Javascript on website not loading

http://fibrenaturelle.com/index.php?option=com_jestockist&view=jestockist&Itemid=171
using a Joomla component to display list of stockists. When you click on an area customers are complaining that the 'loading...' stays and no stockists details loads.
However, I am using the same version (the latest 13.0.1) of FF and so is this customer yet he can't view it like I can. He is running XP. Tried in his IE, worked perfect. Some other people are having the same issue but I can't figure out why, can anyone shed some light on this?

Maybe check the network.http.* prefs on the <b>about:config</b> page.

Check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

    Websites not loading correctly/can't login
I've never used it much but I decided to try using firefox full time this week.
I installed it and loaded flash, java and anything else basic that I was asked to.
But I haven't screwed around with the settings, other than the troubleshooting steps on this site.
I'm going to use this site as an exmaple: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?
The reason being it exhibts both of the problems below.
Problem 1 - Not loading correctly:
First here's a link to a screen shot of the problem.
    http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/963/firefoxscreenshots.png
The top half is the page loaded from IE, the bottom half is Firefox.
Now when the page finishes loading in Firefox it looks exactly the same as IE for a second.
Then it changes into the image I attached.
    Problem 2 - Can't log in
    http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?app=core&module=global&section=login
Now once again the login screen looks a bit different in IE and firefox.
once again it looks normal for a second in firefox.
I enter the correct username/password, and click sign in.
It comes back "you must complete both fields" and after a few seconds jumps back to the forum home page.
I had a problem registering and dealing with forums registering with mozilla.com
I would fill in the registration form hit submit and I'd just jump back to a blank form again.
I've been using IE to register and submit this question.
    Thanks,
    Kenny

    Every time Firefox opened

Can you check your [[JavaScript]] settings and makes sure JavaScript is enabled?
It seems like some preference may have been changed that affects the way content is displayed. Another way to troubleshoot is to try creating a fresh profile, check out the article on [[Managing Profiles]] to learn how to do this.

  • Websites not loading properly just shows "transferring data" nothing comes up

hi I'm using Firefox 8.0 on my windows vista laptop. If I'm on a web page (such as google news), most links will load OK> however certain links I click on will open a new window that shows "transferring data from ..." but page never loads. If I close the window then click on the SAME link again it usually loads rite up. I've tried other browsers (chrome) & this doesn't happen. I was going to switch because it's really annoying, but I like Firefox a lot. Any suggestions? I have followed the instructions for "certain websites not loading" and this didn't help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • IE 11: Javascript files are not loaded correctly from cache?

Since installing Windows 8.1, I have been experiencing issues with script loading in IE 11: When the server responds with "304 Not Modified" in response to a script request, bad things happen. Specifically, I encounter script errors that would
normally be caused by a missing script reference or having references in the wrong order (e.g. "Unable to get property 'foo' of undefined or null reference"). Doing a force-refresh (i.e. Ctrl+F5) corrects the issue until the next page load.
Based on what I see in the IE 11 developer tools, it looks like the scripts are loaded correctly. I can open them in the Debugger view and the content appears to be correct. Perhaps IE is just not loading them in the correct order in this scenario?
I noticed this problem myself and then someone else (who has also recently installed Windows 8.1) informed me that it appears he is experiencing exactly the same issue on a different site.

