JAXB Woes

Question

Although I find JAXB convenient if nothing else, I'm have a big problem.
I can unmarshall my XML file perfectly. But if I try to hand off the root node of my own parse tree, the marshaller only writes the nodes below my root. So instead of getting my one root node written with all the second-level nodes below it, the marshaller writes all the second-level nodes as multiple root nodes.
Anybody have any problems with this??

Pass it the Document 'node' not the root node. From the API:
Unmarshalling from a org.w3c.dom.Node:
       JAXBContext jc = JAXBContext.newInstance( "com.acme.foo" );
       Unmarshaller u = jc.createUnmarshaller();
       DocumentBuilderFactory dbf = DocumentBuilderFactory.newInstance();
       dbf.setNamespaceAware(true);
       DocumentBuilder db = dbf.newDocumentBuilder();
       Document doc = db.parse(new File( "nosferatu.xml"));
       Object o = u.unmarshal( doc );
