  • MBAM 2.5 Monitoring and administration website

    I am installing MBAM 2.5 integrated with SCCM 2012. Reporting services point is working on SCCM Server.
    When installing monitoring and administration website reporting url is not working
    I am providing
    http://sccmserver/reportserver
    I have already ran SCCM integration on SCCM server

    Can you validate my suggestion?  In the MBAM Server Configuration Wizard, you need to select the Reports feature.  Once that is installed, the URL you have for the report server should work.
     (http://yourssrsserver/reportserver).  Note, depending on where you installed the reports feature, the URL on the admin and monitoring config page could be the same server as CM or a different server.
    However, the url should end in reportserver unless you customized it.

  • Develop application for java  Monitoring and Management

    hi
    i would like to develop an application that enables me to monitor and manage Java applications and instead of using jconsole ormc4j
    please can you tell mz how to start

    The various general JMX clients such JConsole, [MC4J|http://mc4j.org/confluence/display/mc4j/Home] (the tool referenced with "or mc4j" above), VisualVM, and jManage all use the same approach for remote JMX management that you can use ([JSR 160|http://jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=160]).
    Some useful resources include the [Java Tutorial on JMX Remote Management|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/jmx/remote/index.html], [Remote JMX: Connectors and Adapters|http://marxsoftware.blogspot.com/2008/08/remote-jmx-connectors-and-adapters.html], and [Remote JMX: With and Without Spring and Proxies|http://marxsoftware.blogspot.com/2008/06/remote-jmx-with-and-without-spring-and.html] (focus on non-Spring clients with and without proxies).

  • ALSB monitoring and administration

    Hi all,
    Is there a way of monitoring the proxy services instances at runtime. i'm looking for an option where in i will be able to dig into a particular instance and see how the message flows between each node and where the error occured.
    in development mode i can use the console, but how to monitor the instances in production? i want to see the entire flow and auditing.
    Thanks,
    PreethaV.

    i think this option again gives handle only to high-level info of the services. i have a requirement wherein i have to walk thru the instances at runtime, to find out what info has flowed in to the services and what path has been taken.
    in Production few of the instances(request from client to proxy) are not running into completion, how do i spot out where exactly the error has occured for those particular instances?
    Thanks,
    PreethaV.

  • Administration differences between an As Java system and an As ABAP system?

    Hi, I'm not that familiar with SAP systems that are As Java based only, so apologies in advance if I ask real stupid questions here!!
    Can someone please explain how one logs onto an As Java only system?... ie without the ABAP stack does one still use the SAP logon pad or am I getting confused here totally???
    Also how does one do transports in an As Java system?
    If you could send me a document that explains the main differences between an As ABAP system and an As Java system, particularly the differences in administrating these systems that would be very useful. My email address is [email protected]
    Many thanks
    Ash

    Hi,
    Can someone please explain how one logs onto an As Java only system?.
    You can login through browser, use NetWeaver Administrator for most of your activities. There is also Visual Administrator/ Config tool etc these have seperate GUIs.
    It would not be easy to list out the options but i suggest you read understand info from help regarding the details below so that you can administer Java servers:
    Visual Administrator
    NetWeaver Administrator
    Config tool.
    SDM
    With the knowledge of the tools above you can start of administrating Java servers.
    Also how does one do transports in an As Java system?
    You install Portal on Java server and then do transports. You should be having a system administration role.
    Please do a search in help.sap.com and you will find loads of data on WEBAS Java administration.
    Thanks & regards,

  • Development and administration methodology

    Hi,
    I am looking for information about portal development and administration methodology (How to manage the PCD, iViews, Roles, user groups, etc... ?)
    Any personal experiance tips and suggestions will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Elad.

    Hi Elad,
    I think a good start is help.sap.com. Take a look at the following URLs.
    Portal Administration Guide:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/34/76bd3b6e74d708e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/21/82a9058fa8de46b1ba7522289345b2/frameset.htm
    Depending on your personal strenght you can do your portal development in e.g. HTMLB jof JAVA. You'll find some infos on that here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/fd/01f34026d70b06e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
    http://www.sapdesignguild.org/resources/htmlb_guidance/index.html
    Or you can try out some Visual Composer stuff. Take a look at this URL:

    If you are more into ABAP you can of course try out the latest WebDynpro for ABAP but this works only for NW 2004s. You'll find a lot of information here on SDN. Look at the current frontpage!

