Java patches tables
Dear All,
Please let me know the database table names for Netweaver JAVA patches.
Like in ABAP we have PAT1, PAT2,PAT3 etc etc
Thanks,
Sudip..
Though in my system there is no PAT1 table (ok i see, the interesting stuff is in PAT03). The j2ee components are in table BC_COMPVERS. Be sure that you look in the java schema (the one ending with ...db). For example if your abap schema is sapsr3, then the java schema is sapsr3db.

Java process table empty after upgrade solution manager 7.1 Sp10
Hi Experts,
I have installed solution manager 7.1 SP3 and completed the SP10 patch upgrade using SUM tool. The upgrade was completed successfully. After upgrade igswd was red. Then i copied the Igs files in kernel files. Now ABAP instance and Igs is working now but JAVA is not coming up. JAVA process table also empty. Can any one help me to solve this issue. Attached the error for reference.

JSPM Error while applying As Java Patch to PI 7.1
Dear All
I am facing an issue when trying to patch new Pi 7.1 Ehp1 Java patch through JSPM
steps i did
. since the download manger is not working for us i click on the link and down load all the patches to windows machine ( Installed machine is AIX)
all the patches were downloded in SCA.zip " LMNWATOOLS04_0-20003137.SCA.zip" format which is not recognizable through JSPM
i rename all the file taking off zip extension "LMNWATOOLS04_0-20003137.SCA" , but now the initiating is working but it throws an error saying to revise all the selected patches?
" Error occured, while reading refactoring configuration from SDU file /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in/ESREGBASIC04_0-20003135.SCA. java.io.IOException: java.io.IOException: "
how can i deploy these patches comes with SCA.zip format ? i know only SCA can be deployed , but since i have downloaded them directly it converted to SCA.zip
please advice me how to resoleve this urgently
appreciate your coperation with regard to this
Buddhike> how can i deploy these patches comes with SCA.zip format ? i know only SCA can be deployed , but since i have downloaded them directly it converted to SCA.zip
It is fine just to delete the .zip at the end. The issue has another reason.
Have you patched the JSPM before you applied the patches? -

Hi,
I need to build a Java Tree Table as the follwing:

Issue with Default Variable in WAD after Java Patch 7.01.7.31
Hello all,
I'm running into an issue with the Web Application Designer Template execution for a particular default variable. This started occuring after Java Patch 7.01.7.31 we had implented over the weekend.
The issue is when Executing the WAD Template, we have a selection screen with a variable with default values assigned to it. When leaving the default values and hitting Ok to execute through the screen does not register and stays as is and I get a message at the top with the following: Characteristic Prob % Number has no master data for "1.00" or you do not have authorization.
This only seems to occur for this default variable on info object Prob % Number, the other default variables seem to work fine. Also another note when clearing out the values it returns data and executes through. The value 1.00 is also a valid value in the cube and also in the output display. If we run this report in the BEx analyzer, the selection screen executes through with the default variable perfectly fine, this is only an issue with the Web Application Designer Template.
Has anyone ran into this? I've searched and have not found any notes as of yet.
Thank you,
-AndyDear Andy,
Please raise this to SAP, seems like a strange problem this needs to be addressed by OSS note only.
Close this thread once you get a solution.
Regards.

JAVA Patches not deployed properly-System restore back
Hi Experts! recently we had deployed JAVA patches on EP development box but we are facing lot of problems with functionality and etc. Before going to deployment,we took backup for file system as well database. So we are planning to restore it back.My doubt is...Could I need to restore only DATABASE (/usr/sap/sid) or need to restore FILE SYSTEM (OR) Both? Please provide me solution urgently and which path i should follow to retore at file system level?
Thanks,Hi,
You have to restre both (application + database). If you have taken offline backup then you restore as it is and try again.

