  • Javascript Errors in Dreamweaver!!!!!!!!!!

I am getting a very annoying error message from Dreamweaver
and I can't determine from where it is coming.
The dialog pops up and says:
    "The script c:\Program
    Files\macromedia\dreamweaver\configuration\shared\common\scripts\dwscriptsExtData.js
has been running for a long time. Do you want to continue?"
If I answer "Yes", it just keeps coming back with the
    question above.
If I answer "No", It gives me another dialog and says an
error occured in the script because the user decided to quit the
    scirpt!!!!!
    Aughhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then is does it all again and I have to answer the questions
two times every time this happens.
I have searched high and low to try and find the problem. It
is going to take someone who has seen this to help me.
I have been using Dreamweaver for almost a year now and this
just started happening. I am not the Coldfusion manager so I have
no clue what the server is doing or if the configuration has
    changed to cause this behavior.
    Thanks for any help...

  • Javascript errors stopping Dreamweaver from working

Am running OSX 10.5.8 on a 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo 17 inch iMac and Dreamweaver 8. Recently, since upgrading to Leopard, my Dreamweaver won't run properly and when it opens, I get the following errors:
"While executing onLoad in Design Notes_onOpen.htm, a JavaScript error occurred"
When I then try to do anything in Dreamweaver, I get a succession of error messages, each one telling me a JavaScript error occurred and then the Dreamweaver just hangs and won't load correctly.
I've completely deleted Dreamweaver (using AppZap) and reinstalled it, twice, and the error remains.
I've checked my CD of Dreamweaver by installing it on a mate's Macbook (also running 10.5.8) and it loaded and worked fine on my mate's machine.
I've run Software update and repaired permissions and still the error remains.
I'm guessing I've a problem with Java on my Mac but am clueless as to how to fix this. Any suggestions???

  • Lots of Dreamweaver JavaScript errors

I'm not sure what happened, but all of a sudden I am getting
constant Javascript errors in Dreamweaver. They appear at startup,
as well as when I try to do pretty much any action (saving,
    opening, pasting, closing, etc.).
Here are some examples of what the error messages look like.
Any idea what is going on or how I can fix this? I did update
Acrobat to the latest version this morning, but I don't know if
that caused this. I am running Dreamweaver CS3 (9.0.0.3481) and Mac
    OS 10.5.3.

I have set up some pages to have an automatically updating

some features. For example, if I click on Manage Extensions, the
javascript error is: " In the file manageExtensions, The following
    javascript error(s) occured: In the file ""Manage Extensions"";
Reference Error; manage Extensions is not defined." Edit Command
    List comes up empty; the "Link" logo doesn't work;
    Insert>HTML>Special Characters>Other doesn't work, etc.
    Any suggestions???

  • PackageMaker Javascript Error

Back in May, I built a distribution package for installing a bunch of software the school (where I work) uses, like Firefox, Thunderbird, etc. I built individual installers for each thing (like one for apps to put into the Applications folders, another for other installers like Flash & Office updates, etc), then used the distribution package to make one monster installer package that I could run once and have all the updates done at once to save me a ton of time.
All summer, every time a new version of something came out, I updated the individual installer packages, then tried to update the distribution package also. However, every time I tried to install the updated distribution package on a computer, it gives this error: "There was an error while evaluating Javascript for the package."
It gives this same error for any computer (iBooks, Macbooks, iMacs, etc - all running 10.4). I tried rebuilding the distribution package from scratch at least three separate times and still get the Javascript error. I am able to use each of the individual packages, but not the distribution package. I didn't change the process from building the one back in May, so what am I doing wrong here?

  • Insert Image Javascript Error

I've had this problem since I switched from MX2004 to version
8, and now on CS3. When I click on Insert Image I get a message
that in Image.htm a javascript error occured. The strange thing is
I have a second computer with CS3 installed and since re-installing
windows have not experienced this problem on that computer. I have
    followed the instructions in:
    Technote:
Troubleshooting JavaScript errors in Dreamweaver but this
    doesn't help.
I am using Windows XP SP2 with Dreamweaver setup to connect
via RDS to my Windows Server 2003 Coldfusion web server.
If anyone has some useful insight to this very frustrating
issue that Adobe seems to have no support information on I would be
    very grateful