I'm fairly certain this issue represents a bug in IE 11. The same problem(s) do not occur in IE 9 or IE 10. The same problems occur on unrelated websites accessed from separate machines. Doing a force-refresh (Ctrl+F5) always fixes the issue.
I took your advice about opening the console to look for error messages during page load. When loading normally (i.e. not doing a force-refresh), the console shows the following:
    HTML1300: Navigation occurred.
    File: TimeEntry
DOM7011: The code on this page disabled back and forward caching. For more information, see: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=291337
    File: Dashboard
    SCRIPT70: Permission denied
    File: modernizr-2.5.3.js, Line: 468, Column: 9
    SCRIPT70: Permission denied
    File: jquery-ui-1.10.0.js, Line: 252, Column: 1
    SCRIPT70: Permission denied
    File: knockout-2.2.1.js, Line: 48, Column: 5
SCRIPT5007: Unable to get property 'extend' of undefined or null reference
    File: knockout.validation.js, Line: 30, Column: 5
When loading the page via a force-refresh, only the 'Navigation occurred.' message is displayed. It does not make sense that IE would apply a more restrictive security policy to scripts loaded from cache vs. scripts loaded directly from their original location,
yet that appears to be what is happening.
Post questions about html, css and scripting for website development to the IE Web Development forum.....WITH A LINK TO YOUR WEBSITE OR A MASHUP THAT SHOWS THE ISSUE...
looks like you have a sandboxed iframe on your page.
the first step in troubleshooting IE issues is to test in noAddons mode.

  • Image slideshow on website not loading on mobile but works fine on other mobile browsers

I designed a mobile website for (esinrestaurant.com). This is a new site and when I was trying to look at it today on Firefox 21.0 on my Droid (4.0) phone, I noticed that the slideshow that is supposed to appear on the Home page just below the logo, is not loading. I thought it might be a timeout problem but it still doesn't load if I use WiFi. Note that if I try to view this website on the native droid browser, Chrome an Opera the slideshow is displayed correctly. I tried clearing the cache and resetting my phone and still no luck. I discussed this problem with the company that provides my mobile tools and when he tried to look at the website it loaded correctly on his Droid phone using the same Firefox 21.0. So what could be going on? If the customer sees this problem I need to be able to fix it or at least explain why it is happening.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
The Firefox cache temporarily stores images, scripts, and other parts of websites while you are browsing. <br>
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies, do the following:
#Tap the menu icon located at the top right corner. This is the icon with 3 bars. On older Android devices you'll have to press the hardware menu key and then tap More.
    #Tap '''Settings'''.
#After that, you will be taken to the settings screen. In the settings screen, look under the section '''''Privacy & Security''''' and select '''Clear private data'''.
#You will then be taken to a list of what can be cleared. Select the following 2 for deletion:
    #*Cookies & active logins
    #*Cache
#After those have been selected, tap the '''Clear data''' button to actually clear the cache and cookies.
Did this help you with your problems? Please let us know!

  • Why do websites not load correctly after I upgraded? (Affected websites include Mozilla, LinkedIn and Facebook

I upgraded to the newest version of Mozilla and now a number of websites (see above) do not load correctly.

I have the same problem. It seems to be due to FireFox 4.0 being unable to load certain embedded content, which Firefox 3 was able to load properly.
I've been having problems loading any website that includes embedded content from worldnow.com, for example.

  • Facebook and other websites not loading properly in Firefox (Solution)

This is for anyone who has had issues loading Facebook, eBay, twitter or any other site which shows plain text pushed to the left hand-side of the screen and fails to load images.
This issue had me stumped for about 3 hours. No matter what I did. No matter what I disabled. The problem remained. I cleared my cache, reset cookies, disabled addons, reset Firefox to default settings and kicked my pc a few times for good measure.
The problem was fairly simple and at my end, this is not a problem with firefox. SSL certification for facebook was being deemed invalid and therefore the site failed to load properly. Now because Firefox doesn't deal with SSL certificate failures, there had to be something else going on in another program. I then realised that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was the problem. If a website failed SSL certification for any reason Kaspersky Blocks access to the site which was causing the page to not load properly. You have to disable Kaspersky's SSL certifcation checks to be able to run the websites properly. You need to load your Kaspersky main menu and click Settings once there go to the tab that looks like a cardboard box (Object Detection Settings and Exclusion Rules) then when you can see a list of different options select Network and you should see Monitored Ports and Encrypted Connections Scan, disabled the encrypted connections then reload Firefox and try the webpage that wouldn't load. To know that kaspersky is the problem, you will get a dialogue saying you have to add facebook as an exception since it failed SSL Certification and this was the culprit for me atleast.
I looked at the mozilla support forums and it seemed to me, many people were getting this issue and some issues went completely unresolved and there was no mention about Kaspersky, so I hope this helps.'''bold text'''

Hi Hindhaughlee, <br />Thanks for the post.
This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
    * exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? <br /> You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
    * What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
    * is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
    * can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.
    Cheers

Anyone with this problem finding that the solution works may wish to vote for this thread and solution. Or if someone else can produce links to examples of this or you are able to give precise Steps To Reproduce please add a post of your own.

