Dear All,
1) i have installed JDK version 1.4.2_10 ,   when i executed the Checklist i got an error Message
It is not recomended to user JDK version 1.4.2_10 Current Version : JAVA_HOME not available. See also SAP Note 867110.

i have gone through the Note. and i have set the Environment Variable also.
2)   When i am trying to install the Solution Manager 7.0. i am able to find the path by which i can install Centeral Instance.
Installation CD : 51033517_11

As per your mail , the error is JAVA_HOME environmental is missed.
1. For Windows, You will set the following ENV variable.
JAVA_HOME = C:\java142 like this...
Right click on mycomputer>goto properties>click on Advanced>click on Environment variables> clieck on Add New option--> Then JAVA_HOME, after that give value = Java path.
For UNIX (Depending on your OS like AIX/HP/SOLARIS)
JAVA_HOME = /usr/tmp/java142 (this path is for example)
2. Use Installation Master CD/DVD, then click on sapinst.exe on windows based and Unix based you will have to give command ./sapinst
These are all depending on your OS level.

In using it, I found out other's have had this issue and it likely means you have a 3G iPad? If you do, go into settings and turn off cellular data, then try to update again and you should be OK........

I have a workflow enabled on document library and it needs to started manually.
Whenever user starts workflow manually, gets following error:
"the workflow could not check out the list item. Make sure the list item is not checked out." list item is not checked out & this workflow was working smoothly earlier.
OutCome: The workflow operation failed because the workflow lookup found no matching item.

maybe check out for editing documents setting is turned on so wokrflow needs doc to ce cheked out before proceding and user might not have permission to do that.

I get the same error (although in Dutch ;-)).
It also says something like (I'm translating): "Make sure your network settings are correct and your networkconnection is active or try again later." Is there a way to find out these "correct networksettings"?
I now get it for a week, eacht time I connect my iPhone to itunes...

Have problem with "Check for Updates" for iTunes or accessing iTunes stores. Called Apple support locally in Singapore who couldnt help resolve the problem and was directed to helpdesk in Norway but after hours on the phone, they still could not solve the problem. They are also referring solutions from iTunes support FAQs to go through the problem I encountered. In the end, they said will escalate the matter to next level and will contact me back but they never did. Other error message include "A program caused iTunes to stop working..."

I restarted my computer but still have this issue.
I changed the setting from "install updates automatically" to "never check for updates". clicked ok and then changed back to "install updates automatically". Tried to check for updates and still receive the same error.
Windows defender was turned off. I turned it on updated it but still receive the same error message.

Please try this
Stop Windows Update Service and BIT Service now.
Go to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and delete all file under this folder.
Start Windows Update and BIT service now.
Then try to download windows update now.
If doesn't work, please reset the windows update componments

Try this... I had the same problem and this worked for me.
Go to your system preferences → network → make sure WI-FI selected → advanced → DNS tab. Add 8.8.8.8 to the DNS servers. Go back to FaceTime and try to verify your account again.

Can't backup: "a session could not be started" -- can't unlock escrow bag

A few days ago my iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.0.1 stopped backing up. iTunes tells me that "a session could not be started with the iPhone." Running the iPhone Configuration Utility to view the iPhone log is only slightly more enlightening:

If anyone knows how to fix this (other than just wait for iOS 4.1 or later), I’d appreciate it; running without backups worries me slightly, though I don’t have tons of data on the phone. (I’d rather try to avoid reloading it, since my son would be annoyed if I lost his Doodle Jump and Angry Birds scores!)

So 4.0.2 came out and I couldn’t install it (from my laptop) because I couldn’t back up, so I got annoyed and figured out the solution.
First, delete your old backup. (You can do this manually from the ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup directory, or you can do it from iTunes, I believe.) It’s probably best to keep a copy of this, just in case.
Remove all files from the two directories ~/Library/Lockdown and /var/db/lockdown . (Quit out of iTunes first.) The next backup should (hopefully) succeed.

RSC says I have files checked out, but when I try to check them in it says they're not checked out

We are using RSC 3 to control RH7 projects. At the moment RSC says I have hundres of files checked out, but when I try to check them in it says they're not checked out. And then it says "No files were found to CheckIn." What could be causing this?
I tried refreshing and rebooting my (client) PC, and it didn't help.

I am no pro at this product but when you look in source control, who does it say has those files checked out. Does that user match the credentials that you use to connect to source control. The only reason I ask this is, when I first set this up for my Publishers, I used the default admin account to connect to RSC. Then I created accounts for them and went to their workstations to change credentials. I changed the credentials but they had checked out some docs before that and could not check them back in because they were still checked out as admin. Had to change it back, have them check projects back in and then switch credentials. Hope this helps.
