:58 PM. I'll repeat his instructions here.
    1.  Open the ISO file with MagicISO.
1B. Look for folder \Support\nm.  Remove the "nm" folder.
    2.  Go ahead and install the software with Full/complete installation.  The installation may fail on you near the end.
    If it fails....
    3.  Put your install disc back in the drive (the one you burned, the ISO disc), and choose uninstall from the menu.  After it unistalls, reboot your machine.
    4.  Now put the disc back in again, and redo your full/complete installation.  It should work this time.  (We have done these steps about 5 times on 2 seperate machines to verify it works because we have many machines that need to transition
at some point...)  If it fails a second time, try steps 3-4 again.  If it fails a third time, let me know...
Jason, IF you have returned to this forum, from there on you're on your own, unfortunately!
    Hope this helps .....

    Hi,
How do you connect the printer to the XP machine ? If USB, you need to make that machine as a Print server. Please try this:

  • URGENT Cannot install Ora9i rel 2 Client on Win XP Pro SP2

    Hi folks:
I have a problem installing Oracle 9i in a "clean" machine with Win XP Pro SP2 with .NET 1.1 running on a P4@3GHz and 512MBytes of RAM and 30GBytes of HD free, when I start de UOI only appear de Oracle's splash screen and when I select install/Deinstall products, nothing happens (in the administrator task appear not response and close automatically).
I read a lot of solutions about this here, always the same result, NOTHING.
    - I rename symcjit.dll to symcjit.old (of course i copied the installation CD at the oracle subdirectory to avoid long directory paths)
    - Install a JDK 1.3 and 1.4 (and deinstall them after and clean the registry)
    - I login on windows with a user name without rare characters.
After trying all above and more that I've forgotten I try install a older version (8.1.7) but appear this message.
"There was a problem opening the staging area. Please make sure the 'Source' you have specified is valid"
of course the source is valid (products.jar) and I edited the oraparam.ini file to change the relative paths to absolute, but the same message appear.
¿I'm doing something wrong?¿incompatibilites between Oracle and Windows?
Thanks for any help, I need to resolve this problem ASAP!

Could it be a firewall blocking a port that Oracle needs?
Service Pack 2 for Microsoft Windows XP turns on the firewall by default.
Unless, there is a conflict somewhere with the installation program and what you already have installed. Such as, do you have a version of some Oracle software already installed?
Could it be a conflict with the Java runtime? The Oracle Universal Installer uses its own Java VM.
Have you tried downloading the latest client software for Oracle 9.2 and trying that?
