Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError.Error is null

Hi
While deploying the adobe-livecycle-websphere.ear file iam getting the "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError.Error is null." Can you help in rectifying this error?
We are Thinking that this error is because of heap size, if we are correct please do let us know how to increase the heap size.
We kept Initial Heap Size box as 256 and the Maximum Heap Size box 1024.Also we tried with Maximum Heap Size box as 0(Zero) but we are getting the same error. Please Help us ....

Do you have WebSphere 6.1 SP5 installed?
What version do you get when you execute the command %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -version?
This is coming from the installation document:
Installing WebSphere Application Server
You must install WebSphere Application Server 6.1 for running LiveCycle ES products.
When you run the LiveCycle ES installer, you should run it as the same user.
Installing a Fix Pack to WebSphere 6.1
After you have installed WebSphere 6.1, you must update to Fix Pack 5 or later before you deploy LiveCycle ES.
Refer to the WebSphere support website for access to the WebSphere updates.
Setting the JAVA_HOME and PATH environment variables
As part of your WebSphere installation, a Java SDK was installed. The JAVA_HOME and PATH environment
variables must point to the Java SDK where LiveCycle ES is to be deployed.
➤ To set the JAVA_HOME environment variable (Windows):
1. Select Start > Control Panel > System.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Click Environment Variables.
4. In the System Variables area, click New.
5. Enter JAVA_HOME as the variable name and enter the directory where you installed Java SDK. This directory is where WebSphere installed the Java SDK containing the /bin sub directory.
For example,type the following:
C:\Program Files\IBM\WebSphere\AppServer\java
Note: To verify your JAVA_HOME environment variable, open a command prompt and run the following
command: %JAVA_HOME%\bin\java -version
You should receive a response that begins with java version "1.5.0".

  • Java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when calling invokeMethod from CO

    Hi All,
    We are developing some custom pages using OA. All the pages were working properly utill yestarday and all of of a sudden I started getting java.lang.OutOfMemoryError error in my local Jdeveloper.I have not installed any new software or any upgrade between now and then, and there has been no changes to my application either. I even tried running this page standalone. I uninstalled Jdeveloper and reinstalled it again still the same. When I copy the code from AM into my CO it works fine. What could be causing the issue ?

    Thanks for taking my query.
    Here is the code from fpi.oracle.apps.xbol.gwo.webui.GWOOrderHeaderCO where the exception originated.. this is not just with this CO but in all the CO. This code is exactly the same as in the PO Tutorial. Also I could not locate the option to set the JVM memory parameter in Project setting. I have set the Java heap size -mx512m which I believe is what you wanted me to do.

  • Getting 'java.lang.OutOfMemoryError' while importing process flows.

    Hello,
    We are getting 'java.lang.OutOfMemoryError' error while importing process flows in our QA environment. This environment is not new. The same process flows were working perfectly fine till last week.
    This week we had to delete the project in QA and reimport all the objects. Import went fine for all, except process flows. We could deploy all other objects as well.
    We have tried increasing JVM in run_service.sh and owbclient.sh files by increasing -Xmx, -Xmx and Dlimit. We increased as far as 2048M ( This is the max memory available on our server)
    We are using OWB version 10.2.0.2 and Oracle 10G over Linux. Did anyone of you face the same issue ? Please le us know the solution.
    Thanks
    Madhavi

    Hi Madhavi,
    Which locale language is shown in your OWB client configuration? We had this issue in previous versions (I haven't found it in this version, but I'm used to work with English since these previous versions) So we always adjust Preferences (Tools -> Preferences...) to see Appearance -> Locale -> English.
    Try to change the locale language if it's your case.

  • Get an java.lang.outofmemoryerror message during installation

    hey all!
    Since i have searched this forum regarding this problem, and didnt find a solution in an old posts i ask:
    I have tried to install oracle 9i on windows xp pro.
    everything was go ok , but in the part of trying to install the Oracle Configuration Assistant ,
    i got a java.lang.outofmemoryerror error , and now i canot create db with the wizard. as i searchd the forum i read a post claimed that maybe i have a lack of ram on my pc. i have 512mb. could that be the problem? could i try somthing else?
    thanks , yair

