Java Script Alert When Loading PSE6

Please Please could someone help me with this one, i'm trying to load photoshop elements 6 on to my Mac, but all i get is the following message:
JavaScript Alert
Critical errors were found in setup
incompatible payloads already installed
Please see the setup log file for details
I'd be glad of any advice to sort this problem.

It usually means you had a trial of some adobe product that wasn't properly removed. Did you have the PSE trial? If so there's an uninstaller in the install part of the download or in your applications>utilities folder. Otherwise, manually remove what you can and then run this:
http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html
(It says CS3 but it's for PSE, too) before trying the install again.

  • Uploaded 2.0 now get Java script alert when trying to read e-books in Kobo app

    I bought my tablet when I found out that the Kindle Fire was unavailable in Canada.  I was looking for more than just an e-reader.  I loved my tablet prior to the recent update.  Now I cannot read my books using the Kobo app without constantly acknowledging the JavaScript Alert every time I want to turn a page.  Can anyone help with this?  Is there a fix out there?  I have deleted the app and reloaded it to no avail.  If I had know this was a problem I would never have updated my tablet.

    I got the solution, there was a Invalid char in SOAP response message, i stored the SOAP res msg to a file, parsed that file to remove the invalid char , ans used the soap msg from the file,

  • Java script Alert-"Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation". Can't enable it.

    I am running Windows 7 SP1, Presenter 7.0.0 version 7328 and Powerpoint 2007 (v12.0.6525.1000.)
    My powerpoint file is running in 97-2003 compatibility mode, and I have produced a Presenter project with a link to some web content (a youtube-like video).
    In Firefox browser v23.0.1, I can open the Presenter project from it's html starting point, right click on the SWF presentation as it is running, select global settings, on the advanced tab select trusted location settings, enter the website adress to the youtube-like content, and close the browser, reopen it, and the content launches without a Java script alert.
    The Chrome browser will not do this. (Version 29.0.1547.76 m) (We are not using IE)
    Even setting the web page security permission from the control panel and rebooting will not hold the website in place in the Flash Security settings.
    Even going to the web site and editing directly will not work for chrome - ie, here:
    http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.htm l
    By the term "not hold the setting" I mean upon reboot the website is no longer listed as trusted in global settings, nor in Chrome, nor in Flash security settings via Control Panel in W7. It IS listed in Firefox global settings as trusted, and so the content launches from Firefox, as said.
    Firefox is persistant, Chrome is not, and so - is it a buggy Flash Security setting issue? Or a windows/chrome issue? Or my poor local machine....
    Anyone have any ideas?
    /brad

    Hi Chris:
    Thanks for the fast reply!
    I looked. Unfortunately, the people viewing it have their laptops locked down, so cannot access the Internet, Control Panel or Flash Player Settings. So the suggestions there do not help. Anything that you suggest?
    Is there anything I can do at the production end to help?
    Thanks again for your response. It is a bit of an urgent situation, so I really do appreciate it.

I still can't sign in to the music store, or register my PC for comes with music.  I installed a debugger to see what was going on.  This is my current stage of the problem.....

  • Java Script Errors when clicking on several opened documents

    All of a sudden I started having problems shutting down
    Dreamweaver MX 6.1
    Later , when I open two or more documents I get an error when
    I click on the document in the background.
    A series of dialog boxes come after eachother and say the
    following:
    1. While executing Browse_back enabled in toolbars.xml, a
    java script error occurred
    2. While executing Browse_back enabled in toolbars.xml, a

    java script error occurred
    5. While executing get current value in AddressURL.htm
    enabled in toolbars.xml, a java script error occurred
    I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program several times
    and it did not help. I have also installed Dreamweaver MX 6.1
    updaters with no change.

    You can try this simple fix -
    Quit DW.
    Find this folder -
    C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
    Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
    8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
    (these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
    Explorer > Tools >
    Folder Options to unhide them)
    or on Mac -
    Library/Application Support/Macromedia/Dreamweaver
    8/Configuration/MacFileCache-*.dat
    and delete it.
    Restart DW. Works better?

