Java Font Error Message???????

I am in desparate need of help. I am trying to print screen from my Explorer browser from a SCT Banner financial program so that I can document steps in setting up university grant accounts. I keep getting this error message on my desktop and it closes the browser. The computer techs at the university are unable to solve this problem. It seems to only happen to those who run Windows XP.
I need a solution asap.

Thanks.

Has the vendor certified their app to run on the configuration that you are using?
If so it is their problem.
If not it is yours.
You can try loading a more recent version of java but that might not fix it and might make it worse (ie other things might stop working.)
Font errors are usually due a combination of video card, video driver and OS. Sometimes updating the video driver can help.

  • Updated to Firefox 35.0 recently and I keep getting a Java Application error message everytime I pull up a new page

    This is more of a heads-up rather than a ques
    tion.
    I recently update Firefox to version 35. My computer operating system is Windows 7 Starter. Since adding the update every page I pull up I get a Java script error message "Error: 'console' getter called on an object that does not implement window interface."
    I followed the steps for trouble shooting extensions and managed to isolate the problem. It was an add-on extension for Youtube Auto HD 1.4. The message no longer pops up.
    I hope others out there find this helpful.

    Sorry didn't noticed it was solved.

  • Java.lang.error message after updating blackberry protect

    I took the update for Blackberry Protect today on my Blackberry Bold 9900 with OS 7.1.0.391 and now I get the java.lang.error message on re-boot. Anyone know what this is?
    I've tried uninstalling BB Protect and still get it, also tried re-installing it and message is still there.
    What is this error, how will it hinder-impact device and is there a way to fix it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Ok I figured this out
    1) alt lglg - this will show the entire event log
    2) click the blackberry key then select "options"
    what we want to do is basically see what application or applications in the event log is causing the error,
    In order to do that...
    3) Click the blackberry key again... Select "hide all types"
    Now we don't see anything in the event log, all the filters are unselected,
    Scroll down in the list till you find the "java exception" filter, click it... You will see a small menu , select "toggle filter"
    Now you will see exactly what application or applications is causing the java exception error :-)
    Mine was facebook, it could be anything you never know,
    Now.... Open up blackberry desktop , go to applications, remove the application or applications causing the error,
    Select Update
    Your device will now update then reboot, this might take over ten minutes, be patient
    This will work :-)

  • Java.exe error message

    I am getting a java.exe error message after installing Oracle 8i Enterprise Edition on a Windows XP home edition. Can anyone help?

    Hi,
    Oracle usually installs it's own JDK for it's usage. Probably the paths are updated so that iAS is not able to use java that is bundled along with it. Please check the version of java at the command prompt by issuing..."java -fullversion". Please let me know the outcome for me to help you further on this.

    On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
    2. If needed, delete your twitter.com cookies here
    While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help? If you restart Firefox does it help? If not, please see the next section.
    If you have JavaScript enabled in Firefox's options ([https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/javascript-settings-for-interactive-web-pages#w_enabling-and-disabling-javascript support article]) then there are a few different ways that JavaScript could be blocked for twitter.com.
    One common one is the add-on NoScript, which manages scripts on a site-by-site basis. However, you probably would be well aware if you were using NoScript.
    Another is external security software that filters pages on a site-by-site basis. Can you check whether your security software includes this feature?
    A third possibility is another add-on which for some reason is targeting Twitter. Check any ad blockers, Flash blockers or other "blockers" as well as any relating to privacy.
    Finally, there could be other settings, software, or even malware interfering with your Twitter connection.
    One standard diagnostic for interference by add-ons is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
    First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See [[Backing up your information]]. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
    Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode ([[Safe Mode]]) using
    Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    In the Safe Mode dialog, do not check any boxes, just click "Continue in Safe Mode."
    If the site works correctly, this points to one of your add-ons or custom settings as the problem.
    Any change?

  • Font Error Message While Editing a PDF File with Acrobat XI Pro

    Hello,
    I have Acrobat XI Pro running on Windows 8.1
    I scanned a PDF File and then went to "Tools - Text Recognition - In This File - Edit - OutPutStyle ClearScan etc etc" and got the file into "Edit Mode".
    When I replace a "number/digit", the replacement digit font is "very small" and there is a "Yellow Triangle" error message which says the following.
    "The Original Font Fd 3168 is not available or can't be used in editing. Acrobat is using the font "Minion Pro" font in its place.
    Anybody know how to overcome this error message/problem OR alternatively how do I change the FONT of the whole page to some other Font?
    Also how do I find a "similar or equivalent font" for Fd 3168 font that Adobe Acrobat says, is not available.
    TIA

    Hi Bill.  Thanks for replying.
    Unfortunately, I don't have the option of using the original DOCX file.  The author lost it, leaving only the pdf around
    I'm using AA XI 11.0.06.  Upgraded this morning.  That's running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64.
    I get the boundary boxes by clicking on the 'edit text and images' tool, and they appear.  Or don't in this case
    I only need to change a few characters in the file.   However, even just opening up the file in AA and then saving, the "A = " "text" gets deleted.
    Could it perhaps be something to do with embedded or missing maths fonts on my machine?  I mean, I don't get any warnings, just can't do anything with the A and AB italic bold text.
    Thanks!

