Hi Kundan,
Please check with Basis for server session timeout and clear browser cache and temp files
Also check below thread if it helps :

Hope it helps,

  • I use noscript and when clicking on "print" on newspaper articles or links to social networks I get javascript:void(null) error and nothing happens. ???

If I am reading an article on, example, the Indy Star website, and there is a button to print, I see this javascript:void(null) error message in the lower corner and nothing happens. If I go to noscript and keep "temporarily allowing all pages" eventually it will print. The same goes with trying to put an article, again say off the Indy Star website, on my Facebook page, I get the same error and have to follow the same routine (temp allow all pages) before it finally works. Any suggestions?

Yes, if you block JavaScript by using the NoScript extension, JavaScript print buttons aren't going to work until you allow JavaScript for the particular domain that print button is for.
You should study the NoScript features and learn how to use that extension. <br />
    http://noscript.net/features
It is a very powerful extension which adds a good deal of security to Firefox, but there is a steep learning curve, and when you first start using it you need to set up the whitelist for web sites that you frequently visit.

  • Javascript:void(null) error on clicking OBIEE prompts

    Hi Gurus,
I have an OBIEE application with four tabs. It was working fine earlier but now when I click on any tabs in the 1st page of the application (even the "Page options" tab in the top right corner), am getting Javascript:void(null) error in the left bottom corner of the page and nothing is happening means the page is not at all navigating. I tried by disabling the pop-up blocker also, even then am getting the same error. Can anyone provide me a solution for this. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Evgeniy,
Thanks for your reply. But that doesnt solve my issue. I cross-verified all the .js files used in the 1st page of my OBIEE application and am sure no modifications had been done in any of the .js files. Is anything else causing this issue. Kindly help. Thanks alot.

  • Javascript:void(null) error while saving a request

    Hi All,
I am not able to save/open a request in Answers.
Whenever I click on 'save request' or 'open request' button on the top right corner of the screen on the Answers page, it displays javascript:void(null) and do not prompt me to save or open a request.
Issue is when I am using Internet Explorer as a web browser. However everything works fine when it's (Answers) accessed through Mozilla Firefox.
Also the issue only occurs when OBIEE is configured for SSO and I am accessing OBIEE link through Portal.
I followed all the steps as on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308260, just to find that the issue is not with IE.
Could anyone tell me plese if it's something to do with OBIEE.
Any help on the same will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

Have you tried it with IE6 or IE8?
Can you try enabling notification about all javascript errors: (Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced tab -> click "Display a notification about every script error")
That it works on Firefox suggests that it is a problem with IE
You could dig around a bit with a javascript debugger: http://www.jonathanboutelle.com/mt/archives/2006/01/howto_debug_jav.html
Does it work if you go into Answers directly, not through the portal?

  • Javascript:void(0) error after clicking buttons in my trips and expenses

    Hi All,
I have implemented EHP2 and activated FIN_TRAVEL_1, now I am getting all the ABAP webdynpro iviews.
BUT when i go to "my trips and expenses" and try to click any button there like; create travel request, plan, exit, etc...
than I get the message at the bottom left of page "javascript:void(0)"
but when i actually go tarvel and expenses-->create new - Create Travel Request than i can create a new request and same is the case with create new plan and create expense report.
Now in none of the screen Display form does not work, even exit, cancel button do work.
I searched for this in form and found that this might be probably due to missing roles so I gave the following roles but still the same error:
    SAP_FI_TV_ADMINISTRATOR
    SAP_FI_TV_ADVANCE_PAYER
    SAP_FI_TV_MANAGER_GENERIC
    SAP_FI_TV_TRAVEL_ASSISTANT
    SAP_FI_TV_TRAVEL_MANAGER
    SAP_FI_TV_TRAVELER
    SAP_FI_TV_WEB_APPROVER
    SAP_FI_TV_WEB_ASSISTANT
    SAP_FI_TV_WEB_POLICY_ADMIN
    SAP_FI_TV_WEB_TRAVELER
Plz given in your responses in this regards.

    Hi All,
Sorry for the late response....was actually really busy with my ess implementation...so i thought that i would update my forum once everything is working fine...
    coming back to error:
the issue was probably with the host name...
    explanation:
i was accessing my portal with [http://hostname:50000/irj/portal] which usually we do in normal scenario,
but what i found was that when i was using EHP2 for travel module the screen were designed in abap webdynpro and on clicking any of the links i use to get javascript:void(0)....
so after doing some RnD what i found is that if i access my portal with FQDN i.e: [http://hostname.domainname.com:50000/irj/portal] that the system understands the proper script to launch...
plz update me if my understanding is wrong....
    Thanks & Regards,
    JJ.

