could you be specific what is your spcific problem. other wise its difficult to suggest something.
step 1: create a .war file or .ear file depending upon whether you have only web application or EJB as well
step 2: log on to application server using administrative login
step 3: create a webapplication using the administrative interface
will ask for uploading .war or .ear file
these are the rough steps for giving you an idea what to do.
I think it will help you
Thanks

Error when deploying war file into application server
I wrote a web service in java using RAD and managed to check it using a web service client with no errors.
However, after creating a war file and tried to deploy this into the Sun application server, the following can be seen at the application server console:
Deploying application in domain failed; Error while running ejbc -- Fatal Error from EJB Compiler -- jaxrpc compilation exception ; requested operation cannot be completed Error while running ejbc -- Fatal Error from EJB Compiler -- jaxrpc compilation exception

What difference between Oracle 9i AS and orion application server?
Hi:
Today I visited some website and read an information that Oracle 9i AS and orion application server are two differece application server. But When I start Oracle 9i AS ,I must use command of "java -jar orion.jar".Are they the same application server? If not ,can you tell me what difference?
Thanks
Best regards,
hysonHi Liu,
I'm sure other people will coreect any errors I am about to make
(if I make any :-), but some time ago, Oracle mad a licensing
agreement with a company called IronFlare, regarding IronFlare's
application server product called OrionServer. After that, Oracle
came out with a new product -- Oracle Containers for Java (OC4J)
-- which is based on OrionServer. In the first version (that had
the version number 1.0.2.2), the application server basically came
bundled in the "orion.jar" file, so in order to start up the application
server, you used a command like:
java -jar orion.jar
However, the next version of OC4J (with version number 9.0.2.0.0
[go figure ;-]), contained the "oc4j.jar" file (which replaced
the "orion.jar" file).
So I would say that the first version of OC4J was almost identical
to OrionServer. But I think subsequent versions are becoming more
and more different. Remember that at the same time, OrionServer
is also still being developed. I think the first version of OC4J
was based on version 1.5.2 of OrionServer. The next version of
OrionServer (that should be released soon) is version 1.6.0.
I have no idea how similar the latest version of OrionServer is
to the latest version of OC4J. But if Oracle's history is any
guide, then I would say that, eventually, OC4J and OrionServer
will have very little similarity between them. Just look at the
paths that Oracle's JDeveloper has taken in comparison with Borland's
JBuilder. Originally, JDeveloper was based on JBuilder. Today,
they are two completely different products.
Hope this has helped you.
Good Luck,
Avi. -
Jbuilder 6 enterprise and weblogic server 6.1 integration problem
hello,
i am using jbuilder 6 enterprise and weblogic server 6.1. i just got a new
workstation and imported my old project from cvs into jbuilder and
everything is fine up to this point.
the application in question is using servlet filters, so i absolutely need
web application version 2.3. it seems, though, that my jbuilder believes for
some reason that only tomcat 4 and borland enterprise server are capable of
using servlet filters. i cannot remember how i fixed this last time around,
but i did somehow. i had a recollection that the jb6_all_001 patch did the
trick, but obviously it didn't this time, at least. what is really annoying
is that the wizard does not allow me to create servlet filters and the
webapp dd editor does not allow me to configure filters, either. of course,
i can edit web.xml manually, but starting the server changes the dtd back to
2.2 and removes everything that is 2.3 specific.
please help me fix this?at the moment it is possible for me to work, though. i worked around the
problem and i set web.xml as a read only file. i still can't use wizards to
create servlets and i can't edit web.xml with jbuilder. -

mahmoud_ahmedhow can i use the tomcat server in NB IDEYou can use either the bundled tomcat server or the bundled Sun Java System Application server for a given application. (In fact, you can also register any other 'supported server' with the ide and work with that server. Go to the 'Runtime' tab in the explorer window. Right-click an add-server menuitem; you will be taken to a dialog box where you will be presented with a list of supported servers; if you have any of those installed on your machine, you can register them with the ide).
To run a project on tomcat, open the project properties window (from the right-click menu of the project in the project window) , select 'Run' category and select the required server from the 'Server' dropdown list.
will it also crash? If the problem is with the application, then it is very likely that it will crash on tomcat too. On the other hand, if the problem is with the server settings, then it is possible that the app may run in one server but not on another...
if used another program as JBUILDER will it needs also the SJSYes; you will need a webserver or an application server to deploy your web applications. NetBeans IDE provides a robust environment that helps develop and debug web apps but the apps themselves are deployed on an appserver.
what do u mean by the server stack traceOn the runtime tab, right-click on SJSA and select 'view server log' to view the server log. (For a running tomcat, you can right-click and select 'view server output'...)
i am using SJS 8.2 on NB IDE 4.1You may want to use later versions of NB (5.0 or 5.5 beta2; http://www.netbeans.org/downloads/index.html).
Have u tried the samples and tutorials at:

How to delete the record in the file present in the application server?
Hi,
I have two questions.
i) How can I delete a record based on some condition in the recordx in the file that is present in the application server?
ii) How can I lock the users whiel one user is accessing the file on the application server?
Thanks in advance.
SuvanHi,
If u want a frequent deletion this approach to delete a record from a file will havee unnecesary copy of records from one file to another and deletion of one file and renaming activities.
Instead what u can do is Add and field del_flag to ur record structure.
If u want to delete the record from a file just mark this del_flag as 'X'.
While processing u can have a loop like
loop at it_XXX where del_flag <> 'X'.
endloop.
This will logically delete the record.
When u r to finish the application at that time only perform this copying / deleting / and renaing activity
Hope this helps.
Cheers,

Regards,
KartikeyaHi
need to create xml file in r3 application server (AL11) using PI.Can we achieve this using file adapter or we need to proceed with proxy.
To generate file at AL11 file directory use File adapter. Proxy is not required for this
Its giving the error as "Unable to create new pooled resource:FTPEx:Login incorrect".
1. Check with the Login credentials for the FTP service.
2. FTP User you use in communication channel must have 777 access to FTP location.
Thanks
Gaurav
