JBuilder surprize

Hello guys hwo use JBuilder.
I use JBuilder4 and 20 minutes ago it played with me a strange game. I worked and everything was ok untill I've decided to save a project on diskette. Then if I wanted to save something it always asked for diskette.
I quit JBuilder but to my surprize I couldn't start it again clicking on my project data.jpr
I restarted computer but id didn't help : if I try to start my project clicking data.jpr it always asked a diskette and even with inserted diskette it didn't work!
When I try to start JBuilder.exe it writes me following :
Unable to create Browser socket at port 8'888.
And then again a window : there is no disk in drive a..
I tried to close a window which gave me JBuilder
and received :
***Shutdown request received ***
Attempting to save all open files.java.lang.NullPointerException
at
1 com.Borland.primetime.ide.ProjectView.getOpenProjects(unknown sourse).
2 com.Borland.primetime.ide.Browser.doSaveAll(unknown sourse)
3 com.Borland.primtime.ide.eh.run (unknown source)
Unable to save one or more files.
What does it mean?
Help please if anybody can!! I'am shocked!

Sorry, but it seems stupid to me to let JBuilder save a project on diskette.
I would always use JBuilder on a local HD drive, even not on network drives.
If you have finished your JBuilder work, you can save your project directory whereever you want.
But to use it furtherly, copy it on a HD drive again.
To help you from your problem:
Put in this diskette.
Open JBuilder.
Close this diskette project.
Close JBuilder.
Pull out your diskette.
Open JBuilder again.
Everything ok?
If not (I may have thought something wrong):please post again.
And to be honest against JBuilder, we should mention, that this could happen just the same way with nearly every file saving application.

  • Prints in JBuilder; but not as application

I am using the 1.4 PrinterJob for Graphics2D with PrintServices. This is very similar to the example from Sun. It prints just fine when I run the program inside JBuilder7. When I run it as an application under Windows, the print() method is called, but nothing ever appears on the printer. There is a job qued in the print manager, but it never prints. I am trying to print to an hp 750. If anyone sees what I am missing I would greatly appreciate your response.
    thanks,
    tim

I checked carefully; I am starting java with a shortcut pointing to same path as jre set in JBuilder C:\...java.exe -cp etc.
Occasionally the program WILL print stand alone, but most often will not. Always generates a print request in print manager but it never processes. Any other thoughts?
    thanks,tim

  • Korean Fonts from inside JBuilder fine, outside not?

Hi guys, thanks for taking a look at my problem.
I have an applet that builds and runs successfully within JBuilder. I can choose
either Korean or English and, via a C++ server, load the correct resource
strings from a given unicode text file and display them correctly.
( I've previously loaded the korean win2000 language pack, and renamed my font.properties.ko file to font.properties. )
I then create a .jar archive & accompanying html page and place them on a webserver.
When I then access the applet using IE I only see square boxes where my wonderful Korean used to be!?
I've tried manually setting the encoding to be Korean within IE, alas to no avail. Anyone got any ideas? I had hoped that providing a user had installed the correct language pack, the applet would be able to display things correctly..
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Grant Appleyard

  • Hello, my name is Karan Taneja and i have been a loyal Apple customer. I have been using Apple since it introduced iphone 4 and have been upgrading/buying every new phone Apple introduces after that. I was always happy and surprized to see Apple doing so

