Java1.4.2_04 will run on later versions of JRE?

hi,
I am trying to upgrade my server from WindowsNT to Windows2008 where my current Java applications version is 1.4.2_04.
Is it possible to run my applications designed in Java 1.4.2_04 on later versions of JRE which are compatible to windows2008 servers?
If not how best this can be done without upgrading the Java 1.4.2_0 version ?

ColdFusion 9 is supported on WebSphere Application Server ND 6.1, ND 7
Doesn't mean that it won't work on other versions, it probably will, but you can't get Adobe support on unsupported configurations.

Where can I find information about which AIR SDKs can target each version of iOS.
Specifically, we are updating our app from AIR SDK 3.4 to the current 3.7; however, we aren't sure which versions of iOS the new SDK will work with.
There is an air faq (http://www.adobe.com/products/air/faq.html#) which states that "Adobe AIR 3.5 supports iOS 6", but my question concerns how an AIR app produced for the newer iOSs will run under older iOSs.

My ipod touch will not download latest version of itunes 11. Our pc is windows.
Itunes cannot find the device to sync because it all relates back to not being able to downloand the latest version of itunes.
We also have a shuffle and it works fine. We can use 2 devices for one Itunes account.
My daughter is 11 and she has never downloaded her ipod from our pc because of the download problem.

iTunes 11 is for computers only, the built-in apps on an iPod (and iPad and iPhone) are part of iOS (i.e. its operating system) on them and can only be updated by updating the whole iOS version. Do you have iTunes 11 installed on your PC ? On iTunes on a PC I think that you can check if updates are available to it via the iTunes 'Help' menu, or you can download the current version of iTunes from here and then run/install it : http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

App store page says OS 10.7 will run on "late 2008" macbook what is "late" by apple's definition?

Mine was built the first week of Sep.2008t so if apple defines by quarters then it won't run on mine but I have seen "mid" and "early" so if they divide the year into thirds then I'm okay.
Might I add in case any Apple folk read this that using such terms sounds casual/conversational but when it becomes important as to usage or compatibility the "built after September 1, 2008" would be more precise.

Again I fault Apple if Mende1 is correct they should state a requirement for Intel Core 2 Duo NOT "late 2008" which would mean Yes. If Niel is correct I can't upgrade as mine was made in week 37.

Could I download a disguised virus in a fake Firefox update? Ever since the last upgrade none of my .exe files will run. The version number of the upgrade was lower than the latest version. My computer is in real trouble!

Query re versions of JRE on the desktop

I am new to OTN so please forgive me if this question is a bit stupid. Does a later version of JRE incorporate earlier versions ie is it backward compatible?
We are upgrading to JRE 1.6.0.23 for Oracle EBus Suite 11.5.10.2. One of our clients has indicated that they run an application which "is only compatible with JAVA 1.6.0_18". Is it possible for them to install JRE 1.6.0.23 on the desktop and run this other application successfully? I'd appreciate any advice or if someone could point me in the direction of the relevant documentation.

Which one is invoked from a shell / command prompt depends on which one is first in the PATH unless you specify the full path.
Which one is invoked from a web browser depends on the html
or if the html does not specify the version the default is used and how the default is configured probably depends on the OS.

How do I find which of the later versions of OS-X will run on my 24" iMac?

If you have iPhone 3G, the latest and greatest is IOS 4.2.1.
If you have iPhone 3GS or later, you can only update to IOS 6.0.1.
For iPhone 5 and iPad mini, you can update to IOS 6.0.2.

Hi. I have a Mac running OS 10.9.4, Mavericks.
I'm wondering if anyone knows which old versions of Adobe Flash Professional will run on Mavericks.
I owned Flash years ago — around 1999. I stopped usng it a few years later because that version was for PowerPC Macs only and I bought an Intel Mac.
I don't need the scripting features. I'm looking simply to make .swf drawings and maybe some basic animations. But there aren't any real alternatives for Mac.
I recently had to install Windows on my Mac to run a Windows program. So I also downloaded a trial of a Windows program called SwiSH miniMax4 that can create .swf content. It's only $69 and it has most of the features I need.
Except for one feature: a drawing tool that recognizes pressure sensitivity from a graphics tablet. Flash, even in 1999, had a drawing tool (it might have been called a "brush") that let you draw freehand and it recognized pressure sensitivity from a graphics tablet. It made it possible to create drawings that didn't look at all like they were done in a vector tool.
Anyway, I'm thinking of maybe looking for an old version of Flash Professional on ebay. But I don't want to spend a lot of money and I have no idea which versions are compatible with Mavericks.
I'm thinking that the oldest version that will work under Mavericks would be just fine for me, since the version I owned in 1999 had all the features I'm looking for today.

It is highly unlikely that a person on this forum is using the version of Flash Professional that you have with you. While it is possible that the version you have could probably run on Mavericks, it surely hasn't been tested for the OS. Consider yourself lucky if you find a person here with a similar issue that has solved the problem.
