JavaBean Barcode Printing Demo - Can't post to 9i Report Service

Anyone tested the Barcode Javabean in Oracle 9i Demo?
We have tested it under Windows and Solaris 9i DS; but when trying to port to 9i Report service, always got problem.
Looks like 9i Report Service couldn't get the path of class. But checked it is within.
Can anyone kindly advise?
Thanks!

I have tried it and it works under Windows 2000.
But I encountered the follows error in my production system running UNIX Solaris 9ias Rel 2:-
"REP-1401: 'beforereport': Fatal PL/SQL error occurred.
ORA-39565: Message 39565 not found; product=RDBMS; facility=ORA"
Explored and changed the CLASSPATH and REPORT_CLASSPATH in the following files and yet still cannot work.
1) .../iasr2/bin/reports.sh
2) .../iasr2/reports/conf/rep_portal.conf
& tried
3) .../iasr2/forms90/server/default.env
4) .../iasr2/reports/config/reportsConfig.properties
Urgent! Any help will be greately appreciated.

    ==================================================================
    Hi Sam,
    Could you be more specific on what you are going to do with RS?
    BPC, as you know, uses Windows AD. If you intend to use RS in BPC, you have already introduced Windows AD and BPC access security for RS.  But only given RS report is eligible in this case.
    If you want to make a report that refers to business data of BPC, and need to pass argument as query parameter such as what category, what entity, not possible actaully, no way to make it happen with standard feature of BPC. But you can think of possibility of customizing and need to find out how to pass the argument for a user(read ACS table containing security info).
    Reg. the reporting tool, if you are using 7.5, BO products is aligned well. Xcelsius and Voyager will be a tool for your requirement.

  • SCCM 2012 R2 Cu1: Can I reinstall the Reporting Services Point role without delete or change the SSRS-DB?

    Hi, I have some issue with the reports,
    Can I reinstall the SCCM Reporting Services Point role without delete or change the SSRS-DB (just reset the SCCM SSRS function)?
    I have saved/backup the custom made reports.
    /SaiTech

    Yes you can remove and reinstall the Role.  I had to do this recently on our SCCM 2012 R2 due to an issue with the reports not loading.   Found out that the problem with reports was from the upgrade to R2 from 2012 SP1 and was able to run
    a command to re-register the reports with WMI.  I actually removed the role, uninstalled reporting services feature from SQL, deleted the report databases, reinstalled the SQL feature, configured the reporting databases again, added the role back, and
    ran the following command.
    mofcomp "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Shared\sqlmgmproviderxpsp2up.mof"
    This allowed all my reports to register as they should have and run without errors.  If you are having similar problems, you may be able to just run that command to get reports running without all the extra work I did.  For us we were getting an
    invalid Class error in the srsrp.log.

    how can i poster print using my officejet pro 8600plus? my 8500 had this feature.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Yes, the Officejet 8500 driver works with full capability on the Officejet 8600.
    You do not delete the 8600 port, you just right click on the Officejet 8600, select Printer Properties, Ports and just find which port the 8600 is using.  After you write this down click Cancel to exit this part.  I would suggest you leave the Officejet 8600 driver installed, you can install the version with the Officejet 8500 driver and just select the printer you want at print time.

  • Oracle Apps 11i - Pasta Setup for Barcode print in rdf file

    Hi All,
    Since last some days i am trying to setup Oracle Apps 11i to print barcode reports (RDF files)  from concurrent manager.
    If anybody have any idea about how to configure pasta to print post script files which support barcode, please suggest.
    I have already read many documents but not able to do that. In one of pasta document i found that, pasta support two type of TrueType font. One can be used for regular text and second can be used (bold) for barcode printing. But it shows barcode font as a regular font.

  • Barcode printing - Upload Method

    Hi Friends,
    I would need good documentation/ link on Upload method in Barcode printing.
    ie Labels Designed using Third party software and uploaded into SAP using SAP Script programming.
    Thanks,
    Preema

    Hi,
    It seems if you are generating barcode using third party tool, you must be able to export it as a bitmap. I really doubt, how you can freeze the contents of your barcode? if the barcode content is same in your scenario, then you need to upload the bitmap like anyother image and use them in SAPScript.
    If you want to upload the fonts then you need to do that thru' SE73.
    Include in character format and use in SAPScript.
    Hope I have understood your scenario. If wrong please revert back.
    As far as printing is concerned,
    All you need to check is
    1. Whether the printer supports Barcode. If it does not support barcode, then you will need to buy a DIMM card or barcode.dll file. You can get a demo file from net.
    2. You need to install DIMM Card to your printer. or You need to install Barcode.dll file in SAPLpd directory in the front end PC.
    or
    3. You can buy software that you can upload in your SAP print Server that will convert the barcode symbology as an image that will print on a regular laser printer. But option results in less sharper barcodes. This option is really if you need to convert a large quantity of printers (>10) to support barcodes.
    For complete information always you can go to SAP Help.

