Java not loading up in firefox 15.0.1 but says is installed
I had to re-install Firefox 15.01 because I some issues with new fire Fox 16.01. When I re-installed Firefox and kept my currents profile, I had to re-install Java.
I installed both the 32 bits and 64 versions, Java show it is installed but none of the test are working.
Somebody else from here a few months ago had me go into the Firefox config for the plugin and had me turn something on.. I wish I made notes or took screen shot at least of what I had to do, But I forget what I had to do to get Java to work again with Firefox.
I do not remember what it was but currently Java is not loading up,
Even though I have UN-installed -reinstalled twice now and with no success.
Could somebody please help me please. I have browse forms and searched goggle but so far I have not found a solution to this problem.. I think it was known bug/issue with firefox 15.x
http://www.cis.upenn.edu/~matuszek/General/JavaVersionTests/JavaTests.html
none these are working.
Even basic Java test from there home page is not working..

Ok here is my situation. I am a CSA for my place of work.
We are using XP and the computers use profiles to log in.
JAVA JRE is intalled on the machines.
There is a JAVA based website we use for work. If a new user login's into the computer and once the profile is created and they try to use the site that is required for work they get the Java not installed correctly error.
If we run the offline java to fix the error then all the profiles can use JRE just fine. But when ever a new user logs in and a profile is created then that new user gets errors about JRE not properly installed.
I am wondering if this is just a error some where with the registry for the profile not knowing where to look for the JRE ??
Any help would be appreciated.
V/r
StretchNone of the users have administrator rights at all.
We have an administrator load JRE to the whole machine, when the new user logs in for the first time you can go and see that java is installed but when that new user goes to the java based site it doesn't start up. -
Java not loading in FIrefox... ever!!!
I am currently using Windows Vista and Firefox 3.0.11.
For some reason Java applets or any pages running Java applications will not load. Instead, FF freezes up, "whites out", and I get the error "Firefox has stopped working" with the option to "Close the Program". I've tried re-installing both FF and Java to no avail. I even copied the "np" files from Java's "bin" folder into FF's "plugins" folder. I have also ran FF as administrator, but that did not solve the problem. When I checked FF's plugins, all Java related plugins are of the same version, so it is not an issue of outdated add-ons. One thing I have noticed is that when I had Windows XP, Java loaded properly in FF (and it even came with "Java Quick Starter 1.0"). Now, with Vista (and no JQS), Java does not work in FF. I've tried several solutions and have done all the googling in the world.
With all of these FF/Java related issues, I'd think Microsoft purposely sabotaged their rival browser, because Java works perfectly in Internet Explorer 8. It's just that I prefer FF better than IE8, and no Java has been very irritating.
Please help. Any more solutions are appreciated.Hey man,
If I'd had that problem and done things that you'd done and seen no results. I'd delete FF again but this time fully - clean the registry as well. Then I'd remove java environment and everything related to it, sdk, jre etc...Reboot the PC and reinstall the newest version of FF, then download the latest versions of java platforms, sdk etc... and reinstall the as well.
Hope this helps,

