Java Platform Application Mainclass

What do I put as the main class in a Java Platform Application (modules) when deploying using JNLP?

Hi,
I found the solution by my self. The problem was encoding="ISO8859-1".
But their is now a further question: Is their a possibility to send the message out in encoding ISO8859-1?

This is an element ordering issue. env-entry is before resource-ref in the schema so it must be declared in the same order.

    Hello,
Did you download the window version?
    Download it from
    https://sdlc4e.sun.com/ECom/EComActionServlet;jsessionid=127ACE07200555497A21DDC654885146
And don't worry, it's the correct version. Also could you check on your PC,
    Start\Programs\ Sun Microsystems\ Application Server PE 9.
Also which operative system are you using?

  • Get blank page in Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8

I installed Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 and got blank page in http://localhost:1100/ and http://localhost:1100/hello/.
The port 1100 is my default port of HTTP port.
    My enviroment:
    Win2000 professional
    j2sdk1.4.2_05
Tomcat 4.1 (use port : 8080, and it works fine after installing Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8 )
Anybody can help me to solve this problem? I really want to learn J2EE by using this way.
This is my server.log when invoking the URL http://localhost:1100/ or http://localhost:1100/hello/ .

The way i solved it was the following :
I removed all java related packages/applications/servers etc existing in my pc .
my meaning of remove is complete uninstallation of any java application .
then i installed back again j2sdk1.42_05 then i installed the sun application server .
everything was succesful since then .
If you have any java version installed in your pc , for example j2sdk1.4.2_05 and this
package supports previous servers or other java applications and then you install
sun application server , it doesn't work .
It seems the previous java apps . don't "release" some java resources which are
used or can be used by sun application server .
I hope this can be useful to you .
    good luck .

    Thanks for the reply.
I am using Sun Java System Application Server Platform Edition 8.2 (build b06-fcs). Could be some problem in the application itself. Can you suggest what may be missing? As suggested in the bug description i used the wscompile -infix option as well.

no probroblem happened. in the second week ,sometimes my JSC can not startup, so I restarted my JSC. and it can work again. later, the same problem happened again. when I restarted my JSC , it sill does not work, so I have to restart my computer and it startup successfully,
two days later, the same problem happened again. I restarted my computer , it still did not work. so I have to change my port number in the domain.xml. sometimes it woks well, but sometimes I can't not startup.
in the third week, no matter what I do, the problem can not be solved.
some of my colleagues don't have such problem. but some of them have the same problem. when I run my project on the computer that don't have such problem , it can startup. I don't know why, just a little weird.

    Hi,
Restarting the computer should have stopped the appserver.
To kill the appserver manually you can go to the command prompt
    <install-dir>\Sun\Creator2\SunAppServer8\bin\asadmin.bat\stop-appserv
    Thanks,
    RK.

  • Java web application will not run on iMac.

I have a problem that has defied technical support in 2 organisations.
I am a stock trader and use a high spec iMac for my trading platforms. Recently I tried to run two different trading platforms on my Mac without success. The applications are Thinkorswim from TD Ameritrade and Trader Workstation from Interactive Brokers. I can download the Mac versions of either the web based or standalone versions of these apps and install them ok but when I double click the apps I get a "bouncing" logo appear in the dock and then it disappears. These are Java based applications. I have checked that Java is enabled, latest version etc and that Java web start is in place - but to no avail.
Now the weird part, I also have a Macbook Pro and the apps load OK on this.
Both machines run latest version of Lion, and all parameters and settings for browser, Java, preferences are identical. I cannot find a difference between the two machines.
Can anyone suggest a possible cause and solution? Greatly appreciated.

I had the same - was a un unzipping issue...
If you have a 3rd party zipper - either uninstall or turn off the zip file handing under prefs
only use the built in Lion unzipper.

  • Sun Java System Application Server installation location on windows

    Hi there...
I'm just doing the "Your First Cup: An Introduction to the Java EE Platform" tutorial for the first time. I'm trying to add the Sun Java System Application Server in NetBeans IDE. It's asking me to select the Platform Location, and I have no idea where that is. No help instructions I've found say where it normally gets installed, and I've found now mention of it on the web.
Can anyone tell me the location where this is supposed to be located? I HAVE installed the Java EE SDK 5 for Windows. The location it offers as a default is "C:\Program Files\glassfish-v2ur2\", but there is a red message at the bottom of the dialog that reads "Provide a valid Application Server Installation Location for 'Sun Java System App...". The Register Local Default Domain drop-down box has not options to select, either.
I would try and search some more, but I just don't know what to search for. If anyone can offer any insight into this, I appreciate it.
    Thanks a ton!!!
    Orion Carrier

I`ve posted a shorter version of the question in the hopes of getting a timely answer. Thanks

  • Business Intelligence java platform SDK

    Hey guys,
I want to work out the advantages of the BI Java platform SDK. For this I have some guides.
At first I want to start with the BI Java SDK Development Guide.
Already at the beginning I have a problem. I thought if I include the libarys from the local WebIntelligence I'll be done, but the jar-files from the guide are not included.
Now my question, do I have to download a special SDK-package.
    Where can I find it?
The attached picture shows the libarys I need. The red marked are missing.
    Thanks and Regards
    Dennis Kliche

  • How to configure Sun Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 8.1

    hi all,
How to configure Sun Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 8.1 to my IDE..( jstudio)
I have installed jes for my windows system.. so that i have removed platform version of Application Server..
I try to add the Enterprise application Server (Sun Java System Application Server Enterprise Edition 8.1) to JStudio IDE..
    but i couldn't;

Configuring your IDE to integrate with Sun App Server is something you probably will have to ask in some sort of JStudio forum. Other than for Netbeans, Eclipse, or possibly IntelliJ IDEA, you might not have much luck answering an IDE question here. I could be wrong though. Maybe somebody will have an answer for you and set me straight.

  • Sun Java System Application Server for Mac OS X ?

    hi everybody.
does anybody know if (any given date ?) sun is planning to offer a distribution of its sun java system application server for mac os x ? or even better: any ideas on how to install a currently available version on mac os x 10.4 ? the linux bin seems not to be readable.
thank you very much in advance, folks.
    and have a nice day
    andre from berlin, germany

As you noticed, standalone MacOS distribution of application server is currently not available, but what you can do is to download NetBeans with J2EE bundle or Creator (for free) and install bundled Application Server on this platform. Download URLs are:
    http://www.netbeans.info/downloads/download.php?type=4.1
    (NetBeans/J2EE cobundle)
    http://developers.sun.com/prodtech/devtools/free/
    (Creator)
Also, you can install and run Glassfish (which is open-source version of upcoming Application Server 9.0) on MacOS X:
    http://java.sun.com/javaee/glassfish/getit.jsp

  • Wild bug on Sun Java System Application Server 9.1 (build b41d-beta2)

    please help