Hello, my name is Karan Taneja and i have been a loyal Apple customer.
I have been using Apple since it introduced iphone 4 and have been upgrading/buying every new phone Apple introduces after that.
I was always happy and surprized to see Apple doing so good to its customers.
Unfortunately, i experienced some thing really unprofessional and different this time.
It begun suddenly one day when i tried to charge my phone, the phone was on silent mode and as usual the phone vibrated when i kept it for charge.
After a few seconds the phone vibrated twice or thrice again when i re-inserted the cable thinking it might be loose.
It continued to charge well when i left the room for 2 hours and finally when i returned i could see a damaged i phone 5
lying on the floor and the phone vibrating continuously and i figured out there was a fault with the cable and the
current wasnt flowing continuously due to which the phone continued to vibrate and fell off the shelf.
Next day i took the iphone to Apple service centre at Saket which was closed.
Thinking its August 15 and so the store might be closed i went back to home and waited for the next day but unfortunately could not turn up since
i had to go to work on odd timings.
I again went to the same service centre on 17th August 2013 and saw the service centre closed again when i tried to contact
the other service centre and was informed about Saket's service centre already been shut down.
There was no hoarding/ banner any kind of intimation for the customers.
Since 18th August was Sunday and i was occupied on 19th August i went to service centre at Ansal Plaza Khel Gaon Marg on
20th August 2013 to complaint about the Faulty Cable and the damaged caused to my iphone 5 due to the same.
I very well explained the same to one of the person at the receiving desk at the service centre who accepted the cable
but explained me that he doesnt have the authority to accept my iphone without permission from the technical support people
who will be able to help me in that case and gave me the toll free number.
i Tried to reach the toll free number and finally managed to get online with a technical support executives who too all my details and
summary of the problem i experienced and finally kept me on hold for almost 10 minutes ormore after which he said he said that my
case cannot be considered and while the discussion was on, the call was disconnected and i was left frustrated as i still was at the service centre
but finally i left with no hope from Apple .
I tried to reach again at the toll free number, and finally managed to talk to a well behaved person who assured me of considering my case and suggested
me to go back to the service centre and advice the the person at the recieving end there to get me connected to the technical support team when i reach so that i could
submit my phone but, since, it was already around 4:30 and the service centre was about to shut and due to traffic
conditions all around i thought of visiting the service centre next day.
On 21st August 2013, i went back to the service centre and spoke to the one of the store person who adviced the case to the manager Mr. Alok ( as i remember )
who was really rude to tell me that i will have to call the technical support team on my own and then he will connect and that its not his work and all that .
I finally connected to one of the senior technical support executives Mr.Mohamed Azharuddin K who understood my concern and spoke to the manager of the store to accept
    my iphone.
My iphone was finally collected and i was assured i would get a call back next day from the service centre about the update.
It was now 22nd August 2013, no update was given,no call was received, i tried to call the service centre at 12:30, they were unaware about my case and knew only about the cable and said will call me
    back very shortly.
I called back at 2:30, still no update, at 4:30 i called back again when i was told that my case cannot be considered and i can collect my phone.
Similar discussion was held with Mr.Mohamed Azharuddin K.
I knew by the time i will reach the service centre would again close.
He told me that my case cannot be considered since the cable was recieved in the dead condition and wasnt working at all unlike what i told him about the cable.
On 23th August 2013, i went back to the service centre and collected my phone. When i asked about my old cable and told them that it was working and i wanted the technician
to check it properly when i handed it over, they had no answer but to say its already shipped. I spoke to the manager who said that he never told any body that the cable
was received in dead condition and he only conveyed to other authorities that the cable had fault .
I finally dont know what to do and came back with the new cable.
I just visited my time, petrol and parking charges in getting the cable replaced.
If i calculated i have spent around 16 hours and 2000 worth of money in just getting the cable replaced and have a broken phone in hand.
    More than a weeks torture.
Is that the way apple compensates for its fault ????????????????
I will make sure that i never buy any thing from Apple and advice all the people i know to not trust Apple blindly.

Wow, Karan Taneja, you've just embarrassed yourself on a worldwide support forum.  Not only is your post ridiculous and completely inappropriate for a technical support forum, but it also shows your ignorance as to whom you think the audience is.  Apple is not here.  It's users, like you.
If you would have spent half the time actually reading the Terms of Use of this forum that YOU agreed to by signing up to post, as you did composing that usesless, inappropriate post, you (and the rest of us on this forum) would have been much better off.

  • Applet working on JBuilder but not on appletviewer!!!!!

I ve made a keybord. Here some buttons are missing. The user presses the buttons and shapes a word! When the jButton22 is pressed(Comparison button) the applet tells him if the result is true or false and displays an image(imageIcon foruser in jlabel forusers) with the correct result!!The jlabel for users is setVisible(false) and setVisible(true) when the comparison button is pressed and the result is wrong. My problem is that the jlabel works fine in JBuilder but when i run the applet in appletviewer the jlabel forusers isnt showing!!If i minimize and maximize the window then the label appears and from that point is working properly!Any suggestions would be appreciated!Thank you!!

I performed some testing on your program, and get an ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException on one of the buttons. So, I guess there have to be some implementation logic error.
Since I have no idea what your program is trying to achieve, here's what you can do:
    1. Try to shorten your program.
    2. Add your code piece by piece.
    3. Perform some logic testing.
    4. Repeat steps 2 & 3.

and the design window doesnt parsing the components....so plz
how would i solve this damm problem
    if i cant
plz provide me with jbuilder 9 or 10x

  • How do I set project paths in JBuilder 4?

