Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:display
Hi All,
I am trying to call one C++ function using JNI call in java.I am able to load the dll using java code but when i trying to call the native method in java class its throws an error given below::
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError:display
and the dispaly is the native method inside my java class and which is exposed inside the dll.
My Code is Given Below::
*public class JNIInvocation {*+
* // Native method declaration*<br
* // Load the DLL from java.path.entry*
+* static {*+
* System.load("D:\\delfigoSecurity\\DLL\\delfigo.dll");*

You have completely ignored what [jschell has already told you|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?messageID=10670625#10670625].
1) i have created a .dll file out of my C++ code .The first step is to write a Java class with one or more native methods.
2)Then i am trying to load the .dll file usingThe second step is to compile that class and run javah on it.
The third step is to create a C or C++ file that includes the .h file created by javah, and fill in the implementations of the methods declared in the .h file.
The fourth step is to have those implementations call your existing C++ code.
The fifth step is to compile and link all that as a DLL.
The sixth step is to load that DLL as you are doing in your 2nd step.
So you are missing a large number of steps.
You need to have a look at the JNI documentation. At present you're just guessing. And ignoring what you've been told here. You'll never solve anything that way.

I am developing a web application that uses the Viewers SDK to display reports interactively. My application runs fine on a windows, but the following exception is thrown if I deploy it to Solaris:

On my code I am not even attempting to print anything, just open a report, like this:
ReportClientDocument reportClientDocument = new ReportClientDocument();
reportClientDocument.open("report.rpt" 0);
Any ideas what could be causing this? I am using the latest viewers SDK on java 1.5.0_12, Solaris 10 on Intel.
Thanks,
ArturThe Crystal Reports SDKs require loading the printer information since it uses the printer driver for report formatting.
It needs to do so - since only printers have the resolution required on computers to allow for fine resolution (default screen resolution leads to poor results).
Note that the exception is being thrown by the Java JVM:
sun.print.Win32PrintServiceLookup.getDefaultPrinterName(Native Method)
That's whacked, since on Solaris it should never be calling the Win32 version of the PrintServiceLookup.
Something strange is going on with your Java deployment on Solaris.
The Java PrintServer initialization is once only - are there anything in your app that explicitly refers to the Win32 version?

Help needed with JNI - java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
I need some help with JNI. I am running on Sun Solaris 7 using their CC compiler. I wrote a simple java program that calls a native method to get a pid. Everything work until I use cout or cerr. Can anyone help? Below is what I am working with.

The following is a re-posting of a thread regarding
UnsatisfiedLinkError issue. One author posted the workaround below.
That workaround was posted multiple times by mistake, and the
author asked Moderator to delete the extra posting.
An operating error caused the topic to be deleted instead of
the individual messages. I am reposting the content of the thread,
and apologize to the authors who participated in this thread
before.
Workaround :
I experienced the same issue when I tried to install Flex on
a new Vista system. Here's how I corrected it:
1) Navigate to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Flex Builder 2\plugins
2) Look for the file
"org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.1.2.jar". You will need to open
this in a file compression program such as WinRar or WinZip. If you
don't have such a program you can try:
2a) Copy (make sure you COPY, not MOVE) the file to another
location, such as your desktop.
2b) Rename the file with a ".zip" extension (i.e. change
".jar" to ".zip"). NOTE: You will not see the file extension if
your system is configured to hide extensions. In this case, open a
Windows Explorer window ("My Computer", etc.) and press the "Alt"
key. A menu bar will appear. Select "Tools -> Folder Options".
Select the "View" tab, and look for "Hide extensions for known file
types". Uncheck the box, then click OK.
2c) You should now be able to right-click the file and use
Vista's built-in .zip extraction to extract the contents to a
folder.
3) Within the org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.1.2.jar file
is a file called "swt-win32-3139.dll". Copy this file to
C:\Windows\System32\ (You will be asked for a confirmation when you
do this).
Once that is done, Flex should run correctly. You can now
delete the copy of the .jar file that you made, as well as the
folder created by Vista's .zip extraction (if applicable).
Hope this helps!

