Java Change After WebLogic Installation
Hello,
I've installed WebLogic 10.3.6 with FMW 11.1.1.6 running on OEL 6.3. I'm running Java 1.7.0_5. I'm trying to deploy a vendor's web application. The deployment is fine. However, when I try to run the web application, I get various java errors. The vendor says they don't yet support Java 7.
If I uninstall Java 7 and install Java 6 build 33 (or 35), how can I reconfigure WebLogic to use the "new" jdk? Can I rerun the wls1036_generic.jar and just select the "new"jdk? Or do I have to uninstall WebLogic, change Java versions then reinstall WebLogic?
Thanks,
Mike Lamar
Baylor UniversityHi Mike,
You can reframe your Java home with in script file while will reflect all the changes.
for specific to domain check with in setDomainEnv.sh or .cmd file or to entire installation check with commonEnv.sh or .cmd file with in %WLS_Home%/ common / bin/
Still you get any error let me know.

Hi Experts,
Trying to Deinstall the OBIEE 11g. OUI is not launching... after digging the issue find out that "Java RunTime Environment was not found".
But Java software is available at the specified path.
"C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-05_01-10-08PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe"
Can you please help me on this... The complete error is...
Oracle Universal Installer
The Java RunTime Environment was not found at C:\DOCUME~1\v859971\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-05_01-10-08PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe. Hence, the Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run.
Please visit http://www.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higher and try again.
OK
ArjunHi Srini,
I have tried as you mentioned like installing Java in C:\Java... and I have tried the by setting the JRE_LOCATION of local path. No use of it.
tried with -jreloc and setting the java path in environment variables too.
As I understand, the problem i have seen at files copied path is not expected as required. Please see the path below...
C:\DOCUME~1\v859971\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-06_03-36-31PM\jre\bin\javaw.exe.
After running the Setup.exe -deinstall... temporary folder is creating with timestamp and all the required files are coping here...
"jre" folder also created and copied required java files directly into jre folder, but not in jre\bin folder.
folder path is like this
C:\DOCUME~1\v859971\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2013-09-06_03-36-31PM\jre\javaw.exe.
Setup application is expecting jre\bin\javaw.exe, but folder structure is created as jre\javaw.exe. There it is coming the issue.
I have even tried with copying all the files into bin folder and executed the setup.exe, it again creating a new temporary file
not able to resolve it... -

I installed standalone Weblogic server and jdeveloper in D:\weblogic1033\Middleware\.
Then, I remove it and clean the regedit.
I reinstall jdeveloper and its weblogic to D:\Jdev11113\Middleware.
I change the JAVA_HOME=D:\Jdev11113\Middleware\jdk160_18. I have not set CLASS_PATH variable.
However, when I run the jspx page, jdeveloper shows errors

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8gigs
Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 the studio edition with embedded jdk
I can start the integrated appserver outside of jdev using the cmd script that is supplied but it fails to run if I kick it off from inside of jdeveloper.

Weblogic installation with IBM JDK
Hi,
We are planning to install Oracle Fusion Middleware components 11gR1 (11.1.1.6+) on IBM AIX Power 64 Bit servers. When i checked the certification matrix IBM JDK 7 SR3+ IV33133 is the certified version of JDK for weblogic installation.
Please help me on how to exactly get/download the IBM JDK 7 SR3+ IV33133? I have checked the IBM JDK downloads page and not exactly getting how can we get SR3+ IV33133?
Best Regards,
KartheekHi Prakash,
I guess the '+' sign in the IBM JDK 7 SR3 + IV33133 is bit tricky. I doubt whether it is IBM JDK 7 SR3 added with IV33133.
I have spent quite some time on this JDK installation and got to know that the 3rd party products that are certified to run only on specific versions of IBM's Java for AIX can be downloaded from IBM Java for ISVs download page.
Here are steps that i have followed to download the IBM JDK 7 SR3+ IV33133
1.Go to the IBM Java for ISVs download site at the following URL:
https://www14.software.ibm.com/webapp/iwm/web/preLogin.do?lang=en_US&source=swg-ibmjavaisv
2.Log in using your IBM ID and password.
3.Enter the associated Access Key MJ3D7TQGMK in the IBM Java for ISVs page
4.Click on submit
5.On the IBM SDK Interim Fixes (iFix) for Oracle page you will see the below JDK versions that are exactly matching the one provided in the certification matrix.
pap6470sr3ifx-20121213_01 (SR3+IV33133)
Java7_64.0.0.61.tar.gz (115 MB)
pap6470sr3ifx-20121213_01 (SR3+IV33133)
pap6470sr3ifx-20121213_01-sdk.tar.Z (184 MB)
6.installed the JDK
Please can you confirm that this procedure is correct?

