JavaHelp and OracleHelp don't appear in SSL folder

Hi,
I presume that along with the other output files such as HTML
Help, WebHelp, etc. JavaHelp and OracleHelp should also appear in
the SSL folder of the Project pane. But these two deliverables
don't appear in my version of RH. I use RH X5.0.2.
Is this something related to buyer-specific need. Suppose we
would have asked for RH without JavaHelp and OracleHelp. I am not
sure. I asked the guys out here but even they are not sure.
Pls suggest...

Two things I can suggest if you're building JavaHelp,
specifically JavaHelp 2.0:
1. Make sure you have a JRE installed on your hard drive
(we're using 1.4.2_04) Since you've already installed RH, you
unfortunately need to reinstall it, then point it to the right
folder.
2. I strongly recommend suggesting to your development team
that they NOT use the JEditor Pane method of calling JavaHelp from
the Java application. Our development team is current using this
older (buggy) method and because of it, some of the limitations in
JH that Sun apparently fixed (such as not being able to link to an
external URL or email) are still present.
Let me know if you need any help with the JavaHelp stuff. I
created a whole procedure on setting it up correctly so that our
support staff can get it right every time they install RoboHelp for
us.

I recommend to check www.icloud.com, are your contacts shown there?
If not -> Something might be not set up correctly on you iOS devices.
Also.. Simple but maybe occuring: Contacts -> Preferences -> Accounts -> iCloud is enabled? (Should be by default if you have iCloud setup via the system preferences, but you never know..)

First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

Photos and movies don't appear in Events/Photos but do appear in Last 12 months

Hello. I'm using the latest version of iPhoto 11 (9.1.1). When I browse through my photos via the Events or Photos section of the iPhoto sidebar (under Library), certain photos and movies are missing. They simply don't appear there at all. However, when I click the "Last 12 Months" section of the iPhoto sidebar (under Recent), the photos and movies are there. If I try re-importing the missing photos and movies I'm told they are duplicates, so they must be in my iPhoto Library - they just refuse to show up under Events or Photos! I've tried ticking all the rebuild options by holding down command and option when I start iPhoto, but to no avail. Perhaps there's a setting I've inadvertently ticked that hides certain photos and movies? Hidden Photos is ticked under the View menu. I have View > Sort Photos set to "By date" / "Ascending".

since both last 12 months and events or photos are simply different views of the same photos in your library they are there - the most common issue is incorrect dates so you are looking in the wrong event - you can find the event by selecting the photo in the last 12 months view and and right clicking and using the show event command - you can correct the dates by selecting the photo and using the photos menu ==> adjust time/date command

After updating to itunes 10.7 iphone and ipad don't appear

After updating to itunes 10.7 my iphone and my ipad don't appear in itunes and because of this I could not update to ios 6.
Also after installing itunes 10.7 I got 2 errors:
System extension cannot be used

I try to uninstall and reinstall and everything is the same.
There is a bug in this new version of itunes for mac os x
I am using OS X version 10.8.2 with all the latest updates.

I downgrade to itunes 10.6.3 and the error still appears.
I have to download this utility http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/download-ie3-mac.php
And I deleted this file:
/private/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control/iTunes/iTunesCDB
That fix the problem.
Now my iphone is working without issues on latest version of itunes 10.7

WD ABAP scroll bars and buttons don't appear

If I test a transaction and the control or scroll bars don't appear when I test the service via SICF, how can I modifiy it to ensure the controls appear in SAPGUI versus webgui?

What? I'm really confused by your question. Is it even about Web Dynpro ABAP? You are talking about SAPGUI vs. Webgui. What does that have to do with Web Dynpro ABAP?

Adobe Muse: Slideshows and submenus don't appear when previewed or exported

Hi! I've just put together a site in the latest version of Adobe Muse. Everything seems fine when I preview within Muse but when I preview in Firefox or export to Business Catalyst, none of the slideshows appear, (where the pics are is just blank), and the submenus don't appear either. Any ideas?

Hi! It's OK I've solved the problem! At the cost of looking like a complete idiot I'm going to share this because others might be in the same situation. I remembered that a couple of weeks ago I turned off java script in all my browsers because I had a potential security risk (which I didn't), and was advised to do so. Now, I've turned Javascript back on, everything is working perfectly! Unfortunately this has taken me about 6 hours to work out! On the plus side at least now I know what my site will look like if someone is viewing it with javascript turned off! I've used Macs professionally for about 20 years so you can imagine how stupid I'm feeling right now! Thanks for getting back to me though!

My comments and highlights don't appear on docs viewed in Dropbox

I uploaded my edited version, but my edits don't appear in the standard iPad PDF reader, only when I open the doc in Adobe reader. Does this mean comments and highlights are not supported in Apple's reader?

That is exactly correct. Apple's built in PDF rendering does not support rendering annotations or forms data (currently - perhaps they'll add this in the future). This means these cannot be viewed in Dropbox, Mail, or other Apps that use the built in PDF rendering. They are viewable in Adobe Reader and other PDF Readers that support annotations.