    Dear Experts,
    Barcode Printing from EP --using barcode4J
    we want to print employee number as barcode in EP(version 6.4 SP 19).
    we tested the barcode creation a standalone class, it works fine
    Sample Code as follows
    ================================
    Code128Bean bean = new Code128Bean();
                 final int dpi = 150;
                 //Configure the barcode generator
                 bean.setModuleWidth(UnitConv.in2mm(1.0f / dpi)); //makes the narrow bar
                                                                               //width exactly one pixel
                 bean.setWideFactor(3);
                 bean.doQuietZone(false);
                 //Open output file
                 File outputFile = new File("out.jpg");
                 OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(outputFile);
                 try {

                      BitmapCanvasProvider canvas = new BitmapCanvasProvider(
                                out, "image/jpeg", dpi, BufferedImage.TYPE_BYTE_INDEXED, false);
                   //BarcodeServlet.
                      //Generate the barcode

                 } finally {
                      out.close();
    <b>But the same code i put in wdDoModifyView() or wdDoInit() it throws class not found exception</b>. I have checked that barcode4j.jar and all relevant files are in classpath.
    Any help will be rewarded.

  • Issue with Barcode printing in SAPscript

    Hi All,
    I am trying to print barcode in my script. I assigned barcode font to the numbers which I want in the form of barcode, I am able to see barcode in the print preview but when I am trying to take printout , in printout barcode is not appearing.
    I try same barcode font with the smartform I am getting barcode in the printpreview as well as in the printout of the smartform with the same printer.
    Can any one help me in this issue. Is there any other setting required in the smartform or its driver program?
    Thanks.
    Shweta.

    Hi
    It depends on which kind of barcode fornt you're using.
    In last SAP release there's a new tecnique to print the barcode by smartform: this tecnique translate the barcode as graph so the printer manages the baracode just as if it was a logo and It doesn't need any other hardware or software to print a barcode.
    This tecnique is available for smartform only, else u make sure your printer can print a barcode, you can see a dummy barcode in preview.
    I have had your same problem, and I found out this very usefull answer in the forum:
    Barcode Printing issue using Forms
    Hi, In general, if you want to print a barcode, somebody must draw the bars of the
    barcode to get a correct print. There are four possible ways to print barcodes from SAP:
    1. Print e.g. via a Barcode DIMM/SIMM To use this way, the printer must be able to print
    barcodes by itself so it needs e.g. a special barcode SIMM/DIMM module to print the
    barcodes. ie: HP printers do not contain barcode fonts by default so a DIMM module with
    the fonts must be installed. The print works as follows: The SAP sends a simple printer
    escape sequence to the printer, which activates the barcode printing in the printer. Then
    the SAP sends the barcode number and finally it sends a printer escape sequence, which
    switches the printer back to normal printing. So in this way the bars of the barcode are
    created in the printer (and you only see a dummy barcode in the print preview). Se the
    SAP Note 45643 about the sequences for Jetcaps BarDIMM used for printing barcodes on HP
    Laserjet printers. The correct BarDIMM modules for different HP printer models can beseen
    on the JetMobile website at the URL below: http://www.jetmobile.com/products/SJ_BD.htm
    2.Print via a barcode.dll If your printer doesn't have a barcode DIMM, it cannot create the
    bars of the barcode itself. So this must be done elsewhere. One possibility is that you
    print via a Windows system, SAPSprint or SAPLPD, device type SAPWIN and a barcode.dll.
    ie: Your printer is connected to a Windows system that runs the SAPSprint or SAPLPD
    program If you print via device type SAPWIN, the creation of the print data is done in
    the Windows. So the Windows may create a graphic, which contains the bars of the barcode,
    and send this graphic to the printer. The job to create the barcode graphic is done by
    the barcode.dll. See SAP note 14561. 3. New barcode technology If your printer doesn't
    have a barcode DIMM and if you don't want to use a barcode.dll, you may use the new
    barcode technology, which is described in the SAP Notes #645158 and #430887. However this
    is only possible when printing from Smartforms. In this way SAP itself creates a picture,
    which contains the bars of the barcode. This picture is sent to the printer. One
    important requirement when you print the barcode via a Smartform is that you have at
    least release 46C. 4. Use of a barcode font There are some font files (e.g. Windows TTF
    files), which contains bars instead of characters. So if you use these font files, the
    bars of the barcode are printed instead of a text. You may buy such a font file, install
    it under Windows and use it via device type SAPWIN according to SAP Note #48803. Since
    release 46C these files can also be uploaded into the SAP and used via other device
    types.
    Regards, Aidan
    I hope it can help you
    P.s.: I post the answer here, because I can't looking for the original post now, so thank very much to Aidan

  • Jre barcode printing

    Hello,
    I have a web application, it needs jre, and it allows printing reports with barcodes. If I use jre1.4.2_05 (any 1.4.2_XX), the barcode printing works correctly, it shows the barcodes, but if I use jre5 or jre6 it doesn't work. Someone knows what's the problem with jre5 or jre6 with barcode printing? Thanks beforehand.

