Javascript on iPhone only partially works
Anyone having any trouble with Javascript on the iPhone? I have a site that I have to use for work. It will not work on my iPhone. When I disable javascript I get the not javascript version of the pages (which do not have all the functions of the normal page). It works perfectly on the iMac and Safari. Any suggestions?
It is correct not all java script and apple work on iPhone Safari.

Select a Java virtual tour (any), it won't open it.
Everything works on your "normal" iMac Safari and so also PC.
To the same also QTVR are not supported by iPhone Safari.
... hoping that a sw update will add some more web functionalities...I imagine and hope to be only a question of priorities...MVP (minimum viable product... to make the June release date.

My iPhone 4 only partially works after water damage...
Basically, I dropped my iPhone 4 down the toilet (which was stupid of me in the first place) and got it out of the water as soon as possible. I let out as much excess water as humanly possible without the tools, as I didn't have any on me at that point, and so I let it dry out. It wasn't working at all the next day until I had taken the back off and now I have got it to the stage of turning on and partially working.
When plugged into a power socket it will turn on as usual and get to the screen telling me to plug it into iTunes, but when I plug it into the computer it will turn off and on at the silver Apple logo which means I can't connect it to iTunes. In both cases, as soon as I unplug it, it turns off straight away, but when plugged in it says that it has 100% battery.
I wasn't sure where the major problem was and so I sent it off to a company who fixed that sort of problem, but they told me that there was some corrosion on the inside and that they were unable to fix it which was a pain, and because Apple don't cover liquid damage I don't know what else to try... I bought a new battery just in case the battery had become flooded, but this made no difference so it's definitely not the battery directly.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a good solution that might help? (And if possible I would like to keep what is on there, but this is not essential...)

BenIF you would have taken it to Apple, you could have gotten it replaced for US$199. Now that it's been opened by a 3rd party, they will most likely not permit this. If there is corrosion on the inside, it's most likely permanently borked. Sell it for what you can get for parts and buy a new one.

I canged name of calender on iphone and it has changed on the imac. But none of my previous entries or new entries are going to the iphone. If I add on icloud then the entry goes to both phone and imac. I have tried taking calendar off icloud and saving to phone and then reinstating and merging, but nothing changes. My contacts seems to be working fine. That also previously was synced by cable.
Anybody able to help me pleaseWMA files are 'window media audio' files, which is a Microsoft format. If you want to add them to your iTunes library on your Mac then you will need to convert them into a compatible format first. Newly purchased album only partially working/downloaded..
How do I get my full album of songs that I just purchased from Itunes. According to Itunes, I have the full album, yet only 4 of the 15 songs were downloaded via the cloud, to my iphone, and only 1 song transfered to my itunes library. I'm unable to download the rest of the songs because its says "downloaded" and all greyed out! So frustrating!!!! Does anyone know what is going on?????

As a first step in our troubleshooting process, let's try deleting and redownloading. I would first quit iTunes, reopen, and follow these steps:
If iTunes in the Cloud is available in your country, try the following steps to resolve the issue:
Delete the purchased song that is exhibiting the problem from your iTunes library.
Click on the Purchased link in the iTunes Store to view your previously purchased music.
Download your previously purchased song from this list.

Lion Server push notifications to iOS 5 only partially working
I'm attempting to enable push notifications from my 10.7.2 Lion Server to my iOS 5 and Lion clients. All services (OD, Calendar Server, Mail, DNS, etc.) are running off of the same server. Push for Lion clients works fine for IMAP and CalDAV. I see "Push" in iCal preferences -> account settings.
For iOS 5 however I only see push enabled for Mail. I have confirmed it works as well. However, Calendars and Contacts show "fetch" in Settings -> Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> "Fetch New Data" -> Advanced.
iChat is running. I've verified all the iChat related ports are opened in the firewall.
I have a "real" certificate for my domain and clients are pointed to that domain name.
There are no errors in the logs. The caldavd configuration file in /etc/caldavd/ looks fine.
I'd appreciate any ideas where else to look!Not sure but in well known ports is this

Importing mailboxes into Mail from Entourage only partially works.
I am trying to import all my Entourage mailboxes into Mail.
[The background of this is that I want to upgrade to Lion, but my version of Office won't work in Lion and I don't want to pay for a new version, so I'm going to abandon Entourage and use Mail].
The process appears to work properly; there is no error message and Mail tells me that the mailboxes have been imported into a folder called Import.
However when I look at the Mail mailbozes, all teh messages are not there. The import has worked up to a point and then just stopped. By this I mean all the actual mailboxes (and sub mailboxes) are in place, tbut only the first 50% or so of the messages are there. (Admitedly, there are a large number of mesages in my mailboxes and the import has worked through them logically by alpahbetical order of mailboxes.)
I've also tried dragging the missing message across manually, but this doesn't work.
Any ideas?Well there are some suggested solutions on here if you search for them. Hoever, I eventually worked around it by just importing a section of my old email at a time. A bit tedious, but it worked.

