    We have a JAVA application which runs the below query. The application is scheduled to run as a job once every month. We notice that when the application runs for the 1st time, then we get the below error :
    **************Failed to execute SQL: select tablespace_name, total_mb, used_mb, pct_used, free_mb, recycle_mb, extendible_mb from all_mspace where tablespace_name in ('ORAUSER') order by tablespace_name
    Sorry but I cannot tell you the lines mentioned as ####### and *******  due to confidentiality.
    Sorry - but if you won't post the info needed to help you then you won't get any help.
    You haven't posted ANY info about the Java version, JDBC jar version, databse name and version, Nor have you posted ANY of the Java code involved in creating the connection or executing the JDBC code.
    And the query you did post is either wrong or uses a custom table/view named 'all_mspace'.
    All of the above means we can't try to reproduce the problem or even SEE the line of code that might be causing the problem.
    It also means we can't even guess what else your application might be doing BEFORE the problem part of the code executes or  WHERE the problem might be. I have no reason to think the problem is in the driver or, as the other responder's link mentions, that you are even using a connection pool.
    No one expects people to post confidential info. You need to create the SMALLEST section of code that reproduces the problem and then post that. You need to do that just for your own troubleshooting purposes: remove ALL unnecessary code, and keep removing stuff, until the problem goes away or you get down to a small section of code. Then you can begin troubleshooting.
    Good luck with your problem.

    This is a known bug when using global scoped work manager with max thread constraints set to -1.
    You can contact the support for a patch from CR384080 or can do the following workaround :
    1. Use application scoped work manager instead of global work manager.
    2. Use a positive integer value (say 5) as setting for the Maximum Threads Constraint Count instead of the default -1.
    3. Create a global work manager and delete the Maximum Threads Constraint. Create it later with a positive value when required and avoid using -1.

    You really need to provide your code. My guess is that you are accessing an invalid index in an array on line #55 of HelloServlet.java

    hello,

    i got a
    java.lang.RuntimeException: Error while creating embedded frame

    at sun.plugin.viewer.WNetscapePluginObject.setWindow(Unknown Source)
    when starting a complex Java Applet in Firefox (2 + 3). Then the bowser freezes.
    Internet Explorer freezes too, but doesn't left anything in the console.
    Simple applets like http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml works fine, but i doesn't know the special thing on my applet that keeps it from running.
    The best thing about it is ... this happens only on some computers, on most systems the applet works as aspected.
    i have no idea, where i should start to search to solve this problem, does anybody have one?
    Systems that doesn't work : Win XP; Java Plugin 1.6.0_06
    Systems that work : Win XP; all Java Plugins

    I solved this problem by correcting a typo in the HTML source:
    I had a error within the DIV tag containing the applet. In this case a TD tag within this DIV contained some bad characters. Such problems could be avoided by using a HTML validator.

  • Bea weblogic server 6.1 - Failure in process sockets - Java.lang.NoSuchmethod Error

    Hi
    I have installed the BEA weblogic server 6.1 service pack 4 as part of PIA (PeopleSoft
    Internet Architecture) installation for PeopleSoft 8.8.
    After starting the weblogic server, When I type the
    http://localhost:12080 (http port number 12080) ideally it should take me to
    the BEA home page, but it is throwing an error in the log file.
    " Failure in Process sockets - Get Data Java.lang.nosuchmethod error"
    Your help is very much appreciated.
    Any pointers are welcome.
    Thanks
    Aswartha

    I had similar problems with my install of Weblogic 6.1 sp4. I am installing PS
    HRMS 8.8 sp1
    and PeopleTools 8.44 Patch 2 (Patch 2 is required for install) Peoplesoft sent
    me Weblogic 8.1
    with my new Tools 8.44. This version and installation is light years ahead of
    Weblogic 6.1. If
    you are able to load the new version of Weblogic and Tuxedo, it is worth it.
    If not, you may want to check to see if your JAR file was installed correctly.
    (The new version
    of WL doesn't make you unzip your JAR files for the install.)
    In the command line for unzipping the JAR file, make sure you type the phrase
    EXACTLY as
    shown IT IS CASE SENSITIVE. I messed with this for two hours until I saw that
    I wasn't putting
    a capital letter in one of the words where I should have been.
    Hope this helps.

  • Oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error

    Hi Members,
    I am getting the oracle.forms.engine.Main not found.java.lang.ClassNotFoundException error when trying to access Oracle forms using APEX 2.2.1 and SSO.
    load:class.oracle.forms.engine.Main not found
    The forms have been compiled, forms path setup properly and the setup required to run forms seems to be right. Jinitiator has also been installed.
    I have searched the forums and tried everything. I have checked jinitiator settings, cleared cache and even reinstalled it. Do you have any experience with this error? Appreciate any answers. Thanks.
    Ravi.

    Dear Friends,
    I was also facing the same problem. to solve this, i have uninstalled Oracle Jinitiator. Cleared all the temporary internet files & cookies. Then while running the form, when it asks to install JInitiator, i have specified a different path for jinitiator, For Example, By default it asks for C:\programfiles, i have changed it to c:\manish directory.
    This has solved my problem. Probably this also help you.

  • ExecuteBatch() with java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException

    Friends,
    I'm using this code :
    try {
    conn.setAutoCommit(false);
    PreparedStatement pstat = conn.prepareStatement("INSERT INTO tb_fre_tran_in (fre_tran_id, fre_tran_in_tlv_seq, fre_tran_in_tlv_value) VALUES (?, ?, ?)");
    for (iCount=0; iCount<in.getSizeFields(); iCount++) {
    pstat.setInt(1, iFreTranId);
    pstat.setInt(2, Integer.parseInt(in.getFieldTag(iCount)));
    pstat.setString(3, in.getFieldValue(iCount));
    pstat.addBatch();
    System.out.println(iCount + "-> " + iFreTranId + "Passei pelo addBatch()");
    int[] res = pstat.executeBatch();
    System.out.println(iFreTranId + "-->" + res.length);
    conn.commit();
    pstat.close();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    When the program going to execute the "int[] res = pstat.executeBatch();" line I got a error telling that "java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException"
    Somebody has some idea whats happening ???
    Thanks a lot,
