Java update (3 days ago) won't let me play yahoo games anymore. I've tried moving java security to Medium and adding web address as "permissive use". Still nothing. I'd really like a fix. Really, apple? What's your beef with yahoo games?
Installed Java update three days ago. Now, can't play yahoo games as it's now blocked by security settings. Already have tried moving Java security to Medium and adding yahoo.games.com (including web address of game) as a "Permissive exception". Also tried removing java and installing older version. Still nothing. Really Apple?!? What's your beef with yahoo games?

all of the older update versions of Java SE 7 can be found here. If 7u45 also didn’t work with your Yahoo! games, you can choose from any of the even older versions there as well.

I want to change my icloud id on my iPhone, but it won't let me now that i have upgraded. If you still have access to your old email address, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email account and verify it. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. You can now go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your correct iCloud ID and password.
If you don't have access to your old email address, you will have to contact Apple to have them reset the password so you can disable Find My iPhone and sign into your iCloud account. You can either go to https://expresslane.apple.com, select "More Products and Services", then "Apple ID", then on the next page select "Other Apple ID Topics", then "Lost or forgotten Apple ID password" and click "Continue"; or you can contact Apple Support (http://www.apple.com/support/icloud/contact/). -
new macbook pro loaded with mavericks. installed CS3 including prompted Java update. try to open photoshop & empty splash screen pops up-can't go further. tried newer java update-same result. shut down 4 times-same. any suggestions?

You need to contact Apple to get the questions reset, which can be done by clicking here and picking a method for your country, or if that's not an option, by filling out and submitting this form.

Umm,, no offence... but what is ridiculous... is you didn't troubleshoot the original problem but instead you assumed it was a LP9 problem so you updated to LPX which is still in its early days and is likely to be less stable than LP9... rather than more so!
So.. Here's the thing....
LP9 was working fine and then stopped working normally according to you. Therefore what changed at the time LP9 stopped working normally?
Here are just a few ideas to think about.. for around the time this started..
Did you update Logic Pro 9... OS X... Drivers for Midi/Audio or other connected devices?
If you did, did you then restore from a backup you made prior to these problems occuring and what happened when you did so? (assuming you do make backups of your system?)
Did you install any new Apps on your Mac?
Did you add a new Hard Drive? How is it formatted?
Did you start recording or creating music in a different way to how you used to before the problem started?
Have you started using a different SI or FX plugin or plugins.. More or different FX for example.. Did you install a new version of a plugin?
Is all your software legal? (Have to ask because some people install all kinds of illegal plugins and whatever else.. and have no idea how the 'cracks' work or what they might affect/mess up/conflict with in the process)
Have you looked at the System logs to see if anything is happening out of the ordinary when you get these messages?
Have you looked at OS X's Activity monitor to see if any app or routine is kicking in hard when you get this issue?
Basically, you need to think about and look for what changed... because something apparently changed to suddenly cause these issues...given you said you didn't have them until a certain timeframe and some of the questions above, I hope, will get you thinking..
....and maybe a few of the others here will come up with other ideas and suggestions to help you...

I have an app that appeared to need to be updated. I clicked to update three days ago. It has started to update and will not finish. How can I delete the app while its in the middle of updating?Locked on an update can mean a couple of different things. So there are a number of things to try, but start with these.
If you have a "waiting" icon, try tapping on the icon and see if you can pause the update/download. Of it pauses, tap on it again and see if it will resume.
Try holding down on the icon until all of the icons on the screen wiggle. If the X to delete pops up on the waiting/stalled app - tap the X to delete the app. Tao,the home button and the apps will stop wiggling.
You can also try this and see if the downloads will resume. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I am playing card games at Yahoo in my iMac OS X version 10.6.8. Just recently it won't let me play anymore as it won't upload. Kinda frustrating. How can I fix it. The only thing that I know I have done is did an update on my computer.
You have no other option other than to activate that phone with a SIM card. The SIM doesn't need to be an active SIM, however, so any old deactivated SIM will do.

But you need to switch your region/country to the UK store in your account information, as you can't use UK iTunes gift cards in the Irish stores, the gift cards are country specific.

Pages died today. Just downloaded the latest update 2 days ago. Last night shutting down my very new MacBook Pro Retina, Pages stopped shut down. Today Pages will not open, all my Pages docs cannot open. Help please! Anybody have a fix?
You probably have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5 in your Applications folder, will open Pages '09 files but will alter/damage them. It can not open Pages '08 files.
Pages '08/'09 in your Applications/iWork folder which can not open Pages 5 files.
When you were shutting down you probably had an unsaved document open.
You probably are opening the wrong versions of Pages to open the wrong document format.
Pages 5 has had over 90+ features removed.
Most users are going back to Pages 09 whilst Apple sorts this out.

To delete an App you don't want, hold your finger on the app until it starts to jiggle. You'll see an X on the app whle it's jiggling. Touch the X and the app will be removed off your device. It will still be yours however, and it can be downloaded again from the cloud at any time you want. -
since I did the update to OS5 I can't update any apps on my iphone4 and also had to make a new account before it would do the update. now it won't let me sign in to my original itunes and tells me the password is wrong and I know it isn't.