    RAM is very cheap. I would stick in at least 1GB on any PC these days, without even thinking about it. Even my Acer netbook came with 1GB of RAM, despite the entire machine costing less than US$300.
    That said, 512MB was supposed to be enough to install 9i, according to the installation criteria published at the time.
    I would suggest (failing a RAM upgrade), do a software-only installation and run DBCA to create a database as a separate exercise afterwards.
    Also make sure you're not running other stuff that would consume physical memory (eg, browsers, word processors, games, media players, desktop search engines, sidebars, anti-virus scanners, third party firewalls and the like) at the time you do the installation.
    And don't change any of the default memory suggestions the Database Configuration Assistant makes for you during that part of the process: messing about with those various memory pools can certainly cause fireworks if you aren't sure what you're doing.
    If you can upgrade your PC, I would also suggest you look to installing Oracle 10g rather than 9i: it's supported, at least, has long since been pushed off to the depths of ancient history...

  • Generation aborted with error null (java.lang.OutOfMemoryError)

    Hi
    I have model DC  and this DC is giving me error Generation aborted with error null (java.lang.OutOfMemoryError)
    I encounter the error as soon as I open project/DC in navigator.
    Error goes away as soon as I build my DC but reappears if I close and open my DC again.
    Any idea, how to deal with this?
    Regards
    Vineet

    Hi,
    can you please switch on the PDE Error Log View (window -- show view -- other -- PDE) and after error reproduction provide the relevant error here? Check also the ".log" file in the ".metadata" folder of your NWDS workspace.
    Further, please tell the version of your NWDS (help -- about).
    Does this error occur only if you expand the model node? Are other colleagues facing this issue, or reproducible on your end?
    Did you alter the file in your eclipse folder (on 700 this is vm.parameters, as of 7.1 it is SapNetweaverDeveloperStudio.ini) ?
    Thank you!

  • Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError when uploading CSV files to web server

    Hi experts,
    I have made a JSP page from which clients load csv files to web server. I am using Tomca 4.1 as my web server and JDK 1.3.1_09.
    The system works fine when uploadiing small csv files, but it crashes when uploading large CSV files.
    It gives me the following error:

    I know it may be hard to throw away all this code, but consider using the jakarta fileupload component.
    I think it would simplify your code down to
    // Create a factory for disk-based file items
    FileItemFactory factory = new DiskFileItemFactory();
    // Create a new file upload handler
    ServletFileUpload upload = new ServletFileUpload(factory);
    // Parse the request
    List /* FileItem */ items = upload.parseRequest(request);
    // Process the uploaded items
    Iterator iter = items.iterator();
    while (iter.hasNext()) {
        FileItem item = (FileItem) iter.next();
        if (item.isFormField()) {
            processFormField(item);
        } else {
            // item is a file.  write it
            File saveFolder = application.getRealPath("/file");
            File uploadedFile = new File(saveFolder, item.getName());
            item.write(uploadedFile);
    }Most of this code was hijacked from http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload/using.html
    Check it out. It will solve your memory problem by writing the file to disk temporarily if necessary.
    Cheers,

  • Deployment Error -- JSP Compilation Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError -- nu

    When I deploy WAR files with the precompile jsp option, I receive the following error:
    Deployment Error -- JSP Compilation Error: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError -- null
    Is there a way for me to precompile my jsp's without using this process? Once this blows up, the admin server gets hosed. This is very frustrating. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    You need little more memory :-), use java param -mx512M.
    You can adjust it in OC Server properties
    AS > OC4J_home(demo) > Server Properties
    section Multiple VM Configuration, Command Line Options
    Java Options: -mx512M

  • Servlet.service() Error. java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

    Hi All,
    I would be very grateful if you would draw some light for this error I got from running a online database connected image viewer (applet).
    The application is quite simple, applet connect to servlet, servlet send 3 SQL statements to MySQL and retrieve image info (Strings) and 50 Files (- JPEG image) from a online database, and then pass all of data to applet from servlet. The size of total of images is around 3.5 MB, and I've increased JVM memory to 128 MB by using code "-xmx128m".
    ? Do I need send images from servlet to applet individually rather than push them in one go
    ? Is there memory leak in my codes

    wire the code into a simple unit test, then run a profiler on it to see where the memory is going. You need the help of these kind of tools to track down memory issues, before that it is only guesswork what might be soaking it all up.