  • Doubt about JAVA stack and ABAP Stack

    Good day!
    Hope can help me with my next doubt. I understood that BI JAVA or JAVA has been embedded in the Java support package stack for portal. But for BI7 the installation for JAVA is by sps. We only use pure support package for BI7, we don't use support package stacks and we don't use JAVA. I'm not sure because i don't made the sap installation in our enterprise, how can i be sure if we have installed java in BI7 and if we don´t have installed, should I install Java in our sap system? what are the benefits and consequences if I decide install it? and what is the difference about BI java (portals) and JAVA stack for BI7?
    I try to find some information but I found some information  about bi Java for portals, but not for BI.
    Ramón Sánchez

    Hai,
    BI-7.0,JAVA:BI-Java is used to provide the Java runtime for scenarios such as Enterprise Reporting, Query, and Analysis as well as Business Planning and Analytical Services.BI-Java requires AS Java and Enterprise Portal Core and EP in the same system. Optionally, you can combin with other usage types in one system. Usually, scenarios running on usage type BI-Java also require usage types BI and AS ABAP. While installing BI-Java, AS Java, EPC and EP get installed automatically. Usually, when running on usage type BI-Java also require usage types BI and AS ABAP, you should be aware that no matter if you run BI and BI-Java in the same or in separate systems, both BI and BI -JAVA should be kept in sync in terms of Support Package Stacks.
    BW 7.0 is now called as BI 7.0. There are many differences between them in areas like extraction, EDW, reporting, analysis administration,etc.,
    http://www.ittestpapers.com/articles/987/2/SAP-BI-70-Features/Page2.html
    Advantage of having Double stack Instance: Where AS ABAP provides the complete technology and infrastructure to run ABAP applications and AS JAVA provides Java Enterprise Edition environment for developing and running Java programs.

  • Difference java stack and abap stack

    hello experts,
                          Difference between java stack and abap stack

    Hi
    ABAP Stack
    The application data in the SAP system is accessed in
    the ABAP stack via platform-independent ABAP programs.
    ABAP stack is used to run ERP applications mainly MM,SD,FICO etc
    Currently in most of the installation you can found mixed stack(ABAP+JAVA)
    JAVA Stack
    The Java side of the SAP Web AS is often referred to as SAPWeb AS Java or
    as the Java stack.
    This central SAP Web AS Java instance consists of two separate
    instances plus one special application, the Software Deployment Manager (SDM).
    These two separate instances that build the central SAP Web AS Java instance are
    a standard SAP Web As Java instance, offering a Java dispatcher process and one
    or more Java server processes and the so-called SAP Central Services instance
    (SCS). The SCS instance offers two processes, exclusively used by the Java side
    of the SAP Web AS: the enqueue services and the message service. These two
    services only work for the Java side of the SAP system.
    Java Stack is mainly used for SAP Portals and you can host Internet/Web based application written in JSP/EJB ,Java Stack uses Java Threads to run application,
    Also, Xi requires Double stack
    ABAP + JAVA Stacks
    Bcoz some components are developed on JAVA
    Some components are developed on ABAP Based.
    JAVA:
    Integration Builder
    SLD
    Adapter Engine
    Runtime Workbench
    ABAP:
    BPE
    Integration Engine
    Integration Engine and the Integration server reside on the ABAP Stack. All the Execution of the IS part will be done on ABAP Stack. we can monitor the processed XML messages also in SXMB_MONI( ABAP Stack)
    Adapter Engine will reside on the JAVA Stack. All the IR, ID, SLD, RWB Application are developed on JAVA Stack, so thats why we need JAVA Webstart to run these Applications
    All the Adapter related Errors we can see in RWB, Communication channel monitoring( Developed and sits on JAVA stack)
    Hope this clears your doubts
    Thanks
    Saiyog

  • Message Monitoring and Web services Sequences  .. SOAMANAGER

    When can I use Mesage Monitoring and Sequence Monitoring .
    We are making a proof a concept and we are the following.
    1. A program which executes a proxy and with this proxy we are consuming a web services.
    2. The proxy and web services were implemented in the same Abap Machine .
    3. We execute the test and everything works very well and we consume the webservice and the program displays the expected result.
    Now want to know How can we use the Message Monitoring and the Sequence Monitoring . Is this posible ? Do we have to make any previous configuration?
    We don´t have any XI installation and for that we wonder if we can monitorize the  webservices  sequences ?
    Any idea about if we can realize such king of actions ..
    Many Thanks

    Hi
    I assumes u have dual stack.
    You can do the sequence monitoring with or without PI. But without PI you would achieve that thing on the local machine.
    You have to do those things at Java End using SAP NWA.