Problems with Java Dictionary Tables
Hi Experts,
I have some problems with the Java Dictionary tables that I have created for my
application. There are around 15 dictionary tables, each one of them having
several hundred records, added in due course.
As much as I understand these tables (created using the dictionary perspective)
are stored in the default schema of the J2EE engine where the dictionary project
is deployed and there is no direct way to insert records into these tables, we have
to separately write methods to insert, update and delete records.
I've already done this. Now the problem is that i have moved my project DC from
development to testing. Now here the tables are existing, but not the data that i
inserted during development.
NOW, the main question: IS THERE ANY WAY IN WHICH I CAN TRANSFER
THE CONTENTS OF THESE JAVA DICTIONARY TABLES??
I have tried solutions like creating a DBLINK between the databases, but it is
tedious, and unpredictable in behaviour. Also Please do not advise to first
download them to excel and then upload using jxlapi, etc.
Thanx in Advance.
Alka.Hi Alka,
The dblink is a good solution, but just a bit slow. You can also use a SQL Loader, first export the data from the source table in a text file (i.e. using a tool like TOAD), then sql loader loads the data in the destination table. This is more fast.
Hope this help,

I have used the Firefox troubleshooting guides, no good. The Java patch is enabled and shows when I check applications. However when I run Firefox plugins it still shows the java plug in is outdated and need to be updated immediately.
OK, I went to the Firefox knowledge base article you cited and followed the directions with the exception that in the drop down menu I choose Adobe Reader for PDF files rather than the plug in default that apparently was set by the Java patch. Problem solved !!!!!!! Thank you so much for taking the time to get me back to the basic place I needed to be to correct this issue. YOU ROCK!!!!

Query Functionalities affected after Java patch application 20
Hi ,
We applied Java Patch 20 to our Development System. After this application we are getting Error in running the Bookmarks, error while creating complex formula and the functionalities like Back to Start,Back one Navigational Step are not working properly in BI 7.0 Queries.
Thanks & Regards,
JackieWe have run with this patch for a long time now and have never encountered an issue like this.
Are you using JInitiator or the Java Plugin (recommended)?
Have you tried clearing the JAR cache on the client? Your FMB's also might be corrupted somehow - have you tried rebuilding them on a Developer Suite with the exact same patch level as the Application Server?
You could also try the new super-merge patch 7703734, which supersedes the previous super-merge 7482020, and see if that helps in any way.
If that doesn't help, you should log an SR on Metalink and get Support to help you solving this.
Hope this helps,

Hello all,
Using ML 10.8.1 and Safair 6.0
After Java patch 1.7.0_07 ENable applet plug-in and Web start checkbox is gone! The check box to enable Safari to load Java pages is 100% gone, missing, just not there anymore.
When I go to the Java test page it shows that I have Java 7 loaded. Has anyone else run into this problem or have a solution to enable true load loading in Safari and bring back the Enable applet plug-in and Web Start application check box in ML...
ThanksI found out something very interesting. I noticed that another page would show up for less than have a second before the ML Java Preference would show up. I did a video recording of this and moved frame by frame. I show that the page / pane showing up had the following option:
Run applets: in their own process
within their browser process
Both boxes for the two are unchecked.
Then this page would disappear and nother would show up without the option / check box
Enable applet plugin and Web Start applications

Hi Experts,
I need small information on JAVA Patch level.
Presently we are on Patch level 15 in portal system and latest patch available in market place is 19.
Please guide me which patch level can i go and apply.
Regards
JanThe best practice is to go with one step lesser than the highest patch available, because to get the fiexes to the problems with the highest patch will take some time and the 18 patch should have got the fixes by the time highest patch is released. and also you might get the possible issue with the patch 18 from the people who already adopted it or from the market place (you can get the report on impacts ) before proceeding to apply. The other point you need to consider is the patch 19 functionality and its immediate applicability as per your scenario.
Thank you,

Thanks.Hi,
ABAP stack present.: true
The execution ended in error.
Cannot initialize application data.
Error while detecting start profile for instance with ID _s.
Looks like the problem is above 1
Do the following. This should resolve the issues.
1. If your dialog instance are also having the Java stack then do one thing move your profile folder to some other name and create a new profile folder with the name "profile".
Copy only the central instance profiles Default, Instance and start profile.
Then give a try.
2. If you do not have the java instance in Dialog instance still do the same thing what I have described. move the current profile folder and create the new folder with the name "profile" and copy the profiles Default, Instance and start profile.
Chances are the JSPM is reading some other profile while starting the JSPM.

How to revert back the Java patch Upgrde
Hi,
I did the Java patch upgrade from 7.00.13.0 to 7.00.22.0 .
But I want to revert back few components to the older version .Is it possible?
Thanks in advance ..Hi,
doing an upgrade is a one way. About "revert back few components"
In theory you would start with SP13 and only install the SP22 version of what you want to upgrade, but: That's not a good idea. Depending on what you want to keep at SP13, SP22 won't work.
