Javascript pop-ups don't open, neither does the Add-ons field. Connected?

After reset or re-install, I can access Tools > Add-ons once. Then it will not open again. When clicking it or using command (Ctrl+Shift+A), nothing happens - no message, no symbols in address field, nothing.
Also, web pages with Java pop-ups (it says "javascript:popup_imp..." when I try to use them) do not work, like the web interface of a mail service, where New Message or Reply normally opens in new tab.
Are these issues related?
May installed plug-ins be involved?
What can be done?

Found the culprit!.
When disabling an add-on for grabbing material into TreeDBNotes - Add to TreeDBNotes 1.0 - the rest started working fine.
The TreeDBNotes is a great word processor / database storage, that deserves more users and upgrades!

Why does the Add-ons manager take an excessive time to load and can I view my add-ons without going to the add-ons manager?

When I start my browser up my everything that I have been working on comes up without any problem and I can open a new tab to go to another site without a problem, but when I go to the Add-ons Manager it can take over 3 minutes to load and that's if I don't stop it. With all that wealth of information you provide, just a shot in the dark:
If in Windows, you can try using Windows Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement. If in Mac, open the Applications folder, double click on the Reader icon, follow the instructions to accept the EULA, and close Reader.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

For about seven months I have pop ups and tabs openning on their own, asking me questions and showing me what I didn't ask to be shown.

For about seven months now (from June 2013) I have pop ups asking me private question while masking themselves according to the results of my browsing. Sometimes they're streaming "news" and other stuff that I didn't ask for. It also may be tabs and not pop ups, that are doing the same. First I was thinking that this is kind of "infection", but all my screenings failed to detect anything answering that my computer is clean. I considered changing the browser, but my computer is weak and your browser is light, differently from Microsoft's one. So now I just close those things as quickly as I can. But, sometimes, when I walk away, it shows whole "movies" to no one, while wasting my resources and quotas.
I just wonder if it is possible to get rid of this stuff. Is it infection or part of the design? And in case it is an "infection", is anybody interested to investigate in order to protect your browser from similar attacks in the future?

Your "More System Details" didn't include information on your extensions, but one of those could be responsible.
Could you check for unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt that something is valuable and useful, disable it.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

I'm having similar problems with my Epson Stylus DX5000. There was no in-built driver available (the generic old and new Stylus drivers didn't work), so downloaded the latest driver from Epson site. It shows as being available to print to, but just sends data to the print queue then job disappears.
I hope you're right C F McBlob, I could do with printing today but if there are new drivers available from November 5, then so be it.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Not only do I get a messed up library, but since I've let iTunes handle my music files, they too have been shuffled around - placed in different album folders and sometimes given names of other songs... With quite a large library, the cleanup makes me feel a bit like Sisyfos pushing the rock uphill - it's a never ending story. Only positive side of this is that I get to play a lot of music quizzes while guessing who plays the song that is disguised as eg. Buddy from De La Soul, and then afterwards try to track down the real 'Buddy' as this has also found another folder to hide in...
Shazam has come to the rescue a few times so far...

Have you tried closing the Camera app completely and seeing if it works when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with the Camera app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Camera app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

. FF Ver 4 is very slow and does perform as well as 3.6. I uninstalled 4 after downloading ver 3.6.16 and that is causing colorfultabs not to color and the Add-ons page is freezing making it unable to use it. Ver 4 runs very slow. Please help.

It seems my machine does not like your ver4 and 3.6.16. I want the ver prior to 3.6.16. . Since the last 2 updates have not been able to use FF to browse or play Webkinz. It is way too slow. Following the install of 3.6.16 the Colorfultabs is not working and I can't fix it or adjust it because the Add-ons list/page freezes. I have removed/disabled several add-ons and extensions and nothing seems to help. If it were not for IE I would not be able to use my machine. I have 2.5 GB of memory and 30 percent plus of free space on my hard drive. I use Windows XP SP3 if that makes a difference. I don't think I need a lot of add-ons but need to know what I can remove. The feature to open FF without any add-ons is gone for some reason. Please give me back my simple smooth operating FF. Thank you.

I had all the dot nets in add/remove but discovered they were not installed. Got all up to date. Puter is 2005, I have all that U listed except Win7. I just don't know if I need that or not. Did U say that I need more than the 2.5 GB

FF is running much better now but Webkinz accounts are still loading slower than in IE. I am wondering if maybe I should totally remove all of FF including customizations and personal info and start over fresh with a clean install of ver 4. I am still using ver 3.6.16. Is it possible that this is reason for Webkinz (a flash, java and Unity game) not loading good? Also, are there some of the Plug-ins that I can remove? What Audio players do I need? Firefox closes and wont open on installing certain add ons

I was using Firefox today and suddenly one of the add ons ( Download Helper ) started to be irresponsive. I tried to close firefox and reopen it and wont open. The icon flashes and goes away. I removed the app using Appzapper and downloaded and run a clean reinstall. Now, I went on to download all the add ons I used to have (Download Helper, Sage and few others) and restarted firefox and the symptoms reappeares. I tried to create a new profile and it didn't work. I used Safe mode to deactivate the plugins and it works, whenever one of them ( which I used to have before the problems ) is activated Firefox crashes. I went on to create a new Account and tried the same and it is working perfectly. So, can you tell me what I might have done wrong to cause this?

When i open the add ons page in firefox the pages do not display correctly the pages only show text and are in lists

What does the "add more sounds" in app purchase cost in GarageBand?

I ask because there is no indication of the cost when Apple asks for my ID and Password. In IOS completing that would mean I own it.