  • Please help me! Error message : java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

    Hello, I am a new learner on Java ME. I have done a simple shooting game in Java ME. I am using multiple threads on that and when I run the program in Sun Java Wireless Toolkit, the error message "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError" appear. May I know what is the cause of this problem? Is it because of too many threads running at the same time or ..? Any suggested solution on this? Thanks.

    Hello,
    I try to assign all class object as null, but the problem still there. My game has 3 stages. For example, after the first stage, I would like to clear the memory buffer like the heap memory, then only load the second stage. Otherwise, the memory may not enough when the stages increased. So, is there any other way to clear the buffer for garbage collection?
    In my game, it has a menu. The menu has the option like "New Game", "Help", "Exit". Whenever the game is start, the menu will add-in another option - "Continue", which will allows user back to the game and continue it.
    Everytime when I select "New Game", the game will start running, and when I press for menu, the game will pause automatically and then show the menu list. In this case, the game is still in the memory, but in paused state. If I choose "New Game" from the menu, it means it will restart a new game.
    My problem is that when I restart a new game, the heap memory still keeping the previous game. How could I delete the previous game's memory, so that whenever the new game is selected, the heap memory that store previous game would be cleared and the memory buffer will always store the current game only?

  • Serious system error while executing the query: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError

    From ALSB, we are trying to insert records in a table, by calling the ALDSP webservice. It is working fine when the xml (ie., given as input to the ALDSP webservice) is small. But facing the following error when the input xml size is large.
    <ALDSP> <BEA-000000> <Product> <Serious system error while executing the query:
    {ld:ABC/Test}createTest:1
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space
    We do not want to increase the heap size. Is there any other way we can solve this problem?

    In logical dataservice of ALDSP we have created a procedure called createTest, which is used to insert mulitple rows in the table. We have created a webservice for that logical DataService.
    Using the ALSB, we are calling the webservice -> createTest Operation and we are passing xml as input to that createTest function.
    Input xml:
    <ns1:createTest>
    <ns1:createTemps>
    <ns0:createTemp>
         <ns0:field1>1</ns0:field1>
              <ns0:field10>test1</ns0:field10>
    </ns0:createTemp>
    <ns0:createTemp>
         <ns0:field1>2</ns0:field1>
              <ns0:field10>test2</ns0:field10>
    </ns0:createTemp>
         </ns1:createTemps>
    </ns1:createTest>
    each ns0:createTemp represent a row that need to be inserted in the table.
    When the number of ns0:createTemp is less ( when the number of rows that need to be inserted is less) then no problem occurs, it is getting inserted properly. But when there are more number of ns0:createTemp then we are getting the following error
    <ALDSP> <BEA-000000> <Product> <Serious system error while executing the query:
    {ld:ABC/Test}createTest:1

    I heard that by changing some configuration values, we can resolve the problem (like adjusting -Xms & - Xmx parameters as well as the Max threads). But i don't know in which script/ tool should i find these settings to change.
    Could you please share your knowledge in this regard,
    Best regards,

    Hi
    You can change the XMX and thread  parameter in the Visual Administrator.
    Please refer to the link below:

    Well, if you're getting an out of memory exception then your memory settings are too low. Odds are there's a period of activity where the memory usage spikes above what you've configured for the VM.

    Hi,
    OBIEE 11g installing in Linux server now. domain creation is in progress for about an hour and in log I can see below error.

    domain creation is still running and looks like it is struck to start domain no idea how to solve the issue. waiting to see whether domain creation successful.
    I was searching on web and found below solution but no idea how to do it in Linux server. Please provide detail instructions to do it.

    at java.lang.Class.privateGetDeclaredConstructors(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Class.getConstructor0(Unknown Source)
    at java.lang.Class.getConstructor(Unknown Source)
    Solution: Increase the max permgen space -XX:MaxPermSize=256m
    There can be a leak in the permgen objects. If tuning parameters do not resolve the issue, we need to use the memory leak detector tools and find out which instances in the permgen space are not getting cleared.

    Appreciate for your help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    The script that configures the domain $DOMAIN_HOME/bin/setDomainEnv.sh... it should detect you are using JDK from Sun (JAVA_VENDOR="Sun") and add -XX:MaxPermSize=512m automatically...
    Simple solution, use JRockit... This problem only occurs with Sun JDK...
    Alternatively, add manually -XX:MaxPermSize=512m to the last JAVA_PROPERTIES in setDomainEnv.sh then you will be sure it is there...
    Cheers,
    Vlad