    Hello,
I am trying to create a new project in JBuilder 4.
I used the project wizard and set my paths to the following folders:
    C:\OU2007\TM427\mysolution
However when the project and all files are getting saved to these folders:
    C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\jbproject
Have you any idea why this is? Im a bit confused on what I should enter for each of the paths in the project wizard, any help would be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Jason.

It's difficult to set a single font size without wrecking the display of most web sites. One alternative would be to store your preferred zoom level and apply that to all sites. This requires an add-on such as:
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6965/ Default FullZoom Level]
    * [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2592/ NoSquint]
    Does that work for you?

  • How can I generate a component array using JBuilder?

Now I'm using JBuilder to design my program's GUI. I wanted a JTextField array like this:nums[0]~nums[2].So I draged three JTextFields into the container at JBuilder's design view. But when I set the names of them as nums[x](x=0,1,2). I got a Error Message. It told me that I used a illegal name. How should I do, please?
    thank you a million!

The DIO ports on a MIO will not satisfy your needs (unless you move to LV RT).
They do not support buffered outputs.
Your update rate (how often you can set the port and clear it) is going to be limited by how fast (a-hem slow) windows will let you iterate,
    and,
    be non-determinstic.
    You could use,
    1) LV RT with the existing board, or
    2) FieldPoint PWM module, or
    3) Arbitrary waveform generators, or
    4) HS DIO board, or
    5) use the analog output of your baord where you que-up a 0 -5V waveform of the proper shape (i.e. make sure that the duty cylce fraction of the update values are high, the rest low).
This is just to get a PWM signal out.
Now there is another issue. Determinism. How often do you plan on reading your inputs and making a change to you
r PWM? If you plan on doing more often that 10/second, write your code to handle windows going out to la-la land when you expect it to be working.
Can you tell I like LV-RT.
I hope my ramblings have helped.

I get similar errors when I try to install JBuilder 2006.
Anybody knows how to solve this? Or maybe older versions of JBuilder work better?

You're right. This is whole part of install.bin containing LD_ASSUME_KERNEL commands:

I get similar errors after I uncommented back that line... Does it mean the installation file cannot be edited? It is 100 MB file with long script at the beginning and binary stuff after it. I have no experience with things like this... what to do?

  • Unable to connect to WebLogic from JBuilder 11.1.1.4

    Hi,
Just spent a few hours fuming over this, then solved it, thought I'd share it to hopefully save pain and hopefully someone will fix it!
    1. Created a SOA/BPM app in JBuilder
    2. Got to the point where I want to map BPM swim lane roles to WebLogic users
    3. Created a WebLogic Server IDE Connection as instructed and attempted to point it to localhost:7001 mydomain weblogic/Passw0rd etc.
    4. When I get to the test stage, it keeps failing saying "0 of 0 tests ran"
    5. After much searching discovered that you need BOTH admin AND managed server started to do this with a SOA app from JBuilder
    6. Still didn't fix it, grrr.
    7. Eventually realised it's missing libraries...
11.1.1.4 install puts all the WebLogic libraries here: <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/wlserver/server/lib/...
    8. Solution:
copy weblogic.jar from location in (7) to a newly created directory: <MIDDLEWARE_HOME>/wlserver_10.3/server/lib/... (notice the addition of '_10.3')
    9. Works a now, "9 of 9 tests" pass.

Any specific messages you see while opening the Application library..any error messages? Can you check the EPMA.log file?
Also check if there are any issues on the database front, limited database size maybe?
Do let us know the updates.

  • Did u know about this(jbuilder)

as we seen in jbuilder if u put dot(.) with object handel
then a seprate JList type component which contains
    methods and fields information
in above scenario i need to find out when u press key
a character print on text editor as well as
our focus is on JList componet and keyPressed event
also firing on JList at both time
    suggest ur views

it is very simple how jbuilder did it
i think it is simple to add a key listener on the editor after it is added to the editor check when a key is pressed if it is a "." then check if there is some identifier behind the "." if it is so then show all the methods available for that identifier. now when the list is visible again the key listener works if we press some character key like alphabets or numerics then this letter is appended in the editor. also after appending it seeks for the next matching item in the list and hilight it .other vise if it some controll key like arrow key is presed then the next item in the list is hilighted and focus again goes to editor so that it can sence new key. now if user press the enter key the hilighted item in the list is append to the editor. so this is the way i think it happens. further more Borland or Inspire corporation knows it better which made the JBuilder.
