Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/bea/wlw/runtime/core/bean/SLSBContainer
Get the following error during application deployment in a ALDSP only Domain. Note this error happens only when the application contains a jws file exposing a Dataservice as a web-service:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/bea/wlw/runtime/core/bean/SLSBContainerBean
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(ClassLoader.java:539)
at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(SecureClassLoader.java:123)
at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findLocalClass(GenericClassLoader.java:480
SOLUTION:
=========
Add the following two jar files at the begining of the classpath in the startWebLogic.cmd file of the domain.
%WL_HOME%\common\lib\log4j.jar;%WL_HOME%\server\lib\knex.jar
Hi Binu,
Unfortunately, deploying a web service created in WebLogic Workshop 8.1 to a WLS 9.1 server is unsupported.
The only upgrade path available is to upgrade you 8.1 workshop webs services to a Workshop 9.2 web service and deploy to a workshop 9.2 server.
You can do this with the current WLW 9.2 Beta.
Also, this forum is primarily for the BEA Workshop Studio line of products. Please post all WLW 8.1 related questions only in the weblogic.developer.interest.workshop newsgroup at http://newsgroups.bea.com/bea/forum.jspa?forumID=2041&start=0

Hey I recently applied the 11.1.1.3.04 service fix for calc mgr/planning which involved a few file changes for EAS as well.
I patched and re-deployed calc mgr/planning/eas without any issues in DEV
When I patched prod, and then redeployed the web servers, business rules is now failing.
This error is in the planning log:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/hyperion/hbr/core/HBRThinServer
and this error is in EAS log when I login to EAS:
ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' com.hyperion.hbr.db.DBTable - Error while creating Repository object. Please make sure your HBR Configuration is correct.
ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)' com.hyperion.hbr.core.PluginDataManager - Error creating PluginDataManager. Please check your log file for details on what caused this error.
Anyone run into this issue and have any advice how to solve it? I also opened an issue with Oracle
THanks
JeffThanks for the advice Nick.
I decided to redeploy EAS app server again, but this time also re-register the database. the register database step was not needed when I patched dev or test, perhaps because in dev and test planning and eas were on the same server. In prod, eas and planning are on different servers.
so after registering and re-using the existing tables so that I wouldn't lose my rules, the app deployed without any errors in the logs and all my business rule problems have been resolved.
Thanks

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:
BEA-398120
Error: The WSDL for the typed transport endpoint could not be accessed.
Description
There was a problem retrieving the WSDL from the typed transport service endpoint at the time of service registration
Action
Contact technical support
This is the the full stacktrace that shows eclipse.
Generate : Error during generation of the WSDL:

PurnenduHi,
Redeploy the <b>com.sap.netweaver.bc.util.par</b> file and check if <b>bc.util.private_api.jar</b> file is present on your server.

... 27 morehi,
thanks for the replies.
well i guess that(user authentication) is not the problem.
Coz that happens even before i start the web service.
i guess the problem is that the appl. is not finding the TaskMonitor class ( see the last 10 lines of the log).
does anyone have a solution for that.
thanks -

Either a missing jar or the classpath is not defined right. -
I'm using a User defined function "getFGN" to call a Java Class developed in NWDS. the source in NWDS has no errors when it is build. But when i Run the code i get error below.
Buy using the Debugging facility in NWDS i can see that the problem is this code linie:
<i>SldApplicationServiceInterface srvContext = (SldApplicationServiceInterface) jndiContext.lookup(SldApplicationServiceInterface.KEY);</i>

Looks like your CLASSPATH is not set properly...Just try to Put the Jar inside "<DOMAIN_HOME>\lib" directory...in that case u need not to alter anything in the Classpath variable...it will be appended at the end of Classpath at the run time, Using Extended Directory ClassLoader.
by default Classpath settings doesnt take effect if we specify it in the startScript of Servers but we start them using NodeManagers...So if you are using Nodemanagers to start your Servers... then you can follow the below link to set the Classpath & Memory Arguments http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/