  • Facebook website not loading

Ok, it was fine last week. Now It tried to load and eventually times out. However, ALL other websites load just fine. I have cleared history and cleared cookies. What else can I try? Also, my software ( moutnain lion) is up to date.

I am trying to load Facebook on Firefox and I am getting the following  text on the bottom left of my screen.
    waiting for fbstatic-a.akamaihd.net
I have been able to use Firefox for loading and Safari didn't want to work. Now Firefox will not load. Two days in a row now.
    Anyone know what that means?
Safari is stuck also. It says "loading "https://www.facebook.com/", completed 2 of 6 items
It's stuck on number 3. That could be the same thing holding up Firefox.

  • Don't Know Where Else to Ask:Website Not Loading on Any Mac But Does on PCs

    Strange.
For a couple weeks now accuweather.com will not load on any of 10 Macs at 3 different locations - which are a good 10 miles apart (whether in Firefox, Safari, or Chrome), but that site loads instantly on PCs using the same ISP (Cox) - my staff have confirmed this from their homes. All other websites seem to be zipping just fine on all the Macs.
Anyone have an idea as to why and what I might do to get back to my weather website?

Deleted cookies (and cache and history and everything else) long before posting - on all 3 browsers, on different Macs at different locations. No joy - but still this inability to load happens ONLY on this one website (I look at several dozen a day, at a minimum, and over the course of a week, up to a couple hundred).
Actually this inability to load this one site is affecting 10 Macs scattered between 3 very remote sites - the ONLY common factor is all are at 10.6.2, and Cox is the ISP (but like I said - Cox is delivering this website fine to Windows users on my staff, at their homes).
Absolutely nothing changed on the Macs themselves. I always wait 6 - 8 weeks after updates come out just to make sure all is stable before putting my economic life on the line. No Mac updates installed during that time frame. The only change along the way was upgrading Firefox a few weeks ago, but I can't see how that would impact Safari or Chrome (which have not been touched in a month). Also - this behavior did not manifest right after updating FF.
I did boot FF into Safe Boot and that didn't do anything.
    Any more thoughts?
    Thanks (anyone)!

  • Websites not loading correctly, clock date wrong

Yesterday I noticed the clock on my computer was 3 hours behind and the date 4 years ahead. Since then any attachments in Gmail come up with a warning as it not being trusted. Also gmail's buttons
( delete, spam, move etc) do not load the words. Then facebook does not load correctly it almost looks like html code. I have checked all settings your site has recommended. I do not have any add-ons or adblock, have cleared all cache, cookies history etc. I have all required and suggested items checked but nothing is working. Any other ideas, appreciated

Try to rename the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder to cert8.db.old or delete the cert8.db file to remove intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored.

  • Select Websites not loading in Safari

I am having trouble getting select websites to load which loaded fine prior to today. I've reset Safari data, read other discussions doing what they suggested (Safari is up to date), but still can't get it to work. Other users are able to get to those sites, so it's local to my machine. Help please??

OK, I solved the problem from my own post. This particular problem was in fact specific only to this one website. The reason for this problem was that I had created a bookmark for the www.weather.gov website after entering my local zip code. I had been using this bookmark for quite a while to have quick access to my local weather, but the JPG files that the website used to display the sunny/rainy/cloudy images on the page had been changed. Therefore, when I clicked the bookmark to bring up this website, I got the Access Forbidden error and none of these JPEG images would load. When I went directly to the www.weather.gov URL and re-entered the city and state in the 'Enter your city' text box, presto, the images came up right away. I guess the lesson is to update bookmarks every now and then when they include search-specific parameters.
