Java update 51 for Mac OS X 10.6 causes several programs to break, will there be an update for 10.6? I saw that there is one for OS x 10.7 available, but not for any earlier versions

Can anyone tell me if there will be such an update soon, and possible when we can expect this?

Yes, it's Java update 16 for Mac OS 10.6 that broke lots of stuff. The 51 comes from it updating Java to 1.6_51. There is an update to the update for 10.7 and up posted, but is there one for 10.6?
UPDATE: Never mind. If you go to the download page for Java update 16, it appears that it has been silently updated. Although there isn't any indication of the fact that it has been fixed, the build number is different (20.51-b01-457 instead of -456).

I keep receiving a prompt that my account has been disabled, but not for secruity reasons. I had problems almost half a year ago with unauthorized purchases. When I asked Apple about the purchases, instead of providing answers, they said they would disable the account. Not only is that awful customer service and not answering my question, it's a HUGE pain in the butt because I just want to download some music legally!!! With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.

All this sounds like you are confused about the general nature of MIDI Continuous Controllers (MIDI CC). The MIDI specification allows for 128 different CC's: CC0 to CC127. Some are typically "preallocated" to 'standard functions: CC1= Modulation, CC7=Volume, CC10+Pan, CC11= 'Expression'. Some act as switches such as 'Sustain' CC64.

Mainstage works with MIDI CC's generally in a number of ways:
Some standard ones are automatically passed through to all MIDI/Instrument channels unless you specifically block them. Others are not passed through unless you specifically map them to something.
This mapping can be done basically two ways (with MS 2.2):
a) Make a Screen Control in Layout mode, and assign it to a particular incoming MIDI CC message. Then, you can map this Screeen Control to a variety of parameters such as the volume of a particular channel strip.

Yes.
It sounds to me like you have an issue where you have several hardware controls on your Keyboard set up to transmit the same MIDI CC. This is probably not a good idea, and it would be much better if you assigned them to transmit different CC messages (CC1 for Modulation and probably CC11 for the Expression (though you may want to set the pedal to some other number instead.
Once you are transmitting different CC messages, you will be able to Assign and Map much more flexibly:
for example, you could one to control the overall output volume at Concert Level in MS, whilst the other controls the volume of a specific channel within a Patch.
Your issue of layered patches is one of "Scaling": one Screen Control (assigned to an incoming MIDI CC message) needs to alter the ranges of different channel strips to different amounts. You can set this up by using multiple mappings for one Control, each set to work over a particular range (for example a goes from -20 to 0 whilst b goes from -30 to -20 etc.).

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). How to Delete 32 Bit Version of CS6 (but not removing 64 bit version)?

I created a bit of a problem. I have CS6 on a Win 7 64-bit system. I originally installed only the 64 bit version, but then several months later I installed the 32 bit version (don't ask why). Now the following file types are associated with teh 32 bit version: tif, tiff, psd and cr2 (I have associated jpg with a different program, so they are not a problem). I have tried to change the file association by (1) using Control Panel > Default Programs > Associate a file type to associate with the 64 bit version and (2) specifiying the default program from the context menu when right clicking on a file. All to no avail, as these files remain associated with the 32 bit version of CS6.
So I decided to uninstall the 32 bit version. But that won't work either. As you can see from the image, below, I can uninstall the 64 bit version but not the 32 bit version, which is the exact opposite of what I want to do.
I will be happy for any suggestions, either to uninstall the 32 bit version or to get Windows to make the association between the tif, psd and cr2 files and the 64 bit version of CS6.

Because it's a text report and not a selectable list. BTW, just leave them, they only waste a small bit of disk space and don't affect performance.

I currently am running 3.1 but would like to update it to the 4.1 version (not the latest 4.3 version). How do I do this? I have already gone online and downloaded the 4.1 firmware for iPhone 3G but not sure how to install it. I unzipped the file then tried to do the Shift>Update trick but none of the downloaded files could be selected. Am I doing something wrong?

There is no official way to do what you want, that's why the files can't be selected. iOS 4.2.1 is the last officially signed firmware available for your phone. If you want to install any other firmware you'll have to go elsewhere for instructions as such cannot be discussed here, per this forum's terms of use, sorry.

AIR App now crashes with AIR 15 runtime (did not crash with earlier versions of AIR)

We've noticed our AIR application now crashes when the AIR 15 (the latest version available from Adobe) runtime is installed. This did not happen with earlier versions of AIR. The app does not crash when I debug in Flash Builder so I cannot identify the exact issue. The app will crash EVERY time when running the .exe on Windows. The crash happens on Windows XP and Windows 7. The app does not crash on OS X.

Details : For my Selenium automation , i have installed\uninstalled older and new versions on FF. Now
my FF is not opening any links.

I believe I have solved the problem. I have 16mb ram so I went into photo
preferences and raised to 75% what is available for photo
I also reduced the cache from 6 to 2. The last two sessions the coloured
ball has not appeared. Hope this might be usefull to others

It sounds like maybe 8.0.1 has downloaded onto your phone but not installed. You can check for it in Settings > General > Usage > Storage, Manage Storage. If it's there you should see it at the top of the list of apps. Swipe to delete it. 8.0.1 was pulled by Apple quickly after it was introduced due to issues and replaced by 8.0.2. Once it's deleted you should be able to download and install 8.0.2.
