JavaFX 2.3 Mac OS X "Preferences" and "About" screen menu entries

Hi there,
I'm currently using the 1.7.0_10 JDK and JavaFX 2.3 under Mac OS X 10.7.5 and was wondering if it is possible to move the menu entries "Preferences" and "About Application..." to the standard Mac screen menu locations, means under the application menu? If anybody could provide a code snippet or a hint how to achieve this, that would be great.
Thanks Steffen.

after a restart it works for a time, but always slow. I went to the Applestore this afternoon and the made a check and said it would be the logicboard and they would have to change it for CHF 600 and it would be ready in 10 - 15 days

  • Documentation about Screen, Menu and Field Exits

    Hi all!!
I need some documentation about Screen, Menu and Field Exits.
I´m very interested specially on steps by steps.
    My mail is [email protected]
    Helpful posts will be rewarded.
    Thanks in advance and regards,
    Manuel.

    <b>Types of Exits </b>
There are several different types of user exits. Each of these exits acts as hooks where you can attach or "hang" your own add-ons.
    <b>Menu Exits</b>
Menu exits add items to the pulldown menus in standard SAP applications. You can use these menu items to call up your own screens or to trigger entire add-on applications.
SAP creates menu exits by defining special menu items in the Menu Painter. These special entries have function codes that begin with "+" (a plus sign). You specify the menu item’s text when activating the item in an add-on project.
    <b>Screen Exits</b>
Screen exits add fields to screens in R/3 applications. SAP creates screen exits by placing special subscreen areas on a standard R/3 screen and calling a customer subscreen from the standard screen’s flow logic.
    <b>Function Module Exits </b>
Function module exits add functions to R/3 applications. Function module exits play a role in both menu and screen exits.
When you add a new menu item to a standard pull down menu, you use a function module exit to define the actions that should take place once your menu is activated.
Function module exits also control the data flow between standard programs and screen exit fields. SAP application developers create function module exits by writing calls to customer functions into the source code of standard R/3 programs.
These calls have the following syntax:
    CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION ‘001’.
    Field Exits
Field exits allow you to create your own programming logic for any data element in the Dictionary. You can use this logic to carry out checks, conversions, or business-related processing for any screen field.  Example: The data element BBBNR identifies a company’s international location number. You might want to set up your R/3 System so that all international location numbers are larger than 100.
The field exit concept lets you create a special function module that contains this logic.
You assign the special function module to the data element BBBNR. You then assign the module to any programs and screens in which users can add new international location numbers. When you activate your field exit, the system automatically triggers your special routine whenever a user enters a company location number.
In 4.6c, you can use "RSMODPRF" program to create field exits.
An example of a user exits :-
    MODULE user_exit_0001 INPUT
        CASE okcode.
            WHEN 'BACK OR EXIT'.
                CASE sy-dynnr.
                        WHEN '100'.
                             SET SCREEN 0.
                             LEAVE SCREEN.
                        WHEN '200'.
**** Note that you can write any code that satisfy your needs.                                                     ****
**** But in this case, this was wrote as a sample code for reference sake.                                    ****
**** And you can test it.                                                                                ****
                             SET SCREEN 100.
                             LEAVE SCREEN.
                 ENDCASE.
          ENDCASE.
reward  points if it is usefull..

  • IPhone 1.1.3 Crashing Camera, Photos and About screen in Preferences

    Hi guys:
I've just returned from vacation and the first thing I did when I got in was update my iPhone to firmware 1.1.3. Sweet! So I now have the jiggling icons on my home screen which is awesome, however I can't open Photos or Camera and I can't get to the About screen in Preferences as they appear to crash and I get taken back to the home screen.
I updated from 1.1.2 to 1.1.3 using iTunes 7.6 on Leopard 10.5.1 if this helps
    Any advice would be appreciated!

I would say try restoring your phone w/ iTunes and see if that clears it up. There might just be a glitch in the software after the update.

  • Mac keeps logging out and blanking screen.

    hi.
for some reason my mac just keeps logging out and blanking the screen at random points each day.
    its VERY weird.
is there anything i can do about it?

There are a number of things that you could try - resetting SMC and PRAM, doing an Apple Hardware Test, reinstalling system software, etc.
But, if I were you, I'd take the unit into an Apple Store or an AASP. But be certain that you backup all of your data before you take it in.
When there's no rhyme nor reason to restarts and 'blank screens' on a daily basis, it's best just to let Apple handle it - they can run tests that aren't available to mere mortals. Could be anything...

  • Finder, Mac HD, System Preferences, and Trash wont open!

Some icons on my desktop have become blank, and I cannot open finder in the dock. I click it, but it wont open. I cant open the "Mac HD" icon in the desktop either. Same with trash. I can use spotlight to search for things, but it is becoming very tedious, for I have never used it before. This all started when one night, I turned off my Mac Mini Version 10.5.8. When I turned it on, this issue occured. I have shut off, and restarted numerous times, done a boot to single user mode, even created a new user by entering all those letters after pressing shift, and the S key, but still, nothing! Please help me I don't know what to do :'(

Before doing anything make sure you have at least two backups.
Boot from your Tiger install disk and select Disk Utility from the menu after you select your language. Repair your boot disk. If there are any errors repeat the repair process until no errors are reported. Repair permissions.
If that doesn't help try resetting the PRAM. Hold down the Option-Command-P-R keys right after you hear the startup chime. Keep holding down the keys until the startup chime sounds twice.
If things still aren't working properly you can try installing the 10.5.8 Combo update over your current installation.
Mac OS X 10.5.8 Combo Update
As a last resort you could try doing an archive and install followed by an erase and install if the archive and install is unsuccessful.