  • How to fix java exclamation point when loading a game

    hi so i just got my macbook out of repair because of my hardrive failiong and they installed a new one and i had no back up of my operating system so they put it in for me. My software is on 10.6.8 and i have java 1.6.0_51-b11-457. Know when i try to run a java requird website or game it loads and then stops and then comes up with java cup but with a red exclimation point. Can anyone help me with this please?

    So I determined that the error only happens after doing a ppr update on a menu bar in the page template that navigation_renderer.jspx uses.
    Basically a menu item is being periodically updated using af:poll, and then I do a partial update on the menu bar in a managed bean to show the updated menu item. However this is causing the above error.
    Anyone know why this would happen? Or is there another way I should be updating the menu bar.
    Solved! Looks like the problem was with a task flow in the page template.

  • Java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError when loading libaries

    Hi,
    I coded an ejb, in which I want to call funtionality coming from a dll via JNI.
    In order to achieve it I copied the libary 'XXX.dll' to the windows directory system32
    and call in my ejb : System.loadLibary("XXX").
    The following exception occured:
    javax.ejb.EJBException: nested exception is: java.lang.RuntimeException: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no XXX in java.library.path
    Can anybody help me by saying
    1) where to put the .dll and what path to set in calling System.loadLibary(...)
    3) or even where and how to set the java.libary.path variable (Instance Template via configtool?)
    Honour and points are garanteed.
    Jens

    Hi,
    Check This,
    File f = new File("C:");
    System.out.println(f + " \t" + f.exists());
    f = new File(f, "sampleDLL2");
    System.out.println(f + " \t" + f.exists());
    System.load( f.toString() );
    When the library can not be found, you get a java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError with the message "no library in java.library.path". To solve this, move the library in one of the directories specified by java.library.path or alter the property so that it points to the directory containing your library. You can print this property with the following code:
    1: System.out.println(System.getProperty("java.library.path"));
    Another possibility when things do not work is when the DLL can be found, but the methods can not. A DLL exports functions according to specific names an calling conventions. When your compiler is not configured the right way your methods may get anther name than they should be. To solve this, you should include the header file generated by javah and configure your compiler the right way.
    Thanks,
    gopal

  • Java Signing issues when loading web start app

    Hey, not sure if this is the correct place for this - but couldn't think where else to put it...
    I'm a bit stuck at the moment and i wondered if anyone could shed some light on my problem, and where I might go from here.
    We've developed a EJB3 application that has a web start UI for users to start... The application is developed in Eclipse and compiled and deployed with ant build scripts... When we deploy the application from within Eclipse everything runs smoothly and users are able to start the web start app without any problems... However I've recently tried setting up a Continuous Integration server (Hudson) for us to test new deploys on and for this our build scripts need to be run outside of Eclipse...
    This appears to run without a problem, however each time the system is deployed from here the web start application fails to start because web start cannot verify the signing in the client jar
    Could not verify signing in resource: http://10.39.216.5:8080/mist2/lib/mist2-client.jarAs far as I can tell from the output of the build everything goes according to plan and there is little difference between the output if the build had been started in eclipse... The only big difference is that when building in Eclipse the build only packs up the compiled code, because Eclipse auto build the application, whereas in Hudson the code is clean built using the ant scripts (which are created by Eclipse)... and if I turn autobuild off eclipse and build the project from scratch using only the build scripts then the same problem arises...
    I'm not really an expert on jar signing so I can't really guess at what might cause the verification to fail... any hints would be much appreciated. It feels like there is something that the Eclipse compiler does that is missing from the scripts but I can't think what this might be as the scripts are created in Eclipse
    Thanks
    Alex

    Alex,
    I believe your problem might be similar to one I had. According to one forum response (of course I can't find it now), if you have third-party JARs in your application (which in your case would be any eclipse jars), they might already be signed by their originators (as are eclipse jars), which may cause some really strange errors.
    The solution for me was to package my third-party (that is, eclipse) jars into their own feature, separate from my application's feature. So, my main jnlp file has an extension to my application's feature jnlp, and that feature's jnlp file has an extension to yet another jnlp file containing the list of third-party (eclipse) jars. Of course, your jar list will probably be different than mine.
    Here's all three files. Hope this helps!!