Hi
I have installed JasperAssistant in eclipse 3.2.2. But I am getting the following the error when I am trying to view the reports through the application. This error found only after the installation. Earlier I used to view the reports through the Eclipse.

Could you please help me asap.
I tried some of the alternatives found in the web.
1. Changed the VM arguments: -Djava.library.path=${system:ECLIPSE_HOME}/plugins/org.eclipse.swt.win32_3.0.1/os/win32/x86
2. Set the environment variable PATH to the location of the dll.
But this doesn't work.
Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.Maybe you can report this to the makers of JasperAssistant or Eclipse. I think they are in a better position to help you since they made that plugin.

Java.lang.UnSatisfiedLinkError resolution
I just posted this as a question, and just retracted it because I've found the solution just now.
I was receiving this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: D:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_04\jre\bin\JD2XX.dll: The specified procedure could not be found
at java.lang.ClassLoader$NativeLibrary.load(Native Method)

at nostalgia.MainFrame.openmyserialport(MainFrame.java:452)
at nostalgia.MainFrame.<init>(MainFrame.java:71)
at nostalgia.Main.main(Main.java:38)
JD2XX is a JNI for another dll file, specifically ftd2xx.dll.
It turns out that the ftd2xx.dll was not in D:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.6.0_04\jre\bin\ and this error was displayed as a result.
What is really frustrating is that the error no place mentioned that the failure to find ftd2xx.dll was the actual problem.
This was all working perfectly prior to upgrading from Netbeans 6.01 -> Netbeans 6.1. I think during the upgrade process my project settings/netbeans paths got screwed up. Or perhaps I switched JDKs/JREs and as a result my DLL wasn't in the new directory.
I would have deleted this post, but I'm not sure that is possible. Maybe someone else googling with the same problem will find their answer here.
Thanks
Keith
P.S. It's funny that once you explain your problem to someone else, sometimes the answer becomes obvious.
Edited by: keithjava on Nov 8, 2008 9:15 AMFor what it's worth, I know you can execute the yum install command for all your pre-requisite installations for OID 11g on unix, though not sure for OID 10g though. Maybe it's worth giving it a try?

But the problem is, this is my computer, but the computers that I am going to run my actual

do the work without ldconfig. I mean is there anyway I can configure my .so file's path without
copying it into the /usr/lib folder and without ldconfig?
I will appreciate any reply. Thanks. -
Hi all,
I have written a simple code to connect to Oracle9i in WindowsXP.
Oracle is installed and running on Linux machne on the Intranet.
I have set 'classes12.jar' in classpath and placed following dlls in "C:\WINDOWS\system32" path
ocijdbc9.dll
ocijdbc9_g.dll
heteroxa9.dll
heteroxa9_g.dll
Following is the part of code:
public String dbName = new String("jdbc:oracle:oci8:username/password@sid_192.168.0.128");
public String dbClassName = new String("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver");
Class.forName(dbClassName);
conection = DriverManager.getConnection(dbName);
statement = conection.createStatement();
When I run this code got following errors:
java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ocijdbc9.dll: Can't find dependent libraries

Please guide me, what I am missing? Thanks in advance...There are only a very very few and rare good reasons to use the oci8 driver with Java (and I can't remember any of them at the moment). Performance is not one of them. If at all possible, you should use the Type IV (thin) driver instead.
The classes12.jar (or zip) is for use with Java 1.2 and 1.3. There are different versions of this jar for each version of the database, but they're fundamentally cross-compatible; all the post-8i drivers are supposed to work with all the post-8i databases (and the 8i stuff also mostly works too). There's been a succession of bug fixes and minor functional changes, as well as some very substantial perfromance improvements. If you are developing brand-new code, I very stongly encourage you to use the very latest driver (currently 10.2.0.1, I think). If you are using a Java version greater than 1.3, then you should use the ojdbc14.jar instead (and don't try to use both classes12.jar and ojdbc14.jar, they have the sameclasses in them). I think the 10.2.0.1 ojdb14.jar was the first one certified for Java 1.5, and it's significantly faster than the 9i drivers. Anyone considering an upgrade of drivers should plan to do a good regression test; as mentioned before, there are some very small functional differences. You can download the latest drivers here:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/java/sqlj_jdbc/index.html
If you insist on using oci, then you probably need to do an Oracle client installation on your Windows box. If you stay with the 9i driver, the full client install is huge; however, you can almost certainly use the 10g "Instant Client", which is a pared-down version, with just the minimal stuff to support an application. That's available here:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/instantclient/instantclient.html -

Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError.Can't find dependent libraries
Hello,
I call in an applet a library "ezmodJava.dll" in order to execute a native method. It works very well in my computer (Windows 98). I've put "ezmodJava.dll" and a dependent library "ezmod.dll" in directory C:\Windows. That works very well.
Now , i try to run the applet in a station(Windows XP) (in a network). I've installed the libraries "ezmodJava.dll" and "ezmod.dll" in C:\windows, but it doesn't work. I've put them in C:\windows\system and in C:\windows\system32 but no way. The last error i had IS :

Any help will be appreciated. Thank you too much.on your computer you might have multiple copies of the dll. try temporarily renaming the dll...then run the program. if it runs, you know you have another copy somewhere. do a search and find the extra copy...rename it and run your program. your program should fail then and you will find which directory your program is looking in for the dll.

Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError in Eclipse 3.2.1
Deal all,
sorry for the basic question, i met the following error when i try to use swing through swt , "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-win32-3235 in java.library.path"
and i already add "org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.2.1.v3225.jar" in "Java build path"
so how can i handle this ?
thank you in advance!I had same problem with using jdeveloper 10.1.3.1.0. I extracted the reported dll files from org.eclipse.swt.win32.win32.x86_3.2.1.v3235.jar and put the them in ..\jdk\bin that my jdeveloper runs and the problem got resolved

Jar file issue. EXCEPTION: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError
Hey all,
i'm writing an application that connects to Oracles SCM. I use a lot of the oracle SCM library. Anyway, my application running in oracles jDeveloper works just fine. However when i deploy it to an executable jar file i get the above exception. In the deployment settings i have tried both using the dependency analyzer and including all content. I have selected all libraries that are used in running it within jdeveloper for the deployment. I have posted to the SCM forumn but noone there has any ideas so just wondering if its a problem with jdeveloper or if its just something stupid i've done.
find the below the full exception im getting when i run the executable jar file. i'd appreciate any ideas/suggestions anyone may have
cheers
paul

http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/native1.1/stepbystep/_library.html
And this is the home page of Java Native Interface (JNI) API:

I have tried putting my executable jar in the same folder as
this dll and including the dll in my path but both to no avail.Again: you mix binary code and JVM byte code. They are loaded
differently and located differently. classpath means nothing for the binary code.
"The Win32 VM uses a search path that includes the current directory for the process or one of the directories listed in the PATH environment variable"
The DLL may be either in the folder where the application (the JRE/JDK) runs, that is where java.exe is, or some other directory on the system PATH (according to the PATH system variable). -
Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError + servlets
Hi,
While accessing JNI methods thru Servlets, am getting java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError.
Am I missing on some configuration/deployement steps. Please let me know your thoughts.
NHi,
Thanks for the response.
This is a very peculiar problem. Here, I am able to load the native library by using System.loadlibrary("");
Invocation of this method goes thru fine without any issues i.e. no exception is thrown.
But the above mentioned exception is thrwon while invoking any of the native methods present in that libray.
Any inputs ???

I see several possibilities.
1. What you are trying to load is not a shared library.
2. The shared library is compiled incorrectly to match the process space of the VM. There can be any number of causes for this.
Note that the word width mismatch strongly suggests the second.
You should start by forgetting weblogic entirely. Write a simple java app and using an explicit path in the load() method, not loadLibrary(), get it to load. Until it works there it you have no chance in weblogic.
