JCAPS 5.1.3 Error re-deploying projects in Enterprise Manager

Hi
We are having an occasional problem when deploying and enabling JCAPS 5.1.3 projects from Enterprise Manager (see first error below). We've restarted the Logical Host with limited success. Also, we tried recreating the Deployment Profile, again with limited success. The intermittent nature of the problem suggests it's something that is being cached which is refreshed after a while. We haven't tried recreating the Connectivity Map and would like to avoid, if possible.
Does anyone know what causes the problem? Is there a proper solution? Or a workaround?
Thanks

Hi Experts,
I'm trying to protect a web service deployed in jcaps 5.1.1, using SAML assertions against an Access Manager 7/7.1, the web services clients are both, web and standalone applications, I also have read netbeans tutorials, that expose how to implement identity webservices using AppServer 9.1 + AccessManager 7.1 using the SAML Holder of key and other security mechanisms, but this implementation requiere modifications to the server.policy file to add support to SOAP message security providers and HttpServlet message security providers, the addition of a library called amwebservicesprovider.jar to the classpath suffix (this library implements the jsr-196 java Authentication Service Provider Interface for Containers) and aditional configuration required in the AM side that is not detailed in the tutorials.
Could someone guide me on how to protect the acces to a web services deployed in the jcaps logicalhost based on AM roles assigned to users?
Any help is aprecciated
Juan

We are able to deploy the same ear file using stand-alone container. We are planning for deployment in few days to go it live. Pls suggest what could be the problem.

  • Error while deploying in OC4J Enterprise Manager

Hello. I´ve got a problem deploying EAR and WAR files on my AS10g (904) via web enterprise manager. The following is a german orginal error output:
    Installation nicht erfolgreich:
Plug-In-Fehler beim Lesen von verwalteten Dokumenten.
    Root-Ursache: Expected 'EOF'.
Expected 'EOF'.
Translated in english would result in something like this:
    Installation not successfully:
Plug in error when reading administered documents.
    A root cause: Expected 'EOF'.
Solution:: The information of the "OC4J"-Komponente in the basic exception is possibly helpful.
In addition there are the following general problems:
    Wrong authorizations for files
configuration files are missing or are invalid. Expected ' eof '.
I tried different EAR files (like the oracle petshop ear file) and one war file but i get allways that mysterious error. Btw, I do not have any possibility to deploy it manualy via console.
Thank you for any hint and greetings,
    Daniel

  • Error while deploying project using HL7Adapter

    Hi,
I have created a sample project trying to read HL7 message from a text file and printing the output to another text file. The whole process goes through series of steps and adapters involved e.g. Text File to Queue to HL7Adapter to TCPIP adapter to final output text file. I am not modifying the contents.
Build is done successfully, but I am getting error while deployment which I am not able to figure out. If anybody is having any idea, please let me know. I am using Windows Vista 32-bit, JDK 1.6.07, Java CAPS 6.
If I reduce the steps to File->Queue->File, then it works fine, but involving HL7Adapter I am getting this error.

  • Ear deployment thru oracle enterprise manager fails

    Hi All,
When I try to deploy a ear thru oracle enterprise manager
gui it fails with the following error
Deployment failed: The configuration files for this Oracle9iAS instance are inconsistent with the configuration stored in the repository. In order to protect the repository, no further configuration or deployment operations are allowed until the problem with the configuration on the filesystem is resolved. This condition arises when a prior operation was unsuccessful. Please check the logs located at ORACLE_HOME/dcm/logs to determine why DCM was unsuccessful in updating the configuration files on disk. Some possible causes are: * permissions on files * file contention issues on Windows NT * EMD and dcmctl running concurrently * internal Oracle error After resolving the problem that prevented DCM from updating the configuration files, you may use the dcmctl resyncInstance command to resolve the problem. Alternatively, you can stop and then restart the active dcmctl or EMD process and resyncInstance will automatically be performed.
I checked the file permissions in the j2ee/home/config directolry, in this directory there is no xml file with read only permissions.
Also I restarted all the services.....but with no luck...
    TIA
    Swapnil

We had a similar trouble with deployment. Error message was "operation in progress". Restart is not enough, since server holds everything in temporary files and upon restart returns to the same state. Using dcmctl command line utility to deploy we've got some ADMN-2020 message (or something) and error text for this message (got it using again dcmctl, heh) adviced to run "dcmctl ResetFileTransactions". We haven't encountered any other source of solution than this message from dcmctl itself and it was working solution.
But the problem was just similar and we were using file based repository.
Try to run dcmctl to deploy application and read error messages issued by this command line utility. Seems it is used much more for deployment than web front end so it is more usefull.