  • Get the "cannot extract embedded fonts" error message

    I get the "Cannot extract embedded font 'UZNVZW+HElveticaNeueLTStd-Hv-Identity-H'. Some characters may not display or print correctly." error message when I generate a PDF from MadCap Flare or Frame Maker. I am on Windows 8 64-bit / Adobe Acrobat 11 / FrameMaker 9 / MAdCap Flare 9.
    When I do the same task on a Windows 7 system, works like a whistle.
    I am looking at a solution and no workarounds.

    Hi hartmanja14,
    Please let me know if this is happening with all PDFs or any specific document?
    Also, tell me if that document has been created by any third party or not.

  • Missing Font error message

    I keep getting an error message on my iWeb that I am missing a font named SymbolMT, but I have never used that font please help

    Try trashing the file Home Folder/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iWeb.plist and restarting your Mac.
    iWeb seems to think that you have used this font and doing the above should clear up this issue.

  • Java compilation error messages

    Is there any way for HTML DB to return error messages during Java compilation? Every create java command I submit -- unless there is a grievous syntax error -- seems to return statement processed:
    Given....

    public class JavaTest
      public static int returnOne()
           return 1;
    Statement processed.
    0.20 seconds
    begin
      htp.p(returnOne());
    end;

    Statement processed.

    Er....yeah....but do you have any idea why the SQL Command Processor would not return any errors when trying to compile a class with a non-valid dependency?
    Another example:
    create or replace and compile java source named "JavaTest" as
    public class JavaTest
      public static int returnOne()
           MyFooBarClass ns = new MyFooBarClass();
           return 1;
    Statement processed.
    0.37 seconds

  • Floor Plan Manager Webdynpro Java Application : Error Message area change

    Hello Experts,
                             We have a Java Webdynpro Application inside the  ESS business package ,delivered by SAP .
    Is there anyway we can control the Error message area at the top of the Java webdynpro applications using the configuration controller without changing the source code for a particular Java webdynpro application???
    I like to bold the error messsage and change the text color in the SAP Portal.
    If not possible using the configuration controller, what are steps that we need follow to do this change.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Greetson

    This cannot be done through personalization or any configuration.
    If you want to change look and feel of error message then assuming these are personal information applications....you will be required to make changes to ess~per DC in NWDI or application specific DC in NWDI.
    Still I believe...in web dynpro java....it will not be possible to change look and feel of standard error message area

  • Java sequrity error message when connecting to RDBMS from Forms 9i PJC

    Hi,
    I have a Forms 9i PJC that makes a connection to an Oracle 8i RDBMS. The RDBMS is on the SAME box as the 9iAS application where the application is downloaded from. When I try to get a connection object from the thin JDBC driver manager I get the following error message:
    java.security.AccessControlException: access denied (java.util.PropertyPermission oracle.jdbc.J2EE13Compliant read)
    Does any one have a clue what might be the problem?
    TIA,
    Tamas Szecsy

    Meanwhile I did an other test: added the following line to my JInitiator's java.policy file:
    grant codeBase "http://geoias:7780/-" {
         permission java.security.AllPermission;
    Where the geoias is the application server and the port is for the Forms servlet. This way everything works fine. Do you think that this means tha if I sign my jar file (I can not sign the JInitiator applet) will solve this issue? Or can I set the client side Java policy on the server too?

  • I keep getting java runtime error messages

    I have updated and installed my java/java runtime.  Since then, I keep getting these error messages telling me I need 'to install the java runtime environment".  I have already done that.  It keeps directing me to the java page to download the update, which I've already done.
    Can anyone help me with this?  It seems to pop up all the time, both on safari and firefox.   I've checked under preferences and allow javascript, etc is checked.

    This should help.

  • Java internationalized error messages

    Hi,
    I am relatively new to this topic, but I was wondering if there's a way to change the language that Java error messages are displayed in. Is that supported? If not how do I change it myself? Thanks.

    It all depends on what null pointer is mean to the user or end user or customer, as you might be knowing these type of exceptions and be taken into account in different layers of the application to give a meaning full messages to the end user point of view. So these messages are left open for developer to re-write and provide the context catalogs than a cryptic message catalogs for the customer or end users.
    Though for developers to understand about the API specifications and documents, there efforts going on here https://jdk-api-localizations.dev.java.net you may have a look and contribute.

  • Font error message

    Everytime I scroll to the last page of my FORM document I receive this error message: The font 'NFTYEM+Arial-BoldMT' contains a bad /BBox.
    How do I fix this?
    Thanks
    Sandra

    George, my new best friend - hi again!!!
    Interesting you should say that. I did have to edit that last page and replace it. When I open it before it was a form and when it was turned inot a form, when it is a single page, I don't get the error message. But once its placed with the others I get it.
