Java iView Runtime errorr when trying to connect on portal

Hi experts,
when we try to connect to our portal ( .../irj/portal ) ;
we always get following error :
" Java iView Runtime
Copyright 2002 SAP AG. All rights reserved.
An exception occured while processing your request.
If this situation persists, please contact your system administrator. "
We looked on others threads and SAPnotes, but as we are running on EP7 SP15 , none of them seem to be adapted ...
The only interesting logs we found in defayltTrace.trc are :

Do you have any idea on how we can resolve this issue ?
Regards !

In fact we're not quite sure on what exactly caused the problem ...
What we did was :
- deploy from NWDS of Webdynpros ... but we don't see how an apllication deployment may has caused a such big issue
- we also enabled 2 services in the portal : Activity Reporting service and Activity data Collector ... may enabling these 2 services have cause this global issue ?
Thanks for your quick response,
Regards,

    Hi
I've just upgraded to 1.5.1 Build MAIN-5440 and I'm now getting the following error on every connection.
It happens after the UN/PW is checked (if you enter UN/PW incorrectly this is detected first).
I've several Ocacle databases XE and other 10.2 versions - all do exctly the same thing.
    This is a showstopper.
    Any clues.

    Hi K
I tried your suggestion but it made no difference.....
I then removed SQL Developer entirely both the SW directory and all the settings in the ApplicationData directory.
Reloaded from downloaded zip file, started, and downloaded updated online - taking only the SQLDeveloper software updates - no other database viewers or migration stuff.
This worked the first time but then I ran into the issue of the connections not loading at startup.
This I solved by following the sqldeveloper.conf additions described in:-
    http://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=737
Things seem back to normal now.
    Thanks

  • Runtime Error when trying to connect with Media manager

Whenever I try to connect to the Media manager with Blackberry Desktop manager, I get "Runtime Error"!
It says: "Program:C:\Program Files\Roxio\MediaManager 9\MediaManager9.exe"  Then it says "This application has requested the Runtime to termnate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I seached and learned it might be that roxio is not running and to enable it going through the Start menu "msconfig".....it shows roxio "stopped" but also enabled.
Help! What next?  This didn't begin happening until I followed a prompt telling me to update!

dear JLK, I must agree with herb: 'google is your friend'.
To give you a few pointers:
    - The nmap output shows no 3389/tcp open, which means you will not be able to use the terminal server on that host, even if it where active.
    - Check if the windows host you are trying to reach has a terminal server running (which is the windows server component which is responsible for serving remote desktop connectons), or has windows desktop sharing enabled (which is the windows client/non server variant responsible for serving remote desktop connections)
    - Check if the windows host your are trying to reach has a firewall of some sort (the windows embedded one, or a 3rd party one) enabled.
    - Also, can other machines use remote desktop on that machine?

Check whether is there any network problem between application server and CI.
This problem generally comes when there is a problem between connection of UME.

    Krishna Kanth,
logs can be read from nwa, if you hv the relevant access or get portal admin to pass the defaulttrace file to you. Login to nwa, navigate to Monitoring-Logs and traces and select (either default trace or last 24hrs) to view the logs. hope this helps

  • Error message when  trying to connect Classic 120GB to iTunes    An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob". java.lang.NullPointerException

When trying to connect to iTunes I get this message
An internal error occurred during: "FindSonarTrackJob".
    java.lang.NullPointerException

I too am having this problem and have had, for about a week now.
I've found that by logging off itunes (if I can), closing it down, and then restarting it, sometimes allows it to work for one transaction (say downloading an updated app). After that it's back to the same error.
    Really annoying.

    thanks in advance

    Hi Maya,
BEx Web Analyzer requires Portal and is basically a Web template called 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.
Is Portal configured in your system landscape? If yes try to see if its configured probably using transaction RSPOR_CUST01.
If you have access to SM59, you can test the RFC connection to the portal by running the Test Connection for the corresponding RFC destination ID that you see in RSPOR_CUST01 transaction.
    Assign points if helpful

  • Why do I keep getting a connection error when trying to connect to SQL?

    Environment:
    LiveCycle ES2
    Windows Server 2008

    Oracle Application DB
When trying to connect to SQL, I get this error message in the log.
Exception: Could not create connection; - nested throwable: (java.lang.UnsupportedOperationException: Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.6 is not supported by this driver. Use the sqljdbc4.jar class library, which provides support for JDBC 4.0.))
I have these two files located in \\jboss\server\lc_oracle_cl\lib
    sqljdbc.jar
    sqljdbc4.jar
I was told all I needed to do was drop these two files in the directory above and restart JBOSS. Is there something I'm missing?
    Jesse

    Hi Jesse,
The driver you are using is for SQLServer Database. Since you are using Oracle as your database, you need an oracle driver. Please copy ojdbc6.jar from the [installDir]/lib/db/oracle/ directory and try again.
    Thanks,

  • Java Iview Runtime error after logon

    Hello,
we are facing some problem regarding our EP 7.0 SP13. We have an anonymous page as our home page, with some anonymous ivews, like "help", "news", etc and one iview with authentication set to default where users log into the portal and access to the private section of the portal.
That ivew does a redirection to /irj/portal and since the user is athenticated it will led him to the private home. The problem is that after logon, a Java iview runtime error appears, and users must refresh the browser to access the private section. (user is logged before the error appears).
We have checked this is not happening with users with "super admin" o "content admin" role. They are able to log into the portal, and redirection is working fine. So we think there can be some problem with security zones or authentication somewhere in the portal, but since this is the standard logon component i don´t know why is this not working.
We have checked that the redirection is working, and we have made some tests with different kind of iviews like KM iviews, URL iviews, pictures, etc. Only admin users are able to log in correctly, the others get the java iview runtime error, so we think the problem is with to standard logon...
Here goes a trace of our problem (defaultrace.trc):

can anyone help us with this problem?
    Thanks in advance

The problem was solved, it was a permission problem.
The anonymous role which allow access to the anonymous section of the portal was assigned to anonymous user, but it hasn´t everyone permission. So anonymous users were able to see anonymous pages, but when they login they lose the role, and java iview error happened, unless they had admin rights.
Solved assigned by assigning everyone to that role.
    Thanks

    What could be the Problem

    Hi Maya,
BEx Web Analyzer requires Portal and is basically a Web template called 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN.
