    Hi,
is this the only time you got this problem? If no then probably you should try installing the jre again or download the latest version from sun.

I'm asking for installing Java Runtime Enviroment. I install, but it does not work. I'm asked to install it evry time I am using Panasonic web camera with microfone and speaker program?

I'm going to answer my own question in hopes it helps someone else. I had the problem immediately after I had installed PS CC.  Once I restarted the computer and tried again, it worked.

  • Uninstall the old Java runtime enviroment 1.4.1_02

I cannot uninstall the old java runtime enviroment 1.4.1_02 from "Add/Romove Program" from Windows XP.
Everytime i click on the remove button there, it's still there after the uninstall process, even i did a restart on it.
As far as i could remember, i installed this runtime while i was using Netscape, but Netscape had been deleted from my computer, therefore i wanna uninstall it as well.
    THANX

Are the files removed from your computer or nothing happens neither in the Control Panel nor in the installation folder? you can solve the problem in several ways: have a look at the registry, if you know what to do... or simply reinstall the whole thing to the same folder you installed it the first time and then redo the uninstall process. IMHO it's only the uninstal file information that are being stored to your computer.
    Ciao

    There is a file in ORACLE_HOME /oracle.swd.jre /bin/native-threads/ java
the program is looking for ORACLE_HOME /oracle.swd.jre /bin/native-threads/ jre
I have not figured out the solution but I hope this information helps for some senior oracle users out there.

  • I need to launch an app that needs java runtime enviro 1.5. It is saying that it is not installed on my mac but I think it is.

I need to launch an app that requires javaruntime 1.5. My mac is saying that it is not installed but when i go into utilities, it looks like it is.
Don't know where to go from here.
    I have version 10.7.3.

I believe that i have the latest version of Java runtime. But my app should be running on it but its not.
Well, either you don't actually have Java, as you think you do, or the app won't run in the latest Java runtime.  Try entering the following command in the Terminal (found in /Applications/Utilities):
    java -version
If that causes an install window to appear, you don't have Java at all.
If it displays a version number, make a note of that version, and ask the developer of the app whether it should run in that version of Java.

  • Java Runtime Enviroment 1.5+

    hello
i am running 10.4.8 on two powerbooks g4. still happy with it.
however i had to re-install from a saved disk image where 10.4.8 plus all my adobe etc etc is already installed-ready-to-go.
in the past this worked well every single time and saved a huge amount of time.
since about 2 yrs i am using an internet stick, and when i just wanted to use it on the freshly installed system (installed from the disk image), the stick's software said "please upgrade to java runtime environment 1.5 or later" - fair enough, but i dont seem to be able to find anything specific.
i am able to run the stick on the other 10.4.8 powerbook g4 which i have, and comparing all "java" files i cant see a difference.
the missing piece must be part of a java package, but which one, and where to find???
who can adive where to download a dmg of the missing software...???
    thank you!

    Hi
Seems like u can get the newer but not the older version. The general rule I think is that you always try out the latest version, if it still fails, then the bug is still there, n they will try to fix it.

  • Updates for Java 2 Runtime Enviroment V1.4.2_08 and Java JRE 1.3.1_01

    Hello everyone,
Thanks again for your help, I have a different question, because in my windows 2003 I have 2 versions, (I suppose)
Java 2 Runtime Enviroment V1.4.2_08 and
Java JRE 1.3.1_01 (Java 2 Runtime Environment Standard Edition v1.3._01)
Anyeone here, that might help me to find out the difference, or JRE 1.3.1_01 is just an old version of V1.4.2_08. Thanks a lot!

To answer " Anyeone here, that might help me to find out the difference, or JRE 1.3.1_01 is just an old version of V1.4.2_08. Thanks a lot!"
Yes. 1.3.1_01 is very old, and 1.4.2_08 contains all the fixes/features/changes that are in 1.3.1_01. There is considerable change between the two.
You are going to have to do some work to figure out the differences if that is your intention.
Each family release moves the code base forward, containing all the features/fixes from the previous family.
1.4.2 introduced new features, and had many, many fixes. Each 1.4.2 update has release notes that list the changes that you can find and read.
    Consider moving to 1.7
    Have fun!

  • Java Updates for Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE V1.4.2_08

    Hello everyone!
I want to update java in a server 2003, with this current version Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE V1.4.2_08. Do you have the link where I can download this latest version.
I was reading this page, regarding Oracle Java SE Critical Patch Update Advisory - February 2013 Link here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/javacpufeb2013-1841061.html, by reading this, I know my version is affected, as I will copy and paste here:
    Affected product releases and versions:
    Java SE      Patch Availability
JDK and JRE 7 Update 11 and earlier      Java SE
JDK and JRE 6 Update 38 and earlier      Java SE
JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 38 and earlier      Java SE
SDK and JRE 1.4.2_40 and earlier      Java SE
    JavaFX 2.2.4 and earlier      JavaFX
But whenever I try to find updates for this version, I only see Java 6 or 7 available. Thanks everybody for your support!

You can still download it from the archives, but you won't be able to get the latest patch versions of it - that is only for paying customers.

I would consider upgrading to Java 7 if I were you. Any software that still needs Java 1.4 is a security risk.

  • Java 2 Runtime Enviroment, SE v1.4.1_06

I have problem when doing Internet Trading. My OS is Window XP Professional using IE6. When doing INternet Trading the Jave applet will apply automatically. Thing will be fine on the opening page and problem occur when I have to switch to other page, it get hang, cant even go back to the 1 st page. I have reset the notebk to log in again!!! Please help!!

If you consider yourself as limited in Java knowledge, and your only involvement in Java is because another one of your programs uses it for its operation, then I recommend that you uninstall Java and then redownload and do a new install. That will most probably resolve the problem in the easiest manner.
Open Control Panel Add/Remove Programs. You will have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed. (you may also have Java 2 SDK installed. Unless you are writing Java programs, it's not needed.) Delete whatever is there.
To install a new version of the Java Runtime (needed by other programs to run applets), go here http://www.java.com/en/index.jsp and click "Get It Now".
If you need both the JRE and SDK, go here http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html

  • Buggy java runtime in 10.1.2 AppServer ?

I'm using external jars (via java importer) within my forms app in 9.0.4 application server. After migration to 10.1.2 we have trouble with one of them. We found out, that using this jar in a 1.4.1_01 / 1.4.2_07 / 1.5.0_05 environment works fine. ONLY in 1.4.2_06 (this one from 10.1.2) we get exceptions. (SOAP Exceptions if using the soap.jar from jdev)
My question: How can I use another java runtime for these external jar's in webforms? Setting JAVA_HOME in default.env has no effect.
    How about updating the AppServer-JDK?
    thanks & greetings, florian.

    thanks Michael!
unfortunately, this doesn't help. At this point we decided to update the JDK globally.
    (1.4.2_06 -> 1.4.2_07)
    This finally solved our problem.

Maybe your classpath is wrong. You can go to the path where is the instalation and into the directory bin you must `type javac or javaws if you obtain a list of options every is ok and you must set the enviroment variable to this path.

  • Install java runtime environment

    Hello;
I am installing the "java 2 runtime environment, se v1.4.2_13", and i set it's path as "c:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2\javaws" in the enviroment variable.
Could anyone tell how i can known i install it properly, please.
At the movement, i am writing a code to connect database with java code by using
SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver 1.1, it always tell me that it could not load the driver. And i am try to make sure i install the java runtime environment properly.

First try something simple like HelloWorld, that doesn't depend on other classes. If that works then you know you have everything setup correct.
If you then have problems with the driver, make sure it is in the class path.
