Java Viewer not Working in Firefox

I'm running CR 11 R2 SP5 and the Java viewer works in Chrome and Safari but not in Firefox. I'm running Firefox v3.5.2. No error messages just a blank Grey screen.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Rich

Try enabling Java Scripts in Firefox, I believe by default it is disabled

    google street view not working on firefox 14.0.1 - after moving the person to the map it goes blank. Have tried the fixes in the community support. Still works fine in IE

    Do you have Flash installed? You need a different version of it for Firefox. The plugin for IE will not work with Firefox. You can get it here:

  • Java is not working with Firefox (but is working with Safari)

    My computer is showing that Java is not enabled via Firefox. When I try to go into Tools/Add-ons, I see that there is no Java plug-in on that list (though I previously had no problem with Java). When I run software update on my Mac, it tells me my software is all up to date. Not sure what else to do. Java is working in Safari, so the problem is clearly with Firefox. I've tried disabling all my plug-ins, and clearing my cache. Nothing has helped.

    Apple has removed support for the Java Plugin2 with the latest Java Update 10 for OS X 10.5 Java version, so the Java plugin is no longer available for Firefox versions and other browsers like Google Chrome that require the Java Plugin2.
    There will be fix for this in Firefox 6 or in Firefox 5.0.1 if that version will be released, so that Firefox will find the plugin again.
    I don't know if all Java applets will still be working on OS X 10.5 with this fix (Apple recommends updating to OS X 10.6).

  • Java Applets not working with Firefox 5 properly

    Java Applets work sometime. But after sometime the Java icon at the bottom (near date & time) disappears. After this no matter what I do it does not work. Java Applets are used in this case to draw charts. The same charts come out properly in Internet Explorer. But I prefer using Firefox for its speed. What is the reason for this problem ?

    -> Tap ALT key or press F10 to show the Menu Bar
    -> go to Help Menu -> select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled"
    Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:
    -> Update ALL your Firefox Plug-ins https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/
    -> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> unselect All Unwanted toolbars
    -> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Content -> place Checkmarks on:
    1) Block Pop-up windows 2) Load images automatically 3) Enable JavaScript
    -> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Privacy -> History section -> ''Firefox will: '''select "Remember History"'''''
    -> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Security -> place Checkmarks on:
    1) Warn me when sites try to install add-ons 2) Block reported attack sites 3) Block reported web forgeries 4) Remember Passwords for sites
    -> Click OK on Options window
    -> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
    -> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
    You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

  • Why would the Java Plugin not work in Firefox 5 on Mac SnowLeopard? I have the most recent version but am unable to use any Java features on Firefox 5. Firefox 3.6 works with the same Java but 5 will not.

    Most recent version of Java and firefox. Java Applications will start to load but end up in an infinite loading loop.

    Well, it's what I did to get my Java working in Firefox 4. I installed both binaries into my Library/Internet Plug-ins folder. The version was newer that what was previously installed (newer version is 0.9.7.5). It solved the Java problems I was having. My inital problem was that Java would not initiate and no applets would run in Firefox version 4 which I just installed a few days ago.
    I know the readme.txt. says it is not compatible with version 4, but the release date on 0.9.7.5 is after the release date of Firefox 4 and so that was I tried it. I figure there was nothing to lose as at worst it woud update my two plug-in files. Nothing was going to be changed otherwise. If you try it, it might work.

  • Java script not working in firefox browser

    hi,
    I created my application in struts and it was running perfectly in Internet explorer. My application is a public facing application so now i am in need to run the application in Firefox and safari browsers.
    While running the application in those browsers i am facing the problem in javascript.
    function change() {
              if(document.usedCarSearchForm('usedCarSearchDto.blockCode').selectedIndex==0){
                   document.usedCarSearchForm.command.value="executeLoad";
                   document.usedCarSearchForm.submit();
              }else {
                   document.usedCarSearchForm('usedCarSearchDto.block').value=document.usedCarSearchForm ('usedCarSearchDto.blockCode').options[document.usedCarSearchForm('usedCarSearchDto.blockCode').selectedIndex].text;
                   document.usedCarSearchForm.command.value="executePrefectureLoad";
                   document.usedCarSearchForm.submit();
        }I am calling this onchange() function,
    document.usedCarSearchForm('usedCarSearchDto.blockCode').selectedIndex
    this line is not working
    Help me to resolve this issue.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Atlast i found the solution. Its very small change, I changed document.usedCarSearchForm ('usedCarSearchDto.blockCode'). To
    document.usedCarSearchForm ['usedCarSearchDto.blockCode'].
    Now its working.
    I hope this will be useful.
    Thanks.

  • Java will not work on Firefox 3.6 and 4.0.Why?

    After upgrading toFirefox 3.6 and 4.0 cannot get Java to work.
    Uninstalled several times with both versions,and reinstalled the same.As soon as Iclick on a Java site Firefox freezes and does not respond

    Friends,
    Everytime you upgrade firefox 3.6 onwards In win XP you are advised to upgrade Flash player and now for FF 3.6.8 player 10.1.54.. I don't find any justification.I would rather suggest user of Mozilla to clear the unwanted file created on macromedia flash player at C:\Documents and Settings\(**type__yuorfoldername)\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects> then except for s.ytimg.com ,ww.youtube.com you can safely delete the other junk.Thn move on to E:\Documents and Settings\ **type your foldername)\Application Data\Macromedia\Flash Player\macromedia.com\support\flashplayer\sys perform similar exercise. However this is my suggestion you may at your own risk . Chinu Ray

    You might want to look in your control panel for 'Java' icon. It should give you an option to enable java plugin into your browser. Let me know if you still face the issue.