While typing an email on iphone the letters and words don't appear for me to see but they appear for recipient of email

I have a couple of steps for you to try that may help you resolve this issue. First, attempt to force close the email app, then relaunch and test the issue again:

Bridge: Images don't appear in Content Folder

(iMac OS X 10.5.2 (Leopard); 4 GB Ram; PS CS 3; Bridge 2.1.1.9; Raw 4.3.1)
All my images are on the MacIntosh hard drive under Cover Flow view. In Bridge, there are two main folders that contain images:: Window Documents ( deleted images from a color management program from a external hard drive/PC computer that I previously owned)) and Pictures (images transferred from PC to MAC). Problem: No images appear from the Window Documents Folder in the Content Pane in Bridge. Most images don't appear on the Content Pane from the Pictures folder with the exception of a few file folders. In the Preview Pane (Bridge) there are all sort of weird glitches. Previous to this problem I worked 7 1/2 hours dragging and dropping images from files in the Window Document Folder into selected folders in Pictures and deleting the images to Trash that weren't going to be kept. Everything ended well that day....no problems but the next day when I opened Bridge I couldn't access most of my images. At the bottom left hand corner of Bridge it tells me how many images there are but they don't appear. Summary: What I do know is that the images are on the hard drive, my computer is trying to open them up but something is preventing them from appearing in the Content Pane. Before I reach for that second glass of wine, can you please help? I am so frustrated and don't know where to turn for help in this matter. Thank you so very much. PS. I also can find the images in Finder when I right click on the mouse button on a file. I've tried using Tools>;Cache>Build and Export Cache. Images will appear but after I close Bridge they disappear into their deep dark hole!

Solved the problem myself. I retyped the name of each folder (same name) under Pictures and added a space plus #1 after each folder name. Images appeared almost immediately on the content pane after that was done. Later I will then open up on my hard drive, under Cover Flow, two windows....one from the Pictures Folder and the other one from the Window Documents that contain the images transferred from an old hard drive. I will then select the images I want to keep and drag and drop the images from the Window Documents to the sub-folders in Pictures and that should do it. Attempting to do it from within Bridge will cause the images in Pictures to disappear so this other way is safer. Then I will trash my Window Document folder when I'm done. If anyone has experience this problem this might be a way to see if my solution might work for you. (I formerly had a window system and now have a iMac).

Some emails don't appear in the folder list, I can only find them by using Search Messages

As of yesterday, new emails from one regular correspondent do not appear in the list of messages when I click on Inbox. The only way I can access them is to use "Edit/Find/Search Messages". They are still in Inbox, they haven't been moved to another folder.
Thunderbird version is 31.6.0.

None of these apply, the messages have been received, I can find them using Search Messages but they do not appear in the folder contents.

In FX 8 (WinXP and Linux) I'm not able to change a route of the Google Maps routeplanner via drag&drop, the markers of start and destination don't appear and therefore cannot be moved, either.

Usually (IE, Firefox 7 and below) if you go along the blue line of a route planned by Google Maps, a small circle appears which can be dragged and dropped to other roads so that the routeplanner changes the route. This is impossible with Fx 8, the circle doesn't appear and when trying to drag&drop I only move the map. The same applies to the markers which mark the start and destination of the route, they are not visible and cannot be moved. Disabling Adblock and Firegestures didn't solve the problem.
When the page is loading for a moment you can see the symbol for an image which is not yet loaded both where the markers should be and if you go along the line with the mouse. As soon as the page is completely loaded you don't see this anymore.

Files from PS and AI don't appear right

I've created some artwork in Photoshop and also in Illustrator, then when I open in Catalyst, the images area as small I don't know what and when I enlarge one it appears like a gear made up of pixels, and the image looks right on the right side, but can't make it appear on the stage right, what am I doning wrong?

Thanks for the fast response, I first created the file with Photoshop CS4,
then with Illustrator CS4, and even saved the ai file as a fxg, but will all
of them when I use the open with and even when I use the advance option I
can see the right image on the lower right area, but on the stage all the
image's are real small and use the broken image icon, what I'm trying to
make is a calendar swf for a website using the image of a LCD TV and a
remote with all the months to change each month, I tried and did make a
couple of Catalyst projects when it first came out, but then stopped and now
not sure just what I'm doing wrong. Hope this didn't go on to long for an
answer, lol..

New books and topics don't appear in the ToC after generated in DHTML (RoboHelp v8)

Until recently, when I wanted to add a topic to a book in the Table of Contents, I just dragged it from the Project Manager into the Table of Contents. I'm not sure what is different now, but the new topics appear in the Table of Contents pod but not in the generated DHTML. To make it more confusing, to me anyway, some newly added topics DO show.

My reason is because clicking the "View Result" *SHOULD* provide the same experience as you are advising. At that point, RoboHelp is simply opening the browser and handing things off.
Gwen, this causes me to ponder the following question. In recent versions of RoboHelp, it's possible to configure more than one Table Of Contents (TOC). Are you certain you have specified the desired TOC in your SSL recipe? That's what I'd be checking.

Lightroom and Photoshop don't appear to be working together any more

I generally do initial edits in Lightroom and fine tune in Photoshop - now, they don't seem to recognize each other - any thoughts?

thanks - I've got CS 5.5 and Windows 7 - I used to edit in Lightroom, then open in Photoshop and I'd get a window with the image asking me if I wanted to open it - then I stopped getting that message and Photoshop would open the image without the Lightroom edits - finally, while in Lightroom, I would right-click the edited image and I would get a window that where I could select edit in Photoshop - now, those buttons are grayed out so my only option is to export the Lightroom edited images to a folder and then open in Photoshop which is a lot of extra steps - they used to interface and now they don't and I'm wondering why
