JBL Onstage Speaker

I bought the JBL Onstage speaker and the sound is great, there is however one issue. You are given several sized plastic pieces to fit over the connector on the speaker so that your ipod model fits correctly and looks good.
Each plastic piece is marked with the model (mini etc.), when I put the mini piece in place and put my mini into it it will not sit down on the connector enough for it to charge! If I do not use the plastic filler piece my mini sits onto the connector with no issues.
Also a bit dissapointed that you need to connect a wire from the JBL into the headphone socket to get sound, other systems work directly from the connector.
Am I doing something wrong?

I do not want to spread about it, but I did give a JBL another go, I bought the 2nd gen of JBL OnStage (with the remote), which is still running fine without any probelm

Ipod not charging with JBL Onstage speaker

My ipod Photo has stopped charging when plugged into the v1 JBL Onstage speakers.
I don't think it was supposed to be compatible with the first gen ipod photo, but it used to charge fine, the only thing that has changed is the ipod software has been updated. I've tried reinstalling and restoring the ipod but no luck.
Anybody had the same problem or got a fix?

IPhone No Longer Works with JBL Onstage III

Is anyone experiencing a similar issue after upgrading your iPhone 1st generation to 2.1? Now, when I pop my phone into the JBL Onstage III, it gives me the prompt that it's not a compatible device, and would I like to put it in airport mode. It's also not charging all the time, and seems to take a few second to even recognize it's plugged in.
Is it my phone, or is the JBL speaker system dying on me?

That is wild! My receiver had problems under 4.1, and I upgraded to 4.2 last night hoping to rectify things. It worked for me, flies through the menus and plays back beautifully again.

HT5479 My brand new ipod nano is no longer connedting to my brand new jbl wireless speaker. It worked fine the first day and now either cannot find the apeaker or the connection "fails." Any advice?

I bought my dad a new ipod nano and a jbl wireless speaker from the same apple store. Everything worked perfectly with the bluetooth connectivity the first day. Then my dad accidentally hit the "forget this device" button when he was trying to turn the bluetooth off. Now the nano either does not recognize the device or it will recognize the device but not connect. I would appreciate any advice.

Does it charge on a computer? Does it appear in iTunes?
If so:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Have you tried contacting your phone carrier to activate the phone?
Do you have a sim card?

JBL PowerUp Speaker Power Cord

I have a JBL powerup speaker, and I love it, however theower cord that came with it is one of those that has a switchable outlet, which broke and now causes the device to go on and off unless held in place. Is there anyone who knows where exactly I could get a new outlet attachment for the U.S. or even a new cord all together? I cant seem to find one anywhere. It's an 18V 2.5A switchable power supply model number EFS5001800250CE.

Cannot get bluetooth connection on my MacBook Pro with new JBL Flip speaker. It is pairing, but not connecting. Have set it up, but still doesn't work. JBL says problem is with computer. Any suggestions?

We have a tower, and I don't see an on/off button. Should I just unhook the power cord from the tower? We also have the phone line hooked to the tower, should I unhook as well? I'm assuming the PC is off before I do this?
Then, turn the computer back on?

IOS update makes docking station incompatible (JBL OnStage 200ID)

I have been using the iPod/iPhone docking station JBL OnStage 200 ID for quite a while, and was also very happy with it. Since I updated my iPhone 4 and 2nd generation iPod Touch to iOS 4.2 a while ago, the dock doesn't work as it did before. Both devices still play music through the dock, but do not charge anymore, and display messages that the connected peripheral is "unsupported".
I could cope with the pop-up messages, but I really need the dock to charge the devices. Has anyone of you experienced the same problem with a JBL device, or even found a solution to the problem? I thought, this would be something a firmware update of the docking station could fix, but according to the JBL support "they are not responsible for what Apple breaks in their software updates" ... Any ideas?

Jbl bluetooth speaker error message

I'm trying to use my JBL bluetooth speaker with my MacBook Pro, OS 10.7.5. It will connect briefly, but then cuts off, and I get an error message. I've tried deleting the device, and adding it back in, but that hasn't helped.

If this is a wireless Bluetooth speaker then put it into "discover" mode following speaker directions.
Go to Setting > Bluetooth on your iPad. Turn Bluetooth ON (if Off), locate your speaker and tap it to connect.

JBL Radial Speaker with an S-Video Output

I'm trying to watch videos that are on my iPod classic. I have a black JBL radial iPod speaker that has an S-Video output. I have plugged in an S-Video cable to both my TV (on the specific S-Video channel) and speaker and have the iPod docked. When I tell my iPod to play a movie I bought from the iTunes store, it comes up with the "TV Out Enabled Please Connect Video Accessory" picture. Any suggestions what I should do? Thanks.

I think this is happening because the iPod classic doesn't support the firewire connection that my speaker uses. Does this sound right?

Nope. You can only be connected to one Bluetooth speaker at once.

Connecting JBL bluetooth speaker to iMac

Hi, I just purchased a JBL Charge and want to connect it to my iMac desktop. However, my iMac cannot find the JBL Charge in Bluetooth set up. It doesn't list the JBL in the discovered devices. I'm running Yosemite 10.10.1. I have no problem connecting to my MacBook Air, iPad, or iPhone. But I want to connect to my iMac to avoid downloading music to the other devices. Has anyone else seen this? Is there a fix? Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you're not able to pair your JBL Charge with your iMac, but you can pair it with your other devices.
Start with these troubleshooting tips to troubleshoot the bluetooth connection on your iMac:

Check your device's system requirements
Make sure that your computer meets your Bluetooth device's system requirements—visit the device manufacturer's website for details.
Check for a Bluetooth update
To check for new software, choose Software Update from the Apple menu (make sure that your computer is connected to the Internet). If newer Apple Bluetooth software exists, Software Update will prompt you to install it. To install an update, select the checkbox next to the software name and then click Install.
Reduce potential signal interference
Because Bluetooth works by transmitting signals through the air, some things can interfere with connections. Avoid situations in which metal objects come between your device and computer. Don't put your computer under a metal desk or in a metal cabinet. Keep your computer away from cordless phone base stations, microwave ovens, and other electrical devices that operate on a 2.4 GHz bandwidth. Mac will not play sound through JBL Bluetooth speaker

My MacBook Pro will connect to the Bluetooth speaker, but refuses to play the sound through it. Seems like it isnt just me who has this issue. What can I do to connect it? Please help.
Note: It works fine with other devices.

UPDATE: Fixed this by simply disconnecting the speaker, turning the volume up full then reconnecting. Saw it on another post, didnt think it would work but surprisingly it did. Very Strange.