Hi everybody,
I got trouble with my WebDynpro Application. When I deploy an application including a Table without being bound to any context node, the deployment works and the view is rendered properly. As soon as I bind this table to the context in order to fill the columns, I receive the Exception Message in the subject line. I tried running this application on several WEB AS Version from SP 14 to 17, however, I received the same Exception everytime. Is the framework of my NWDS broken or what is going on?
I'm grateful for every hint that could solve the issue,
thx and rgds,

Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/taldor/LongTextRow
Hi all,
I have a WD DC application that uses another Java DC, which has two simple classes - Global and LongTextRow (Both exposed in a single PP as both source and class).
When I try to run the WD app I get the following error - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/taldor/LongTextRow.
Something is not deployed correctly (I guess)....
Please help,
AviadHi Aviad,
As Java DC cannot be deployed directly onto the server, you need to wrap it in a library DC to deploy it.
Since LongTextRow class is required at runtime now, you need to follow the above way.
It might be the case that initially you may not be referencing the Global class at runtime & might be required at design time (build time) only.
Hope this clarifies.
Kind Regards,
Nitin -
Hi All,
I have created and deployed an EJB application in CE7.1,I am using this jars "_webdynpro_pdfobject.jar",for read the xml data in pdf ,For that time i am getting following errors",
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sap/tc/webdynpro/adsproxy/types/p1/RpDataat com.sap.tc.webdynpro.pdfobject.api.WDPDFObjectFactory.getPDFObject(WDPDFObjectFactory.java:43)
Plz anyone suggest
Regards,
Vinoth Raja.VWell, first of all, you should not use a Web Dynpro API in an EJB app. Web Dynpro is a UI technology, EJB implements the business logic.
Furthermore, the PDFObject API has been deprecated. For more information and guidance, please refer to its [javadoc|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/nwce/current/wdr/com/sap/tc/webdynpro/pdfobject/api/package-summary.html].

I reinstalled win2k and since then I cant get my javac prompt to work
The error is :
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/tools/javac/Main
But I can find the java.exe
jar tools, etc.
Is there some version problems associated with this;
I am actually tring to run a compile script
as below:
COMPILE SCRIPT
rmdir/s/q K:\MyProjects\class\com
pause
javac -classpath K:\MyProjects\class;%JAVAC_CLASSPATH%%J2EE_CLASSPATH% -d K:\MyProjects\class @Compiler.txt
pause
This script was working normally before I reinstalled Win2k.
My CLASSPATH , PATH are below and my jdk is installed in K:\jdk1.3.0_02
SystemRoot = K:\WINNT
JAVAC_CLASSPATH:
%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%JAVA_HOME%\lib;%JAVA_HOME%\lib\tools.jar;%JAVA_HOME%\lib\dt.jar;
CLASSPATH
%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%\system32\cmd.exe;JAVAC_CLASSPATH% %J2EE_CLASSPATH%%JRE_HOME%; %MY_PROJECT%\SQLConstant.txt;
PATH
%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%\system32\WBEM;%JAVAC_CLASSPATH%;%J2EE_CLASSPATH%;K:\Oracle\bin;K:\Program Files\Oracle\jre\1.1.7\bin;C:\Inprise\AppServer\bin;K:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere 7\win32;K:\Program Files\Sybase\Shared\win32;K:\Program Files\Sybase\Shared\Sybase Central 4.0\java;K:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\80\Tools\BINN;K:\Program Files\Sybase\EAServer4.0\java\lib\easclient.jar;K:\Program Files\Sybase\EAServer4.0\java\lib\easserver.jar;K:\Program Files\Sybase\EAServer4.0\java\lib\easj2ee.jar;K:\BorlandEnterpriseServer\bin;K:\WebSphere\AppServer\bin;K:\Program Files\IBM\MQSeries\bin;K:\Program Files\IBM\MQSeries\Java\Lib;K:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere MQ Publish and Subscribe\bin
I cant notice any difference between the old classpath settings.
Could somebody help me out in this issue
Thanks
manojHi Manoj,
I had the same problem.
This is what worked for me:
I'm running Win2k.
So, in C:\WINNT\system32 I found the following files
javac.exe
javaw.exe
java.exe
I removed them all, since I have the jdk pointed in the right classpath in my environment variables.
Once this was deleted. It worked fine!
I hope this helps. -
Error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/tangosol/net/CacheFactory
error java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/tangosol/net/CacheFactory
could please let me know why i am getting this error. I have coherence.jar and tangosol.jar in classpath.
Edited by: tally_15 on Jun 23, 2010 6:12 AMHi,
Is it a new setup? Is CacheFactory the only class you can't access or you can't access any Coherence class?
Thanks,

