Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError when try to use RDBMS WLI adapter sp2

Hi,
We have encountered a problem when trying to use the latest version of the WLI
RDBMS adapter downloaded from the website.
This adapter comes as an ear file of size 4026K.
Has anyone been able to get this version to work??
Was using the earlier version of size 3278K happily but found a few bugs in it
so wanted to use the later version but when we do, we can't call any Application
View services.
When we try to call a service we get the error:
java.lang.NoSuchMethodError at com.ibi.beardbms.cci.InteractionImpl.execute(InteractionImpl.java:217)

Hi Adam,
You need to get Patch CR095687 in order to use this adapter with SP2, (and
stop this exception). It's mentioned in the release notes
(http://edocs.bea.com/wladapters/rdbms/docs70sp2/pdf/relnotes.pdf), a the
bottom of page 3. You need to contact BEA support for this patch.

    Hi there!
    After deploying a small web app developed in JDeveloper9.0.3.2 to Oracle9iAS OC4J 9.0.3, I get an error when trying to create a record using EditAction create() method:

    What gives? ;-)
    I assume it has something to do with incompatible BC4J library versions?

    The class mentioned in the error message is in rm-pdrl.jar, which should be in your libs/2.0 directory.  There may be a conflict between this jar and something in libs/1.5.  Please try moving libs/2.0 before libs/1.5 in your classpath and see if that resolves the issue.

    hi Arie,
    thanks for the tip ;-), I was using application id which was already use in my htmldb installation. I changed the id in the f105.sql to something which was not used and it went through fine.
    We often run htmldb imports through sqlplus because when running it through web site it too often fails with timeout. When import is done through the web site I believe htmldb does the id modification automatically but in sqlplus that obviously won't happen hence we need to do it manually before running the script. If we don't change it import will fail as the workspace with the id mentioned in the sql script does not exist. Like you said might not be supported ....but it still works fine... :-)
    thanks for your help.

    Hi PK,
    that's a bug - but:
    (1) You are running SP2 P4 HF1, that's really old...
    (2) The version info says nothing about the KMC level you are running, but probably, it is also quite old; that's (KMC) where the exeception comes from.
    So the first advise is to upgrade your SP2 installation to a higher Patch-Level.
    Hope it helps
    Detlev
    PS: Ooops, good morning Achim, you've been faster...

    Hi..
    I guess itzz more of the service pack problems.
    Jars built on the later version won't work in the previous version (service packs) of weblogic.
    Try building a jar on the oldest version (service pack) u have and then try deploying it to the later version , i think it won't give u any problems.
    Try it out and let me know if u face any problems

    Hello EJP thanks for your answer.
    I put the jar files in the Project Properties->Java Build Path dialog to the project like i did it many times before. Now i added httpcore-4.0.jar and httpcore-4.1.jar to the classpath, but no difference the error is still the same. I don't know which jar files get used at runtime.
    Alternatively i put the jar files in a lib folder under the WEB-INF folder, but the error leaves the same.
    Can you please explain me the solution a little more detailed.
    Kind regards,
    Chang

  • Error java.lang.NoSuchMethodError while using Lexalytics

    Hello,
    I have a Linux 64bit environment with the complete Endeca Information Discovery 2.4 installed. When I try to use the Text Enrichment component I get the error:
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
    I have edited the .bash_profile file with the parameters that are needed to use Lexalytics:
    lxainstall=/home/oracle/Oracle/Endeca/Lexalytics
    export lxainstall
    LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$lxainstall/salience/lib
    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jdk1.6.0_45
    export JAVA_HOME
    JAVA_OPTS="-Djava.library.path=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH"
    export JAVA_OPTS
    PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH:$HOME/bin:$lxainstall
    export PATH
    Also when I try to export the LD_LIBRARY_PATH and reboot my system, my desktop doesn't load and I see no icons on my desktop. I can start programs with the top menu.
    I have installed version 5.1 of Lexalytics.
    Does anybody know why I get this error?
    Thanks!
    Marco

    Hi Marco, I had the same problem. Instead of loading LD_LIBRARY_PATH in .BASH_PROFILE I made a shell script that first load LD_LIBRARY_PATH and then start integrator. Now it is working fine for me.

  • Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError using beans and JSP

    Hi,
    I get a
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: Unit.UnitBean.execSQL(Ljava/lang/String; Ljava/sql/ResultSet;
    when i try to call that method from my jsp page. I can call all other methods in teh bean but I can't understand why it can't find execSQL when it finds every thing else.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Mike
    Heres a copy of my java bean code:
    package Unit;
    import java.sql.*;
    import java.io.*;
    public class UnitBean
         Connection con;

              String strUser = "xxxx";
              String strPassword = "xxxxx";
              Class.forName("org.postgresql.Driver");
              con = DriverManager.getConnection(strConnectURL, strUser, strPassword);

              return rs;
         public String test()
              String Mike="HIHIHIHIHI";
              return Mike;
    }And the jsp code:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html"%>

                        while(rs.next())
                                  out.println(rs.getString("unitid"));
                        Unit.disconnect();
                   catch(Exception e)
                        out.println("<p>Problem with jsp code" +e);
              %>
              This is a jsp page.
              <p><a href = "http://stuweb3.cmp.uea.ac.uk/~xxxx/index.html">Click here for home page</a>
         </body>
    </html>

    Yeah, that worked great, thanks a lot. I thought that JSP compiled when you changed it and then visited it, but i've tried that. I just ran ant stop start on my server and it's all working.
    Thanks again :)

  • Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: getSocket using JavaMail inside JBoss

    Hi,
    i built a library to easily send emails with JavaMail, via SMTP. When i use my lib in a stand-alone java application, it works fine, but when i need to use it inside my web application, deployed on JBoss AS, i get the following error:
    Servlet.service() for servlet action threw exception
    java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: getSocket

         at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:233)
         at it.compit.mail.helper.send.SMTPSender.send(SMTPSender.java:39) where it.compit.mail.helper.send.SMTPSender.send is the method i use to send email in my lib. SMTPSender.java at line 39 is
    SMTPTransport tr = (SMTPTransport) session.getTransport("smtp"); I don't want to use SessionBean to send email from JBoss AS. I did not include mail.jar in server/default/lib dir because JBoss has got a built-in implementation of JavaMail. Using javamail debugging, i've noticed that javamail inside my JBoss is "JavaMail version 1.3.1", while i used version 1.4ea to build my lib.
    So, any ideas to solve my problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    Elisa Distefano a.k.a Etha

    Hi bshannon,
    i looked for other javamail libs in my JBoss dir: found nothing but the only mail.jar located in server/default/lib/ (provided by default installation). I tried to specify the classpath into mail-service.xml without success.
    I also noticed that when JBoss starts, logs print "DEBUG: JavaMail version 1.3.1 " while the MANIFEST.MF inside my mail.jar contains "Implementation-Version: 1.4".
    My JBoss version is 4.0.4 GA. Any idea?!?

    Hi,
    This is the problem with the jaxws-rt.jar in my classpath.I have removed the jar from the class path then it started working
    culprit here is ‘com.sun.xml.ws.util. JAXWSUtils’ which is defined in jaxws.rt.<version>.jar. Weblogic 10 uses glassfish.jaxws.rt_2.1.3.jar.
    Could you please check in (ANT) classpath where in any other jaxws.rt.jar being referred which may not have ‘getEncodedURL’ method definition

  • Java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: init when running in a Thread

    I have a Java class that calls a C++ function (JNI) and the return of that function is a Java object:
    Theres the problematic C++ code:
    jclass taskDescriptorClass = env->FindClass("a/b/TaskDescriptor");
    if (taskDescriptorClass == NULL) {
         //Class cannot be found
         return NULL;
    jmethodID constructorMID = env->GetMethodID(taskDescriptorClass, "<init>", "void(V)");
    if (constructorMID == NULL) {
         return NULL;
    }This code as always behaved as expected, running in a JUnit test. But now Im calling the code inside a thread (new Thread(new Runnable() { public void run() { ...NATIVE CALL...), but now Im getting an exception:

    Does anyone know why is this happening?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    This is the problem with the jaxws-rt.jar in my classpath.I have removed the jar from the class path then it started working
    culprit here is ‘com.sun.xml.ws.util.