I configured a VPN on my ASA5505 and it seems to be working just fine if I connect with my iPad or iPhone. But if I use the Cisco VPN Client, I can authenticate but can't get to any other the server that I can access just fine from my iPad. I can RDP from my iPad to servers but I can't RDP from my laptop to the same servers. Any ideas what would cause this??
Yeah, I've tried on 2 different computers at 2 different locations. Both machines were Windows 7. I just can't seem to figure out what would be causing this. I can see traffic going through the tunnel to the ASA, for example from my logs....

Arrow keys only partial working
The arrow keys on my MBP has stopped working. They work as long as I hold down the shift key (for selecting text in a document) but on their own, they're completely dead.
Since they are working when the shift key is pressed, I guess it probably isn't a hardware problem. Turning off or restarting didn't help, but there is probably some dead obvious solution to this that I have missed.For starters, I would assume the problem in your account is likely to be rooted in a login item: something you've installed that starts running as soon as you start up your computer.
Go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Accounts, select your account, and click the Login Items tab. I believe you should see iTunesHelper, SpeechSynthesisServer, and System Events - all Apple software, and therefore not likely to cause problems. Of the other items listed, does any of them have anything to do with your keyboard? If so, disable it by selecting it and then clicking the "-" button below the list. If not, disable half of your third-party login items. Then close System Preferences, restart the computer, log into your account, and see whether the problem persists. If it does, disable the other half of your third-party login items and repeat the restart-and-retest routine. This procedure will tell you which half contains the cause of the problem, and you can use the same method to narrow things down further, re-enabling the items that are clearly not at fault as you go along. Post back with your findings. -

I've installed the latest ODAC and ODP download (ODTwithODAC1110720.zip). After some confusion with Oracle Home I have managed to get everything to work - well almost. If I try to perform a select on smaller tables/views either in code or thru server explorer that is fine However for larger Views it does not work. No error is reported, just no data comes back. In fact I can pull one large table but large Views give me trouble. If I get the query wrong I get an exception. If I do something that does not return much data e.g SELECT COUNT(MY_CODE) FROM MY_VIEW that works.
I get the same behavior whether I do: a small program using OracleDataReader, a Query Window or a new Query.
If I use Sql Plus - there is no problem, all the data comes back.
I have noticed that the large queries that work in Sql plus are preceded by a noticable "think" period but the data streams back anyway.
Any suggestions as to what could be the cause? or are there error log's to look in to perhaps glean more information about what is going on?

markOh well, solved my own problem.
Basically the Query actually was returning no rows; nothing wrong with ODP or vs2008.
The query implicit in the View specified a language (US) whereas my ODP.net install was at (UK). Once this was corrected everything worked like a charm.
The SQL plus install on my machine was old and probably specified (US) somehow, so it added to the confusion by working.
I ran a trace on my machine and that did not help. Running a trace on the server resolved the problem; the trace showed the query plan executed with results and then it was obvious that no rows were being returned. -
My iphone only partially appears in itunes - help!
I purchased a new iPhone and downloaded iTunes - hence all of the software should be new.
I made sure my copy of Java is current.
When I attach my iPhone to iTunes it appears as a device.
But nothing appears except Apps.
No Summary, contacts, music, photos
Any ideas?
Thanks.OK, never mind. After all that, a restart of the iPhone fixed it. That should have been the first thing I tried, of course, before posting. Sorry about that!

My iPhone will not work unless I plug it into my wall charger, It is fully charged but only works when it is plugged in to wall charger. When it is turned on it say "Restore needed iphone can not make or receive calls' i tried plugging it up to Itunes but it will not turn on to sync.
First try a hard reset, press and hold the power button and home buttons until the phone restarts and displays the Apple Logo, then let go.
If that doesn't work...
Try forcing recovery mode and then restore with iTunes.

My 3G iphone only loads few apps since I updated and the camera doen't work anymore, what now. Tried to reset to original settings and now it won't load apps, even old ones.
What model iPod do you have? If yo have a 2G iPod. many developers when they updated their apps to support iOS 5 and 6 dropped compatibility for iOS 4.2.1 and earlier.

When I create a photo stream in ios6, everyone who is logged in to my iCloud account can see and edit my stream (on their iPhones only). Not just the email addressees that I sent the photo stream link to. Is that how photo stream security is meant to work? Is so it means my whole family can see any photo stream I set up. Hence no security? Can't share the pics with the wife then :(
The whole idea to an icloud account is that one user uses it and has all their devices synced together. Different users need different Apple IDs to create their own icloud accounts. Note that everyone can still use the same ID for an iTunes account (to share purchases).

I recently update to the new ios 7 software on iphone 4. Now I have 2 app icons for facebook. Only one works and opens facebook. How do I get rid of the other? Tried deleting it out the old way but it has no "x" to take it out with?
