You can no longer run JavaScript code via the location bar in Firefox 6 and later.<br />
You can see an error message in the Tools > Error Console.<br />
That code now gets a null principal for security reasons and doesn't have any effect (Bug 656433).
Use the Scratch pad (Firefox > Web Developer > Scratchpad; Shift+F4) to run JavaScript code.
Open a tab with an XUL page like about:addons (Tools > Addons) to be able to resize or move a window via JavaScript code in the Scratchpad in Firefox 9+ while that tab is selected.

ebay will not load on safari, firefox or camino, but all other sites load without any problems. Why is this? Can anyone help?

It should be: Click on Home Folder (the House) and to the right Library is shown, click on the arrow on the Library folder to reveal its contents and then click on Cookies to reveal its contents and then move the Cookies.plist to the Trash as Carolyn suggests.
    Then try eBay again.

  • Javascript not loading content after updating from firefox 26 to 27

on my site i have a page on which javascript pre-loads the content and then shows it.
this thing was working perfectly fine on firefox 26 but soon as i updated to firefox 27
the content doesn't show after loading
Like i have an image for 'loading content' which first appears and then the loaded content
shows up. This image is still showing in version 27 but the content which shows after is not showing at all.
I inspected the page and the divs and content is there but its just not visible somehow.
Please help me with this problem .. im stuck with this if it doesn't show up. Thanks.

    this doesn't solve the problem.
actually its working on all other browsers, the content is showing.
but its not working on firefox 27. what problem could it be which is preventing version 27 from loading the content when its working just fine on version 26 (i just checked it on a different system with version 26).
also there was an instance when the same content wasn't loading on version 26 also but it was a problem due to some pinterest script. once i removed it everything became just fine i.e. content started loading (on version 26). Now, if that helps in deducing the problem please help me out.

  • Pages not loading, suddenly today, status bar at bottom of page has red "J" for Java and I cannot figure out why or what to do

After using Firefox successfully for months, it started not loading full pages today, but showing "done" in the status bar at the bottom. I also noticed icons for Javascript, Java, Silverlight, etc., on the right side of status bar, JAVA one is red, but I don't know what that means.

See View > [X] Status Bar

  • Problems with javascript not working correctly, have firefox version 15.0.1. Javascript enabled in tools option. What else should I be looking at?

Certain websites do not load correctly, the webpage sometimes does not display. Upgraded to current version of Java, this did not solve the problem. The most blatant thing I noticed is that when I hit the plus button to open a new tab, the page that displays displays my nine most favorite websites, all nine have descriptions, but only two or three display the actual web page.
I also have hotmail and when I try to load some pages directly from the e-mail I get the message Javascript needs to be enabled.

Are you using any cleanup software like CCleaner that might cleanup the cache?
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

  • Page does NOT load correctly in FIREFOX

My HOME page does not RELOAD correctly in FIREFOX when when
the link is clicked on from another page in my little "2 page"
    site.
BUT if I click on the BACK button it loads CORRECTLY
    It works correctly in IE
    Here is the Home page:
    http://www.quicksubmitbrokerswholesale.com/
Here is page 2 where clicking on the link in FIREFOX loads
    incorrectly:
    http://www.quicksubmitbrokerswholesale.com/submitforpricing.html
What do I need to TWEAK to make it work OK in FIREFOX?
    Thanks in advance

Here is the crux of all your problems:
    <!-- Fireworks 4.0 Dreamweaver 4.0 target.
You built the site in Fireworks, and a very old version at
    that, and then
imported the site into DW. Graphics apps like Fireworks and
    Photoshop
produce bloated, convoluted code and fragile structures. If
    you want a
worthwhile site you will have to start over. Create only your
    graphics in FW
and build the entire site in DW. Be cautioned though such an
    old version of
DW won't produce a site consistent with today's standards.
    You really should
upgrade if you want to deliver value to your client.

