Java Memory error for applprod

Hi,
I have strange problem. I am running "Create accounting" program and it errors out with the error message
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
Could not create the Java virtual machine.
I have sun SPARC servers, with 16GB RAM, 38 GB SWAP WITH 12.1.1 and 11.1.0.7
So following the note

The funny thing is
when i run the command java -Xmx2048M -version it works fine on root and oraprod. But when i run in applprod it throws the same error

If i run java with 1024M it works fine as follows

Hi Hussein,
I created another user test1 of group dba and ran java -Xmx2048M -version. It worked with out error.
Then i found the only difference between test1 and applprod is ulimit -s set to unlimited in applprod but not set in test1
I removed ulimit -s unlimited for applprod the executed
java -Xmx2048M -version
it worked fine.
But i guess ulimit -s unlimited is a pre-requisite for running R12 in solaris??
What shoud i do
Please suggest.

Java compile error for removed API

Hi,
What are the Java compile errors for API that has been removed?
As I understand it, API elements are deprecated and not removed from the API immediately, but will be removed in future releases or after so many years.
When Java code is compliled in a higher Java version, and the API has finally been removed - what are the errors that will be ouput in the log?

@OP: In general, you should not catch unchecked exceptions. These are RuntimeException, Error, and their descendants. There are exceptions, such as at "layer boundaries," or when you don't want errors in one module/application/plugin/etc. to affect or prevent processing in others.

Out of memory error for large recordings:

Hi,
My workflow process takes input as a list. It loops through the workflow for all the items in the list. If my list contain 4 items, there will be 3*7= 21 steps when I invoke the process. I can able to check my recordings for debugging.
If I give 5 inputs, It takes around 5*7 = 35 steps in the workflow. If I try to play the recording, i see the error: java heap space: Out of memory exception. I changed my space to Xmx1024m in workbench.ini. I also did: java -Xms<initial heap size> -Xmx<maximum heap size> (Q1: do we need to restart the JBoss after we do the second step? ).
Q2: My system is Windows7 with 4GB RAM. I have liveCycle 8.2 with SP2. JBoss & MySql. Do I need to set this java RAM size in any of our JBoss server files?
Q3: Is there any file to set the maximum permissible steps for a process recording? If so, please let me know. It would be a great help.

If the size of the documents you are adding as input are very large this could result in OOM errors so that is something to consider.
Some other things to try are as follows:
1. Increase memory allocated by JBoss by another 200 - 300 M as per the following documentation on the web:

I would suggest increasing your maxNumberOfRecordingEntries to about 200.

Perhaps Oracle support doesn't want to here this, but the best information for OCJ4 is available either by scanning the mailing list at www.orionserver.com or looking at www.orionsupport.com - a site developed by users of Orion with no actual association with the vompany. I've been working with the app-server for over a year now and have certainly been frustrated at the lack of documentation - and of course Oracle hasn't improved it. Oracle should have spent much more time training their technical staff before giving it to the marketing chumps to run with. I believe that the move of Oracle and Orion is a good one from a technical perspective however - I am over the major bump in the Orion learning curve and I absolutely love the product - but I'm not sure that the Oracle staff are over that (what can be) tough first part of the curve. Hopefully they are all hunkered down with Karl and Magnus from Orion trying to learn all the required stuff.

I tried running expdp multiple times every time I will get out of memeory error along with different oracle errors, but the common error is out of memory ora -04030.
In above case I got this error along with ORA-39125 and sometimes I will get with

ORA-39029: worker 1 with process name "DW01" prematurely terminated
ORA-31671
I searched forums and found lot options but not for expdp utility.
Can some one please help in resolving this issue.

when i was ready for installing apps. from nokia store, 99mb was free but show only 2mb left plz select another derive for install why...???? after 2 days the memory was clear seen 97.6mb free what may be the error on mobile.......!!!!!! plz reply or help us.bring new SW update fixing this type of problem.................!

If you run Nokia's File Manager, how much free space does that show? 2 MB free or 97+ MB free? If the error appears only with the Nokia Store, then it could be a bug. I don't use the Ovi Store/Nokia Store app often, but installed the 1.16 update with the new name a few days ago. I just tried downloading and installing a game on my E73, and that worked fine. If the problem is only with the Store app, maybe you could try removing and reinstalling it?

JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.0 Java Memory errors

I have been developing an ADF Application that contains a tree component that is used for navigation of a BOM structure. The BOM is not that large only 600 or so records and when I am testing for short intervals I have no problems. When the application is run for extended periods 15-20mins in both the embeded oc4j container and the Application server 10.1.3.4.0, it runs out of memory and in the case of the application server the instance is restarted.
I have tried to limit records retrieved, increase heap memory to ridiculous sizes (1024MB), configure the AM pooling settings and still this occurs. I guess I have memory leak or something but I tried to use JDeveloper debug functions to isolate and cannot find. Does anyone know how I can make the app release memory and stop restarting the application server? Any tips on how to find memory leaks?

This issue had to do with a known bug in the Java Hotspot sever and updating the version of Java to 1.5.0_17-b04 resolved this issue.

Java script error for Drilldown in Web Template

Hi
We are using a 3.x Web Template derived from the standard 0QUERY_TEMPLATE to run the web reports.
In this during the report execution the drilldown (or remove drilldown) for any characteristic is not working, it just shows some error in the status bar of the browser and the drilldown feature can be seen only when we refresh the browser.
However the same Web Template is working fine for the reports when transported to some other system.
Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem in this case? Is it related to Java stack or any other configuration for the server where the template is failing?

a. it could be an access issue with mime repository ...
also when you execute the teplate in IE - it will display a warning at the bottom and on double clicking the same you will see the javascript error.
If it is something like "Object Expected" or something like that then you can look at taking out the .js file from the target system and moving the same into your dev system....

Memory Error for OVI Store in C5-03

Wen ever i try 2 install an app using OVI Store on my C5-03...It keeps saying " Memory full..plz,close some apps & try again "

Try removing unwanted apps from your phone memory and keep it as free as possible. The memory low message is due to low RAM and sadly there hasn't been a complete solution for that. Before going into Ovi store clean your browser cache or reboot your phone and try downloading apps.

How to fix java runtime error for 10.7.2

I have a MacBook pro and with Lion OS 10.7.2 and I am getting a message from Java Script "You will need the latest Java(TM) Runtime Environment to print our coupons. Would you like to update now?"
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

That's not a problem with OSX Lion, it is an issue with that particular website (we've seen this before). It's not working with the Mac very well, and there's nothing you can do about it. Sorry.
