Java rmi more than two machines connectivity

i want to communicate more than two machines using java rmi.
Scenario:
i want a client to invoke a method on the server using rmi, and then this invoked method transfers/copies a small file from the server to some other destination machine. the destination machine's address will be provided using client's command line arguments.

I have just loaded Design Premium and am being told it already exists on two other machines. I have fully uninstalled it from one machine here, leaving one other possible machine that may be using the software (my machine at Home). however, it appears no other machine uses the software...is there a way of identifying the machines on to which Adobe are referring?

so did you deactivated the software before uninstalling if no then that the issue , as you haven't deactivated it the database of Adobe hasn't been updated.

there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers.

Enable more than two concurrent sessions in Server 2012 r2

Hello,
I have setup RDS on Server 2012 R2 with the following roles: (RD Connection Broker, RD Session Host, RD Gateway, RD Licensing, RD Web Access). My sole purpose for this setup was to enable this server and only this server to allow more than 2
concurrent RDP connections.
Here is some background information:
1. I will not be using RemoteApps or the Web access, I only only need to RDP into this server with more than 2 concurrent connections.
2. The licensing server is activated and I have a 50 user CAL installed on it. It has issued licenses to 3 users that have logged into the server while I was looking at the Web site features. So I know the licensing is working properly.
3. This server does reside in a domain but I'm looking to have everything self contained on just the one box. I do not want to put anything on my domain controller or a separate machine.
4. Everything looks to be fully configured in all of the roles. I have no warnings about things not being configured correctly.
5. When I attempt to login with a 3rd user to this system, it still prompts to have me remove one of the previous 2 sessions.
I know I must be looking right past the setting or it is in a very convoluted space, but how do I enable this server to allow more than 2 RDP sessions? I've made the change in group policy for (Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop
Services\Remote Desktop Session Host\Connections\Limit number of connections) to 50 but this still not seem to correct the problem.

Are you working with Domain or Workgroup environment?
Because from your description seems you want everything on single server. To enable more than 2 RDP session for your server we need to Add RD Session Host and RD Licensing Role Services, configure the RD Licensing mode, and licensing server name in the local
group policy, Activate the RD Licensing server and install RDS CALs using RD Licensing Manager.
You can configure the Licensing mode and licensing server through GPO as per below path.
Computer Configuration\ Administrative Templates\ Windows Components\ Remote Desktop Services\ Remote Desktop Session Host\ Licensing
Use the specified Remote Desktop license servers - Provide the FQDN of the license servers to use
Set the Remote Desktop licensing mode - Specify the ‘per user’ or ‘per device’ licensing types

Hi Stover,
Typically you use the redemption code to retrieve your serial number for Elements products. The licensing for Elements allows the owner to install on two of their computers.

Adobe thinks I have more than two computers

I recently purchased Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium. I only have two Windows computers. One is running 64 bit Vista Ultimate and the other one (a laptop) is running Vista Home Edition. I installed the Adobe suite on both machines without issue. I took my laptop over to Peet's to use it and now when I come home to use it on the other computer, I get a big message box saying:
Excuse the interruption, but:
Our records indicate that this serial number has already been used to set up and activate Creative Suite 4 Production Premium on two other machines, which is the maximum allowed.
You have 30 days from today to correct this problem.
I called in to the support number and they are showing that it has been activated on 6 different computers now.
The only thing I can think of is that someone at Peet's was able to steal my serial number through some hacker magic maybe eavesdropping over the wireless somehow?
Please help! Is this a known issue or something?
This software was way too expensive to have this happen. I am not a pirate, I didn't give the number to anyone. I didn't expose the serial number anywhere knowingly or accidentally.
Please help.
One thing I did notice is that the Adobe updater failed to complete it's activities on my 64 bit machine. Sometimes the 64 bit machine has trouble because there are not enough drivers written for it. Maybe it's something like that? Please help.

