Thanks for the reply as I do not have admin priv. on the machine I program on so it's impossible for me to load the JDK and use JavaFX so looks like I'm just out of luck.
Thanks again. You'd think there is a system administrator that can do the installation for you...
You are free to install it somewhere else, zip it up and then unpack it to your locked down machine. What you'd be missing is 'default java' behavior (in other words: if you run stuff on the command prompt you'd have to add the bin directory to your system path to just be able to invoke 'java'), no browser plugins and javaw is not setup to run jars. If your aim is JavaFX then the missing browser plugin stuff might be a deal breaker for you, but you would have had the same problem if JavaFX came in just a zip file.

  • Unable to save in zip format

    Dear All,
I am using a Proxy to File Scenario which is calling an HTTP Service from a Mapping class in PI 7.3 with AAE and no ABAP stack.
The process is initiated by a proxy and then from within the mapping class the HTTP Service is called via the lookup method. A HTTP_AAE channel is utilized for the lookup. The Service returns multiple files in zip format in a stream and the data is saved to a file in zip extension with a file adapter.
Following are the communication channel used.
    1. Sender Proxy Channel
    2. Receiver HTTP_AAE channel
    3. Receiver File Channel
When I am trying to unzip the file, it is throwing - The compressed (zipped) Folder is invalid or corrupted.
Following are the parameters set in the Receiver HTTP_AE channel.
    Character Encoding : utf-8
    Content Type : application/x-www-form-urlencoded
    Please suggest
    Rana

File type in receiver cc must be binary.
    Regards,
    Carme.

  • We need JDK in zip Format

We are developing Java application in restricted env where in we will not be able to install any software. We require the last JDK for windows in zip format for our testing purpose. I would be gr8 if sun continues supporting zip format too along with installer.

If all you want is the JDK (including the embedded JRE) but not the separate Windows JRE, then just zip an installed JDK yourself. The JDK doesn't put any hooks in Windows, as does the separate JRE. And the same action can be taken in Linux/etc.

First, unzip the zip file either on your PC or on the BlackBerry, and find out what kind of file type is compressed in the ZIP file.
When you discover that, please post back and we can help.

  • Send the output of the report  in a zip format

    Hi,

Currently when we run the report we are sending the file in excel format to the external mail id using the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
But now the requirement is to ZIP the data in the format of an excel form and then send it to the Mail.
If any of you have done with this,
Please help me with a sample code starting from converting to Zip and then sending the mail.
Iam having two versions of SAP 4.7 and ECC 6.0.
    Regards,
    Sasidhar

    Hi,
In my report program i have my data in an internal table.
    lets say ITAB.
Now we cna send the data from this table easily in amail as an excel attachment using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
    But in our case,
we want our ITAB data to be first converted into an excel format and then convert this into a zip file and send as an attachment.
How cna we cna make use of classes CL_ABAP_ZIP AND CL_DOCUMENT_BCS.
I have checked all th threads as specified by you.
But now where its clear on this.
Can anybody have a sample code for this.
    Please help me.

  • With Yahoo! Mail attachments are put together in zip format I can't open, but when I switch to Internet Explorer these same attachments open easily as Word or PDF files; how cn I fix?

Two recent emails (Yahoo! Mail) each contained multiple attachments which were presented to me as zip files which were in a format that my computer could neither open or convert to files I could open. One was two Word documents; the other was five one-page PDFs. I tried with Firefox on two different computers with same results. When I switched to Internet Explorer, I was able to open the attachments each as separate Word or PDF files, with no trouble. Am I doing something wrong?

instead of writing such an essay, you could have explained better what you tried to do to get them.

  • What zip format does FLA files use, and is there a API for editing them?

I really need to programmatically modify FLA file.  I understand that they are some kind of ZIP archive, but 7-zip cannot open them at all, and although WinRAR and Windows Explorer will open the archives, it will report that the archive is corrupt if you try to extract or update some files.  This makes it very difficult for me to edit existing FLA files.
The XFL format is not a solution.
I would be happy to have a way to modify one of the XML files in the FLA file, for example to perform batch modification of a referenced SWC component's path (since the file name was updated, and it's referenced by hundreds of FLA source documents).

  • Software in .zip Format ?

Just got an Xperia Arc S. I want to put PC Companion and Media go on my home PC, but it doesn't have an internet connection at the moment. I'm reliant on my local library for internet connectivity, and their machines block downloads of .exe files as a matter of policy (which they won't allow exceptions to).
Is there anywhere I can get these two pieces of software in another format - .zip is the most obvious answer as I know the library machines will download this, but .rar or anything else would equally be great.

If you contact your local support team they will be able to send you this software on a disc. You can find contact details here: http://bit.ly/7eURBK

  • How do I prepare a file to a zip format on my iMac from iPhoto

I wish to compress a file from iPhoto into a zip type format from my iMac. Can this be done?

Sure. Though it does not make much sense, since JPEG is already a lossy format and compresses images much better.
Export the image(s) to your desktop and then:

Don't be surprised if the files are *bigger* after being zipped!

  • JavaFX source code formatting (pretty print)

I'm just starting to use JavaFX with Eclipse and I was wondering if there was something, either internal or external to eclipse that would format the JavaFX script 'code'. It gets tiresome hand indenting every line.

AFAIK the eclipse plugin is about 3 weeks old. Code formatting was probably not #1 on their list of features. Netbeans aint 1/2 bad... I'm traditionally an Eclipse user too but I think you are gonna have to either contribute or wait patiently.

  • Getting download multiple files in zip format.

    Hi
I am trying to read a zip file on c drive and send it for download on clients browser.
My problem is that when I am trying to read zip file form my system drive and copying it(Using NIO) on another location on my drive itself its working fine( working code is attached as Code 1)
but when I try to read zip file in MappedByteBuffer using NIO and append them in a string buffer after converting them to string and get them downloaded at client side, a zip file of same size as that on server is created but it doesn't open up. (Code attached as Code2)