  • Flash player not loading videos after firefox update to 32.0.1

    Hi,
I use Firefox portable and use it for work. I do moderation of videos. I open a page with 5-20 videos that load with Flash Player and view them. Today there was a Firefox update to 32.0.1 version. After update when I open a page I only get 1 video loaded and the others are blank. When I right-click on area where a video should be I get "Movie not loaded..." greyed (can not click) and "About Adobe Flash Player 15.0.0.152..."
I checked and I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player plugin. It was updated few days ago and worked fine until Firefox update. I also checked to open a page with SRWare Iron (also portable browser) and everything works.

I tried reinstalling Flash twice. Did it as on the link for Windows. The second time I erased also a Flash folder in SysWOW64. Tried installing Adobe Shockwave Player, didn't help and when I disabled Flash plugin and left only Adobe Shockwave Player plugin, didn't get any videos just a link to get Flash.
Tried this with ProtectedMode=0, also didn't help, everything was the same.
So still, what ever the number of videos I open on one page/tab, I only get to see one video, the others are blank.

  • Movie Not Loaded Error In Firefox

    Good day
When I try and view a video in Firefox on YouTube or other sites, right clicking the video gives me a "movie not loaded..." error and the video does not load. Examples include videos from You Tube and Digg video.
    My Specs:
    - Firefox version 28.0
    - Flash version 13.0.0.182
    - OS Windows 7
    Particularities:
    - When I change the YouTube link to https, then the You Tube video works (still does not work on Digg)
    - The videos seem to work using Internet Explorer
    - When I disable Flash addon from Firefox, then the video works
    What I have Done:
    - I have reinstalled Firefox
    - I have done a complete uninstall and done a clean install of Fash per the instructions from Adobe site
    - I have cleared the Flash cache/files
    - I have cleared Firefox cache
    - I have changed the Flash settings increasing memory size by right clicking
    - I have restarted Firefox in safe mode
None of these solutions have worked for me. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Did you try a new profile?

Also make sure that your security (anti-virus) software isn't blocking this content or otherwise interfering.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

  • Flash not loading  images in FireFox

I have a website that loads a small flash object that gets
it's images from an txt file. It all works fine in IE but not in
FireFox. I have the newest version of FireFox and Flash player 9
plugin. It loads the flash object and background but will not load
the images. It is supposed to fade several images in and out.
    The website is
    schakolad.com
If you view it in IE you can see how it is supposed to look.
Then view it in FireFox and you will see that it does not load the
fading images. I have done several tests including having the txt
file and the images in the same directory as the swf and the ASP
page. I have checked file and directory security. Still does not
work. I have saved the txt file in several formats including UTF-8,
    Still does not work.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

In looking at your code, it looks like your problem is coming
from a malformed embed tag. You need to add the FlashVars parameter
to your embed if you want it to work in any browser other than IE.
IE doesn't need the embed tag to display flash content, and every
other browser REQUIRES it. Every <param> tag you use must
have a pair in the <embed>.
Here is your object with this added:
    <object
    classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0"
    width="280" height="288">
    <param name="movie" value="products.swf">
    <param name="quality" value="high">
    <PARAM NAME=FlashVars
    VALUE="dfname=Images/Flash/data.txt">
    <embed src="products.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="
    http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer"
    type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="280" height="288"
    flashvars="dfname=Images/Flash/data.txt"></embed></object>

  • Facebook and other websites not loading properly in Firefox (Solution)

This is for anyone who has had issues loading Facebook, eBay, twitter or any other site which shows plain text pushed to the left hand-side of the screen and fails to load images.
This issue had me stumped for about 3 hours. No matter what I did. No matter what I disabled. The problem remained. I cleared my cache, reset cookies, disabled addons, reset Firefox to default settings and kicked my pc a few times for good measure.
The problem was fairly simple and at my end, this is not a problem with firefox. SSL certification for facebook was being deemed invalid and therefore the site failed to load properly. Now because Firefox doesn't deal with SSL certificate failures, there had to be something else going on in another program. I then realised that Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 was the problem. If a website failed SSL certification for any reason Kaspersky Blocks access to the site which was causing the page to not load properly. You have to disable Kaspersky's SSL certifcation checks to be able to run the websites properly. You need to load your Kaspersky main menu and click Settings once there go to the tab that looks like a cardboard box (Object Detection Settings and Exclusion Rules) then when you can see a list of different options select Network and you should see Monitored Ports and Encrypted Connections Scan, disabled the encrypted connections then reload Firefox and try the webpage that wouldn't load. To know that kaspersky is the problem, you will get a dialogue saying you have to add facebook as an exception since it failed SSL Certification and this was the culprit for me atleast.
I looked at the mozilla support forums and it seemed to me, many people were getting this issue and some issues went completely unresolved and there was no mention about Kaspersky, so I hope this helps.'''bold text'''

