Actually any kind of JAVA test would be appreciatedJust search Google for "mock SJCP exam". And if you really want to use it for employment test: stop testing for Java knowledge and start testing for programing skills. Those things are rather unrelated, and the latter surely is more important.

SCWCD practice test!?

Greetings,
Does somebody try a practice test for SCWCD1.4 exam? I used to buy from selftestsoftware.com, however they don't have one. A one with online mentor, answers explaination, and similar featurs will be perfect. I think Sun.com's one is good however, it's not interactive, it's just a PDF file, furthermore, too much expensive.

Are the Authorized Practice Test Suppliers supplying identical Materials?

There appear to be certain concerns that the authorized Practice Test Providers Self Test Software and Transcender are supplying identical materials (at least for recent exams).
Both organizations are now, to my best understanding, part of Kaplan IT Learning
By identical materials I mean identical Practice Tests (or where a substantial number of Questions are similar or one is a subset of the other).
The problem arises when a candidate, understandably wishing to maximize the number of practice questions they have, and trying to stay on the right path by using authorized providers, understandably buys practice tests from both only to find they have bought a lot of duplicate material.
This in my opinion a very bad outcome from trying to use the authorized practice test providers.
While the unauthorized sites in the+illegal+ end of he practice exam market are forever supplying the same materials it is bad if the authorized suppliers doing the same. (It is not enough IMHO for one to supply 20% more than the other but the rest of the questions in common and with a little extra additional notes beside).
I have emailed Transcender and Self Test Software to confirm this is the case or to explain/refute any allegations.
Please note all due acknowledgements for the poster of Re: OCP practice exam question for bringing this to attention.
PLEASE BE AWARE I HAVE NO FIRST HAND EVIDENCE THIS DUPLICATION OF MATERIAL SUPPLIED HAS IN FACT OCCURRED. It is actually possilble this poster may have accidently obtained material from a spoof site by mistake. But I certainly believed they were acting in good faith.

Well I have received a email frm Kaplan IT Selftestsoftware saying according to their recording my complaint has been resolved.
and I have received a email frm Kaplan IT Transcender saying according to their recording my complaint has been resolved.
Both were from the same person.
They did give a link for their discussion board: my.kaplanit.com/Support/IT/itsweb/Lists/Service Desk complaints and suggestions/AllItems.aspx (requires username/password).
I think I can reasonably make the following statement:-
If you buy practice tests from both SelfTestSoftware and Transcender for a particular exam you risk disappointment in finding a lot of the tests and answers you recieve are duplicated.
IMHO Probably if you want slightly fewer answers and cheaper, go for SelfTestSoftware; higher quality and slightly more questions go for Transcender.
I think there's a big trap here for the unwary. There's nothing strictly wrong in Oracle saying they have two providers and not indicating they may have a comon provision source. Anyway there's some marketing guy somewhere dining well on some certification candidate's disappointments :-(
The would DISHONOURABLE springs to mind.

I have one Drivers.xml file in /WEB-INF that i want to read .but everytime i get exception file not found..
i m trying to read this xml file in DriverUtilties.java (a non servlet class)

Most of the Java Libraries (java.lang.*, java.util.*, etc) and other APIs are written in Java.
The compiler can be written in Java, but I think that most are probably written in a native language. The compiler turns your .java files into bytecode, which can then be read by ANY JVM, regardless of the platfrom.
The JVM will always be written in some native language. On Windows systems, that will usually be C/C++, while on IBM mainframes it can vary. The JVM is in a native language because it is what's responsible for "translating" the compiled bytecode into machine language that the platform can understand.
.java text files are platform-independent.
.class bytecode files are platform independent.
Most APIs (except ones that do platfrom specific actions) are platform independent bytecode.
The JVM is native code, because it is what turns all the platform independent code into something the native platform can read.
This explanation is awfully general, but it should give you a good idea of how it all works.

I have just installed J2SE 1.4.2 on my computer, and I am trying to compile and run a simple test program.

I think it compiles ok but when i try to run it I get the following error:

Is there something else I need to install, or a setting that needs to be changed?

You also need to set your $CLASSPATH variable to the directory you have for class files. Set it to like CLASSPATH=/directory/classdirectory/:. and export CLASSPATH. You need to put these two in your profile file.
your profile should be reloaded for the variable to get set. Or you could set the variable on the command line before you run your program.
I hope this solves your problem. Most of the time this is the problem's solution.

There isn't a practice test available for the FCP7 T3 exam. If you fail the first exam you are allowed one retake for an additional fee. Consider that your test exam. If you fail the first exam and the retake you must attend the T3 course again.

Each practice test is of most value the first time you see it, after that retaking it is of less value as one may remember the answer.
And go over your correct and and incorrect answers to improve your understanding.
Take your last test just before your last opportunity to reschedule your exam and with enough time to go over it!

How to connect CRM 7 to Java Backend? Test?

How do I connect the CRM ABAP stack to an installed standalone (as per install guide) stack? I have followed the install manual but I still do not see how the connection is made!
How do I test this connection to know whether it is working or not? (ABAP CRM calling something in Java CRM component)
Also how do I attach my installed TREX?

Read Certificate in java written by safenet client

I need to develop a simple java application that connects to a smartcard which has a card with a certificate written by a SafeNet Client.
I tried using smartcardio and I successfully managed to view that the card is inserted and read its ATR. But is was not able to find a correct ADPU bytes array that will help me to somehow read the certificate stored on the card.
Any thought will be highly appreciated.

not sure if you really need to use ow-level APDU commandos to a smartcard, while there are Java compatible API's available. On the other hand SafeNet is very restrictive when it comes down to provide the APDU's for most of their cards.
I would recommend a different approach, most cards ship with a middleware that offers JCA/JCE security providers, from whom it is very easy to grab a certificate and do whatever operation that is required with the related keys. If there is no JCA/JCE provider available, you could use the PKCS#11 provider and hook it to java using SunPKCS.
Of course that would require to install SafeNets Authentication Client to provide the middle-ware, which might not be available on some exotic OS'es.
