    Regards,
    Shridhar..

    Hi Sridhar,
To use open sql in particular project in Netweaver Studio, you should have WAS 6.40.SO the current version which you had mentioned WAS 6.20 doesn't support open sql.
Secondly to use open sql you should place the driver .jar file in the lib folder of your respective perspective.you can download the same .jar file from the vendor's website(eg:- oracle). Then you need to conect to the DB,have youe executable statement and iterate thro' your resultset similarly what you in an ordinary JDBC program.
                Hope this helps.

    Guru

  • Can java open the page, if clicked on the link??

    Hi every one...
    may any one help me???
i created an about dialog box... and it contains a label which is contains my web page... but i want the program... if i clicked on the my web address... it open my page in a default browser...
i tried so hard.. but i wasn't able to do that...
    can any one help me?

if i clicked on the my web address... it open my page in a default browser...In JDK6 there is a new Desktop API that allows you to do this.
In previous versions you need to write your own hacks. Execute my code in this posting and read the article for a suggestion:

  • Java opens and closes instantly

When I try to open Java, it appears for a second and then closes. Sometime, when I keep clicking eventually it stays open, but that is rather rare. This happens when i try to open Yahoo slideshows, calendars when booking airline trip and more.. I have latest version, recently reinstalled ( 2re1.4.2_08) running Wndows XP Pro with SP2.
I have AVG antivirus, updated and running well, also Ad-Aware SE Pro.
    Thank you for your help,
    Jan

To give you a specific example, I would go to:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/space/20050730/sc_space/dinosaurembryosrevealridiculousproportions (or any other Yahoo news picture)
and then click on Reuters photo to see an enlargment of dinosaur embryo. At that moment a new windows opens for a second or two and closes again.
    Another example would be the
    http://www.fotopic.net/
where I try to upload pictures to my site http://jankurz.fotopic.net/
using their Java Upload feature ( Java Applet) which is much faster than their Web upload or Email upload. ( you would have to be a member to see the actual upload site)
    And site like this:
    http://c1dsp.westjet.com/guest/home.shtml?language=EN
does not open calendar to find a date for departure/arrival.
But many other sites I have no problem opening new windows.
I followed the advice on Microsoft site:
    http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=283807
with no result. I also tried to disabled pop-up blocker (I have SP2).
I have no virus (AVG free) and no spyware according to AD-Aware Pro.
Thank you for the interest in my problem,
    Jan

  • I cannot use my pogo account as it states firefox has a bug in it and will not let java open

I cannot use my pogo account this is what it states, how do I fix this, it worked fine this morning and tonight it isn't working
It looks like you’ve the new version of Firefox. Unfortunately, there is currently a bug that is preventing players from playing Java games with version 3.6.14 of Firefox.

  • Customize Open dialog box from af:inputText

    Hi all,
About af:inputFile I have more questions:
-How can I set implicit path for af:inputFile?
-When I click Browse button is opening an Open dialog Windows standard.
It is possible to have Java Open dialog? How?
-How can I show(sort) only text (.txt) files in Open dialog?

    Hi,
not sure what you mean by "implicit path", but the answers for question 2 and 3 is
    2) no, because its an operation on the client
    3) you can't because the dialog is a browser dialog that we don't have control of

  • OER 11.1.1.7 - Asset Navigator doesn't open with an Error - Missing Required permissions attribute in main jar

    Hi,
I have installed OER-11g version 11.1.1.7 and am successfuly able to open Asset Editor , ImpExp utility and also could harvest SOA and OSB components.
    Issue 1:
However while trying to open the Navigator of the harvested components in OER console, a new window opens with two sections ( top and bottom). The top one which is a diagram view doesn't open with an error - Missing required permissions attribute in main jar: http://localhost:7101/oer-web/applets/components.aler-thinkmapclient-11.1.1.7.0.jar.
    Please find the screenshot below.
Issue #2 : While trying to browse for the Assets from OER console. The below error is seen ( missing permissions for components.jexplorer-11.1.1.7.0.jar)
Could someone direct me on how to solve this issue. Appreciate your help !
    Thanks and regards,
    Sridhar.

It works for me after I did a small tweak by as mine is a demo install.
Idea - is to make an security exception for the OER url in Java control console
    Steps to do that :
1.Go to the control panel and uninstall the 64 bit version of Java
Open Programs and Features and select the 64 bit version of Java and select Uninstall.
2.Open up the Java Control Panel
Found as an option in the standard windows control panel
3.Check the version by clicking on the About Tab
If this is not what you expected you can go to java.com and download the latest version.
4.Click on the Security Tab in the Java Control Panel
5.Click on the Edit Site List button in the lower RH corner of the control panel
6.Add your URL to be allowed
Enter the full path that you use to access this such as https://myequallogics.com or the IP address if that is how you access it (as in http://192.168.0.100 - Https is recommended by Oracle.) Once complete hit OK. You should now see the exception on the security page.
7.Close out of the control panel.
8.You can now acess your site through the browser window.
Thanks to Java error: Missing required Permissions manifest attribute in main jar - Spiceworks for letting me know this.
    regards,
    Sridhar