  • FORMS VIEWER NOT WORKING FIREFOX 22

    Yesterday my IBM FORMS VIEWER worked, since update 22 it does not. I had the same problem with update 21 but it was fixed by changing plugins.loadappdir.plugings to true. The setting still is set at true but the program does not work. Firefox is not opening the files, The check java website shows I have the latest and correct version if that matters.
    Verified Java Version
    Completion checkmark
    Congratulations!
    You have the recommended Java installed (Version 7 Update 25).
    please offer a fix, we use this to download orders from our large customers and need it fixed.

    Hi debrod25, that's interesting.
    The Application preferences are stored in a file named mimeTypes.rdf in your current personal settings folder (your active Firefox profile folder). The source of data in this file is not completely clear to me. I believe its sources include the Windows registry, especially the data types handled by different plugins, and your choices when instructing Firefox how to open different downloads.
    It is prone to occasional corruption, in which case it can be rebuilt from scratch by exiting Firefox and renaming the file.
    Unfortunately, mimeTypes.rdf is difficult to read and tricky to edit. However, it is possible and of course it's easy to make and if necessary restore a backup.
    The file can be found by opening the currently active profile folder from inside Firefox using
    Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button<br>
    (Mac: "Show in Finder" button)
    If you decide to edit this file, for example, by copying an entry from the file on one computer to another, please make a copy first for possible restoration, and exit Firefox because otherwise your changes may be overwritten during shutdown.

  • Java does not work at all upon using the update manager to update to firefox 3.6.10 for Ubuntu 9.0.4

    OS: Ubuntu 9.0.4
    Browser: Firefox 3.6.10
    upon updating to firefox 3.6.10, java does not work at all.
    websites that use java do not work at all anymore, when they worked just fine before the updating thru update manager. e.g. hulu website cannot play any of the shows.
    i can give the folder of bookmarked pages i tried.
    how to do that on here, i've yet to see if possible.
    i can even give saved text from the terminal concerning certain attempts.
    when i updated thru update manager, it gave some weird java plugin that wasn't there before "The IcedTea Web Browser Plugin IcedTea6 Java Web Browser Plugin (execution of applets on webpages)".
    i uninstalled this as instructed by an answer found in one of the pages i saved, cuz it was conflicting w/another java program the updater said i needed. right now, i don't remember for sure what it was. it perhaps was realplayer flash or Java itself. w/all the hours/days of searching i put in, it's difficult if not downright impossible for me to remember all the specifics of what i tried.
    i've searched throughout many webpages (including many searches on mozilla, ubuntu, java, etc) for instruction in fixing the problem.
    oh, and incidentally, on the Java site, when i try the verify test of Java, firefox pops up with that yellow bar right below the slew of tabbed website windows, giving the statement "additional plugins are required to display all the media on this page. (w/link to) install missing plugins ." which is what i do, go thru the requesting plugin installation. it comes up with, guess what, the IcedTea Java Plugin. i click on the 'next' in the "Plugin Finder Service" box that pops up, & all it gives me is "No plugins were installed. IcedTea ...Plugin failed. and the link 'find out more about plugins or manually find missing plugins'". the link takes me to some of the very things/plugins that wouldn't install in the first place. the Java test failure is a LOL funny, as what plugin it is saying is required (IcedTea) is a recommended alternate program to display the very test in the first place.
    i followed the given instructions on those many searched pages, in every case (barring what i may have just plain missed), but to no avail.
    i've even gone to the point of trying to reinstall the previous 3.5.13 firefox version, from mozilla site. even that wouldn't install.
    i've tried installing Java for my sys direct from it's site. nada.
    now it's time for me to post the problem & perhaps someone will come up with some kind of "dummy" way to fix it.
    until then many sites a regularly use are totally useless to me on this fast puter.
    the only way i can get to use such sites, are two choices: 1. use a dinosaur laptop, which is slower than molasses & cannot handle to any streaming stuff, or 2. use an available internet access puter at the library. but useage for ea person per day is limited to only one hour a day. and one can end up waiting for an hour or more ( in the busiest periods) to even get to use one.
    so, is there anyone at all, who knows any for-sure working fix for this problem?
    thanks muchly :^D
    p.s. i can't pay anybody any money for such help, as is required in certain sites (e.g. Java website), cuz i don't have any.
    i can pay in labor tho, if there is someway to find someone who can physically be at this puter w/me, taking me step-by-step
    sorry for the 20-pg essay. i hope it was all clearly understood. if, not, well, clear communication is always what is needed, ask away.

  • Java 7 Update 11 Not Working with Firefox

    For me, the problems described in the thread "Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox? " Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox?
    are continuing with Java 7 Update 11.
    Windows 7 64 bit
    Firefox 18
    The problem is that "Java(TM) Platform" is missing from the plug-in list.
    I've uninstalled Java 7 Update 11 and reinstalled Java Update 9 which correctly installs the plugin and restores Java functionality which was broken immediately upon installing both Java 10 & 11.

    So why not using Ju11 ? You can workaround the issue. It would sucks but still be safer than using Ju9.
    Also ask Mozilla forums if Firefox has options where to search for plugins.
    Or try 64-bit Firefox.As I explained in both threads ...
    Java 7 Update 10 Not Working with Firefox?
    Java 7 Update 11 Not Working with Firefox
    ... neither jre7u10 nor jre7u11 are working ... and they are BOTH broken with the same problem ... "Java(TM) Platform" pliugin is missing from the plug-in list. It cannot be enabled, because it simply is NOT there. A suggestion was made the jre7u12 will be the "fix" for this issue ... so I installed the Update 12 Preview and it sis ALSO broken, no "Java(TM) Platform" in the plug-in list.
    The ONLY Java version that actually works for me is jre7u9.
    As far as installing Firefox 64bit ... I see no future in installing a browser that has been discontinued.