  • Differnet Charting behaviour between Java 7 and Java 8

    Hi I've developed an application with charts in Java FX and Java 7. Everything works fine, but now I've tested it with Java 8. There I can see, that something must have changed in the way a chart wil be painted.
    The following code will describe the problem. Execute it with Java 7 and Java 8 and you will see what I mean.
    package linechartsample;
    import javafx.application.Application;
    import javafx.scene.Scene;
    import javafx.scene.chart.AreaChart;
    import javafx.scene.chart.LineChart;
    import javafx.scene.chart.NumberAxis;
    import javafx.scene.chart.XYChart;
    import javafx.stage.Stage;
    public class LineChartSample extends Application {
    @Override
    public void start(Stage stage) {
    stage.setTitle("Line Chart Sample");
    final NumberAxis xAxis = new NumberAxis();
    final NumberAxis yAxis = new NumberAxis();
    xAxis.setLabel("Month");
    final LineChart<Number, Number> lineChart = new LineChart<Number, Number>(
    xAxis, yAxis);
    lineChart.setTitle("Stock Monitoring");
    lineChart.setCreateSymbols(false);
    XYChart.Series series1 = new XYChart.Series();
    series1.setName("Portfolio 1");
    series1.getData().add(new AreaChart.Data(1, 10));
    series1.getData().add(new AreaChart.Data(2, 20));
    series1.getData().add(new AreaChart.Data(3, 10));
    series1.getData().add(new AreaChart.Data(2, 5));
    series1.getData().add(new AreaChart.Data(1, 10));
    Scene scene = new Scene(lineChart, 800, 600);
    lineChart.getData().addAll(series1);
    StringBuilder builder = new StringBuilder();
    // builder.append("-fx-stroke: ");
    // builder.append("#");
    // builder.append(Integer.toHexString(115));
    // builder.append(Integer.toHexString(115));
    // builder.append(Integer.toHexString(115));
    // builder.append(Integer.toHexString(100));
    builder.append("-fx-fill: ");
    builder.append("#");
    builder.append(Integer.toHexString(215));
    builder.append(Integer.toHexString(115));
    builder.append(Integer.toHexString(115));
    builder.append(Integer.toHexString(100));
    series1.getNode().setStyle(builder.toString());
    stage.setScene(scene);
    stage.show();
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    launch(args);
    What happens here in Java 8???
    Additionally I've tried to draw a simple AreaChart with a series of negative values. In Java 7 the area between the line and the X-Axis will be filled. In java 8 the area between the line and the bottom of the chart will be filled. Are there any new properties which have to set to draw it in the correct way? I've checked it with the stackedAreaChart. Here everything is fin in Java7 and Java8.
    Can somebody explain me that change in the behaviour of the charts in JavaFX 8?? Or is this a Bug??
    Kind regards

    Your code is really weird.
    Applying a fill to the line path in a line chart is a strange thing to do.  Usually a line chart is for drawing lines not filled areas.  For filled areas, JavaFX has an AreaChart.
    Setting multiple y values for a given x value in a series is also a very strange thing to do.  Usually for a LineChart plot, the x values in the series are unique.
    I haven't tried your code on Java 7 as I don't have Java 7 installed and your code doesn't really seem like a valid test case to me anyway.  That your code got you a result you wanted in Java 7 would be more a fluke than anything else, I would guess.
    For your area chart question, please ask that as a separate question with reproducible source code and test case.
    If you really think there are bugs or regressions in JavaFX, then report them in the bug tracker after running your tests on the latest development JDK at: https://jdk8.java.net/download.html

  • Oracle 11g SE One Performance Monitoring and Tuning

    I've recently "downgraded" a couple databases from Enterprise Edition to Standard Edition One and in doing so lost the use of Grid Control, specifically Performance Pack. Now, of course, monitoring and tuning, is a bit more cumbersome.
    Can anyone offer advice on methods specific to Standard Edition One for monitoring/tuning databases? Specific SQL statements you use, 3rd party software, built-in packages in the database that can be used?

    There are a large number of performance views that can be queried, and if you capture the current values, wait a known amount of time (whether 1 minute or an hour) and then recapture the current values, you can determine by how much the statistics have changed over the time period. Do not query the views that begin with either "DBA_HIST_" or "DBA_ADVISOR_", since those views belong to the extra cost licenses that are only available with the Enterprise Edition (access to the views is audited).
    You could, for instance, track the changes in the time model statistics, and use that as a basis to determine if anything else should be examined. It would probably also make sense to track the changes in the various non-idle wait events. If you have a Windows client PC, you can experiment with one of the scripts that I wrote which tracks changes to the time model statistics, changes to the OS statistics, and changes to the wait events:
    http://hoopercharles.wordpress.com/2010/02/09/working-with-oracle%e2%80%99s-time-model-data-3/
    If you do not have a Windows client PC, you might be able to determine how the script works and build your own solution.
