Jawbone Bluetooth / Speakerphone Bug

I have the Jawbone hooked up to my iPhone. When I answer a call and pick speaker phone, the iPhone initially connects to the speakerphone and then, after a word, jumps the audio selection back to the Jawbone. Can anyone with an iPhone and Jawbone duplicate this bug?

Actually, I have a similiar bug. My husband and I both have iPhones and JawBone headsets. We both have the following problems:
1. If the headset and phone are paired, then if I make a call NOT using the headset, the following call (incoming or outgoing) will not be picked up by my jawbone headset -- even though the Bluetooth option says it is paired and when I make/receive that call, I do not get any audio source options. I have to unpair and repair every time this happens -- annoying!
2. If I want to use the phone and not the ear piece, and I click the audio source as iPhone, it will still send it to my headset. I then have to click the iPhone audio source a second time. This is hard to manage since I'm expecting the call on the iPhone and have it up to my ear (and the screen turns off, of course).
I hope this gets fixed!!

  • Bluetooth Speakerphone with Voice Dial?

    Hi All,
Because the iPhone does not support voice dialing, I am looking for a speakerphone that does it by itself. I have found the Parrot Minikit Slim, which attaches to the visor, and downloads the contacts from the phone. Then all I have to do is press a button and say the name of the person I want to call. The kit's voice recognition finds the contact, and dials it. It even asks, "Home or Cellphone" if I did not specify. This part works very well, and I am very pleased with it, but the call quality does not seem to be that great.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any other bluetooth speakerphones that will do this. It must be able to download the contacts and do voice dialing on its own, as this is the only reason I want to replace my Jawbone II which has excellent call quality.
Thanks for any suggestions or reviews.

I have 2 Parrot Minikit Slims and really like them (one in each vehicle). The connect to the iPhone with no problem, and download the contacts, then you can do voice dialing from the kit without touching the phone at all. Call quality is pretty decent, the reason I started this post was to see if there were any others that did this and might be better. We use them all the time.
I haven't had any issues with disconnections. If you walk out of range, the kit will turn itself off in a fairly short amount of time... 5 minutes maybe. I just got into the habit of touching the power button whenever I get in the truck. A single touch turns it on, and if it is already on, it does nothing.

  • I cannot get my jawbone bluetooth, which I bought at an apple store to pair with my 4s. Any thoughts? I've tried 100 times., I cannot get my jawbone bluetooth, which I bought at an apple store to pair with my 4s. Any thoughts? I've tried 100 times.

I cannot get my jawbone bluetooth to pair. It worked with my 3G and when I switched over to the 4S, it just keeps searcing. I have removed the device from my old phone settings and have completely turned off the phone, but it still keeps searching and searching.
Not clear why this wouldn't pair, I bought this at an Apple store.
    Any thoughts or advice?

I'm trying to pair my jawbone bluetooth device to my new 5s iphone but the phone just searches endlessly, what should I do?

to pair a headset one needs to put the headset in pair /discovery mode it's not in that constant because that would mean their battery would run out very quickly
read the manual of the headset how you put it into pairing mode

  • Excite 7.7 JB bluetooth drivers bug (pairing issues)

    Hi!
There's a relatively well known Android Bluetooth drivers bug that causes constant unjustified pairing requests from an already paired device. My Excite 7.7 (JB) is definitely prone to it with the Torque Pro app. I think the occurrence of the bug is both Android OS version and application dependent. For example, see discussion here:
    http://torque-bhp.com/forums/?wpforumaction=viewtopic&t=2076.0
The developer basically says that the manufacturer needs to come up with a fix. I do not really want to get involved in a lengthy phone conversation trying to convince the support people that the bug exists. Any ideas?

While in the office yesterday I backed up my phone, wiped it and reloaded iOS 7.1.1, BT pairing issues resolved. PITA!

  • If JAWBONE bluetooth headset cannot pair with my iphone

if Jawbone bluetooth headset cannot pair with my iphone but able to pair with another iphone, is that bluetooth issue with my iphone, thanks?

Possibly - but, are you certain you are properly putting the Jawbone in discoverable mode? You must do that to pair it with the iPhone. A Jawbone headset certainly can be paired with the iPhone. Have you tried pairing any other headset with the iPhone?

  • Does the Jawbone Bluetooth work on iPad?

I am reading all over the place the Jawbone Icon and Hero work with the AD2P profile update on the headset. People say this works with iOS 4 and up, however, does it really work?
If anyone has this setup for Skype or Talkatone, please let me, any everyone else know if the audio and mic really work on this headset at the same time so I don't have to drop money on a device that doesn't work for my needs.
Alternatively, is there a good wired solution. I noticed Apple wants a cool $100 for their wired headset with a mic. Amazon has mountains of alternatives but all of the reviews are mostly bad. So, if you use one of these apps with a headset, what do you use and does it work for you?
    Thanks for the replies.

So, the audio and mic will work over Bluetooth? I noticed they have an iPod dongle but I am going to assume that is for the old generation players. I am going to take a leap of faith here and order these. thanks for you feedback, I will find out tomorrow if I can Skype with these bad boys. I am glad because I really don't like the look of the the wired mics.