Hi All,
I am getting the java.lang.ClassCastException: com.bea.wsrp.producer.descriptor.DefaultPortletDescriptor
while loading a portlet from a portal.
I could see the jar for this class is wsrp-producer.jar.Is this due to a jar issue.I cant debug as it needs the java source files for the wsrp-producer.jar.Can anyone help us where we can get the source java files for the classes in wsrp-producer.jar.
The weblogic server is weblogic-10.3.2
Thanks in Advance

I'm getting this error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/j3d/utils/applet/MainFrame
at HelloUniverse.main(Compiled Code)
I receive this error when I try to run the demos that are in the /usr/java1.1/demo folder.
I followed the directions to install java3d. I installed the java3d binary in the top part of
the JDK directory then ran the binary. Everything installed o.k., but I cannot run
any of the demos. I also have J2SE 1.2.2_05a, JDK 1.1.8_10, and.
JRE 1.1.8_10 installed. My operating system is SunOS 5.6, Solaris 2.6. My workstation
is an Ultra 5 with 374mb ram.
Here is part of the install intructions.
Place the java3d1_2-solsparc.bin file into the top level directory
of the JDK you wish to install Java 3D into. Execute the
java3d1_2-solsparc.bin file (ex: sh java3d1_2-solsparc.bin).
After installation, you may remove this file.
The Java 3D(TM) SDK includes several demo programs that can
verify correct installation. Assuming your Java 2 SDK is installed
at ~/Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_05, try the following:
cd ~/Solaris_JDK_1.2.2_05/demo/java3d/HelloUniverse
java HelloUniverse
Note: Many more demos are available under the demo/java3d/
directory. Some of the demos require a maximum memory
pool larger than the default in java. To increase the
maximum memory pool to 64 meg, add the following command
line options to java or appletviewer:
java: -mx64m
appletviewer: -J-mx64m
You do not need to include the J3D jar files in your CLASSPATH,
nor do you need to include the J3D shared libraries in your PATH.
You should include "." in your CLASSPATH or ensure that CLASSPATH
is not set.
I'm not sure how to set set/unset the CLASSPATH and I'm not sure if I was supposed to
place the binary file in the /usr/java1.1 or /usr/java or /usr/java1.2 directory.
Can anyone help?
tomjones-- If jar size isn't an issue, I recommend using thick "weblogic.jar" instead of the thin "wl*.jar" jars. The thick jar is a better performer, is used by more customers, and has more features. Otherwise:
-- It might help to use the thin client jars from a later service pack - several service packs have been released since SP2, or you might even try using jars from a recent 9.2 SP or even 10.0.
-- Also, check to see if the 1.4.2 JVM is up-to-date and/or try switching from the Sun JVM to the JRockit JVM (or vice-versa).
-- Finally, it might help to check if your XP environment matches your Linux environment (JVM command-line, classpath, etc).
-- Also: The IIOP newsgroup may also have some advice. The thin client uses the IIOP protocol even when a "t3:" URL is specified by the application.