  • Barcode printed with Adobe Reader XI cannot be recognized by barcode reader

    Dear Support,
    We are generating barcode and convert it into pdf using Crystal Report for .NET Framework 2.0.
    The pdf is opened with Adobe reader XI / FoxitReader 4.3.1. And it is printed with Avery Dennison AP 5.4 300DPI.
    When the pdf is printed with Adobe reader XI, the barcode cannot be read with barcode reader, but when it is printed with FoxitReader 4.3.1, barcode can be read with barcode reader.
    I've compared the two printed barcodes and found Adobe printed the lines thicker and the characters wider. Thus, two lines sticked together and become 1 line. As result, it cannot be recognized by barcode reader.
    Could you explain why did this occur and how can I fix it in Adobe? Are there any settings I can change to solve it?
    Thank you very much.
    Operating System: Windows Xp or Windows 7
    Application: Adobe reader XI or FoxitReader 4.3.1

    Thanks Pak,
    I've attached the pdf on:
    https://files.acrobat.com/preview/47dde05c-4835-4bdc-881f-c406f8056f01
    As the problem I've described in the post only occurs on specific printer, I've found a way to reproduce the barcode problem in most of the printer.
    From the pdf I've provided, you may print it with Adobe and Foxit, using a printing scale of 190%.
    For the Adoble one, you may observe some white lines in between the labels, and the Foxit, there are no white lines.
    I do believe that two problems are related. Do you have any idea on that?

  • Barcode printing via sapscritp with ricoh aficio 2045e

    Hi All,
    I have to print the barcode number of delivery (eg 8000998833) via sapscrit. The printer is a Ricoh Aficio 2045th. I installed the device type ZA001016.PRI but can not print anything. I don't know where to put my head. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance.

    Leo,
    Seems like you don't know about the basics of barcode printing in SAPScript/Smartforms - you will need the help of abap and/or basis. I saw this response on another thread which may help you:
    In traditional barcode printing barcodes are generated in the printer and not in sap system.
    Hardware required - SIMM module.
    In new barcode technology ,which has been included in SAP Web pplication Server 6.40
    barcode printing does not required any special tecs since it is send to the printer as graphics.
    But you have to convert your script to smartform.
    If you are using a release after 4.6c you can use this technology by imporing the corresponding Support package .
    See Sap note 430887 in sap service market.
    The new bar code printing allows you to print using POST2.
    Yuo can create new barcode using transaction SE73.
    Also see the SAP Note-645158
    Not a solution but it might help you in your search - if I find a sloution I will post it here.

    hi,
    Print Unique Indicator as a Barcode
    The printing of unique indicators of elements (reference numbers of records, case indicators, or document numbers) as barcodes is controlled by SAPscript forms.
    SAP delivers a common SAPscript form based on the SAP barcode type AUFNR for records, cases, documents and incoming post items.
    To create another SAP barcode type, you can copy the SAPscript form RMPS_BARCODE and then adjust it to your own requirements. Then you have to define the new form using the following attribute names in the table SCMGPARAM:
    From within a SAPscript form, a subroutine GET_BARCODE in the ABAP program QCJPERFO is called. Then the simple barcode contained there (‘First page’, ‘Next page’, ‘Last page’) is printed as local variable symbol.
    Definition in the SAPscript form:
    /: PERFORM GET_BARCODE IN PROGRAM QCJPERFO
    /: USING &PAGE&
    /: USING &NEXTPAGE&
    /: CHANGING &BARCODE&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    / &BARCODE&
    Coding of the calling ABAP program:
    REPORT QCJPERFO.
    FORM GET_BARCODE TABLES IN_PAR STUCTURE ITCSY
    OUT_PAR STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    DATA: PAGNUM LIKE SY-TABIX, "page number
    NEXTPAGE LIKE SY-TABIX. "number of next page

    OUT_PAR-VALUE = ‘|’. "First page
    ELSE.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE = ‘||’. "Next page
    ENDIF.
    IF NEXTPAGE = 0.
    OUT_PAR-VALUE+2 = ‘L’. "Flag: last page
    ENDIF.
    MODIFY OUT_PAR INDEX SY-TABIX.
    ENDFORM.

    Hello Everyone!
    I have just set up my M127fn via USB on a Windows 8 system. The set up went fine. I have a small stack of test pages from the HP software, but it won't print anything from any applications like MSOffice. The HP diagnostic software (Print and Scan Doctor 4.6)  can communicate with the printer and everything checks out OK.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

    I have replied twice to your last posting, but have heard no response. Unless a solution can be presented quickly, I fell I must return the product. LPug and play was introduced with Windows 95 and this HP product has not lived up to that 20 year old technological standard. My previous replies are copied below.
