  • Itunes wont install on my computer. its a geteway with vista.

i tunes wont install? it will downlaod no problem and have an error while installing and wont continue? any idea why?

I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • My zen 4gb wont install on my compute

First of all: I'm sorry if my english is a little?bad..
I have a creative zen 4gb. What's weird is that it installed on my computer without problems at first. Then after a while I uninstalled the software that came with the cd(had some memory problem with my comp.) because I didn't think it was necasary for my Zen to work.
When I plugged the player into the pc again, the gray box with installation of new driver came up, and when I was finished with that, it just said? "a problem occured, the device is not installed".
I reinstalled the software for the player, and it still didn't work.
I don't know what to do! I've tride the troubleshoothing on this page, and to update my usb dri've.
Anyone have any idea what to do?
I also read somewere that wmp could have something to do with it, 'couse I updated to just before the problem occured. If that can be the problem... could someone tell me how I roll windows media back to 0?
    Thanx

you should have installed the software first (before plugging in your player).
when you were charging it for the first time, was it working normally (i.e. you've seen the red wallpaper etc.)?

  • New Itunes wont install on my computer

When i tried to install the new itunes it came up with a message half way through saying that:
Threre is a problem with this windows installer package. A program required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.
    Please help !!

    (1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
    http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
    (2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
    (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
    (4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
    (5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

  • HT5945 java wont install on a brand new mac.

This is a brand new mac and there do not appear to be any previous versions of java installed. When I download Java 7 from oracle
    as per the instructions here:
    http://www.java.com/en/download/help/mac_install.xml
    downloaded from here:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-downloads-j avase7-521261.html#jdk-7u45-oth-JPR
No joy. it just stops working on the install step. (no errors, it just doesn't respond).
I've tried installing this which also doesn't work (exact same result - does not respond on the install step):
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572
on all the other support tickets regarding problems installing java, the above two resources were repeatedly referred to, but they do not work for a new mac with mavericks installed and no previous version of java.
    Please help.

    mdmfolsom,
the 7u45 version of Java is not the latest version. At this writing, 7u51 is the latest version. To download the 7u51 Java Runtime Environment (“JRE”), go here. To download the 7u51 Java Development Kit (“JDK”), go here.

Keep uninstalling and reinstalling program...nothing is working.
    PLS HELP!

    I am Very Confused,
I would recommend creating a new user account with administrative rights.
In order to do this, I’ve taken the following from the
    Create a User Account page:
    “To create a local account
Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap
Settings, and then tap Change PC settings.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click
Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)
    Tap or click
Accounts, and then tap or click Other accounts.
    Tap or click
Add an account, and then tap or click Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).
    Tap or click
    Local account.
Enter a user name for the new account.
If you want this person to sign in with a password, enter and verify the password, add a password hint, and then tap or click
    Next.
If your PC is on a domain, depending on the domain's security settings, you might be able to skip this step and tap or click
    Next, if you prefer.
    Tap or click
    Finish.”
To give this account administrative rights, highlight the account you just created that is listed on the
Other Accounts screen.  Click Edit and select Administrator for the account type.
    Click OK and log out.
Log back in with the account you just created.
You should be able to perform any administrative tasks at this point.
    I hope this helps.

  • ITunes wont install on a computer running Window XP Pro 64 bit

I own an ipod and have been a subscriber to itunes for years. I just had my computer rebuilt from a system crash. I had window XP Pro 64 bit OS installed & now i cant reinstall itunes. How do i get my itunes back? Do you have a version of itunes that works on a 64 bit OS that is NOT Windows Vista?

I hope Apple will present a solution ASAP so we don't have to trash our iPhones and iPods! Software applications for multi-media require more gigs of RAM; and therefore, 64bit computers, that can take 120Gs, are becoming more attractive.

I am running WINDOWS XP and I get the same message as ITunes 10.6.1. installs. "A program required for this install to complete could not be run. contact your support personnel or package vendor."  The installation then terminates itself.
The message comes up while installing my current edition ITunes 10.3 with QuickTime, but the program seems to ignore this message and completes the installation.
What program is missing so that ITunes can be installed without any problems?