Sorry to hear about your problem.
A few observations and questions.
(1) The Adobe Creative Suite requires Vista Home Premium as a minimum configuration. Hopefully your notebook system is
not running Vista Home Basic. The fact that it installed would indicate that you are probably running Vista Home Premium.
(2) Exactly where and how did you purchase the CS4 Production Premium? Was it in a sealed box from Adobe or a authorized dealer or was it from eBay or some Warez site?
(3) The fact that it activated on more than two systems is indicative of at least four of the six systems attempted activation using some type of hacked version of the software.
(4) Adobe's communication between your system and Adobe for activation is secure, but obviously, someone may have hacked your system to record keystrokes or otherwise capture data from your system.
Assuming that you indeed made your purchase via a reputable source (i.e., either directly from Adobe or from an authorized dealer) and that you have a receipt for your purchase, I would recommend that you contact Adobe Customer Support, explain the situation and your suspicions and offer to send them a copy of your receipt or a fax of same. They should be able to fix the situation via supplying you with a new serial number and let you enter that number on both your installations and let them reactivate with the new serial number. Make sure you get the names of any persons you speak with at Adobe Customer Support and if you encounter any problems ask to speak with a supervisor. (If you still can't get anywhere with those folks, contact me offline via e-mail and I'll see what I can do to assist.)
In the meantime, I would most strongly recommend that you thoroughly scan your system for viruses, trojans, keyloggers, etc. with updated virus scan definitions and with any one of a number of programs such as "SpyBot" (a free spyware scanner) that can search and destroy any problematic crud that may be infecting your system. You should also make sure you have effective firewall software if you frequent public WiFi locations.

We have a Java application implementing a RMI server.
The server uses with the jacob api in order to generate Word files in a windows system.
My clients work in linux.
The RMI method is synchronized in order not to have problems executing Word from multiple threads.
The application and the RMI server work all right for some time, but after some hours (sometimes days) the client throws the following error:
RemoteException: java.rmi.ConnectIOException: error during JRMP connection establishment; nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Connection reset

This is definitely required even if you are on WAS6.40.
After copying this , you have to also follow the register dll using this command
rgsvr32 "c:\Winnt\system32\librfc32.dll"
check the OS your using wether it is windowsXP/2003 or 2000.
there are seperate commands for them to register the dll.
This is available in the installation guide.
we also had the same problem and then we did this and it worked for us.
f you have done this, then there are other possibilities also
1. Install SOAP toolkit on the CRM server as this is required to establish the connectivity
2. See whether the MAPBOX services are deployed on the SAP J2EE engine
3. Create RFC through SM59 only for mapbox and register them.
4. See if there are any old versions of Java on your machine then uninstall them and install the required java components.

How to directly wire in more than one machine

Hello all,
I am probably going to buy this router. Right now I have one machine right near the cable modem so it can be directly wired in. My laptop and Imac can hook up wirelessly. I see that there is one LAN port for a machine to be directly wired in.
What if I want to wire up more than one machine directly to the Airport Extreme router with actual ethernet cable (for better reliability). There is only one LAN side port. Do I just get a simple ethernet switch and then plug the machines into it? Is that reliable. If so which switch.

Joshua, depending on what kind of Modem your Internet Service Provder has furnished you with you simply run the Ethernet cable from the port you hook a machine to, direct to the WAN port on the Airport EXtreme Base. The one with the circle of dots. The LAN port on the AEBS can be used for hardwired connection, it's the one with 2 arrows pointing away from one and other.
Or you can run an ethernet cable from this same port on the AEBS to a HUB and wire in several, or you can use a multiport switch...
There are a multitude of ways to hook this up and almost all come with a diagram and explain in a step by step... This should do it for you...Good Luck..Don

Application Manager issues and repeated error messages on use of more than two licenses

MY first post and my adobe Mnaager won't update as it keep saying:
"Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure. The Product you are trying to install is not an adobe genuine software and appears counterfeit"
This is a load of rubbish as I have installed everything onto my Laptop and Desktop direct from Adobe. ITs been working fine after an horrifc installation experince when I first signed up when its was clearly launched too early.
I also keep getting flashes of warning saying that I have more than two instances installed which again is a load of rubbish as I only own two machines. Is there anyway of checking and making sure which PC's are signed up incase its been hacked?
Hoping theres some solutions other than going through Adobes Phone lines which never get answered and spent 4 hours trying last Friday to get through with no luck.
PLEASE do not suggest a re-installation and clean install as I have done this four times aleady since joining the cloud and is not acceptable as trying to run a buisness.

I have an existing Remote desktop licensing server, which has users CALs for server 2008. Now I have some windows server 2012 R2, where more than 2 concurrent RDP connections are required.
What I understand that I will need to install RDS server roes on all my Widows Server 2012 and I will need to have at least one RD licensing server to install RDS CALS, that’s all.
If it is correct, the questions is : Can I use my existing license server to add my newly purchased version 2012 RDS user CALs or I will need a new licensing server?
If it is not correct, then what else I need

You can install it on as many machines as you like. You can only have two "Activated" at any one time.
So, before you move your work to another machine, simply deactivate the software on that machine, and the activate it on the next one.