  • Java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]Syntax error

    Hi all,
I am able to INSERT and SELECT records from FoxPRo database successfully.
The driver is Sun JDBC-ODBC bridge
The DELETE statement throws no exception.
I've tried to execute PACK after the DELETE call and got following exception:
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]File must be opened exclusively. So I tried USE MYTABLE EXCLUSIVE in a Statement before calling PACK and got the exception:
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]Syntax error or access violationI've also tried inserting the USE MYTABLE EXCLUSIVE before calling DELETE but got the same exception above.
The ODBC DSN for MYTABLE is setup as:
    - Free Tables (not database)
    - Null (checked)
    - Deleted (checked)
    - Fetch data in background (checked)
I am not able to issue any of the following commands to FoxPro using java
OPEN - To open a table
CLOSE - To close a table
USE - To open a table for uer either in exclusive mode or shared mode
The exception being generated is :
java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][ODBC Visual FoxPro Driver]Syntax error or access violationThe help file of the Microsoft Visual Foxpro Driver states that the driver has support for the above commands.I a not able to get the way to issue the above commands to the driver using java.
In setting up the ODBC DSN I saw no "read only" setting.
In the Visual Foxpro table, I saw no READ ONLY settings. And also, there are no delete permission grants and there is no user database sesssion concept.
I've tried all of the above with DSN mapped to a database(NOT free tables) and setting AUTO-COMMIT OFF and AUTO-COMMIT ON.But in vain. The same exceptions as those stated above persisted.
    Environment:
    Microsoft Windows XP Professional
    JDK version "1.4.2_09"
    Microsoft Visual Foxpro 06.00.8167
    Microsoft Visual Foxpro Driver 6.01.8629.01
Don't know what else to try.
    Can anybody please help me.
    Thanks in advance
    Archana

  • Using Terminal in Mac OSX to program and test java

I bought a book on java and it says I should not use a JDK like Net Beans when first learning java.
Right or wrong I would like to know how to use terminal to program and compile simple scripts.
    So my question is:
How do you go about setting up the computer to use terminal to write and compile a java program? I know my Mac sees java in terminal because tells me Im running "version 1.5.0_07"
I just need a link to some info on how to get started using Terminal for my command line with java.
I think if I could get a path set up from the command line to my text file and have javac see it I would be in pretty good shape. At least for now.
If I use a text saved plain text file (.java) how do I set up a path to it using javac from the command line?
Where can I find or link to this kind of info?
Macbook Pro Mac OS X (10.4.10)

    Hi,
seems like you have not tried out a few things.
    1. Set up the JAVA_HOME environment variable. (I assume you pretty much know it) the folder where java is installed.
    2. set up the environment variable to point to the bin folder inside the java installation folder.
    3. open up a console (it seems from your post you know it.), type java -version see the java version.
    4. type in javac, press enter: you should get the javac options.
    5. type in java, you should see the java options.
Write your programs in a text editor, save it as somename.java.
open a console, change to the directory containing the java file.
    type: javac somename.java <PRESS ENTER>
you should get the compilation errors if any.
    if not
    type in: java somename.java
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
AyusmanStep 1 and 2 are generally not needed. Mac OS X comes with Java configured up and running right out of the box.

Hi, i've done all described in the posts, but i
don't know how to call the servlet, using the web
browser, and more, how can i call the servlet frrom
    a button action? or hyperlink?
nks for the helpOk, I am not sure what you are trying to do. For these events you can
use the SessionBean. What do you want the servlet to do that the session bean can't?
I use the sessionbean because I don't know how to receive or respond to xmlhttpreq messages directly in my sessionbean. If you just need the standard http req/resp it doesn't seem like a servlet is needed.

  • Java Creater LE run project error

Today i tried to run this project example using that java open source program i changed the project setting directory to where i placed the project example so that i can have a look but instead it displayed me these sort of errors: -
    --------------------Configuration: choir - JDK version 1.5.0_11 <Default> - <Default>--------------------
    Driver loaded: sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
    Connecting to url: jdbc:odbc:choirdsn;database=choir.mdb
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException
    at view.MyComboBox.addItems(MyComboBox.java:16)
    at view.ChoirFrame.updateDisplay(ChoirFrame.java:47)
    at view.ChoirFrame.<init>(ChoirFrame.java:38)
    at main.ChoirMain.main(ChoirMain.java:13)
    Process completed.
So if you got a solution to this can you post it in this thread please, would be appreciated thank you :)

So obviously, some reference in view.MyComboBox.addItems, Line16, is null. Make sure that whichever reference it is, it's properly referenced to an object, before you start working with it.

  • Java Issues

"The page “PopCap Games - Bookworm” attempted to load Java content, but Java is unavailable or not installed."
I have been getting this alot when I click on something. I was trying to get my settings right for NASCAR.com and I am not sure what settings need to be fixed. I know I have Java on my machine. Anyone know why it could not be working?

    Hi
    Welcome to Apple Discussions
Are you using an Intel machine?
Make sure the "enable java" and "enable javascript" boxes are selected in Safari Preferences>Security panel.
If they are selected, make sure you have the latest version for your Intel machine. Java has a cache file, which you can clear. Do so by going to the Utilities folder>Java>J2SE 5.0 and removing any items in the cache. Also, select preferences in the Java menu. My panel looks like this:
Make sure your panel shows Java J2SE 5.0 at the top of the list (you can drag it there). Also, if Java 1.4.2 is installed in your system (Utilities folder>Java), open Java 1.4.2 Plugin Settings.app and click on the Cache panel>View. There you can remove any cache items.
Restart Safari and try a Java site.
If no go, try Safari from another User Account. In case you need it, here's direction for creating the account:
Here is guidance from Apple on how to set up the account. You can ignore step 7 in the article.
Also, on the system preference>Accounts panel, click on "log-in" options. There, select "fast user switching". This allows you to go back and forth between user accounts via an icon in your Menu Bar at the top of the computer screen.
Log-on to the new account and start Safari. If Java works in the new account, then your problem is specific to your regular user account. Otherwise, similar response means a system-wide problem.
    Post back.
