Javascript Question - How to Insert a Dynamic/Current Date into the Footer of a Scanned Document

Hi!
I am looking for help in finding a Javascript that would allow the insertion of a dynamic/current date into the footer of a scanned document at the time the document is printed.
I am currently using Adobe Acrobat Professional 8.0 at my work and there has arisen a need to have a dynamic/current date in the footer on scanned documents when they are printed out on different days by different people.
I am new to the Forum and I am also very new to Javascript and what this entails.

Beginner! How to insert a dynamic swf file into a movie (AVI, FLA etc)

If I am intruding here with a silly beginner questions I apologize. I am new to Flash. I have purchased a dynamic flash intro sort of like this http://www.templatemonster.com/flash-intro/26664.html
It came with the full package including source files and but also simple editing through an xml file. I have the video as I want it but want to put it as an introduction for a full video (in AVI or .FLA format).
How can I export it as a video file without the need of anything else such as the xml?

How to use a dynamic SQL data as the header ?

I'm using BO XI Rel 2. I have hard coded the report headers, but i do have a table wherein the header data is available. I like to fetch the HEADER information from the table, rather than hard coding. How to go about it?
Example: "Statement of Closing" is the header.
The above output can be retrieved by using the below query!
Select Form_desc from TBS_FORMS where form_id = 'tbs1a';
form_id is a common link between tables!! Since the actual report data has multiple value as output, just by plugging the query in the header, i'm getting #multivalue error!!!!
In oracle reports, i have something called place holder to achieve the above objective. In BO, how to go about it?

Sorry, that doesn't solve my problem. Please read the question more closely - I want my USERS to be able to do this without changing their configurations. My users are public school elementary teachers and parents. I can't ask them to toggle any settings - I'm looking for a way that my users can do this on their own.

How to insert 4K of XML data into XMLType column?

I use OCCI and our Oracle version is 9.2.0.1.0. I have successfully been able to insert xml data (any size) into a clob column using "insert into...values(.., empty_clob()) returning c1 into :3"; and then using Statement::GetClob() to acquire a reference to the internal clob and populate it. I cannot seem to be able to do the same when the column type is of XMLType.
I could not find a single sample code which demonstrates inserting into a table with a XMLType column. Using SetDataBuffer(OCCI_SQLT_STR) with data over 4000 bytes does not work.
I'd greatly appreciate any feedback.

Pretty sure this was a bug in the base 9.2 release which was fixed in a patch drop. Try 9.2.0.6 or later.

In my Acrobat 8 Pro, Insert Pages is under the Document menu but anyway...
In Acrobat X, click on the Tools pane(upper right side) then navigate to Pages- the Insert Pages commands are located there.

How do I add a current date to a form field so that it will give me the current date each time it is opened?

I have adobe 9 pro. I am currently adding fields to a document and would like my date field to display the current date when the document is opened so that the user does not have to enter the date each time. How do I do that?

If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only), and the results you want from that data. If your question is based on commonly available tables, like those in the scott schema, then you don't have to post any sample data: just post the output.
Explain how you get those results from that data.
Always say what version of Oracle (and other relevant softward, SQL*Plus in this case) you're using.

if i use the xmlgen.insertXML(....)
requires a CLOB file, which i dont have, only the xml doc.
Cant i insert directly from the doc to the table?
the xmlgen examples I have seen first convert a table to a CLOB xmlString and then insert it into another table.
Isnt there any other way?

How to populate a dynamic table according to the choice of the viewer

Hi there,
I ran into a dead-end on my "Events" page.
There is a dynamic table getting the info from a database. It will initially show the Upcoming Events.
At this point my question is this:
*Can I populate the dynamic table based on a condition where the current date and the event date (as in the db) will be compared and if the event date is later than the current date, it will be displayed in the table. Otherwise, it won't.
If I can do that, can someone please help me out with the code?
Besides that, on the right side of the page there are 3 options for the viewer:
1. View upcoming events
2. View past events
3. Search events by month and year
What I want to do is that when the viewer clicks on 'past events', the table will be reset and populated with those events whose date has passed.
When the viewer clicks on "upcoming events", the table is reset again and populated with the relevant events.
When the viewer selects a month and a year, search the database to find the relevant records.
Can all of this be written in php? Since I read smwhere that php doesn't work with onclick functions... i got confused. Cuz the data in my table will have to vary depending on what the viewer is clicking (upcoming events/past events/search events). I do not wish to create separate pages for each type of event.
If anybody has a better suggestion to carry out this task, please share!

Of course. You just need to compare the date field in your database with the current date as returned by your DBMS date function. Assuming you are using MySQL, you would compare your column with the currdate() function and use the appropriate greater than/ less than operators in the SQL WHERE clause. If you don't know what a WHERE clause is then I would urge you to learn SQL as soon as possible. You can't build data driven sites without a basic understanding of SQL.

What this means is that php is a server side language, where user interactions always occur at the client site. But that does not mean you can't invoke a server side action from a client side event. You most certainly can and would.
You might consider adding links to the dynamic table page that pass a querystring to the php script which determine what filter to add in the WHERE clause- greater than the current date, less than, etc.

At least you can try StringTokenizer to parse your text files. Or download a text JDBC driver to parse your files, for instance, HXTT Text(www.hxtt.net) or StelsCSV(www.csv-jdbc.com).

It does not matter where the songs came from, they are not yours and the previous owner does not own the right to distribute them to others.
