Javabean-Timer to control the whole Forms-Session

Hello !
I am looking forr a solution to supervise the whole Forms-session with a javabean-Timer.
I know the available javabean-timer on [http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com|http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/].
But i am searching for an answer/solution to define a timer once in a Forms-Dialog
which fires for the whole Forms-Session and not only in the Forms-Dialog where he is defined/activated !

Editable form text editing messing up the whole form

Hi All,
I've created a fillable form in Acrobat X but at the end, I realized that I left a spelling mistake. Now when I try to fix this mistake using Edit Document Text, it changes the orientation and alignment of other fields around it causing messing up the whole form. Can anyone advise any solution. I can provide the form to you to have a look or correct it for me if someone can kindly. Please advise as this is urgent and this form needs to be delivered ASAP. Please see the screenshot below. Thanks for the suggestion but this file was originally created in Word and after conversion to PDF, I've made a lot of radio buttons, check-boxes in this file which I certainly don't want to redo. Now if I convert this page back to Word and edit this single word, then it means that I would have to create all the radio buttons, check boxes etc again which is time consuming. Any help if I can just correct the spelling of this single word without changing the formatting of the fields besides it?

How to have a button to reset a field and not the whole form?

Hi,
Can anyone help me with this dilemma please? All tutorials online demonstrates how to have a button to reset the whole form, but i only want the user to clear 1 field in the form.
I have a form which has a field representing a persons name who has booked out a piece of equipment. I would like the administrator to be able to clear the field quickly without having to select the whole name and then delete it, ready to insert the name of another booker.
Any help would be very much appreciated. (If it is using dreamweaver features than that is better.)

There's nothing in DW that will do this for you.
This script from the internet seems to do the trick. Add this to the <head> section of your page...

Auto submit virtual form on change (not the whole form)

If you tick the "auto submit on change" option of a drop down, it submits the whole form, thus all the required fields have to be filled. Are there any way to submit only the perticular virtual form on change?

I don't see the problem... Are the files being digitally signed? If not then there's no difference at all between submitting the form data and using it to populate a local copy of the file and submitting the entire file.
It's technically impossible to extract a page from a PDF viewed in Reader.
Another alternative: Split the file in two parts and put a link on the last page of the first file to the second part, which will contain only the page with the form fields. You can add a link and some text to the page saying that it is a continuation of the first document.

I used Open_Form to open the form in my 'Menu.mmb'.
My Question is:
How we control the opening of a form from multiple times?
Ex:
In my menu.mmb I used OPEN_FORM.If we open the form,which was already opened ,I want to stop the form to open. How to do this?

Attach the whole form with XML data when Emailed

Hi all
I am new to Adobe Livecycle product. I have been using IBM workplace forms and now want to migrate to Adobe Forms. I want the whole completed PDF form to be attached along with the xml data in it when someone clicks the email button and email is sent. Currently when I am able to attach only the data part to the email.
Please advice on this...

The default email submit button is set up to send just the data/ If you drop a button object onto the form, set it to be a submit button, then use the mailto protocol to setup who you want to send it to. One of the button parameters allows you to choose what you want to submit. in your case choose PDF.

A time counter for the whole project

Can you tell me is there any way to get the overall project time as a time counter in the playback controls? Or viewed somewhere on Captivate?
I need to know at which time a particular slide is appearing in a video. I can only find time duration per slide or one overall time for the project.

Can Time Machine Restore the whole operating system ?

Hi there,
I understand Time Machine can be used to locate files which were accidentally deleted.
But can it restore the whole OS system together with all the settings to say a 2 weeks ago ?
If can, I desperately beg someone to be kind enough to guide & teach me how to do it step by step.

When you say "entire system", it refers only to the Mac internal harddrive or everything connected to it ?
Ah, yes, that's a bit misleading. That procedure will restore your internal HD only. By "entire system," it really means everything on your internal HD (which is all most users have): OSX, apps, configuration, users, settings, preferences, data.
If you want to restore an external HD, you must do that separately, so your LaCie won't be touched. Just to be extra-safe, I'd eject and disconnect it if I were you.

Open several instances of the update Form - session state handling problem

Hi,
I have a page with a classic report region on a database table and an other page that has an update form region for updating the records on the previous page. The application navigates from the page containing the classic reports region to the update page via the primary key link displayed in the reports region.
Users tend to open the multiple instances of the update form by right clicking in the browser the primary key links in the classic reports region. I couldn't pinpoint the problem yet, but I have 'data overwrite issues' i.e. records are updated with form item values that are entered in the other - concurrently opened - update forms.
Is this the 'normal' way of doing things? I think the problem is that APEX keeps track of only one single instance of any item on a page. If the same page is opened several times in the same browser, APEX updates the state of the page and items within with the one on the most recently opened page or submitted page.
Can I enable users to use the application as they are currently doing, i.e. by opening the update form several times in the same browser concurrently and still make APEX to handle this?

I would also argue that the amazon.com example is not entirely valid. Opening your products in multiple tabs and hitting "buy" on all of them sounds analogous to multiple "insert"s in our Oracle world...every item is probably not in your cart and so it's possible to stuff three new items into your cart with no conflicts.
The sticky issue is when you are editing existing data and I am not quite seeing Amazon as an example either of working in multiple windows.
I went to amazon.com and signed in. I did the following:
1. Home page came up with suggested items of children's books. I right-clicked on a book (book B) and opened it in a new window and clicked "add to cart". In my original window I clicked on a book (book A) and added it to my cart.
2. I closed the new window I had opened.
3. In the original window in which I was dealin with Book A, I clicked "View cart". It had books A and B in it. I didn't have a separate shopping cart for Book A and a separate shopping cart for Book B! Apex would do the same thing.
4. Now looking at my cart, I hit Ctrl + N and opened a duplicate window. In one window I changed the quantity on Book A to 2 and on the second window I changed the quantity on Book A to 3. When all was said and done, I still had ONE cart and Book A with 3 was the prevailing record. What is it that they would expect Apex to do with a similar situation?
What is it your users are doing in their amazon.com example that is theoretically different than what Apex supports?

How do I move just my iPhoto files from Time Machine into my new Macbook Pro system without loading the whole former identity?

I don't wan to load my entire former user ID onto my new system. iPhoto keeps saying "The iPhoto library is a Time Machine Backup, and so cannot be used as the main library. Reopen iPhoto with the Option key held down to choose another library."
The only option is to close that window then and relaunch iPhoto as suggested with Option held down... that still will not allow me to put the pics in, however. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Is there a way to edit a cell? I need to put some spacing between the check boxes... I already have the whole form done 60 plus text cells, except 5 check box cells. Is there a way to edit existing text?

I am new to the forum, because I usually don't run into stupid format issues. I create most of my forms in word or excel then import them into PDF. I need help with figuring out if I can edit some text without having to redo the entire document. 5 cells are off... really be steamed if I have to do it all over.

Acrobat can make limited edits to the text on a page, but the control you have is limited and may not be sufficient for what you need to do. To access the text editing tool in Acrobat 11, select: Tools > Content Editing > Edit Text & Images
and then click where you want to edit the text, and see what happens when you attempt to make the changes you want.