Exception in thread "Main Thread" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: weblogic/
hi,
I am getting error message when i run HttpClient in my java class. Will the HttpClient will work in weblogic.

ManuAgain you need to make a difference between what runs within the weblogic container to what runs in a vanilla JVM. Understanding this is crucial to your problem.
1. web service -> client -> another web service
The webservice will always run within the weblogic container and you should never get the ClassnotFound because weblogic.jar is always available there. Any subsequent clients loaded into the same JVM will presumably be in the same classloader and wont have problems either
2. client -> web service;
If you are using a standalone client in a JVM you shouldnt have any dependency on weblogic and commons-httpclient will work just fine as would commons-logging. However if you include some weblogic jars in the classpath, when you launch the client JVM you would need to include the jars mentioned in the other post because they reference other weblogic classes. But this isn't necessary if you just clean up your classpath to only have the jars you need. -
Hi,
I tried to follow the procedure to use WLST to change the port number of one of my Servers...
started wslt.sh with no problems reports...
but when issued the commands
wsl:/offline>readDomain('path to my base_domain') <-- was successful
wls:/offline/base_domain>cd('servers/AdminServer')
Error: cd() failed. Do dumpStack() to see details.
wls:/offline/base_domain>dumpStack()

at com.oracle.cie.domain.script.jython.CommandExceptionHandler.handleException(CommandExceptionHandler.java:51)
... 29 more
So I guess that one of the two, either I am missing one of the jars in my classpath (in this case I don't know which one?) because weblogic.jar does not have this class in it.
or ?
please help if you can you are the only help o-bey 1 !

Can any body help me!
Thank a lotHi Famoniri,
I guess you have used weblogic specific libraries for looking up. IE does not know about this class and hence java.lang.ClassNotFoundException.
If the above is the cause of the problem, try packaging the weblogic jar files with the applet(not a good idea!) or use the standard javax.naming packages(may be a good idea!).
The problem causer is weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactoryDelegate.newRootNamingNodeStub which is trying to load classes which are not prsent in its viscinity.
Let me know if this helps.

Hi all,
I have a RH7.1 box, and I have the Oracle 8i official package for Linux (Oracle's CD named "Oracle 8i Entreprise Edition Release 3 (8.1.7) for Linux Intel").
I've read all the stuff about the glibc compatibility and took all appropriate actions. The "runInstaller" starts without any problem and I can go through the first installation stages.
But at time, I'm asked for a Java path (default : /usr/local/java) ! What's that ? Isn't Oracle supposed to install a JRE1.1.8 (available onto the CD) ? I've read all the software requirements and absolutely NOWHERE it is said that a Java has to be installed prior to the Oracle installation.
The CD comes with its own JRE1.1.8 so that the java runInstaller can start...(and indeed it starts without any prior JDK installation on my machine)
So what should I put as a path when asked for the Java path ? 'cause if I press ok, later an error message appears and says (of course) "No java found in /usr/local/java..."
I'm blocked during this installation stage...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Arnaud.Hi Denis,
Thanks for your input. What I did (prior to reading this post again) is that I installed a jdk-1.3.1 (as an rpm) and I did a symbolic link like you explained.
It works fine, now I have a fully operationnal 8i database on my RH7.1 box
Anyway, my question remains the same : why isn't it specified in the installation software requirements that a java environment has to be installed PRIOR to the 8.1.7 installation.
This installation guide is really poorly designed. It does'nt even say which version of Linux it officially supports.
Moreover, isn't linux jre 1.1.8 supposedly bundled into the CD ? Isn't it installed during the 8i installation ? The answer is yes... after the installation, I have a JRE1.1.8 on top of the ORACLE_HOME directory.
What I think is that all this is really stupid and poorly designed and badly documented.
Anyway, finally, it works... but it is not officialy supported (RedHat 7.1) sight
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