  • Can't set preferences, and other greyed menu choices

Cannot set preferences for iDVD 06, and most menu choices are greyed.
[Note: this is NOT the case with all other iLife 06 applications where all menu selections are active.]
Looking through this forum I tried deleting the files in the library, as seems to be a frequent solution to everythng. This did NOT work in my case.
This is the only program in iLife06 which has this problem. All the others have active menu selection. I can't even get "About iDVD" to work!
Thanks for your help. Very frustrated.

I would start by forcing AppleWorks to create new preference files.
Quit AppleWorks and go to the Finder.
    In a finder window, go:
    yourname > Library > Preferences
Locate and select the folder AppleWorks and the file com.apple.appleworks.plist
Drag both to the Desktop or to the Trash (but don't empty the Trash).
Relaunch AppleWorks to check for any change.
    Regards,
    Barry
NOTE: This will return all preferences to their default settings. AppleWorks will construct new copies of the plist, the folder, and the files in the folder as it needs them. If you have made changes to the Button Bar, and have had no issues related to the Button Bar, you can restore those changes (probably without issues arising) by dragging the Button Bar file from the folder you moved into the new one in Preferences when it is created.

    Edit:
While your issue does not appear to be caused by the Recent Items bug referenced in Michael's post (after "Also perhaps..", there's no danger in clearing your Recent Items folder as discussed in the linked User Tip. This is a 'regular maintenance' procedure for me.

  • Script to start and stop screen sharing

I've had no luck finding an applescript that will launch system preferences and select screen sharing in the sharing tab. I want to use this as a rule in Mail so I can open screen sharing and subsequently close after use with Jaadu on my iphone for only the time while I want to access my home computer.
Is there anyone skilled at writing that for me?
    Thanks,

    ARD has four main components:
    1) ARD Helper
    2) ARD Agent & associated daemons
    3) ARD Menu Extra (controlled by the SystemUIServer)
    4) ARD Admin Console (if you have an Administrator license)
    What this script does:
    1) Any running ARD components will be stopped as needed. For example,
they'll be stopped before an uninstall, reinstall, or restart
request. They will not be restarted unless you specify the
    -restart options.
    2) Components will be restarted as required. For example, restarting
the administrator console forces a restart of the agent.
Restarting the agent, in turn, forces a restart of the helper.
    3) If you -uninstall but don't specify a new installer to run, then
the -restart family of switches will be ignored.
    4) Options can be specified in any order, but remember that the
options are ignored unless their parent options are specified. For
example, -package is ignored unless -install is specified.
RUNNING THIS SCRIPT FROM A GUI
You can make yourself a GUI-based kickstarter program to run this
script if you like. The options, set in the console, can be conveyed
via environment variables to this script, per a spec shown in the
source code for this script (or the traditional way using command-line
switches). Be sure the console application runs this script with sudo
privileges. The console should also specify its own location in the
APP environment variable, and may specify the location of a
STRINGS_FILE to use to load string definitions for any localizable
    messages produced by this script.
A GUI console could stay up & running between runs of the script but
should avoid running multiple instances of this script at the same
    time.
    WARNING
This script can be used to grant very permissive incoming access
permissions. Do not use the -activate and -configure features unless
you know exactly what you're doing.

System files are hidden by default in Finder now, search for what you want then click the little + button on the top right of the bar that appears when you do a search. A new bar comes up and click the first box (that says "Kind"), change it to "System Files". Then change the box that says "aren't included" to "are included" and your file should show up.

Troubleshoot the network as that is likely what is causing the issue.
Also, temporarily disable the firewall on the Mac and disable IPV6 on the computer.

i recently got new mac air and transferred my old version garageband projects now when I open them in 10.0.2 I can add new tracks but then nothing can record, shows its receiving sound from software inst. but no sound. I checked audio preferences and they are set as they should be. I tried it in all the other older projects and same issue anyone have any experience like this very frustrating.  Can one download old version still ? or can you run both versions on OS10.9.5 ?

Ok, either my question was too long or nobody seems to have an answer. Sad, either way
Here's something I found out in the meantime, maybe this is interesting for somebody or maybe - problem's not totally solved - enough info for any of you to give me further advice.
When I start Logic Core Audio driver de-activated, I can open old songs. Then I save them in a new folder with all audio files and a new name. And I remove all EXS24 instruments as well as the Space Designer. I quit Logic, re-open with Core Audio activated and I can open the song.
Problem no.1: EXS24 instruments don't find the appropriate samples, but EXSMananger Pro did help me with this. Same problem with Space Designer, which doesn't find the impulse responses, connected to a certain preset.
Two questions, every idea would be great!
    - Is there any way to teach Space Designer Presets where to look for impulse respones. I can load IR samples directly and create a new preset, but I can't use my old ones.
    - Is it possible to install Logic from scratch over an existing version? Or how should I de-install everything connected with Logic and then install a fresh version from CD?
    Thank you again,
    Joern

Can't get MAC to shut down and start up via the schedule button in system preferences energy saver. Is there another way?

    Try this to start:
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your Leopard Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior and/or Tech Tool Pro to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