  • Javascript void 0 error when I try to run animation in an online tutorial

I am using Firefox 4 and I am trying to take an online tutorial on Excel 2003. The website is:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/training/
When I try to click Play so the animation shows me the example, nothing happens and all I see at the bottom of the screen is the javascript void 0 message. Also, when I try to run the practice test, I get the error that Firefox does not allow Active X controls. I checked the Tools options to ensure that java is enabled, but still no success. What can I do? I look forward to your advice.

    Hi All,
I narrowed it down by running a report excluding working journals and that worked fine.
This was being caused by an invalid working Journal. I exported all journals from Prod, and tried loading them to test. One of the errors was
"Line: 7736, Error: Invalid parent.child entity dimension specified"
Looking at the row the journal did not have an entity specified for one of the lines.
When a valid entity was specified the journal report then starts working.
Lesson. Check all journals are valid. To find error, load journals export in a different environment.
    Thanks all for your help.
    Regards
    Vivek

  • Metadata error displaying portal page

    Hi,
I have installed the AS infrastructure, BI and Portal, but when I type http://localhost:7779/pls/portal I get and error that just says it wasn't possible to get the metadata from portal database. I can't find this error anywhere on the web.
In AS control center, I can see that all the components' status are up: portal, 0c4j portal...
    Status Up
Average Page Requests Per Hour 3
    Homepage Download (seconds) Unavailable
OracleAS Metadata Repository Used By Portal
    Status Up
    Name intcare1
    Start Time Nov 13, 2008 10:11:04 AM
    Database Version 10.2.0.1.0
    Repository Version 10.1.2.0.2
Can you enlighten me of where to check for possible things that are failing here? This is the first time I'm trying to use portal.
    Thanks

Alternatively - call the URL http://<servername>:<port>/pls/portal/htp.p?cbuf=test (replace <servername> and <port> with the values for your midtier). This should print the wordt test in your browser. If this is successful, you will know that the Appserver can connect to the database. If not, check the application.log in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Portal/application-deployments/portal/OC4J_Portal_Defaults_Island_1 for potential errors.

  • Internal server error during portal page invocation

I have a problem whereby my portal crashes while I was navighating the page. Looking at some of the discussion threads, I reaslized that my jserv was no more running after the crash. ( I checked this using the Enterprise Manager Website). My question is, how do I start the jserv because the jserv system component is disabled which prevents me from selecting the jserv component and hitting the 'start' or 'restart' button.
BEsides that I also realized that PPE is also down and seems like there's no way I can start it from the ENterprise Manager Website. Help.... how can I rectify this problem???

    hi,
Try starting your HttpServer (Apache). That'll automatically restart your JServ.

  • Error when trying to run UCM from browser -The portal page for your Content

    Hi
When I try and run the UCM in a browser using "http://localhost/idc", it showing
"The portal page for your Content Server needs to be rebuilt. Start the WebLayout Editor as a standalone application and select Update Portal... from the Options menu."
I did see a previous message that says to go to Weblayout Editor Applet - Options - Build Home Page - Update -Ok, but I was not able to see the Build Home Page option in the drop down.
Any ideas what may be causing this issue?
Thanks in advance for your help
    Cheers
    Sylvia

    Hi Srinath
    Thanks for your reply.
Commenting out the following lines still does not fix my problem.
    <div align=center><b>Welcome to UCM10g for SIF DEV</b></div><br>
         <$if IsLoggedIn$>UserName = <i><$UserName$></i><br><$endif$>
         <$if IsDynamic$>Current Time = <i><$dateCurrent()$></i>
         <$else$>This is a static page.
         <$endif$>
I have installed this product on two environments following the same kind format.
In our dev environment I am able to type in the following to get to the Welcome to Content Server Page
    http://devenv/idc/
In the other environment I use the following and I get that the error "The portal page for your Content Server needs to be rebuilt. Start the WebLayout Editor as a standalone application and select Update Portal... from the Options menu."
    http://testenv/idc
So the only way to get to the Content Server Page is to type the full path as below which I don't want to do, because I want the welcome screen to appear first.
    https://testenv/idc/idcplg?IdcService=GET_DOC_PAGE&Action=GetTemplatePage&Page=HOME_PAGE&Auth=Internet
Is there a way I can configure the application to get to my welcome screen instead of getting the error message detailed above?
    Thanks
    Sylvia

  • Recently when I try to perform a function on a certain website I get an error message that says "javascript void" and I can't go any further. What can I do?

The specific function that produces this error message (the only one so far) is when trying to cancel an order on HSN.com. This is something I have done many times in the past with no problems.

This can also happen if you block JavaScript as the javascript:void; message is a placeholder and the real action is done via an onclick event tied to this button.
You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
    *Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

just look at line 217 in the page source ;-)
save this page as a file, edit this file and try to remove the faulty code.
Then , once you know what code makes this error we'll be able to tell you what to do