Triggers vs Java (not loaded)
Hi all
I made trigger calling procedure which should pass Database Table ID
to Java. I made it with loaded java e.g. as JAVA SOURCE in Database
but still I have to pass this ID to Application which has to reside on Server and not whole in DB.
Is there some other more suitable technique to do so?
I'd like to that to all who reply I think this forum is really the best regarding response
and help.
NedIf I understand correctly you want to capture a value in a trigger and pass it along to an internal database java routine. Sounds like a sound approach to me, provided it does what you want it to do. This is probably as good a forum for your question as any.
I a bit dubious about storing Java in the database but others here disagree. If its something that works for you then its probably a good approach.
I don't understand what you mean by "pass this ID to Application which has to reside on Server and not whole in DB" though. -
Java not loading with Safari after updates
Recently, following security updates, Java applets that have
previously functioned fine do not any more. This is true for
Safari 2.0.3 (and in fact for Firefox 1.5); however, the applets
do load and function with Opera 5.
Looking at the Installed Plug-Ins list in Safari shows
Java 1.3.1 Plug-in (CFM) — from file “Java Applet Plugin Enabler”.
Java Switchable Plug-in (Cocoa) — from file “JavaPluginCocoa.bundle”
Java 1.3.1 Plug-in — from file “Java Applet.plugin”
What is odd to me is that I have done the Software updates for
Java 1.4.2 and for Java 5.0. In addition in
/Applications/Utilities/Java/
we find, amongst other things,
/Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/Java Cache Viewer.app:
/Applications/Utilities/Java/J2SE 5.0/Java Preferences.app:
/Applications/Utilities/Java/Java 1.3.1 Plugin Settings.app
/Applications/Utilities/Java/Java 1.4.2 Plugin Settings.applist
I have run all three settings applications; set them I hope
correctly; and had no satisfaction. None of the three caches shows
any content now.
I have recently removed ~/Library/Caches/Java* anyway.
I have deleted and reinstalled Safari from the distribution disc.
I have updated it (and whatever else gets treated at that time) with
the 10.4.6 Combo Updater. I've installed the Java updates 1.4.2 and
1.5 (i.e. J2SE 5.0) separately too. Actually I've carried out such steps
as mentioned more than once.
All the above to no avail. Java applets just don't load any more. Equally
annoying is that I have no mental picture of what ought to be
happening, nor any clue as to where to acquire one.
Please, could anyone help with the practical aspect of getting the
applets going again?
As well, I would much appreciate being pointed to any good
explanations of what ought to be going on.
iMac 4,1; Mac OS X (10.4.6)
Safari 2.0.3; Java 1.3.1; Java 1.4.2; J2SE 5.0Indeed I did the installations in a good order, and the applets were in
no way incompatible with the latest Java. However, as a result
of the update, or in some way or other that I am unaware of (including
the possibility that I did it myself, but had forgotten it) I was running
Safari 2.0.3 under Rosetta. Apparently this is 'well known' to stop the Java
applet service. I did not know this, and I found the possibility by
serendipity from a search on the discussion forums for 'Safari and
Java applet'.
The message that was key for me was
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1967571
where it was remarked
"The problem was that I was running Safari under - Rosetta. Turning off Rosetta made the problem go away."
So ignorant was I of what this meant that I floundered about a bit,
getting all the advertising hype about how wonderful Rosetta would
be or was, before I got the tip from my own machine's Help that I could
turn it off by unchecking a box in the GetInfo dialogue box for a program.
Indeed I found that 'Open using Rosetta' was checked for Safari. Removing
the Rosetta requirements means Java applets run again for me.
I don't see the Java plugins 1.4.2 and 1.5 in the
'Safari>Help>Installed Plug-Ins'
window where the 1.3.1 version appeared before. But I do have
a Java Console window and it mentions 1.4.2, which I selected as
preferred in complying with the last suggestion offered me.
I note with interest that the last thing I did before the penny finally
dropped was to get the latest version of WebKit and try that. Java
applets do not work there, and Rosetta requirements have never been
On!
I suppose I can now turn to getting Firefox working with Java applets.
It still does not: there is no special indication of this except that the
area where the applet output should be is left blank.
SO: If applets don't work, check early that you haven't selected
'Open using Rosetta' for the program Safari. It might be the easy
answer to the problem. -
Java update runs and goes through the whole install with out error messages...but look in control panel and there is no java icon.
have tried older version of the java runtime and the most current one still nothing....
Anyone have any ideas on this?
System is windows xp.it is in the browser.....I have tried other browser
firefox and does the same thing....it is like the
system is not fully installing the java program. If it is in the browser and it is not a Java Web Start app then I am almost 100% sure that it has nothing to do with how Java is installed on your system. The browser has Java built into it.
I would suggest you to update your browser. -
After using Firefox successfully for months, it started not loading full pages today, but showing "done" in the status bar at the bottom. I also noticed icons for Javascript, Java, Silverlight, etc., on the right side of status bar, JAVA one is red, but I don't know what that means.

"Java Virtual Machine not loaded"
I get this message every time I boot up. It just started recently. Anyone know how to fix that? Everything seems to run okay, but that annoying box pops up every time.
"Java Virtual Machine not loaded"
Thanks in advance.
karTo state the obvious:
1 - Install JAVA
2 - Java is installed: change your PATH vaialbe to point to the folder with JAVA.EXE in it.
3 - check to be sure your CLASSPATH variable is correct -- this will not give you the error you describe, but it will make other things very anoying.
4 - If everything in 1-3 look good, then uninstall, delete any remaining JAVA folders and reboot (cold boot), and then re-install JAVA and pay attention to any errors that may be generated (It sounds like something messed up your install before). -
XP OS, have NoScript installed, disabled, Java console still will not load from FFx.
I followed your instructions and installed Developer Suite 10G on Windows Vista Home Premium edition. I have Oracle 11G DB running on the same machine.
Two points, Steve:
1. When I tried to set the maximum virtual memory to 6110 an error message displayed from Windows and told me that I can't set the maximum virtual memory to more than 4096. I set it to 4090 and it worked and I got nothing wrong during the installation process.
2. After installing JInitiator and disabling Java on Firefox I called the http://127.0.0.1:8889/forms/frmservlet page and everything seemed to be OK because the Oracle Forms Services logo appeared and then a successful installation message appeared , but as I clicked (ok) to continue a gray screen appeared inside the browser (like the one displayed when you try to run a Java applet inside a browser) and then I wait to death till something appears but sadly nothing. I just get a blank gray screen inside my Firefox browser.
Do you have any idea what to do to solve the problem?

Could not load mediaLib accelerator wrapper classes. Continuing in pure Jav
Can anyone provide an explanation/solution to the following error message:
"Could not load mediaLib accelerator wrapper classes. Continuing in pure Java mode."This problem seems to occur if only the JAI JAR files are installed without the native DLL's. Is there some property that can be passed in to JAI so that it doesn't look for the DLL's? The lookup is causing quite a delay in initial server response time. We don't want to include the DLL's since they are a big pain for our customers to install and the performance issue is not a concern.
Thanks for any help!