Are you seeing this error when you try to start the OC4J_home component? Or when you try to start all of iAS?
I would suggest that you attempt to start the components one by one to see which one has a problem with starting up...

  • Error while deploying project from BCC

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to deploy a project from BCC. While deploying i'm getting following error.
CONTAINER:atg.process.ProcessException; SOURCE:atg.epub.project.AssetLockException: Failed to approve the project TRE-2013413193927 (id: prj550001) for deployment. Unable to obtain exclusive locks to one or more assets. Use the Lock Conflicts page to determine which assets are locked by other projects.
I checked lock assets, but there was no assets.
Can any one help me to resolve this issue..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Murali

In previous project we deployed same assets, but we deleted that project from DB(tables). Now there is no project with these assets.Probably you deleted the project which was not completed and so it might have been holding some asset locks. You might want to check the corresponding data in avm_asset_lock table in CA schema. Look out for the data corresponding to project's workspace-id in this table, clear that and then try to resume your deployment.
"/atg/commerce/catalog/ProductCatalog" is configured for deployment to this target by another Content Administration cluster named "DEV_ENV". You must ensure that only one Content Administration cluster is responsible for each repository in a given target. Looks that something is mixed up in your deployment topology. May be it was deleted and reinitialized without clearing previous cluster data. Go to /atg/epub/DeploymentAgent in dyn/admin component browser and check the details like: agent's deployment state, deployment mode, current live data store, cluster status etc. Try removing stale cluster from DeploymentAgent using the delete option provided there. Also remove stale cluster data from Publishing Web agent (if present) by navigating to <ATG>/home/PublishingWebAgent/data and deleting a file which might be there with a name like cluster-stat-oldCluster.

  • Error while deploying project

    All,
I have ben able to fix most the issue with deployment using ant. But I am still stick on one exception. Has anyone encountered this before.

    Hi,
When you initially ran the wizard to create the Engine tables you used a user and password that had been granted CREATE table authority for Sql Server.
When you publish and deploy a project with External Variables (project variables in 6.0), you are adding columns to one of the Engine's tables. When you get the error you're getting, this normally means that the database user you specified has not been granted ALTER privileges for the database tables.
This should be pretty easy for your DBA to check out and fix. Once they do the GRANT, do the publish and deploy once again.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

  • Error while deploying project with external variables

    Hi,
We are facing issue to deploy a project which contains external variables. In the process of publishing, we check true - Smart Publish. In the deployment process I get a screen where we define the Deployment Topology. On clicking Deploy button, the next screen we get an error which says:
Error(s) found while creating external variables for the following engines: <Engine_Name>: Login failed for the user '<DB User>'.
The DB User and the databases are created by the ALBPM Configuration wizard while configuring. We are able to login to SQL using the same userId and also can access the tables in the database. Also, we use the same DB userId for the Engine Databse too.
We are using ALBPM Enterrpise 5.7 MP3
    WebLogic 9.2
    SQL Server 2005
If anyone has resolved such issue earlier, we need your urgent help.
    Please suggest
    Thanks and Regards

  • Error while deploying project | BCC

    Hi
I am using an import service to import catalog data in my CA schema.
While importing, the import service fails giving the following error

"The Network Adapter could not establish the connection"
did you create db connection and test it?
There is an another way to deploy (tunneling).
create prod domain, you may have to extend your domain to include adf libraries.
    start admin server
goto, wl (http://<ip>:<port>/console) console create datasource
enable tunneling under server's protocol tab
create an app. server connection (View menu Application Server Navigator) in jdev
right-click on your app. goto Deploy - application name - to - new connection
run the jspx in the browser (http://<ip>:<port>/appname-ViewController-context-root/faces/jsfpagename.jspx)

  • Error when deploying ear to MAS managed AS 11g.

I posted this on General, but, I guess this is the right forum for this.
I used "asctl deployApp ..." to deploy ear to MAS mode AS11g and encountered a following error.
    Connected to:
Oracle Fusion Middleware Administration Server Release 11.1.1.0.0
    MAS Transaction started.
    MAS Transaction rolledback.
    MAS-0416: Management Exception.
    Cause:
    Java heap space
Is there any documents showing reason/solution for the error ?
If you can give an answer, that'll be great.
    Thanks,
    Incheol

Yes, my EAR has been deployed on WLS8.1.6 and works fine...
    Yes, i found com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.servlet.WebappContextListener on my web.xml
Ok my first run was giving me this:
    <Mar 20, 2010 3:00:05 PM ICT> <Error> <HTTP> <BEA-101163> <Could not load user defined listener: com.bea.wlw.runtime.core.servlet.WebappCont

And then I added my knex.jar and log4j.jar (on newly created domain on WLS10.3.2)...Thus giving me error on the first post....something like