Hi Hindhaughlee, <br />Thanks for the post.
This may not be the best place to post such a solution but maybe some users will find it. If it turns out to be a major problem with a simple solution maybe we will manage to document it somewhere.
Are you able to provide more details please:
    * exactly what software and software versions is the problem with ? <br /> You appear to be a Windows 8 user, but presumably the Kaspersky software may be applicable to other Windows versions, which Kaspersky software is this tested with ?
    * What is he exact error message or warning that Kaspersky generates in this situation ?
    * is the problem documented elsewhere, preferably in a public open site, if so maybe you could provide a link
    * can you detail simple but exact detailed Steps To Reproduce that will enable others to test out this problem and solution.
    Cheers
John <br /> One of the forum moderators J99
    P.S. <br />
Anyone with this problem finding that the solution works may wish to vote for this thread and solution. Or if someone else can produce links to examples of this or you are able to give precise Steps To Reproduce please add a post of your own.

  • Firefox free download will not load on the firefox page

when I go to firefox page to download firefox the green box is not there and will not load so I am not able to download firefox on my desktop. i have tried everything to have it load. I am trying to get rid of ie!!!

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

  • One website will not load suddenly

All of a sudden one website that i frequently visit will not load on my Apple Extreme network with any of my computers and devices. I can load the website if i'm at work or off the home network. Why is this happening? If i connect to the cable providers modem, i can access the site. As soon as i plug back into the Airport Extreme, i cannot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

These are really hard to figure out.
What firmware is on the AE? Did it recently upgrade?
I suggest you downgrade firmware.. 7.6.1 is usually more reliable.
If it is an old AE then even 7.5.2 might be worth a try.
Also just do a factory reset on the AE and see if you get any improvement after redoing the setup.

  • Flash and Java constantly do not load/work in Firefox, despite having the updated versions of all three programs. Why?

Java and Flash on web pages do not work, and I have to switch browsers in order to use certain pages. I would rather not do that if Firefox could handle Java and Flash applications. Sometimes, my browser just crashes altogether when trying to use a Java or Flash application.

This is not a problem specific to Lion, but most recent OS X versions. Regularly I receive email formatted as HTML, which includes JPEG images embedded within them. These images are technically attachments, and as such, Mail.app displays them as a placeholder. Other mail apps will display these images inline, regardless of them being an attachment, remote image or otherwise.
How can I make these images load automatically?
    MacBook, Unibody, Mac OS X (10.7), 750GB, 7200RPM WD HDD, 4GB RAM
This solved my question by louse101  on Jul 26, 2011 3:47 AM
No-one replied, but I found a solution on another board. Run Terminal (do a Spotlight search if you don't know where to find this), and type:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool false
This will force Mail not to disable inline attachment viewing. Obviously, to reverse this, simple replace 'false' at the end with 'true'.

  • The last tab, furthest to the right, does not load when restarting FireFox.

Whenever I restart firefox, the last tab I had opened does not load. The matter of restarting can be any kind: new add on installed, new firefox update, restarting the browser manually, or restarting my computer so that firefox is automatically closed. It's always the same problem. The last tab will be displayed as my New Tab page, which is blank. I can have 3 tabs open, and the first 2 will load just fine, but the last doesn't. This means that if I restart for an add-on or something, I need to go back into my history to pull up this last tab, which is inconvenient. And it may not have been my most recent tab. I may open this last tab, go back to an earlier tab and surf the web on that, building my history, and then restart firefox for whatever reason. In those instances, I need to open up the history window and dig for that last tab from memory.

Alright. It appears to be an addon called Load Tabs Progressively. I'll just leave that disabled.