  • IOS 5 Bluetooth Keyboard Bug

I have the Boxwave Keyboard Buddy Case and when I am in the Messages app, it seems to think the virtual keyboard is there, but really isn't.......I can't see the vKB....its just a blank space...this happens up to 5.1.1, but didn't happen before iOS 5.....if I start to scroll the mesages the all appear, but the little scroll bar on the right starts above where the vKB should be....this doesn't happen all the time....and it you scroll the missing keyboard away it goes back to normal and they start at the bottom. not top...but comes back after a while....normally when the spot to type is selected and it rotates to portrait, then back to landscape....and I send a message, the message I just sent goes to the top pushing all other messages out of view....thanks for your help...hope apple fixes it someday....not a big bug though...
    Picture attached below:

    Hi Brian,
I have the exact same problem.
No bluetooth detection at all, between my iPad, my iPhone 3GS, my iPhone 4S, and all other bluetooth devices !!!!
Apple do something quickly to fix that please, any other people can confirm this major bug ??

  • IOS 4.2.1 + Jawbone Bluetooth problems

Has anyone got the Jawbone Prime to work successfully with iOS 4.2.1? I thought it was a problem with the 3G and traded it for a 4 this weekend (thank you Radio Shack!), and now the voice quality has gotten worse. I tested the headset with my Blackberry 8800 and it works perfectly. I know there has been some Bluetooth issues with the iPhone 4, but I didn't expect it to be worse than my 3G, and now I'm stuck with a brand new 4 and recently purchased Jawbone I can't use together.
Please do not reply with "but mine works"... because mine doesn't and I'm on my third iPhone and second Jawbone in two months.

You just contradicted yourself - you asked if anyone has gotten the Prime to work, and then said you don't want to hear from anyone who has gotten it to work.

  • How do I stop phone from ringing (externally) while using Jawbone bluetooth

I recently purchased a Jawbone ERA and I noticed that the phone (externally) rings while I have the Jawbone in my ear.  My previous bluetooth only rang in my ear.
If I set the phone to vibrate, then it stops the external ring and I only hear it in my ear, but then I don't get email and text tones in my ear if it's on vibrate.
I would like it to only ring in my ear w/o having to put it on vibrate.
    Can anyone help with this?

Vibrate and what you call "mute" are the same thing.  The little button on the side that's orange?  That's the button I'm talking about.  It puts it on vibrate because have it set to "vibrate on silent."  Regardless, it would have the same result.
I don't want a vibrate only ringtone - then I have to keep changing the ringtone back to "sound" every time I stop using the bluetooth.  I want the bluetooth to work like a bluetooth is supposed to work.  When it's in your ear . . . every sound should be going . . . in your ear.   For the price of this Jawbone, you should be able to silence the external ring.  My cheap Motorola bluetooth did it.
I have a message in to Jawbone too, so hopefully they'll be able to help.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

  • Speakerphone bug identified in 1.1.2

While on a call using speakerphone, adjust volume while you talk. Your voice will completely drop out to the listener on the other end. Drop outs seem to last about 3-4 seconds, enough to drop 4-5 words or so each time you press the volume (in either direction).
I'm told this is a mic gain problem, software in nature, and was worsened by 1.1.2. Even though the speaker and mic are so close together, they apparently can be adjusted to work together - Motorola has done it for years.

(I assume with the recently added/edited articles link ;D)
i eventually realised that trying to conduct the conversation using edits in my previous post wasn't tremendously helpful. yep ... that one showed up buried underneath all the KB docs related to Mac OS 10.4.6. we may yet see a few more explicit reports of bug-fixes coming through over the next few days via that link:
Articles modified in last 7 days
... although i don't have as good a feel for that as i do for patterns of bug-fix reports after new itunes versions come out. (less practice.)

  • Errors wih E71 and Bluetooth Speakerphone in Skoda...

I have a Skoda Fabia II with a manufaturer built-in speakerphone. It worked well when connectetd with bluetooth to a Nokia 6288. Now I have an E71 and get following errors:
1.)The phonebook displayed in the car is ordered by firstname, surname instead of surname, firstname and
    2.) the phonenumbers are displayed e.g. xxExxxxNxxxxxx instead of xx(xxxx)xxxxxx e.g. 49E89N8581... means +49(89)8581...
Has anyone an idea, how to fix this?
    Regards

This one is driving me mad - I think it is worse on the new firmware. I want to go back.
When I first start my phone, DUN is on channel 4... after ???? happends it used to move to 2. And it was usable....
NOW it moves to 3 and is not usable. I have to reboot the thing.
If I wanted to reboot my phone all the time I would have bought a winmobile device.
And headset/stereo sound support is very **bleep**.
    **bleep** **bleep** **bleep**.
(And why is the RF antenae in the bottom of the phone? What moron thought that was a good idea?)
How could they ruin such a beautiful thing?!!!!

My iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.1) will not pair with a Yada Bluetooth car speakerphone. (Android phone has no problem.) Is there a fix?
    Thanks

    Hello grassyknap,
For most issues with pairing your iPhone with a Bluetooth device like your car, then take a look at the article below to sort you out. Make sure to reset network settings to clear it out from your frequent pairings to reestablish the connection.

  • Reliable Bluetooth speakerphone  unit for iPhone 4

Hi, I just got my husband his first iPhone (Verizon) and am now looking for a Bluetooth visor speakerphone (not headset) for him to use with it when he's traveling in his car. I've read through the forum discussions and can't find reference to any brands/units that work well with iPhone 4? Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • HT204368 Apple should be ashamed to launch iPhone 5 without checking whether the Bluetooth is working they are fooling people. The iphone 5 does not discover jawbone Bluetooth at all iPhone 5 use to it is very bad on the part of Apple

As I mentioned Apple should take immediate steps to see that they correct this grave mistake with Bluetooth pairing since it is the least they could have tested before they launch this useless model .immediate means in 12 hrs the least they can do

Bluetooth works with headset and Nissan bluetooth here.
With what model Jawbone are you having a problem? What have you
tried to resolve the problem? What is the exact wording of
any error message you received? Have you looked at the Jawbone
    fora for suggestions?
